Paradise Playa Dorada: A mostly relaxing vacation

Hotel is only approximately 20 minutes from the airport . The grounds are kept perfectly pool also kept clean. Staff are very friendly. Food was average could always find something to eat but a small selection,always had pasta and soup as a stand by. The animation team are just ok dont go out of their way to engage guests My only complaint would be the lack of hot water most days one day was non existent, would also be convenient to have a coffee maker in room . Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Majestic Mirage is our home away from home!

This was our second stay at Majestic Mirage, having stayed the same week last year, and we were even more impressed this time! Jacobs met us on the front steps of the resort and made check in a breeze. We were in our room and on the beach literally a half hour after stepping off the bus. Jacobs made himself available to us at all times so that we could take full advantage of our week in the sun without having to worry about the details. Our absolute favourite spots on the property: 1) the sports bar, where we were able to enjoy Sunday football, billiards, great music, and pub-style eats in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere; 2) the coffee shop in the main square, where we opted for a specialty coffee each night in lieu of dessert (the best Spanish coffees ever!); 3) the beach buffet, which had a bit of everything, and then some - very easy to eat healthy this week with the choice of delicious salads at lunch, and wonderful steak and seafood at this restaurant for 3 of our nights; 4) THE BEACH!!!, stunning and always well-maintained; 5) the martini bar, just outside the Italian restaurant - so delicious and a really nice touch; 6) the Japanese restaurant is a must-do - entertaining and tasty; 7) the Mirage Club swim-up bar was a nice, shady place to spend happy hour and get chatting with other guests. 8) The Dominican Night - wow, we were so impressed with the food, dance, costumes, and music...and enjoyed the Mama Juana very much! We would highly recommend Punta Cana, Majestic Mirage, and our butler, Jose Jacobs, who we can't say enough good things about. Please go to this resort and see for yourself!

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Sunscape Puerto Plata

We've just returned from 2 weeks here. It's a pretty resort with a small beach. No problems finding chairs or shade. The menu was repetitious but always good. I was impressed with its cleanliness and wonderful staff who were willing to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The pools were always clean and inviting. We would return in the future.

Riu Republica: Amazing resort

This hotel was very very very nice. From the welcoming to the service of the friendly and amazing staff I can say I will be back. The restaurants and buffet were very catering to the needs of the clients. Food also stocked, freshed and well seasoned. Im glad i made the choice to come to this country and stay at this Riu.

Beautiful resort, everything was always super clean. Well air conditioned. Nothing ever sat on tables too long at restaurants they were very quick to clear plates off for the next guest to sit down!!!

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Perfect Vacation

We returned from a vacation in Grand Bahia La Romana and we can say only good about it even resort is older, but well-kept grounds clean rooms with daily stock. The beachfront has a lot of cabanas and is also kept clean. The A la carte restaurants very good food with a nice presentation. The buffet restaurant has a good selection and you can find food for your likings. Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Phenomenal

CHIC was an absolutely wonderful resort. On top of the fun we had, we were very well thought of often and taken care of with pride and courtesy. The staff, all of them, were incredible and made us feel at home and went above and beyond to help us celebrate our engagement. The crew were absolutely fantastic and ensured everyone’s safety both in the water and on the catamaran. The monkey excursion was so fabulous and worth every memory. Mimi and Pina were just WOW!!!!! They were so hilarious we couldn’t stop laughing. The horseback riding was a great time too! Joel, our guide was fantastic and a lot of fun. I cannot remember our other guides name but he too was great and had us laughing with his andele andele catch phrase. Absolutely a fantastic trip. We will definitely be back.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: They tried

We (3 couples) stayed at the Level section of the Melia Punta Cana and probably won’t return (only because we stayed at a 2 diamond resort last year) . The resort was ok considering it’s over 21 years old. We had the butler service and 2 out of the 3 butlers were no shows all the time. I’m pleased to say that the 1 butler stepped up and took over. The food was fine with the exception of the Italian which was 5 star!!!

Best resort I have ever stayed at. Right from greeting at the front door to the amazing rooms pools food beach and service I have never been more amazed at such a great resort. The atmosphere and the service and the people were amazing.

