Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Everything at the hotel was great

Everything at the hotel was great. The staff was so helpful and there was always a lot of choice for food and it was at its best. The grounds where clean and so was our room. Pool area was wonderful and the beach was great

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Nice resort

Spent two weeks early March travelling with six adults. Staff were great. Rooms were average. Resort was bigger then we expected. The buffet and specialty restaurants were amazing except for the sea food which was very disappointing. The grounds and cleanliness of the resort was excellent. Although we were told the snorkelling was good and is the main reason we went, truth is snorkelling is poor with very little to see plus water is usually cloudy. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Nice resort, but it was better in past years

This is our 4th year at Bahia Coba. It's a bit far from Cancun (and a long ride after and before a flight), but food and kids' club are amazing. Entertainment is geared towards an older audience, but okay. Better activities for parents at sister-resort Tulum. Coba beach was moved slightly towards Tulum and is not great (small, rough sand and lots of seaweed this year), but you can spend time either at the beaches of Tulum or Akumal. Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great people.

The weather, food and the staff were great. Had a couple problems with our room. Reserved a ground floor, renovated room (because I have a disability) and they gave us a 2nd floor room. Changed to a lower level. Room was dirty and small. (b9 section) the outlets were unsafe. Could not charge my electronics. Changed rooms again the next day because there were 3 of us in a room, looking for bigger and closer due to disability. Got moved to B2 section. It's exactly the same room. Two small beds and [... read more] floors were dirty. Our room had ants in it. Especially the bathroom. Got a few bites in the beds. It was a bit gross! Other than than the size of the rooms and cleanliness, had a great time. The staff could learn a bit more English. It was difficult to communicate with the bartenders. Also the security could have been a bit more strict with college kids. Very loud and obnoxious all hours of the night. All in all. I still had fun and the food was great.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Fantastic!

I Can't mention everyone and everything that made my vacation absolutely wonderful because I'd have to name everyone at the resort. I will return when the new don Pablo building is finished. BTW the construction had absolutely no negative impact on my vacation

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Relaxing resort!

Coba was clean, friendly and easy to navigate around. Our room was spacious, clean and well stocked.The food was delicious and plentiful. A little disappointed that a couple a la cartes were closed.Sunrises were amazing! The beach was a let down due to all the washed up sea weed but we realize the resort was not at fault for this. The pools were clean and warm. We recommend this to anyone with children. Our 2 teenagers weren't interested in very many activities but enjoyed the family friendly at [... read more]mosphere. Although we felt very safe all throughout the resort our teenagers lost $20 each from their wallets. Their wallets were in their room in their luggage. So I would recommend using the safe in the room. Overall, we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, great food and beautiful sunshine.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Wonderful Holiday!

The resort was beautiful and very big. So big that my husband and I had trouble finding our way the first day or 2. The food was delicious and there was quite a variety. We also enjoyed the 4 a la cartes as well. While the room was lovely and very clean, it was very musty smelling. As a matter of fact, I had to wash our winter coats a few times and then hang them outside to get the smell out. The staff were friendly and very helpful at all times.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Lovely Resort

The El Portillo is a lovely resort. The professional pictures are accurate. The staff are wonderful to the guests, hard working and very friendly. The food at the buffet restaurant and the 4 a la carte restaurants is very good, above expectations. The beach is great, but not at all good for snorkeling. The only negative was there were not enough beach loungers for all the guests and unless you get up very early to reserve, you are out of luck.

Very well kept nice grounds and excellent place to stay. Great food friendly people very well kept beach and pool. Restaurants very good food.would recommend this resort to anybody that wants to have a relaxing vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: An amazing vacation!

The resort and staff were excellent, they made our vacation a dream come true.The food selection, drinks and service were topnotch, an example to other resorts to follow. I'll only travel to this chain of resorts in the future. Our special thanks go out too Hector, Menfis and Jose (beach bar). These staff members ensured we had the ultimate vacation!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Big and Beautiful

I do not think my husband and I have ever stayed at a cleaner, better cared for property...which is amazing given its size. Luckily we were at the Ambar 2. Dinners were a let down though and could be improved.

we loved our stay at the grand bahia principe coba, the grounds were beautiful well kept and well designed. the rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. there was a great selection of very good food and drinks

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful Island!

