Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great place, staff was wonderful.

Our overral experience was good. The only downside was the entertainment, it was just lacking. My teenage kids felt that the lack of a nightclub or other entertainment for the younger crowd was not great, as this left them with nothing to do at night. With so many families arriving at the hotel, there should have been more of a variety of things to do for adults, small children and older children.

Breezes Bahamas: Great value

This hotel was a great value , the beach was great, the staff was wonderful, the grounds where beautiful. The rooms need some update. The first room the safe did not work and there was no shower Handel. We brought it to the hotel staff and they upgraded us right away. Great time and a inexpensive way to go to the Bahamas

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Nice Resort

Resort and grounds were nice. Food was good. We had butler service but it was not as good as some of the other Sandals we had stayed at. We were expected to carry our own cooler and drinks back and forth every day. Butlers at other resorts did this for you every day. We didn't see the point of the butler if we were doing that ourselves every day. Also they were overbooked for our beachfront room top tier category. We had a noisy parking lot view the first night of 4. Very disappointing.

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Outstanding Experience from Beginning to End

I have never been to a sandals resort and I will admit that I really didn't know what to expect. With that said, my trip exceeded my expectations in every category. Not only was the resort lovely, pristine and well appointed, the food and personnel at the resort were absolutely 5 stars. The resort and rooms were pristine and the facilities were always clean and well kept. The beaches, while small, were perfect and well maintained. I would note that we never had a problem getting a chair or umbrella at the beach or pools and towels were plentiful. The food at sandals was exemplary. 9 restaurants and all of them were delicious. I have never experienced such delicious food at an all inclusive. Sports and scuba were included and we took advantage of both. All activities were led by amazing staff who ensured our safety every time. All in all, an exemplary trip. We have already booked for a second trip back.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Wonderful Holiday!

I was quite impressed with most things at this resort. A wonderful array of food at the buffets: wait staff and service personel were all friendly and provided helpful assistance when needed (without waiting for a tip -even though we did tip if one went out of his/her way to assist); the place was meticulously kept, including the rest rooms; suites are roomy with comfortable beds and pillows and deluxe bedding; beach was clean and water beautiful!! It took us almost two hours to get our room keys and the staff were not at all sympathetic or helpful in establishing some form of order to the mass of people who had arrived tired after a long day of travel. When later approached, it was stated that this was the responsibility of Sun Wing to establish how they wished the travellers to be accommodated at registration but I find this highly unlikely!!

The Royal at Atlantis: exceptional family vacation

If you're looking for a great family resort for children of ALL ages, Atlantis is for you! There's something for everybody, rain or shine! Everything from lazy rivers, to super speed water park, to exquisite beaches. Food selection is terrific and they have something for even the most selective individuals.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great spot

Great spot for our bachelor party. Restaurants were fully booked pretty much every night but we still managed to get in every night due to cancellations. The pool was a nice size and refreshing, and the beach was excellent. Soft white sand on shore and as far as you could hope to walk into the water. Would recommend to friends.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Pretty good

The food was good. Beach was good, pool was at times dirty with a film I'm guessing from tanning lotion. The hotel is a little dated but not bad, our room was on the 15th floor which only 1 of the 3 elevators went up to, so long waits. The staff are friendly. Overall for the price I would go back.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Was enough for 4 nights

Food was good. Beds need to be updated, very uncomfortable. Service was sometimes poor. Small resort with only one pool that doesn't see the sun until late in the afternoon. The resort did not have enough umbrellas, people had to go early as 7 am to book an umbrella. Did not have a chance to try the A La Carte Dinner as they were fully booked by the time we arrived to the resort, although we saw a lot of empty seats during dinner.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: The Best Location

This hotel is always great! It's in the best location, and provides easy access to all Atlantis amenities. We enjoyed the food and drinks, free WIFI, and the cleanliness of the resort. All the staff are very friendly

Breezes Bahamas: Funnest Trip Ever!

I went to Breezes with my best friend for a week and we loved it. It was so fun. The staff was the friendliest staff. The entertainment was amazing. Every night was something fun and different. Plus they had a disco and piano bar. Drinks were available until 3am. The beach was fantastic-long, clear water, white sands. The pools were great and had a swim up bar and a hot tub. The down side were the rooms-a bit outdated and no balcony. And the food was only ok, but still good for a week. Overall,  [... read more]it was the best most fun trip! Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Great vacation , but!

Overall the hotel was fine but unless you upgraded to the level you are required to sit on the side of the beach with very little shelter. The side of the beach with the thatch huts for shelter were off limits to all guests except those upgraded to level service. It is nice to sit in the warm air but sitting in the direct sun is not fun.

Breezes Bahamas: Fantastic Beach Front!

Pros: beautiful beach and cabanas, friendly staff (most), open air massages and fantastic 'Funky D' Band and entertainment in the lounge Cons: tired rooms, poor water pressure with shower, food was average but included a variety, resort lacked in the deliverables and services

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great Location, Average Accommodations

We love the location of this hotel. However, we did not like having to pay $25/day for an umbrella on the beach nor having to pay $100 for late check out as the hotel does not offer a hospitality suite!

Riu Palace Paradise Island: amazing. we loved everything.

Great reception. Great food. Excellent staff. only a bit of concern is when a guest checked out at 12 but no separate showers until evening if the flight is at night . Only one pool for such a large hotel

Breezes Bahamas: Run down

The resort needs alot of repair and it feels more like a teenage hang out with cheap drinks and basic food more than a resort. The beach is beautiful and the trapeze is fun but I'm sure you can get these elsewhere.

Breezes Bahamas: Excellent beach and location ~ hotel not so much!

Stayed there for 3.5 days to attend the Junkanoo Carnival, which was amazing by the way! Staff on the resort well unfortunately they do cater more towards the locals staying there and you feel 2nd class due to this: Requests were not met as promised and repeating the request over and over again for items like a blow dryer (which is stated as in room) was not received. Food was very good for this resort, Beach AMAZING! Felt very safe in Bahamas and will be back just not to this hotel.

Breezes Bahamas: Definitely some Pros & some Cons!

Prior to booking this trip, I had read that the hotel had some recent upgrades/refurbished. The hotel itself is old and dated and needs a face lift. There were some small issues with the room (shower head did not work and the t.v. didn't work well) however the room was clean, towels were readily available and the beds were comfortable. The food at this resort was FANTASTIC! I haven't had food this good at a resort in any of my travels. So much variety, hot and tasty. Breezes Bahamas: A bit dated

The Breezes resort is very close to the airport and an average hotel at best. The price was right however and the original room we booked was dated we upgraded to a beach front, walk out room which was great. The service from the restaurants, (Ricky you are amazing!) pool area (Rashad we miss you!) and maid service was great, very friendly. Front desk staff was very slow to accommodate or get to your request (for example we had a fire alarm that went off every night all night and although we rep [... read more]eatedly asked for this to be looked at, this was never done). For the price the resort was clean and easily accessible to the airport, downtown. Would rate a 3 star.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: small but nice

This resort is the smallest I have ever stayed at but it was very clean, the food was amazing and the people really friendly. As far as our room goes, the second room we got which I paid extra money for was very nice. The first one they gave us was suppose to be two double bed suite with ocean view for three people which was a small hotel room with two single beds pushed together for three adults??? Not acceptable as my mother was travelling with my daughter and I and she has a very bad back. Tr [... read more]avel agents should not be booking this type of room for three adults, not big enough. However when I went down to complain the manager quickly switched us to another suite at my expense. The check in also was very long, we were in line for over an hour waiting to get our room.
