Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Great Resort

The Hotel was well kept and clean. The first few days no wine was available only to purchase. Wine became available as it should be with an all inclusive and food improved significantly in our last few days. Great place for a reasonable price. Beach and Pool great. Staff all friendly and helpful.

Melia Las Dunas: AWESOME RESORT

LOVED This resort. There is lots to do, shows are on almost every night. There are multiple bars and snack bars to choose from. At lunch you have a lot of options from an open salad bar to fresh Pizza, burgers, Poutine, fries and more. They have Heinz Ketchup also. The grounds are kept very clean and tidy. Fresh coconuts from gardener or grounds keeper to cure that Hangover, they are easy to come by. The staff and people are VERY Nice and polite! There are a lot of options for food at Breakfast and Dinner at the buffet. A lot more food options then I would have even thought. Waiters are also on par and quick to take care of you. The white sand beach is excellent. Few to No rocks to cut your feet on and pretty easy to walk on. If you ask any of the staff at the beach they can get you a beach chair. They have 2 beach bars. (Really 3 but the adult side of the resort was closed because of low attendance from COVID) BUT things are starting to really get back to life here. Lots of people to party with. The night life is not boring either with shows in the evening including a Beach party, Pool party after a water show and acrobatics in the lobby and more. You will not get bored at this resort that's for sure. Water in the pool is kept clean (it's also a massive pool) You can walk along the beach and past the closed resorts and hang with people from the nearby resort as well. If you want to meet new people, just get a buzz going at the Beach bar you will be sure to meet Many people there. Everyone we met was super friendly, It was a FANTASTIC 2 weeks we were there. Wish I could have stayed for longer. I would highly recommend it. Would come again in the near future.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Great place!!! Great team!

Just few days ago I and my wife come back from Royalton Cayo Santa Maria. I was really impressed not only by the place but also by the team, by people. They are doing everything what is possible to make us feel good, to enjoy this place, to relax, to have fun but also to have peace for reading and “meditation”, if that’s what you like. High class approach without being annoying – always pleasant conversation. Very professional people! They are fluent in many languages so there is no problem with communication. Our angel, person who is helping us in case of any question was Katia. She was sweetheart and she was very nice (her helper – too). There is a gardener, with characteristic dark hat, a titan of work, always - always busy, making “his” garden looking beautiful. So, we spend a beautiful week and we strongly recommend this place.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Relaxing Vacation

I enjoyed my vacation to Hotel Playa Paraiso. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms were incredibly clean. I had no problems finding food to eat (with the current situation in Cuba taken into account) The beverages were plentiful. I enjoyed my catamaran excursion. The lights on the pathways throughout the resort were turned off. It was extremely dark. We had no idea where to go and wandered around, carrying heavy luggage for a long time. We had a very difficult time finding our room block. When we finally arrived at block 4, we had to drag our luggage up 4 flights of stairs. This was difficult for me (female 40) but even more difficult for my 65 year old mother. To make it worse, there was no light in the hallways so it was again, extremely dark. We had a difficult time finding our room. After a long day of travel (including a delayed flight) this was distressing. It was a horrible beginning to what would end up being a very nice vacation. I would suggest that perhaps there could be overnight staff available to assist travellers who may be arriving late due to flight delays etc.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Fantastic resort

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: A Piece of Heaven

Fantastic Resort. We had a swim up room, Best room in the house. Lots of food. Wine and an abundance of Champagne. Very Covid safe...masks are mandatory entering and lobby or restaurant and staff wear them 24/7. Definitely recommend this Resort.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Very good resort

Mask are required only when entering the restaurant and during collecting your food. Outside- lobby, pool, beach: no masks. However, personal are wearing masks. Stars of the hotel are matching the quality. Small deficiencies that everyone can find are not important. People running the resort are friendly. Pool is loud from music. Beach is very nice. Ocean super! Food is mainly chicken and fish, plus reasonable fruits and vegies. Highly recommended after 2 years of trauma in Canada. Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Lovely people and very nice resort!

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff were all so very sweet, friendly and most helpful! Staff always wore masks and we felt very safe. The a la Carte restaurants were simply amazing and served delicious meals. The entertainment was above and beyond. So many talented performers. Loved the pool and especially the comfy cabanas! Beautiful beach as well!

I like to the holidays I love people where fover family and friends love the pool and the beach and the people too I will go back maybe next year I have no words to see bad the room was nice clean go back next year

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: We loved this resort!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Starfish Cuatro Palmas. The beach was beautiful with white sand and crystal blue waters. The food was great with lots of choices in fresh fruit and veggies. The staff were caring and wonderful. We will be back.

The resort is gorgeous. The adults only is a blessing! I love kiddos, but I have to admit, not having the screaming and yelling was peaceful. Due to Covid the resort was lacking in supplies. There was no wine at meals, no choices of meats at the buffet. No pizza, fries or hot dogs at the the grill. Most of the ala cartes were closed and the beach grill was closed. The last 2 days of our stay the head office folks showed up and voila! Wine at meals, hot dogs and pizza! Drinks were served in prope [... read more]r glasses, beer in frosted beer mugs. We had ketchup and mayo in wee serving dishes. Drink service around the pool! Staff were pulling out chairs for the female guests! A facade put on for the head honchos no doubt, but those 2 days (our last) were quite nice. Too bad it's not a regular habit. And this may be a little thing, but the resort has beautiful fountains everywhere, but only one runs and then not everyday! The rooms are spacious, plenty of hot water, good pressure. Staff are very good. Don't exchange your money into pescos. They take canadian money. And this is odd. They don't accept US money but everything in the gift stores etc are priced in US dollars. All in all it was an enjoyable resort and vacation. I'd try a different place next time though!

