El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Very mislead

The lobby was the best aprt. On arrival the hotel lost our luggage, our room leaked, hounded by staff for google reviews and trip advisor reviews that were forced. Potential, but disappointed in this place.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: The resort was a beautiful older place little hard at times to find room but kept well ,the staff were very helpful

Had a great stay ,the room was kind damp but well kept ,the cleaners were very accommodating to our needs as we had three adults. It’s a beautiful older place . The pools and beach area clean with lots chairs and clean . The bartender/waiter Antonio was great and took care of our drinks and gave very useful info to us ,thank you . What a great waiter and we finally had Guacamole which we could not understand was the only place to have it ,whenever we went to resorts before it was always available, we were very disappointed about that . Ocean Blue and Sand: Horrible

I have never been to a resort where they bring the Locals in at a cheaper rate for weekends. From Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon the resort is "TAKEN OVER " by 200 or more local residents. Noisy, loud all hours of day and night, leaving garbage eg. diapers, food, cups, drink all over pool decks. Kids with floatation toys in the adult whirlpool, taking up dining room seating, food and services from the people that have paid big for a vacation getaway. The resort has issues with proper A [... read more]C, no water pressure or temperature control for showering, flushing toilets, limited internet. Several rooms have a gross odor to them. When you arrive the next day, you are hounded by representatives to buy into and join the "ELITE" club. Wanted us to spend at least 2 hours of our vacation time listening and participating in the seminar. Food presentative was pretty but no taste. Japanese was excellent.. Grounds and set-up was nice. Large rooms Beach, very little beach area. Mostly eroded away. Hi Tide, there is no beach area 2 big pools but cloudy and some days weren't open going green. Overall; was expensive, horrible experience and disappointing. Not a 4.5 star at most 3 star. We will never go back unless they update AC, water and stop the locals from coming in. The opinions of the other guests we spoke with fully agreed and felt the same way..

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Diasterous

Had one great day before Fiona was due to arrive and resort started to shut down all the facilities Al a carte restaurants, lazy river pool entertainment bowling etc. Storm hit causing considerable cosmetic damage, tin roofs tree leaves debris etc. After the storm resort was more concerned with cosmetics than customers. Cleaning leaves was the priority. We had no maid service for 4 days, pools were green with dirt and only opened at a rate of 1 per day. Restaurants other than buffet were closed 3 days and when the Al a cartes came on line to book on the H10 app you would get ready walk down in the rain only to find it still closed. Our roof top was covered in shattered glass and room developed 4 separate leaks 2 of which required buckets for the duration of our stay. We inquired about a room change but were told all roof units were unavailable. El Beso restaurant Pez Dama was damaged so no Adult only dining options were available. Asked for the glass to be cleaned up so we could use the roof top and was told they were off limits until staff cleaned it up and they never did. I'm sure many workers were concerned about their families at home and really weren't concerned about the guests needs. Certainly didn't get the vacation we were hoping for, but understand it was a major storm.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: It was okay hotel

I went to this hotel with my wife and the baby to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. There was alot of mixed reviews but in general we personally did not like the hotel. The front desk staff are really rude and the way they look at you is that we are the workers and they are the customers. We did not feel very welcoming at all from them. The front desk ask if we are here on vacation or celebrating anything, so we did say we are celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary and that was it.  [... read more]Once we went to the room and trying to make reservations for the restaurants but its showing our room is under someone else's name and not our name. we asked if they is any baby crib and they said they do have available and will bring to the room but never did. and every time I follow up on it they always give the same answer. But the staff at the restaurant's and the entertainment staff in the pool were really good. The food was really good also. It did not feel like a 5 star hotel really felt like a 3 star hotel. A lot of restrictions as where its all inclusive but you cannot get the drinks after a certain time and the food for room service is limited. This is our 2nd time in Mexico in playa del carmen but we stayed at a different hotel before and would go back to that hotel. The beach was very dirty was not able to go to the beach. But the rooms are nice and big, so i would not give 5 star.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: ORP - Privilege Junior Suite Swim Up - All Inclusive

