Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great Resort

Amazing Service, Food, Pools. Beachfront needed some work. A La Carte services were awesome and the service was extremely professional. Seemed like they did a good job of putting the spring break crew in a separate location from the older crowd which was nice.

everything was good at this resort. We had a good time The staff were all very good and always happy and good comunication. The food was good. The pools and grounds were very well maintained.Good location from airport 20 minutes away.Nice small resort with all the ammenties around you.My only beef was there was no international drinks, like canadian rye or baileys. Would recommend this place and also go back.

The resort was easy to get around. Rooms were really nice. Grounds were very well maintained. The only thing I wished they had were international drinks. Staff at this resort were very friendly and spoke english very well.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Nice resort

Nice resort, I have stayed in nicer. Food was great, pool was great. If you are a beach person this is not the resort for you. Lots of beach erosion and sand bags. Entertainment staff were great especially PEPE. Rooms were ok, my AC didn't work but I also didn't call to have it fixed, it was too late when I realized it wasn't working. All in all we had a great vacation.

We had a lot of fun at the Bluebay but if your looking for a good beach this place will not be for you. Lots of sea weed and sand bags. Aside from that though, it was one of cleanest resorts/hotels I have stayed at. The food was great - lots to choose from. The staff were wonderful as well! There from time to time was a weird sewage smell it different parts of the resort but we were not too bothered by it. The other pool is by the beach and much louder. Down there they play music and games!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Not blue bay esmeralda

We and many others were bumped over to the occedental grand Xcaret from blue bay. What a disappointment. Was promised an upgrade and VIP treatment . It was definitely NOT anything close. Set up was weird

Loved our stay at blue bay. The rooms are pretty basic but the service was out of this world. Shout out to my favorite bar tender Gabriel Diaz! He treated us so well and would be the sole reason we would go back to blue bay.

Pros: Excellent facilities. Great spacious room with modern furniture, marble, tile etc. Minibar stocked with drinks. Not too far from the airport - about 40 mins bus ride. Fast check-in. Free Wi-Fi. Good food. Easy to book restaurants - concierge service at every building. Room cleaned daily and not too late. Excellent drinks at any of the bars. Great pools. Frequent shuttle service around the hotel. Great service everywhere. Cons: The beach is not perfect. The water is muddy from the seaweed. [... read more] The bottom is part sandy part rocky. Not enough shade around pools and on the beach.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Amazing vacation!

This resort was awesome! The food, drinks, staff/service was fabulous. The beach and pool were both enjoyed equally, lots going on so if you didn't want to leave the resort you didn't have to. I would go back in a heartbeat, possibly even take my kids. I did find the beds and pillows a little too firm and mosquitos kept getting in under the door, but other than that the rooms were very clean and had a nice view.

It super clean .. well layer out .. amazing beach .. lots of help everywheres .. food was fantastic .. great for couples or family get aways .. lots to do for young and old .. I'didn't have no problem going back .... A1.

Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel: Paradise

This is paradise. If you really want to relax, this is the place. The Ambar restaurant should command Michelin Star ratings. The food is amazing and the service is excellent. I recommend the Palafitos suites; with the private rooftop terrasse. 5 Stars+

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Really Nice Resort!!!

I tried to give 4 1/2 stars, would not let me. So let's pretend it did. The Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda resort was beautiful! This hotel deserves better than Good, however, not quite Excellent! Our service was Excellent! There was nothing bad to say of our room as we were very comfortable! I just feel it was not quite Excellent, that is why 4 1/2 stars. The separ [... read more]ation between the front of the resort and the beach area was strange, however, the journey there was gorgeous for walking/ridging and the buses the resort provided for your convenience were very handy and available. The swing-seat bar was unique to us and fun! All in all, this was Really Nice!!! Watch out for the "sharks" (not real sharks) that are trying to offer CircleOne, "not a timeshare" - so they say. We were on a much needed vacation and not interested in any meetings or offers. If your food is cold at the Mexican restaurant, do not eat it - let your waiter know. Also, taxis are cheaper if you walk to the main road, just remember you do so at your own risk. It went well for us.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Wasn't wonderful...but wasn't terrible

The hotel rooms could use a facelift. They were a bit tired looking. However the staff work very hard at keeping the room clean. The food was good, nothing to complain about. But I would have liked a place to get a "Starbucks" like coffee during our stay. The amenities were far from one another. We traveled with two kids (4 yr old & 2 yr old). Needed to pack a massive beach bag for the day as it was a trek to get back to the room if you forgot anything. This is a very large resort with a high number of rooms. Would I go back? Probably not as I prefer a smaller more intimate resort.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great Resort

My boyfriend and I booked this resort last minute and totally lucked out. Everything was great about the resort and the staff were all amazing. Food is great, rooms were clean. Only problem I had was the beach. It is man made and not very big. The water is not clear and blue close to the beach area. So if beach is number one on your vacation list I would not recommend going to this resort. Everything else about this resort was amazing the pool is great and really close to the waterfront. All Ritmo Cancun Resort And Waterpark: Good smaller family resort

Rooms (junior suite ocean view) we clean, spacious, beautiful view. A little distance from the dense hotel district. Resort is in the small side, not very much dining but the food quality is good. Water park and surrounding activities were great for the kids, bar and washrooms on that side were really nice. Lots of activities, nice beach and I felt safe letting my nine year old explore a little on his own.

this has been the second time I have been to this resort and plan on going back again. rooms are clean pool and swim up bar are very well taken care of as well as very good and friendly service. entertainment was amazing and the fire and pool shows are very entertaining. beach and beach bar are clean and freindly. the food is very good on all levels from buffet to lunch at the beach bar to the steaks house and Chinese dinners..but I have to say that the fun games and entertainers make u feel lik [... read more]e family and none stop laughs and fun..hats off to the blue resort and everyone you works there to make travelers happy and having fun...can't wait to go back.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Beautiful well kept resort

Such a beautiful resort that's extremely well kept. The staff were so sweet and even helped my boyfriend plan a birthday surprise for me in our room and sang to me at dinner. No complaints I will definitely be back (I recommend booking ocean view though or you may end up far from the main pool) also when you get there ask for second floor because ground level gets lots of animal visitors. Food is A+. Also 10 min walk down the beach to a clear water lagoon

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Not the one if you want to enjoy the beach!

The staff was wonderful, the food was lovely, rooms were great! There is no beach and the night time entertainment was really lacking. The grounds were nice and the shops were great. A little music after the show every evening would have kept us happy!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great resort!

Very clean resort with lots of staff. Fantastic atmosphere with an european flair. Mixed nationalities from all over the world. The local animals, similar to raccoons, were very friendly and fun to watch. The beach was better than most in the area and the seaweed was very minor. Our son (eleven) was the only kid on the beach all week, he had a blast making sand castles.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: I would go back!

Clean, friendly, great food and drink! Several pools and plenty of loungers in and out of shade. Rooms are nice and well stocked. You can even catch a shuttle into Playa Del Carmen (runs a few times daily.) This is shopping on site as well. There are plenty of opportunities for excursions to book right on sight.
