Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing Resort!!

I have visited Cuba six times and the Melia was by far the nicest resort I visited in Cuba. Everything about the resort was amazing. The food, beach, entertainment, high quality drinks, staff, the room. Staff payed attention to every detail. I plan on returning to the Melia again this fall.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Absolutely amazing

We loved this resort, there is alot of walking but that is something that we love to do. the weather was amazing the whole week. The food was so so have had better at other resorts but can't complain. Staff were friendly and eager to assist you. Would go back anytime.

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Very impressive resort

The resort had everything desired for a relaxing vacation- excellent entertainment and food, beautiful beach and pools, market and spa within walking distance, quality accommodations and friendly, helpful staff.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Wonderful Resort

The staff and the food was incredible. Many return vistors to this hotel some have returned 13 times. The rooms could be renovated the cottages and the beach location were excellent. We enjoyed the Cuban restaurant. On the entertainment side we enjoyed the classical music and the Aquatic pool. I would definitely return to this resort.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: One of the best!!!

This is one of the best resort we have been at and was definitely worth the extra compared to other resort in Cuba and the food was really good. Everyone went the extra mile to provide excellent service. First resort that I see plenty of chairs, so not need to rush to the beach to save a spot. We had a late evening flight, so the concierge even arranged for an a la carte diner before we left. Truly a worry free vacation!! Melia Peninsula Varadero: IT WAS A WONDERFUL RESORT.

THE ROOMS WERE CLEAN AND THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY. THE POOL WAS GREAT AND IT WAS JUST A SHORT WALK TO A NICE CLEAN BEACH. LOT OF FOODS TO PICK FROM AND VERY ATTENTIVE STAFF. ALSO IT WAS NOT TO FAR TO GO INTO THE CITY.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Great Resort !

Great resort staff were very friendly , grounds were beautiful and well kept Food was great , no issues at all lots to choice from I would definety go back Time of our stay was mid February 2014 .Would definetly recommend :-) Also very close to the up scale mall !

Melia Las Dunas: Great vacation

Accommodations were excellent, staff were wonderful and the beaches were breath taking. Food was not the greatest but there was a large variety so you never were hungry. Nightly shows were entertaining.

Melia Cayo Coco: What a beautiful resort!

Went to Melia CayoCoco for our second time in feb 2014. We just love this place. Beach is very nice. Water was perfect, warm. The staff are awesome, allways ready to take care of your needs. The food is very good. I'm a very fussy eater and i stuffed my self every day. We are booking again for feb 2015 and friends of ours are coming this time. They heard so much great things of the resort from us. Looking foward to our trip.

Melia Las Dunas: We love the Melia resorts...visited MLD twice!!

Lobby and public areas are well kept. The lobby bar is great entertainment in the evenings. Great place to have fancy coffee drinks. Friendly bartenders and wait staff. Rooms are average and very clean. Beach is beautiful and goes on and on for long walks. You can book 3 a la carte restaurants per 7 day stay. Restaurants were fantastic and the buffet was great. Staff get to know you as a regular. There's an adult side and a family side. Not always guaranteed to get a room on the adult side. Melia Cayo Coco: Wonderful Resort

Our first visit to the resort was with family to celebrate my husband's birthday. Since then, we have returned 4 more times with friends, and just the two of us. There is a special magic about this hotel that makes us feel at home. The service and food are excellent. We particularly enjoy the beach grill with its wonderful choices of fresh fish and meat, and the sound of live Cuban music. It is everywhere and it makes us feel like dancing!

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Beautiful Resort

Clean, well maintained, nice pool & great beach. Disappointed with the food - Most of the food at buffet wasn't marked as to what it was. Service in one a la carte was NOT acceptable (2 hours). Staff was very helpful & friendly. Entertainment was good.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Amazing!!!

Excellent service, food, drink. Really friendly staff!! Beautiful beach, Very peaceful, great entertainment. Went in a group of 13 everyone will be returning next year. Usual "Cuban glitches" but Hey! get over them and enjoy!!

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Wonderful Experience!

The hotel was very clean and had very nice scenery. While upon arrival I was not happy since I was told my room would be ready and it was not. They also put me in a different building and I had to make it known that I wanted to be near my family so they would change it. The rooms were decently clean, a little old but had charm. Balconies were decent and if you ask for an ocean view there were always those rooms available. The staff were very nice, and welcoming. The beach was beautiful, very sha [... read more]llow (good for snorkelling) not great for swimming. Pools were kind of deep so it was hard to play any pool games but the pool bar was awesome!

