Paradisus Rio De Oro: Wonderful place

My husband and I went to the Paradisus to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We have been to many other places around Cuba over the years but I didn't know what I was missing. This place was just better that others. Staff extremely happy and helpful. Food plentiful, eggs, bacon, fries, pasta, chicken, desserts, great soups, juices, fruit, salads, fish etc, were all plentiful. The grounds were exceptional. Brisas Guardalavaca: The Worst Resort in Holguin Cuba

Do NOT travel to Brisas Guardalavaca. It is the worst Resort for customer service. There is no food and alcoholic drinks available for the Canadian tourists. All the food and drinks (especially beer) is stolen by local Cubans visiting the hotel. Hotel Customer Relations is a joke. The staff at the Customer Relations favours Cubans who come to stay a few days versus tourists coming in for a longer stay. What ever food is left is full of salt. I strongly recommend staying away from this particular resort.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: 3* hotel

Horrible service and food, 5* star beach and ocean. Wouldn’t consider this resort for the future trips. The buffet been closed every two days. If you don’t make a reservation afternoon before 2pm - you fcuked

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Beautiful, friendly, cozy place to stay.

It was a terrific place to stay. Everything was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was somewhat disappointing., but from what I understand the variety is just not available. It was wasn't too busy as it was just before the start of high season and it suited me and my friends just fine. I am afraid to say that we missed out on some of the evening entertainment. What I saw was, excellent!

October 13 to October 20/2023 Thanks Kevin, It was a wonderful trip at the Coral. Staff was amazing, housekeeping was wonderful. Place was always very clean so was the grounds. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Best in Cuba

My second time to this hotel , and it keeps getting better and better! The staff are second to none …… i didn’t encounter one unhappy , or unaccommodating staff member my whole stay …… special thanks to Marisol in the pool restaurant ❤️ ……. The grounds are are as beautiful as you’ll ever see …… even though Cuba is still rebounding , the food ( and rum of course ) is very good …… I love to experience different places , yet I will return yearly ……. Iberostar Selection Holguin: Large but lovely resort

This was my first experience in an Iberostar resort and I was throughly impressed. The grounds and gardens are beautiful. The rooms are clean with lots of space. Hot water, ice cold air conditioning and comfy beds. The beach and the pool are amazing. I can’t comment on the entertainment as I was too pooped to party after spending the day in the sun by the pool or on the beach. Even though it is low season we had difficulty getting into an a la carte. We had a reservation for 8 pm and when we arrived they had run out of the meats. Not everyone can eat fish so we had to leave and go to the buffet. Very disappointing but we do understand the difficulties Cuba is facing right now. We can’t wait to return regardless of the shortages.

Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Amazing resort

Every Thursday they celebrate Canada Day on the beach 🏝️ during lunch time with full drinks and very rich sumptuous lunch. It shows they have lot of respect for Canada, and Canadian tourists. Their cart services need improvement. In our group we had two handicap ladies. From their beach, 24 hours restaurant, very often the ladies have to wait more than an hour for cart service back to room. The hotel.is very calain and all people and soecialy mr roual the manager is very hard worker he is all time and every where to control everthing from tgevdoid to security and very nice with the gusts

Nice and clean. If the lobby and theatre installed the ceiling fan may be better. Come to the self-service restaurant buffet, I hope that the servers will be with the same person at the same time and they will not have different services for the sake of tips. If the servers are well serve definitely the clients will left you the tips.

Grand Memories Holguin: Nice resorts but out of no where.

Hi I would like to say good things first Hotel compere to others Hotels in Houlgun it is 3 star I liked my unit suit which was roomy and everything was working well The bad things which the manager of Hotel that can do for better on paths of improvement I would say To improve the foods that it wasn't tasty at all unfortunately there was no green like salads or fouroth just water melon and for first the papaya It was self-service and we have to wait so long to achieve the food I would gi [... read more]ve 3 from 10 The Japanese restaurant it was trebles no onions no garlic no shireeps no Tisted at all In total food was haribel my stomach got sick 3 internment it was so poor music was jus 2 hrs a night and the didn't open the salons for musicians so disappointed It was no transportation for even far city no shopping I didn't rely like it Hope the do some improvement for those services.

