Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Wonderful vacation. Awesome resort!

The beach and swimming here was amazing. Beautiful scenery and landscaping. The resort was one of my favourites and the food was really plentiful and delicious which really impressed our whole group of twelve. I would definitely return to this resort and recommend it to others.

Melia Marina Varadero: Amazing Resort with Outstanding Service!

Our family of nine, parents, children and grandchildren enjoyed our week long stay at the Melia Marina Varadero! The resort is beautiful with all the latest upgrades, situated on the water for spectacular views of the harbour. It is a 15 min. walk or short electric cart ride to the beach. The food was outstanding at the buffet and specialty restaurants...as was the service! The staff were always ready to help us or the children, with a smile. Even more shade options at the beach and pool would be helpful, especially for little ones. We all had a great time!!

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Awsome Resort!!

We stayed at the Melia Caribe in March of 2014 for seven days. We loved this resort and all it had to offer. The staff were very friendly and accommidating and quick to offer assitance when asked. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable with very good maid service and a well stocked fridge. We had a small issue with a faulty room key but it was fixed in minutes. Getting a [... read more]round the resort was no problem with six person golf carts coming and going all the time . The trains were fun but a longer ride to get where you were going, for us the beach. There is a restaurant on the beach which is perfect for never having to leave it, it really was an awsome beach! The food was the best we have had in the Dominican and the American steakhouse was our favourite. The shopping plaza was a 15min walk or a 2 minute cart ride but is expensive. There is a local grocery store not far away for snacks if you wish. Overall this was one of our favorite resorts and we would absolutly recommend this place!

Melia Las Dunas: OK vacation

Grounds were beautiful! Rooms were adequate -- served the purpose. bed was decent and AC worked which was a bonus. Beach was gorgeous!! A la carte restaurants were good as well -- buffet was to be expected did not really like that the pool bar was in the shade for the majority of the day -- not able to get much sun sitting at the bar. some of the bar tenders were rude, would not get you the drink you asked for -- also always had to wait long to even get served! they would look in you direction a [... read more]nd then walk away -- was definitely not impressed with this! honestly we would not go back to this resort

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Small but friendly

Our first impression was not good. The air conditioning did not work and the so called technician said keep the door shut. Toilet handle broke next day and bug ran across floor. Went to front desk, explained and requested another room, closer to friend and 2 or 3 floor. Done, and politely!! Rest of stay went well. Travelling with 4 others. Enjoyed deejay dance in lobby. Beach very spacey and we'll kept.

Melia Marina Varadero: Great resort-

The resort was great -our room was beautiful -2 bedroom -living room -washer dryer -full fridge and stove -microwave -2 showers and all at no extra cost . The hotel staff were very friendly and courteous . The food was good all they need to do is to expand the main dining room area . The alcarte dinners were great . All in all we had no complaints . and yes I would return to this resort.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: A great get away

The resort was really enjoyable - the food was great, the staff were lovely and the accommodations were good (poor water pressure in the showers was the biggest complaint) I would return to this resort in a heart beat

Melia Las Americas: Great for Golfers

The resort was right next to its golf course, so golf can become part of the package, which interested us. The accommodations were excellent and the food quite good. Service ranged from excellent to strictly average. Would we go back? Possibly, but the biggest drawback is not the resort, but Cuba. The bureaucracy at the airport, among other places, was incredible.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: excellent stay

hotel was well kept but showing it's age. food was excellent, but could have more restaurants to choose from. best beach on island. needs more variety of nightly entertainment. staff was friendly and helpful. a must is to have an all inclusive stay, as prices for food and drinks very expensive.

Melia Marina Varadero: Fantasic Holiday

We stayed in the Melia Marina in March.We stayed in Cuba a couple of years ago. And were unimpresed. The Melia was a pleasent surprise. The rooms were great , Exelent views from either the marina side or pool side.The food was really good for cuba, staff were always helpful. When all the amenities are open it will be awsome. The only reason I didnt give it a 5* was because the entertainment day and night was just ok. The only stand out preformance was Micheal Jackson nite he was fantastic. Sol Varadero Beach: Really nice hotel for $ value

Really nice layout, clean & courteous staff. Close to city for night entertainment & shopping also to mingle with the locals. One of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen with calm to medium waves to play in. Lots of activities on beach & resort.

