Tryp Cayo Coco: Nice Location But In Need Of TLC

Overall I think the place is OK. But the rooms are a bit run down and in need of a facelift. The beach is excellent and the food quality and choice are above average for Cuba. Most of the evening shows are well done. Annoying shortages at the bars at times like no beer or no mint for mojitos.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Will definitely be going back!

First things first we have to talk about the beach! Heaven on earth!!!! The food was good and the people were fantastic. The rooms are nice and big and alway clean. We loved out stay and will book again

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: A wonderful week of relaxation

The hotel is quite new so all the rooms are magnificent and very well kept. We can't rave enough about the food: top quality, variety and so tasty. The staff were alert and cheerful. The hotel manager did everything to make sure guests are happy. The grounds are beautiful, with security guards at the beach. The beach is a dream come true: white sand, turquoise water. The entertainment was not our main draw.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Amazing beach, nice resort, poor food

This was my 3rd time at this hotel. The beach at Tryp Cayo Coco is BEAUTIFUL and this is why I love it so much. The hotel itself is nice... our first room wasn't great but we asked to switch and the 2nd room was lovely. Food was pretty bad, but edible. But I don't go to Cuba for the food... and to me that wasn't a big deal!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: great place to relax

great resort,its new and they are building two more stages.close to the airport.the resort is run by a gentleman from spain.its clean.the food was great and lots of it.the staff where all great and helpful .the grounds where well kept.the beach is good just some areas with coral.big clean rooms with flat screen tvs.two pools joined by waterfalls with swim up bar.great place to relax.i would go back again.

Hotel Vigia: great resort

Small resort, very well maintained. Stayed in a room with an ocean view. The food was good....amazing donuts made fresh each evening. The beach really nice with lots of kite boards. The pool clean with lots of chairs.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Not a bad resort...but nor was it a great resort

Gardens were great...food...well it is Cuba..beach area somewhat disappointing.Beautiful beach Lack of beds, lack of space considering the size of the hotel. So many people had their towels on the beds by 6am. ridiculous . Should not be faced with having to get up so early to secure a bed. Then of course the wonderful people who do it go off for the day and return late afternoon. There has to be some kind of agreement that if no one turns up within an hour after say 10am the bed is free to use.  [... read more]Found most of the staff accommodating but others not so. Maid did a nice job keeping our room clean. Did not like the check in at all. Very rude. Here's your room and its ready. Get to the room to find a gross stained roll-away outside the room. (I would not have put my worst enemy on it) NOT Ready at all..A supervisor said 10 mins...we waited over an hour. This of course was not appreciated. we had sent many emails with our requests and was assured that everything possible would be done to fulfill them. Nothing was done. We requested another room. Had to wait till the next day at 11 told to come back at 3...back and forth ..what a waste of my hard earned and well deserved vacation. From my 14 years experience of Cayo Coco and Cuba this was definitely disappointing. The very best thing that happened was the great friends we made. We had a fantastic time at Lennys'. Celebrated birthdays for two of them.

Hotel Camino del Mar: great resort

The food was really good,no problems finding something we liked. The beaches were really nice. Seagrass out a ways but provided for interesting snorkelling. The staff were great and the rooms well maintained. We will return to this resort.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: beautiful resort

My boyfriend and I went to this resort together and thought it was beautiful. Very modern and classy looking (fabulous for a wedding or honeymoon). Everything is in close walking distance and the ride from the airport was short. The only thing we were a little bit disappointed about was that it didn't have a disco and the night life wasn't as big there unless go pay to go off resort. Tryp Cayo Coco: glad we came back

We were here last year around the same time. There have been some improvements with food variety. As returned customers we were treated very well and look fwd to hopefully coming back a 3rd time. Ocean view rooms are worth it. A la cartes were delicious!

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Beautiful, relaxing resort!

Impecable staff at Pestana. The resort is immaculate and the food is good. One area for improvement is to cook the bacon! It would seem that they take from the package and put it directly on the buffet. If you take some to the grills they will cook it for you. The pool is always sparkling clean and the beach is pretty good. If you enjoy walking on the beach you will love the long walk along the undeveloped shoreline out to the point. If you are going to Cuba to relax this is the resort for you as it is a long way from any Cuban village or city. It is only 15 minutes from the airport but we virtually never heard a jet the entire week were there. You will not be disappointed with Pestana.