It wasn’t worth it in my opinion. I don’t believe the room was properly cleaned before I entered because there was a strange smell coming from it - near the front door (where the washroom was). The washroom didn’t have a proper door. It had a curtain, which was a little weird but it was ok I guess since I didn’t have to share the room with anyone else. The keyless entry didn’t work properly, even after I had kept it away from magnetic devices - such as my phone. Grand Memories Holguin: Amazing hotel, staff, needs more fruits and vegetables

People were amazing, lacking in fruits, vegetables and entertainment. No stores or other small shops. Nothing to do in the resort besides resting! Needs more attraction area like dance and good music. The last day trip was late after 1:30 due to our flight and we missed shopping, stores in the city were closed. The hotel is great but needs entertaining evening not only blasting old music till 9:00 pm. Is good for retired people pm.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Awesome Staff and Beach

Lots of friendly staff the grounds were well cared for the rooms were clean and staff responded to any issues we had quickly Our bar staff were amazing and the drinks were always good We were mainly at the beach , pool and sanctuary bar at the lobby Food was good at the alacarts They didn’t have eggs all the time but we didn’t starve and they always did their best The beach and swimming was one of the top places I’ve been to

Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Overall it was ok

So we went from the 27th August to the 3rd September, no moschitos that was a big relief, the beach was very nice up until local people arrived and left dirt behind them because apparently this beach is public and they come just before school starts 😳 the food was mhhhh, no tomatoes no onions, most of the meals were just very salty and don't get first floor rooms because you may have little uninvited friends 😀 Have fun!!!

Don Lino Hotel: This Hotel should be adveritsed as FOR SMOKERS ONLY. You CANNOT ecpect a lot from a 2 star Hotel

I have been at Don Lino more than 10 times in the last two years. Each time I commented about the lack of accommodation for nonsmokers. I was hoping that the management of Don Lino would designate a little space for nonsmokers. NO such a thing. I suffer from cigaret smoking, because of a bad allergy to cigarette smoke. People smoke even 1 meter from the entrance to the restaurant. All other hotels in Cuba have signs no smoking in all bars and lobbies. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Very a good resort

Well, we been 12 days with my wife from August 25 to September 5 and there is nothing to complain. Everything (resort , rooms , food, beaches ,services and cleaning’s ) is been very good.. Would go again with no hesitation.

Playa Pesquero: Love it!

This is my third time at this resort and it was a joy to return to Playa Pesquero! The people, the ocean and a friendly atmosphere bring me back. I enjoyed the spacious room (all my requests about the room location have been honoured by the travel agent and by the hotel staff), wonderful shows, cappuccinos, conversations with local people, well-educated and polite staff, beautiful picturesque views. I just love this place and want to come back.

August 22nd, 2023: We booked Air Transat with agent Janet Merrill. She was amazing explaining every question we needed to know about the booking of our flight. Our flight was safe, happy with kind hostess and experience pilot. Gran Muthu Hotel is the best hotel,we were welcome at front desk friendly staff who help us get settled to our connect rooms. Every day, rooms got clean by kind house cleaners. Food was good, fresh daily. Only orange juice was missing for breakfast. My family of four will visit again.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Great resort but some disappointments..

Overall the hotel was VERY clean, service was good and was greeted well upon arrival with champagne and accommodated us with WIFI, directions, & attended to requests quickly. Hotel rooms were 5 star to me. Absolutely beautiful & clean. Service was amazing and had plenty of hot water. Fridges were well stocked in room and towels clean including swim towels available in rooms .. . No bugs & AC was great. No toilet paper for 2-3 days in whole resort. Not much entertainment at night and not well or [... read more]ganized. Family resort was mixed with adult resort and noise was carried on until late at night. A lot of adults were annoyed by loud noises. The resorts should’ve been separated. A la carte restaurants were great and the beach had a lot of seaweed, not clear water, very dirty, too many crabs. I travelled alone and they don’t honour one person and don’t serve you right away. Had to ask to be served several times. Snack bar did not have enough options and wasn’t a 24 hr bar. Overall great resort