Melia Las Dunas: great room amazing beach choice of good food

this was our 4th time in Cuba different place each time but this was by far the best food we have ever experienced in this amazing country, in fact better than many other countries we have been to. We would definitely return any time.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Would not recommend

We were always the kind of people to say "It is what you make it", to other people's bad reviews. But this resort is a 2+ at best. Extremely outdated resort. Missing umbrellas around the pools, broken loungers not taken away. We were kicked out of the quiet pool by 5pm everyday. The worker would say 'pool closed' and lay all the chairs down (loudly). Even on the beach, they would start coming around at 4pm putting all the loungers away around you! No palapas, everyone was crowded under a non-tha [... read more]tched structure made from young trees, each section fit 4 people, but they were all connected. We had won the trip and we upgraded our room to superior oceanview, the only thing good about it was the oceanview. A cabin in the woods had better maintenance than that. We like to unpack and put our clothes in dresser drawers....there was only a credenza with a chair holding the door shut. Towels were stained, sheets were stained and ripped. Our sheets didn't get changed. We thought they were, but the bottom sheet was only flipped over, we knew this by the rips and stains. The last night we were there, the bottom sheet was finally taken, but not replaced, the top sheet was put in its place leaving us with no top sheet, only the bedspread. The light shades in the room were broken and had burn marks on them. The couple next to us smoked in their room and the wooden divider door between our rooms allowed the smoke to come in whenever we opened our patio doors. The food wasn't always labeled correctly, there were birds flying around the buffet and taking food from the buffet! If you didn't tip well you didn't get the service. Even the pasta area in the buffet wanted tips. There were a few who weren't like that though, but we didn't encounter her until the last night. Mulitple guests we spoke to would not come back. Two ladies with regular rooms, were on their 3rd change of rooms in less than a day. We saw a person covered in bedbug bites and another lady was in misery from a rash all over her body. We always spray our bed with bug spray to be on the safe side. No toilet paper or paper towel to dry your hands in the public washrooms. And I can't believe I'm saying this....but one women bartender made the drinks soo strong, you couldn't drink them (we heard others comment on this also) It's not the worker's fault, they are only being told what to do or not being shown or trained properly in the way to do things. Not a good experience all around.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Always what the doctor ordered!

This is my second trip to Paradisus Rio De Oro. It was so magical the first time - tranquil, relaxing and soothing to the soul. So when in need of the same feeling, we decided to go back to the source - and yet again - tranquil, relaxing and soothing to the soul. We were well taken care of, the staff is very friendly, the restaurants offer great variety and for Cuba the meals are great. Didn't have the greatest experience in the spa - had a mud wrap - wasn't worth it. But have heard from others that went repeatedly, and the private beach and pools at the spa are lovely.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: A good time!!

I came to this resort in March 2014, and didn't do all-inclusive. There are two Starbucks on site, as well as a deli where you can get breakfast and lunch. I am glad I decided not to do all inclusive since it gave me the chance to explore the island and try local restaurants. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. I would definitely come back!

Melia Marina Varadero: Oceanview, clean and good service

Rooms facing the waterfront, beautiful view and friendly staffs. The hotel is chic and modern, designed with a nautical feel. It feels new and stylish and you would be hard pressed to find another hotel comparable to this one in scale and design in Cuba. The terrace just past the lobby has wicker furniture where you can enjoy a drink, and a balcony for breakfast or lunch offers a nice view of the marina. The other side offers views of the pool and ocean. Indeed a great place to spend vacations.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Enjoyable resort.

This was our 2nd time to this resort--though the 1st time was about 10 years ago. It is a smaller resort with well kept grounds, beach and pool area--a pretty place. We always found a spot either at the pool or the beach. You can walk around the resort and not have to take a shuttle! The rooms are a little older but clean & well kept. Their salads don't appeal to me but there was always steamed vegetables available and that was good enough. We really like their lobby bar--it has everything you want. You can get fancier drinks, and higher end liquers or brandies and it is all included. Nice spot to go either before or after dinner. The other thing that appealed to us is this hotel is not really far from the airport--about a 30 minute drive.