Melia Cayo Coco: Travelling on my own...

I'm 26 and I travelled on my own here for a week at the end of April. Great resort, rooms are worn down if you don't boom a suite. The good was very good (I've been to Cuba 10+ times and this was definitely the best). Entertainment staff I didn't pay much attention too but the shows were well done. There a BEAUTIFUL lagoon beach about a ten minute walk to the LEFT (if facing the beach) and over the big coral. Not part of the hotel but the water and the sand is well worth the walk.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Amaisig beach, hotel, gardens, dining.

Very very nice stayng in this hotel. Love Cuba. This hotel is one of the best . It was perfect, we were also at the famius pilar beach, ad this hotel is close to this ! I would like to be back in this hotel .

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Nice Resort

Rooms were excellent. We had a ocean view junior suite. Clean, well supplied with bottled water, pop and towels.. Staff were not overly friendly as we have had in other Cuba resorts. Catamaran excursion was disappointing, unfriendly staff. Food was above average for Cuba. Shows were great. Pool area and grounds were very good. Beach was nice except coral but once you got into the ocean was nice.

Melia Cayo Coco: Melia Cayo Coco - Nice Resort

We stayed at the Melia Cayo Coco in early 2014, and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. We were told this was a 5 star resort (for Cuba standards) but we will give this a 4. The food and service as usual was top notch, with friendly people providing awesome service. The resort itself is starting to show its age and needs some tender loving care. We spent most of our time at the pool as getting space on the beach was hard unless you got up very early and tipped heavily. As well, one of the days we made i [... read more]t on the beach we were flooded out due to the high surf and high tides (it is really narrow). This was supposed to be adults only, but the beach is shared with the other Melia chain resorts so take your chances. The room on the Lagoon was nice, but we missed having a tub in the washroom. We did have some minor deficiencies with the room but a quick call to the front desk and it was rectified within a reasonable amount of time. The night shows were excellent, one of the best we have encountered during our trips down south. We would recommend this resort to our friends as the service was excellent, just need to update the resort public areas

I loved this resort! I can't say enough about the staff, they were amazing. The food was really good, the hotel was great, tons of stuff for the kids, I will be returning to this resort in december and I can't wait!

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Best bang for the buck

We stayed March 26-29 2014. Weather was amazing! Food was mediocre at best...but you don't go to eat, you go for the beach, which was incredible. NO beach vendors, no timeshare pushers etc. The pool with the swim up bar was painted in water based paint though, so, the paint would come off on our skin...but it washed off no problem. The fact that the pools are salt water is nice, easier on the skin, hair and swimsuits. The staff was pleasant, the room was a bit damp, but clean, bright , large...e [... read more]ven spacious....and a few pesos will get you a huge bottle of water and extra towels and pillows. The resort is large , so if you want to see it all, prepare to walk. They also have cappuccinos at 2 or more of the bars. The nightly entertainment was weak, not like mexico or Jamaica...but the atmosphere of the entire place was more calm and quiet, so it was a very relaxing vacation.

Tryp Cayo Coco: a good snorkeling reef right in front of the hotel

The rooms are dated. You have to fight and tip to get a reservation at the specialties restaurants, but if you can get past those things it is a nice place. The beach is beautiful, the pools and grounds are maintained and clean and oh! The Havana Club (ask for the dark)! Sometimes you can get diet cola and sometimes not, however you can get 2 cans delivered to your mini fridge daily and in their shop you can get a 2 litre for around $2.00.

Good value. Not a 5 star but certainly had everything my family needed for a great vacation. Staff are excellent. Beach is very beautiful. Daily entertainment. Kids love the ice cream parlour. Best food is at the beer garden.

i found the people very friendly the beach was very nice, the pool it was clean, the rooms where not nice for a four star hotel could improve the furniture and the cleaness. and the food was not very good