Hotel Villa Cuba: amazing staff resort still ok after 5th time

I was surprised the resort had the food a d drinks they did considering the hardship in cuba to find items off resort. the staff continues to be the best it was our 5th time to the resort I would like to see more food variety here it seems to be the same everytime

The grounds are beautiful, the pool area was great , the rooms could use some work and the entertainment was good.The beach area was awesome. Covid rules were adhered and it felt safe. The food was not very good. The workers were amazing and very friendly and helpful. We were not told about all the events going on and found out about them to late

Melia Las Dunas: Still an amazing resort

Stayed Mar 29th to Apr 8th.This was our 5th time visiting this hotel. 1st time since 2019 due to Covid. Only one half of the resort was open. Adult side is closed until they can bring it up to par. That would have been nice to know prior. As long as you are not expecting an expensive Canadian 5 star meal, the food was good. Staff at this hotel go up and beyond to make you feel comfortable. As far as tipping goes you can still give them peso's but it makes them happier to have loonies, toonies or [... read more] five's. Whatever you want to give they appreciate. All vendors are now not selling at the two markets. They are only available on the streets. Everything else needs to paid by credit card. Excursions were good value and fun.Beach here is second to none. Lots of room at the beach and pool, no need to reserve chairs. We will be back again.

Melia Cayo Coco: Awesome Vacation! Will definitely return!

This resort is very well maintained. Very clean with easy access to everything. Anywhere you want to go is within 2-3 min walk. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The entertainment staff was always cheerful and involved everyone in their activities. Chino/Pedro is funny and makes everyone feel welcome and his enthusiasm is contagious. The restaurant staff are also very pleasant (Arisleidy and Yamilet?) do everything they can to make your meal an amazing experience. The snack bar had wonderful food (burgers and pork cutlets) and the staff were hard working and always happy to see you. The beach was beautiful and the water was amazing. We also found a little bay to go snorkeling at. No need to go on a snorkeling excursion. Marcos and Jesus from the beach bar always had a smile on their faces and kept the drinks flowing. The Lagoon view rooms were clean and sanitized. We had an issue with the A/C which was rectified within the hour. The sunset views from our balcony were stunning! We could admire the sea life daily....watched and fed the fish and we could see little jelly fish (in the lagoon). The grounds keepers greeted you with a smile and kept the gardens looking beautiful. We also really appreciated the fact that there was no need to buy internet minutes. We had access everywhere, including the beach. Just see the Reception and they would provide internet access for free. Overall this resort has it all! It was a peaceful and relaxing vacation. This is not the place to go if you are looking for a party or nightlife but the tranquility is what we wanted for our vacation. Can't wait to go back!!!

Hotel Blau Las Morlas Varadero Beach: Wonderful Hotel

This hotel is the perfect size for my wife and I, It consists of 143 rooms and 4 floors. The rooms and hotel areas are kept very clean and orderly. The assistant manager, Isabelita, is an amazing person. She is so friendly and always concerned about her guests and tending to their needs. She is always smiling and sets a great example for her hotel staff, which are also very friendly and helpful. The food is Cuban and Italian with a good plentiful variety and very delicious. The animation staff can be found at the beach and the pool and are the friendliest people who are always up for fun. From the staff to the bar tenders to the maids, Isabelita has done a terrific job in making sure they are the best. Thank you to all at Los Morlas for an amazing vacation.

Gran Muthu Imperial: Nice 3 star hotel

Friendly workers and nice water obviously. The food was horrendous unfortunately. Cocktails were ok. The beach is rather small and considering that the resort was NOT in full capacity you will never find seats unless you claim them at 6am. 70% of the guests were seniors and they claimed their seats in the morning even if they were never at the beach. Since Cayo coco is so secluded and off the main lane, there’s not much to do outside of the resort. Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Looks Nice but ...

No toilet paper in the public restrooms, luckily our room was right by the pool so we could run up there to use the facilities. Sometimes had to steal toilet paper off the cart and put in our room as well they did not always replace even when we were down to the last part of the roll. No vodka on the resort, food was not great, main pool was green most of the week, we stayed in the adult section so we were ok, our pool was clear but did need to be cleaned. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Paradisus Rio de Oro April 6th to April 13th 2022.

This is a beautiful clean resort. The layout and size is what we really liked. Vegetation is plentiful and beautiful. Like always, the Cuban people are so warm hearted & friendly people. They follow Covid-19 protocol to the T. (Staff always wear their masks etc..) This resort deserves the rating of a 5 star............. Diane & Paul Montpellier

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Disappointed

This resort needs to be renovated badly. Furniture and cushions in lobby area are very old and in desperate need of new upholstery. Rooms are dated. Bathtubs are very high and difficult to enter into. Very difficult for the elderly. No water pressure in the shower and somedays no water at all. Bathroom towels were old and gray. Food was always the same. No variety in food. At the snack bar always ran out of food after standing in line and then being told they ran out of food. The only things positive about this resort is that the grounds were nice and the beach was amazing. I would not recommend this resort to any of my friends and would rate it as a 2 star.