Melia Santiago: second time lucky

The first time I stayed at the Melia hurricane Sandy arrived our first night and pretty much totaled the city. We moved on but we're sad to leave the hotel after they had worked so hard to keep us safe and happy. We returned last February and stayed in the same room and enjoyed the help from the same staff. We found them very gracious friendly. I took a few very modest gifts and they were well received. You can't go wrong with baseball stuff or computer peripherals like mice or keyboards. For m [... read more]e the highlight of the visit to Santiago was hearing live music four out of seven nights. If we go back to Santiago we will definitely stay with our friends at the Melia.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Excellent relaxing vacation

the resort was clean including all activities. the staff was very attentative and the food was very good for the most part. The beach was outstanding and it was a very relaxing vacation. resort had everything but was small enough to get everywhere quickly

Hotel Camino del Mar: Not what we expected

The resort was ok but not what we had expected at all. For the most part we enjoyed ourselves minus a few things that will prevent us from returning and I thought that it would be useful information for you for when you recommend this resort in the future. Most importantly we will not fly Canjet again if we can help it. The majority of the guests at this resort are older / retired people. It was a very boring resort to be honest. There was a huge lack of night life and we found ourselves going  [... read more]to bed by 10 because we were bored and there was nothing to do. The beach was amazing but it was often difficult to find a lounger on the beach and loungers at the pool were non existent as they were "reserved" by guests very early morning with their towels so we never had a chance to go in the pool at all the whole vacation. It is a very windy place which we did not know. It is a famous location for kite surfing due to the windiness. It was nice for not being too hot and muggy but not so nice for the waves in the ocean for swimming. We were able to go in to the water about 3 times because the rest of the time there was a red flag and no one was allowed in the water as it was not safe. I came home however with both of my legs extremely chewed up from sand fleas. I'm not talking one or two bites I'm talking hundreds of bites, my legs, ankles and feet were completely covered! Food was great so we were really happy with that!! The rooms were really clean but dated but that is pretty well the norm for Cuba so that's not a big deal. We did not have any bugs in our room so we were happy with that LOL. We paid quite a bit of money after we arrived there for an upgraded room and were rather disappointed with the "upgrade" but all in all it was ok. The customer service at the resort was fantastic for the most part with just a couple of incidents we had which were not major and not worth mentioning. The staff were all super friendly. This resort is more suited for older people that don't mind that there is not really much entertainment and the fact that the resort is made up mostly of older people and want a super quiet vacation. I really would not recommend this place to younger people because they will find themselves extremely bored as we were.

Melia Marina Varadero: Disappointment

We had such high hopes for the Melia Marina Varadero. It was the first return trip to Cuba after several disappointing vacations. We were so excited to get away after a very difficult winter. We arrived late in the evening so we didn't check into our rooms until around 11 pm. We were very hungry. The only place to get food was at the outdoor pool restaurant. We had difficulty finding our way to our room, as the resort staff at that time of night, didn't seem to understand English. Our first room was in the basement, we requested a change the following day. The room was the same but we had a view of pool area. The hotel was very accommodating to the request. The resort was recently built so the grounds and gardens were still a work in progress. Pool area was very nice although it lacked shade. The covered cabana areas around the pool area were extra so they were empty most of the time. Guess you had to pay for shade. The beach was beautiful and we did not have any problem finding seats and shade. Water was amazing turquoise, warm and refreshing...loved it. Transportation to beach was a problem as we had wait 1 hr. until trolley came by. We have difficulty walking so trolley was the only way for us to go. There was only one trolley in operation at that time. I did report this to staff. The lobby bar and outdoor balcony was very nice and we spent most evenings there, although floor service seemed for a select few. Many times we were passed by and had to get our own drinks. We had 2 a la carte restaurants available to us. The Japanese and French. Both were excellent, unfortunately the buffet which we had to eat, at every meal was terrible. The hot food on tables was cold, the cold food was warm. We were concerned with safety issues. If they could cook such amazing meals at the restaurants; why couldn't the buffet be at least edible? The beach bar had a menu, but rarely had anything available. We and others were interviewed, in the buffet area by a hotel representative We expressed our concerns with the food and resort. The insect bites, from the first night we arrived, became quite severe and painful as the week progressed.The bites lasted several weeks after we got home and I have scars from them. I talked to the hotel staff and was told it would cost $150 for a Benadryl shot. I did report the disappearance of my Guess watch, but nothing came of that ... We did have great Waitresses in the dining room. They were always friendly and reliable. We will not return to Cuba after our last vacation to the Melia Marina Varadero that had a 5 star rating. There are many other places to visit, with excellent quality food, accommodations and service. Thank you

Melia Varadero: Our trip to Cuba was interesting

The hotel Melia Veradero was very nice & very clean The grounds were well kept The people are very hard workers We plan to visit this hotel on our next vacation We have friends wanting to visit this hotel

Paradisus Los Cabos: Nice resort

Food was amazing never bored of the buffet, theme nights were great. Loved the pottery paintng bye the pool also loved the fact it wasn't just for kids. Hotel staff were friendly and great. The rooms however were a little dated, need a little love.

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Wonderful quieter resort

Not as large as some of the other resorts on Santa Maria but the facilities were wonderfully clean and the service of the staff was excellent. It is certainly a place I shall be returning to. I travelled alone and felt really safe.

Melia Marina Varadero: Excellent Vacation Destination

Melia Las Antillas: Best Resort in veradro

Have stayed 7 times a this resort, cannot say enough good things, staff very accomodating, food is awesome, bartenders alway"s remember us, Beach is the best in the world, housekeeping staff very efficient, love, love love the guy|s and girls in the buffett.