I was extremely happy with my experience with Sunwing and Ocean Riviera Paradise - I had a Privilege Swim up Suite Room 3115 King size bed Sofa bed Personalised check-in and check-out Bathrobe and slippers ​24hr room service Balcony with private jacuzzi Concierge Services were very helpful - We texted via Whatsapp and met up where required. - Booking my diner reservations each morning before I got up, helped me reserve sunbed at the Privilege beachfront as well. Made change [... read more]s as I needed them and helped me with a car rental for a day trip out of the resort. I went in June for 11 days - across Canada Day and 4th of July - Both holidays were celebrated in some fashion at the resort. My room was great, no issues with humidity as some have described, but being tropical region, everything smells slightly damp. Pools and areas very clean, and never a long wait at any of the bars ( Beso and Privilege) I didn't really go anywhere else. I am flexitarian, and I found the restaurant menus really hit or miss. Some nights/dishes were awesome, others not. I really liked the atmosphere and service at the Italian and Blue Moon, Privilege Restaurants. Pez Villa - During lunch and at dinner was really disappointing, - only the view at a sunset time tinner was lovely. The Steakhouse was far too noisy, Mexican Resto waitstaff /service was excellent, I did not do Route66 and even though the japanese is super popular, and entertaining , I was really disappointed at the fool Activity coordinators work very hard, and are super helpful Everything is easily walkable, but it can be nice to use the trollys too. I do think upgrading at purchase for Privilege rooms and services is worth the additional cost. Sometimes guests are offered upgrades at arrival, but in my opinion they did not get the best choice of room. I would recommend this Resort. I have been to a few in the Mayan Riviera, and even after the effects of a hurricane 4 years ago ( Privilege chill lounge is closed ) , the hotel is working hard to keep guests happy

Ocean Blue and Sand: Meh!

We decided to upgrade to Privilege since our Tripcentral rep had requested the 2’nd or 3rd floor (2 adjoining rooms) however we were assigned to the first floor and I had read in other comments that there’s more chances of roaches, etc. Another thing that we were very disappointing in was when we went to return to Toronto from the airport in Punta Cana they said “ we have bad news….” Basically Sunwing had overbooked and did not allow us to pre-pick our seats. Beware this hotel allows locals to go for weekend visits and the resort gets very busy and not very relaxing at all as the swim up bars are hardly accessible! Wish I knew this ahead of time. We probably would not have booked in the first place.

Modern, luxurious hotel. Food taste so good, lots of pools and restaurants. Service was also good (all happy and respectful workers) Will be staying here again. Great choice you won’t regret trust me!

Ocean El Faro: Good resort but beach seaweed blocked access to the beach

Overall, it’s not a luxury hotel but for it’s price, it’s good value. Service was good and many members went above and beyond. Beach was often inaccessible because seaweed was built up to a very high level blocking access. They only used tractors to move it once in a while but would more often leave it untouched OR just have a few workers use small buckets to move it. If this issue was at least addressed to some degree, the resort value would go way up.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Amazing and Beautiful Resort!

A place to go with the kids for sure. Friendly staff and amazing facilities. The number of things to do within the resort kept us busy and its truly a family oriented resort. Did not even leave the resort except for their shopping tour which is a free option. Cannot go wrong in terms of cost and the value. Will definitely go back.

The resort was amazing in so many aspects. My and my husband went alone with no children. We stayed on the adults only side, only because it was a better deal when we booked our trip. We spent most of our time on the family side but did spend a couple days on the adults only side at the pool. We also really enjoyed the beach. There were so many chairs available any time of the day at the beach and the pools. There was some seaweed and the first couple days were more intense then the rest of the week but the water was still amazing. At around 4-5 pm each day the flag would turn red and you were not suppose to go in the water but it was still so lovely to lay out under the cabanas and watch. The lazy river was amazing !! We took our own tubes after reading reviews and this was a great recommendation. The pools, and grounds were kept very clean. The buffet was amazing !! Every day there was lots of options and they also had lots of gluten free options which was wonderful. We booked a couple of a la cartes and they were great. The booking system at first seemed really stressful but once you had the app and knew how things worked it was actually very easy to get things booked. You just had to book on the day of. There was no reserving things in advance. The reservations opened at 7 am, so as long as you logged on at that time you could get into whichever one you were looking for. The nightly entertainment was okay. A few nights were amazing (magician, 90's show), but a few were disappointing. Amazing theatre to host in though. Our only negative review to post about this resort was the nagging for the premium presentation. They were in the lobby like leaches. It felt like every which way we went they were targeting us. We did find this incredibly annoying. It was the only downfall. Otherwise we had an amazing time. Wish we would have brought our kids as well because it was very family friendly. Also the weather was amazing. Only a couple hours of rain the whole week in the day :)

