Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good value, great place!

We had a great one-week trip. Overall, I think it was the best value all-inclusive we’ve done to date. Hotel staff was excellent! And the hotel was clean and well taken care of. Lots of great food options. The only downside was the beach was quite a distance. The beach was great and the snorkeling was great right off the beach. Lots of wildlife! Recommend downloading the app for the hotel in advance.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Can’t wait to come back

Other than the musty smell in the room,looking forward to another stay in the near future. The staff all around are an amazing group and enjoyed the interaction. Cleaning staff a room cleaners did an amazing job and the restaurant/bartending personal ALL were fantastic.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Not What I Remember

I was here back in 2017 and while the food was ok it doesn’t hold up against the Riu chains. Beaches were decent with the exception of whatever kept “bumping” us in the water. Didn’t hurt just kind of startled you. Locals said it was baby stingrays. But didn’t see them Room appeared clean and nice but infested with cockroaches. They sprayed for us but within 4 days they were back again. This made living in the room and packing up extremely concerning.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Wonderful resort...

The entire resort was very well kept clean. The public bathrooms were always super clean . The food was amazing. We ate the buffet almost the entire time. Always fresh and tasty. The entertainment staff were such a pleasure. Gretel and Hannia were our favs. The rooms were pretty decent. We needed to move rooms because of noisy neighbours and the front staff were amazing to deal with. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. All employees here were very pleasant. Such friendly people.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Bahai Príncipe Luxury Sian Khan

The hotel rooms were very nice and spacious but a little outdated. The resort is very intimate and has plenty of foliage. The food was very good and they had a good variety at the buffets. We tried five a la carte restaurants and we were pleased with the food. We were not thrilled with the beach as it was very rocky and was therefore dangerous. There was a very unpleasant sewers smell close to our room as well as other areas of the resort. The staff were amazing, friendly and very helpful. All in all we would rate this resort a 4/5.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: NEVER AGAIN!

Over four decades and after visiting the Dominican Republic for at least 15 times, this particular "vacation" was the absolute worst my wife and I can remember. As elderly people with moderate habits, I was taken ill on our third day on site with severe diarrhea, had to consult the resort's resident doctor and spent -- besides US$330 -- the balance of our "vacation" taking anti-biotics, pills for fever and chills and pro-biotics. On the final night in the resort, my wife was taken ill by way o [... read more]f vomiting and diarrhea and travelled severely ill all the way back to Canada on an empty stomach since all she could consume without vomiting was water and pretzels. There is no question in our minds that the level of hygiene security in the kitchen and in the bars were lacking. NEVER AGAIN will we be staying at this or any other Bahia Principe resort. For that matter, I think we shall write off the DR as a destination.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: A lot has changed in two years

I went to this resort December 2022 and loved it. We went back last week, December 2024 and a lot has changed. Overall, it is very run down and under staffed. I got the feeling it was next to be renovated as I know some of the other resorts on this property have been renovated in the last 2 years. I would pick a different resort on the property next time. We went to Aquamarine in 2023 and liked it a lot.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great resort!

Terrific staff! Very accommodating! Building 90 was a great location although facing the pool was too noisy for us - fortunately we didn’t face the pool. Restaurants were quite good particularly Yurta, a Mongolian eatery! Rodizio was not great! Beautiful beach! Nice pools. Mosquitoes got 2 of us with nasty welts that took a long time to heal!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: So so resort

The staff tries their best to give their guests the best experience. The food was good, however it was very repetitive. Going to Jamaica, you’d expect more traditional cuisine than there was North American cuisine. I found that very disappointing. I didn’t expect the Luxury to be a seniors home… the facade is also crumbling. Some much needed repairs and renovations would be necessary to keep clients coming back as there are many resorts along Montego Bay. There is absolutely no beach at all on the Luxury side. A 10 min walk would need to be made to access the beach on The neighbouring Grand Bahia. I’d give this resort a 6.5 out of 10 and that’s mainly bc of the bar staff and restaurant workers.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing Resort

We just returned from 10days in Paradise. The resort is amazing from The grounds , the food etc but The staff make the resort the best ever. The entertainment staff is #1 along with the bar staff, waiters, waitress, front desk etc etc We can't say enough words on how awesome everyone was... One of our Group has already booked to come back in Feb. We will all be back ?❤️

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Incredible getaway!

