Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: 5 stars hands down!

It was my boyfriends first vacation. It was probably the best all inclusive trip I’ve ever been too and I’ve stayed at many resorts. I’ve stayed at the Bahia Principe in Runaway Bay, Jamaica and it was not as good as the Esmeralda in Punta Cana.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Amazing Resort:

I booked the Barceló Bavaro Palace on the Tripcentral.ca site. We were very pleased, and were very surprized at all the renovations. We had booked all inclusive. We had been there about 7 yrs. prior. The changes were very beautiful. The rooms were very nice. The junior suite was very comfortable. Had 2 queen beds and a sort of a day bed. Nice layout and great hot tub. The staff was very friendly and kind. Restaurants very good. They had 2 buffet places to eat . They had anything you could thin [... read more]k of. It was excellent. Had a great vacation. Also had a lot of activities. Also about 3 to 4 pools and whirpool. The Beach was so beautiful and the sand was white sand just like sugar. Will return for sure.

Excellence Punta Cana: Wonderful Resort

Our group of four enjoyed every moment of our vacation on this beautiful resort. We enjoyed relaxing and quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, great food and drinks in all restaurants and long walks on a wide sandy beach. During our stay the wind was rather persistent so we avoided swimming in the ocean.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Best vacation ever

We came here for our honeymoon and had the best vacation experience ever. As a vegetarian I was surprised to find so many delicious options (including wood burning oven pizza and Lebanese food). The environment is awesome - a good mix between party and relaxing. If you care about premium liquor, you can do rock royalty as the pool has top shelf. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is so friendly, and we are in major vacation withdrawal. I have no complaints and recommend ten times over. Only th [... read more]ing that was a negative was the timeshare presentation that they try to frame as not being a timeshare - do the math, you can get the same prices by booking a vacation package on your own. You do get the taxes reduced on your excursions if you attend so maybe have a drink in hand and have some fun with it.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Wonderful Trip!

We recently stayed at Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda and had a wonderful time!!! The grounds were gorgeous and very well kept. The staff was wonderful and honestly made our vacation. The room was perfect and it was located away from the main pool which was good because the entertainment was in the same area and would have been quite loud. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Disappointing

Most food was tasteless and bland. A la cartes were disappointing and most servers had very very limited understanding of English which resulted in wrong orders, especially Don Pablo. Alcohol was low grade and several times ran out of vodka and baileys and Clamato juice. Room was run down - broken drawers in dresser, shower door would not close, no facecloths most of the time, irradic supplies in fridge, water and coffee. Cleaning was never done on deck. No communication regarding entertain [... read more]ment schedule. Climate was beautiful and grounds were well kept and beautiful due to the very hard work of the ground keepers. We have travelled extensively and by far this is the least satisfactory resort we have stayed at.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: So So

Staff:front desk and restaurant staff was nice. However,staff at the coffee shop were more busy talking to each other then serving the customers. Same goes for one of the staff at the boutique where she was busy clipping her nails when there are customers in the store. Rooms: bed was very uncomfortable; could feel the springs. Room would get half done by the cleaning staff whether you leave a tip or not. Beach towels: after 9:30am, no towels left. You would have to wait 30-40 minutes. Restaurants: our favorite was SunnySide Grill; although the ribs's sauce was not very good (a lot of nutmeg in it). In general the food was not all that great. I got sick the day before we left. Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Amazing resort !!

Stayed here from January 31 to February 10,2018 and it was amazing. Restaurants were amazing. The steakhouse was the best for us. The staff, the entertainers always have a smile on there faces. Very friendly. Rooms are huge and very clean. Would recommend this resort no problem. Will be returning for sure.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: amazing

It is a very comfortable hotel for the family. It is a very clean resort and there is a lot of activities that one can participate. The quality of food is also amazing. The pools are clean and well maintained all the time. There is high security all over the hotel.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Amazing !!!

Wow !! Amazing trip. The hotel and staff were awesome and the entertainement was great. Always something to do. Food was great. Nice beach and pools. The resort overall is extremely clean. The only negative is the rooms are extremely echo, not insulated therefore we could here babies cry, people talking outside or coming up the stairs. Besides that I would recommend this hotel !!!

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: Good time but not great...

The facility was good but not worth the extra cost. Very good service the first few days, but then we were lost in the crowds. Thank goodness we did not opt for the royal service. Felt it was royal service the first few days, then the crowds, the construction... Royal service people were overwhelmed with jack hammers next to the secluded pool? Music was so loud to cover up the noise. Very much felt that our service dropped off when we did not display interest in time shares or other purchases [... read more]. Food was good but some evenings were disappointing. When we attempted to escape the noise of the poolside, the lovely beach area was inundated with vendors who kept circling around. Hotel staff did nothing to prevent this. Seaweed was left daily to pile on the beach... Bavaro Beach is not what it once was.... as is the case of many tropical paradises... It was a very restful time in the room, quiet and pleasant. The supposed HD tv was nothing more than a very old projection that most days would not work. I think were done with the DR... Room safe did not work at first but hotel very quickly repaired. Felt our room was secure and the grounds very lovely. The view when you first arrive, in the daytime, is very beautiful as the lobby contrasted to the nearby ocean. Shared the first day that our shower drain did not flow well, was never dealt with. It was a pleasant and nice stay, but not worth the added expense.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Great Family Resort

What a great Family Resort. Rooms were amazing kids had bunk beds, food was great. Kids club was amazing!!! 3 play structures in backyard. Staff was amazing kids buffet in kids club. Kids could eat anytime. Great activities in the kids club. Bouncy Castles on the beach. What a great place definitely will be visiting it again!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Absolutely Fabulous, Best Resort we have stayed in the Dominican Republic.