I just came back from our vacation, This was an amazing trip to this resort, my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Ocean resort and will be going back at some time again. The food was good, the room were cleaned and the activities was great! The air Canada rep (Juan) is excellent at taking care of Canadians, he is worth the praise, he answered all our questions and take care of us while on the resort. Ocean Maya Royale: Ok resort

The resort itself is nice well maintained clean rooms were ok the food was awful 7 days one good meal they don’t have a breakfast buffet by the pool only up at the front buffet no entertainment at the quiet pool only the swim up pool we’re all the 20 year olds are sea weed really bad could not go on the beach at all the smell was terrible

Ocean Eden Bay: Wonderful staff and hotel.

This was a beautiful modern resort with many amenities. The staff members went out of their way to help with everything. It was very clean and quite often you could see the staff washing the floors and other surfaces. Everything smelled clean as well. I was completely impressed with the choices for restaurants and buffets. The Steak House was incredible. Bluemoon was a very elegant restaurant with many choices of well-prepared food. There were often cooks there to prepare fresh omelets in the morning or steaks or fish on the grill for your lunch or dinner menu. Finally, they had someone there to make a fresh smoothie in the morning. If you stay at the Ocean Eden you can also take advantage of all the restaurants and facilities at the other hotel adjacent to Ocean Eden. So there was no lack of food or entertainment or drinks. The entertainment company called Blueline was unbelievable. Every single staff member went out of their way to entertain and make everyone feel at home. Every evening there was entertainment either outside or in the beautiful Senses theatre. At the pool, during the day, they had activities going on and they had an incredible way with people. I felt like I had known them my whole life. They went way out of their way to get to know everyone. We were greeted warmly at each encounter. The bartenders are amazing as well. They can prepare a variety of drinks and are always happy to meet your needs with a warm friendly smile. There were plenty of lounge chairs and shaded areas around the pool and at the beach. They were kept very clean. The beach is very nice although there are some parts that have some rocks that you need to walk around. But, it’s very easy to do. We were in the water every day and the breeze was incredible. We will go back.

Ocean El Faro: Loved Ocean el Faro

The Ocean el Faro is a beautiful, modern 5 star resort. We absolutely loved everything about it! The restaurants, pools, rooms, grounds, lazy river and the entertainment crew were outstanding!!! We will definitely come back

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Beautiful resort, crappy beach

Our room and swim up pool were excellent. I’m not sure I would have enjoyed staying here without a swim up room, but would definitely come back with my kids to the family side. The lobby is incredibly beautiful. Buffet food was pretty good - it’s not Mexico, and it’s a step above Cuba. Our a la carte dinner was disappointing (steakhouse). Gift shop is incredibly overpriced - I paid $6 USD for me today (I needed candy bc of a dry cough).

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great Resort!

The staff were very friendly and professional, especially Carlos & Israel from the pool bar. The food at the buffet and specialty restaurants was excellent. The resort was in good condition was well maintained. Will not be our last visit!

We had a good time at this resort, the food was good and the rooms were clean. The only negative thing I can say is on the last day we were there someone somehow spoke the wife’s and my drinks and we ended up having a very rough night. Will not go into detail but we doth fell that what happened should have been handled a lot better then what it was. Will never visit this place again because of it

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Great resort!

The hotel and the grounds were beautiful. The pools were clean, and the service was fantastic. Housekeeping was immaculate, and the personnel were helpful and responsive. I would definitely stay here again if we visit at another time. The beach was lovely but there was a lot of seaweed and high winds so the flags were either yellow or red and not many individuals swam in the ocean.

Ocean Coral Spring: FANTASTIC VACATION FOR FAMILIES!

We spent 1 week at this resort and give it a 4/5. Resort: gorgeous. Well maintained. Very big, lots of walking. Beach: not the greatest in terms of size, but we still enjoyed it. Rocky and seaweed. Food: lots of options, but did have to wait for certain restaurants. We still managed and liked it. Entertainment: GREAT! Mariah, AKA Skittles, is great with the kids. Kids club is great!