My daughter and I went on our first mother daughter trip and this resort totally blew us away! We enjoyed the daily poolside activities, the stunning room, incredible meals! We had the absolute best time and made so many memories here! Highly recommend this resort! My daughter can’t wait to go back

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Picture Perfect Place

Beautiful hotel with a layout that made everything so easy to navigate. Gardens were stunning and pools were pretty too. Beach was the best for hanging out and relaxing but also for a few fun beach activities. The resort made major efforts to ensure everyone was having a nice time including a team of entertainment youth who made the stay that much nicer with their easy going get involved with some fun approach.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great resort

The resort was decent, didn’t have access to the beach which was inconvenient! Also the food was not very vegetarian option friendly which was a down size because 3/4 of us were vegetarian. The entertainment was great, the overall experience was good but I wish there was more for the food options and direct access to the beach!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Nice Resort

Beach and water is AMAZING!! Staff are all so friendly and attentive, rooms are clean and spacious! Food could be improved a bit with selection and quality, but overall a great experience and a great resort!!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: 4th time here very disappointing

No hot water in bathroom for first 5 days (of 7 night stay). Had maintenance come 3 different days. My wife complained at front desk and the staff made her walk back to our room at the far end of the Adult Section and climb stairs to penthouse suite to prove the water was cold. Very insulting. Staff had filed service reports and still not fixed - and they did not believe us. We also did not have hot water in our rooftop lounge hot tub. We had no hot showers and no hot tub for 5 days. Room was 18 [... read more] degrees and freezing - only had 1 blanket. Staff who filled the mini fridge never left the standard selection - guessing game. When we first arrived we received the first night reservation for dinner-but were told there was no openings for any other night-told to come back every morning and ask again. Definitely not 5 star service. We asked every day and waited around - finally got Definitely not 5 star service. We asked every day and waited around - finally got bookings. This was supposed to be a relaxing holiday (wife's and my birthday celebration) but NOT relaxing. NO rep on site from WestJet. We asked front desk staff to find so we could get info on departure. Never saw this person. No signage at Hospitality Room with rep name or schedule. No booklet available for us to check departure. At checkout we waited for bus to take us to airport. No bus. Staff called other buildings looking for bus. The bus was sitting at another area of the complex - waiting to leave After 4 visits to Bahia Principe - don't want to return again . So disappointed. Staff nice - food is good (needs revision). Received 2.5 star service. Bahia Principe let us down. Thank you to Trip Central staff (J.) for your help.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Not as good the second time around

This was our second time staying at the resort in 2024. Pros: *Beautiful resort with a beautiful beach *Clean *A variety of restaurants throughout the properties with various cuisines. We enjoyed Yurta, Dominican, Asian Fusion and Meats Restaurant staff are very friendly *Building 64 and 67 (not the service road side) are ideal for beach, pool, and smaller breakfast and lunch buffets (i.e. limited variety) Cons: *No cold water in our room during our 9 day stay. We were told it was [... read more] a third floor issue as the pump wasn't strong enough. Shower was unbearable. Couldn't wait to get home to shower. *Toilet in our room did not flush at times (no cold water). This was crazy. We had to use the lobby several times (5 minute walk). *No communication re. any water issues. *Restaurants - Fish Market and the Brazilian. The Fish Market lacks staff and service. Brazilian had a great ambiance, but food is subpar. *There are a lot of cats on the property. There have been new litters since we were last here. *Bring heavy strength bug spray and afterbite, i.e. Deep Woods or Muskol. The bugs come out after dinner and attack the ankles and legs.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Very good resort! Grounds were impecable!

First off the resort complex has EVERYTHING you could possibly need! Our room was on the ground floor of Villa 91 just off the pool. It was exactly what I requested and needed. The Esmeralda main pool was just outside our room. Its busy during the day so as long as you are good with music and laughter you will be AOK this close to the pool. The FOOD ... the food at most of the restaurants was only good to very good. Not great or excellent. EXCEPT for YURTA, the food that night was EXCELLENT. The Greek, oh my gosh, it was terrible and they really need to do a better job there. Casa Bella was very good, Maiko Japanese (Punta Cana) was good, El Oliva Mediterranean was good, Beach buffet and the main buffet were very good, fresh and loads to choose from. LIMBO bar at the Ambar was also excellent. Top shelf and the two bartenders that were there from Dec 6 to the 13th were so much fun! Pool was fairly cloudy most days but on the 4th day there were complaints from a lot of people and the 5th day it was clean and clear. I would definitely go back to stay at the Esmeralda or Ambar. The other areas were very tired and in need of some TLC. All in all ... a restful, beautiful vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Good value

We enjoyed the resort although the room left a little to be desired. first of all the bathroom was never cleaned properly our entire stay, also the door to the toilet area made horrendous noise each time it was opened or closed. The living room curtains were impossible to open and the door itself had a broken handle and locking system and we had to get a handy man in to kind of repair it. Bahia Principe Explore Legend: We had a great trip

Our room could have used some touchups. Safe was broken. The pools are huge and not crowded, we were always able to sit in decent spots. Bubble party was awesome. Great Waterpark. The beach, while beautiful, was packed, and you are bombarded every 2 minutes with people trying to sell you things. It was super annoying. It is always very wavy aswell. This was fun for us, but also to be noted if you have kids. The teens club was horrendous and shouldn't be advertised, as such the game room. Both are in the basement and EVERYTHING was broken and extremely humid and musty. The nightly entertainment was decent. The grounds are spectacular, constantly gardeners taking care of the place. The castle light show was great and the feeling of being somewhere special was there. We loved all the exterior buildings and layout of the resort. Overall we had a great trip.