The resort is one of the best we have every stayed The food out of this world, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The rooms excellent.Would we go back definitely One negative it is not easy to get in and out of shower no handrails

Concierge - our concierge was Heney and he was amazing. He was always there to help in whatever we needed. And provided is with any information about the Dominican we required. Spa - I am so glad we had a massage. It was absolutely relaxing and gave us access to the jacuzzi, saunas (dry and wet), bubble bath and much more. Such a relaxing environment. They offered swimming classes for kids. Overall Highly recommend this resort particularly if you have children

Excellence El Carmen: Great resort

Great resort with large comfortable rooms. Pools and beach were excellent. Food was good and we had a gluten free person and everybody was quite accommodating. Gym was very well equipped and super clean.

Riu Palace Macao: Terrific resort

Very clean inside, well maintained grounds outside, pools and beach area. Dining service can be improved. Servers should be thought that their first and foremost job is to serve the guests. Tips would come as a bonus not as an expectation first. Same as house cleaning. I generously tipped everyone, especially housekeeping because they work very hard. Our stay at Riu republica was nothing short of amazing. It far exceeded out expectations. Food was amazing, the beach was clean, could always find a chair. So many pools, it was clean! The service was fabulous, we didn’t wait for any meal service and never more than a few minutes for drinks. Sunscape Puerto Plata: Not the one expected according to the reviews!

Pros: 1-Service in the buffet was generally good, very good memories for the service and the food in the restaurants in the second floor both sides before going to Coco Caffee. 2-Grounds were well maintained. 3-Quiet resort during the week days, it was a low season. 4-Rooms were clean and spacious. 5-Fair distance form the rooms to the beach. Cons: 1-Beach not as expected, water not crystal clear and a bad smell through out the beach. 2-Uncovered sewing stream crossing the resort, [... read more] very close to the beach, one restaurant and the buildings. Not acceptable for a touristic resort. 3-Anoying and load vendors all day long in the beach, smth. should be done to stop them. 4-Air conditioning service was interrupted during the day, even when the temperatures were over 30C. 5-Lack of food in the buffet, we haven't tried fish almost at all, even though sea was so close. 6-Noisy vendors that came inside the resort during the weekend.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Fantastic Resort!!!

This hotel was awesome. We thank you so much for the free upgrade to the Colonial section. Would definitely recommend this option for the butler service (David was amazing, took care of all our requests quickly and made us feel like we were getting special treatment) and the private lounge, pool and beach section - they were a super added bonus. Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Amazing resort

First of all we would like to thank Trip Central Trivia where Carol Field (my wife) won this trip from and also Rachel Guindon who handled all of the paperwork for us flawlessly from the day we won it in February. I had notified Be Live hotels that we would be celebrating our anniversary while there and on arrival we were welcomed with a fruit basket in our room and the workers at the front desk had been notified about it as well because they congratulated us. The pool areas were great but be careful walking in on the gradual slope when entering because it could tend to be slippery. Overall our holiday was great and would go back in a heartbeat. Not once during our stay did we run out of hot water or did our air conditioning fail as is quite normal in these areas. We also had one free consecutive hour for each device and this was more than adequate. As far as recommending this resort I would also do it anytime. We were there during a slow time and the buffet would be moved to different areas to accommodate how many guests were being served. The food was amazing and you never went away hungry from any restaurant.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Amazing RESORT

As soon as we got to the hotel, we were greeted with a alcohol beverage and a cold towel. The hotel was very clean. The hotel is massive. We stayed in the family area and it was awesome. Our butler Eli was very helpful. We were there to celebrate my wife's birthday and Eli surprised us with balloons and cake in our room. The restaurant's were very delicious especially the steak house! We are there 3 times.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Wonderful Resort!

The grounds were beautiful, atmosphere was enjoyable, enjoyed the restaurants, the beach beds, staff were friendly,,Sunwing rep was great, everything was in walking distance, no reservations for the restaurants,

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great resort

We found the resort very good the food was geat the service also. The only thing the bed rooms need refreshing for a 4.5 star place . The catch is upgrade to a better room at 50. dollars US a day which I don tthink is the way to get your clients. I stayed at other resorts in Puerto Plata and the rooms were much better. We lost two days at the beginning with the harrassement of agents after us to join the prestige club which I find is just to much. So be careful of that when getting there.