Island was beautiful. Loved it! Resort was a little weathered. Staff were very nice, unless you needed service. One beach was amazing, a few mins away though. Nightlife was very entertaining. Recreational activities were not at a minimum haha

This resort was beautiful. I knew that there would be racoons everywhere because I had seen others write about them and posting pictures on other reviews before I went. Staff was very friendly and worked very hard. My biggest issue was that front desk called me early morning and woke me up two days in a row to remind me to go get the travel voucher from Air Canada. I knew this had to be done but I could do it any day of my stay. The third day I went to the Air Canada desk to get this over with s [... read more]o they would stop calling and waking me up and the next day they called AGAIN!!! I like my sleep and now I had been woken up my first four days of my trip. I had to go see them again to tell them that my time to depart was already booked and I didn't know why they were still calling me. They were apologetic and said it was a mistake but that was still the worst part of my trip. I go on vacation to NOT set an alarm and sleep in. I only want to be called if I ask for a wake up call. Besides that, I have no complaints about the food or drinks. The pools were nice. The disco theque was out dated with their music and played the same music every night. I was sad to hear from an employee that they only got a hamburger a day to eat and could not have more options from the buffets so had to bring their own lunches to work. This gave me the impression that the Bahia Principe chain was cheep and didnt take care of their employees very well.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Treated Very Well - Love Mexico

Fourth Visit - The resort is big, keep very clean, and I would go back. Lots of families with children - didn't bother me. The food was fine, but they did have alot of their pre-book restaurants closed this time and the 24 hour bar also closed.......

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Disappointing Speciality Restaurants

The hotel was very nice--the rooms were spacious and very clean. Overall it was a lovely hotel. Staff were friendly and the grounds were well kept. The only drawback was the booking of the speciality restaurants. We were a group of 10 on our last family vacation with my mother who is 91. My mother can't participate in many activities--but she enjoys dinner with her family in the speciality restaurants. We were totally shocked to find when we went to book the restaurants on the first day of our s [... read more]tay that all of our choices were unavailable. We were never told that you could book your speciality on line three weeks in advance. Every year we travel to a different resort and this is the first time we have hear of this policy. When we booked this resort--we should have been informed of this policy. My mother was disappointed in the restaurants, and it spoiled the holiday for her.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: The best all inclusive i have been to

This is our go to resort. The staff are amazing and one of the managers is always there to answer your questions or hear of any problems you may have. Room requests are handled promptly with a follow up call to insure that your requests were taken care of. There is a trolley service hat you can use to get from one place to another as it is a large complex but we were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to be. the beach is beautiful and the entertainment staff try to keep you active or y [... read more]ou can just relax. You are allowed a certain number of gourmet restaurant's depending on your booking and I suggest don't this in advance and if you prefer the buffet is great. This is our go to place in Mexico

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great value for the cost!

This resort was a great value for the cost. We paid approximately $875 each after redeeming $400 worth of airmiles. The grounds and rooms were immaculate, a little outdated but super clean. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The food at the buffet was average. They did ensure to change up the buffet menu with something a little different everyday. The sushi was good but the meal didn't sit well with myself or my husband the next day. If I went back, I would book all three meals at the Mediterranean restaurant. This is a very lively fun resort. Lots of great entertainment by the pool staff. The beach was not very nice but we knew that when we booked it. The sand and water is dark but this is expected on the Atlantic side. We had a lot of fun at the Karaoke bar and Discotheque. Overall, great value for the price. If we were looking to book another cheap trip, we would definitely return.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Not a 5 star!

The most positive thing is the pool is nice and the grounds are beautiful The food is just ok, the staff at most of the A la carte restaurant staff acted like it was an inconvenience to serve you. The best restaurant was the Italian one. What really soured our opinion was that we had to almost beg for wash clothes and sometimes bath towels in our room. Ask the maid but the only way we could get them was ask at the Diamond club desk...not what you'd expect from a 5 star.

The Grounds was will cared for and beautiful, the pools was very clean, the rooms needed some updating, the foods was good. We couldn't stay at the disco for long periods of time because it had a very bad smell. Overall our getaway was very enjoyable. thanks