The grounds were superbly maintained, tended for on a regular basis by crews of groundskeepers. The rooms we had were amazing. Clean when we arrived and each day, cleaned by the staff meticulously. The dining areas were well staffed by conscientious staff, who couldn't do enough to ensure our needs were met. The public areas were clean at all times. Can't say enough good things about the staff we met, they all had smiles and greeted us each time we saw them. Excellence Punta Cana: Great vacation!

We have been to Punta Cana 5 times and enjoyed this hotel the best. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice quiet and relaxed vacation. Room was comfortable (except for a spider!) , food very good. Resort is spaced out so it does not ever seem crowded. Dining rooms very nice. Rode on the beach every day with Fausto - great horses and fun in the surf. Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: Five Star??

For a five Star resort it was very disappointing,the chairs at the beach were so uncomfortable, cheap and old. Most of them were broken, something you find at a 2-3 Star resorts. No bar service on the beach, we're not alcohol drinkers but sometimes we like to have a latte or a water.The food at the buffet for most part was so so, the fruit was very scarce,basic fruits such as bananas only saw it once in the week we were there. Anyways we just wanted a comfortable chair on the beach and bar service, so we decided to upgrade to the "Royal Service" package which is now going to cost $90us per day for both of us, but as we proceeded to purchase this "Royal Service"package, Ana said to us sorry there is a big group coming in and that service is all sold out, you'll have to buy the other package "The Reserve" package for $120 per day. I feel she was only trying to sell us the more expensive package and was not interested in helping us at all. After we left we went to check out the Reserve side which was full of kids.. We wanted to be on the adult side which was the Royal Service side.We decided to go back to the front desk at the end of the day when Ana wasn't there to ask another guest service staff member to purchase this package which appenrately was "sold out" funny that when we asked him to purchase the package it was no longer sold out. After all of that commotion we finally purchased the "Royal Service" package and went and enjoyed our 5 star comfortable $90 per day chairs at the beach. Included in this package was 2 extra restaurants that were available to royal guests only. One was called the Palazzo. This was suppose to be an exclusive restaurant. We went there for dinner only to discover a cockroach crawling on the floor. My husband pointed this out to a waiter who stepped on the roach but left it there. In conclusion we will not be returning to this resort.. We have been to many 5 star resorts in Punta Cana and this is in no way a 5 star resort.

Excellence Punta Cana: Surpassed all expectations

From the moment I logged onto TripCentral, everything was easy and practical. We had all the information we needed emailed to us, and because we printed the info and kept it in our carry-on, all the travel was quick, from home to resort and back, despite weather (snow) delays. WestJet gave us hotel vouchers for our cancelled flight, and Excellence Punta Cana made sure our stay was my most relaxing vacation ever. My sole curiously, not exactly a concern, is that for the majority of our stay ou [... read more]r name was highlighted on their list as "Inc. R" and we were told that it was due to a "problem" in one of the restaurant s, yet no one would tell us what that problem was. I would have liked to understand more. Other than that, we never wanted for anything, because there was always someone happy to help, whether it was a drink, changing funds, making a phone call, anything and everything. Always a lounging chair available and very clean. It is a quieter resort than most that I've seen, but that was exactly what we wanted. The crowd is very mature and relaxed. And the food.... Wow, the food was my favourite part! I would be very happy to repeat this experience.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Nice resort

After a long day and being put in two different unacceptable rooms and a long discussion with the reservation supervisor, whose goal was to sell us an upgrade, we finally were given a really nice room. The resort was lovely although staff did not speak English very well. Restaurants were good although there had been a fire and several were closed. Two of the restaurants were not included and were not worth the extra cost.

Riu Republica: Awesome Resort

Stayed at this hotel from Feb 2 to Feb 9, 2018. A beautiful resort but was a little too big for me. It was quite a walk to the beach because we stayed at the FUN pool which was located at back of the resort. The staff were amazing. The food was excellent. The rooms were very clean and modern, however I had to phone the front desk twice because when we went back to our room after 5 pm it was not yet done. They came within 10 mins and we just asked for clean towels. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Resort was formidable

First time To a big resort like this and let me tell you there is a lot to do and see The transportation within the resort is amazing never had to wait more then a few mins anywhere on the resort Food was great Room was great Beach / pool and bars where great the whole resort is absolutely clean as it gets Our room ac was bone cold and very quiet The mini bar replenished every day An amazing experience
