it is a great resort, its our third time here will come back again we have 8 year old daughter she had a grate time as well in kids club Entertament could be better.....................................................................................................

Iberostar Selection Hacienda Dominicus: Excellent service

This is an amazing hotel with the most beautiful grounds of any hotel we have ever stayed at. The service was very professional and the staff was always friendly and helpful. We would definitely reccommend this hotel.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: What a great trip!

The Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville is a very nice resort where the staff go out of their way to please you! The grounds are very meticulously kept and the whole resort is extremely clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with each having a walk in shower and jetted soaker tub. Whatever you need while you are away, just ask and they will get it for you. The water was great to hang out in on those hot days. The food was well cooked and lots of variety. Most of us in our group did get sick during this trip, but you have to remember we were visiting the Dominican. We did not take precautions before going down. This really was the only negative and we did not let it ruin our trip or sway our judgement of the resort. If you choose this resort, you will have a fabulous time!

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Perfect for the price we paid

Amazing landscape , superbe rooms and very clean. One huge disappointment was the sea water in the golfe on the beach front. Not safe for swimming due to a high level of sediments and bacteria's brought by the river that's dumps all that nasty inland contains close by .

Overall, the resort deserves it's "luxury" title. The physical plant, (rooms, public areas, pool, etc.) are attractive and extremely well kept. Everything is CLEAN and polished/painted at all times. Service was wonderful about 98% of the time. Only one or two buffet servers tended to ignore us when we wanted coffee in the morning, but someone always picked up on this and came to our rescue, often a person wearing a name tage with "training" under their name. Lobby staff, porters, and maids were first class! I have heard complaints of "language barriers" but there is a universal language, NOT money, but a smile! Really, there was no language issue, someone would seek help if my rusty Spanish failed me. The food was definitely the weak point. Buffet "hot" food was never hot unless just freshly cooked or re-heated on the grill. The choice of foods was not bad, but soggy calimari does not appeal to many, even those who eat calimari. A la carte restaurants were better than buffets. Just don't EVER order the cod at the El Piscador. It reminded me of the old salted fish of 17th and 18th Century novels and was inedible. I'm sure my blood pressure went up many points with the salt intake from two bites! Overall a nice resort if you are prepared to eat simple foods in the buffet and don't mind cool waffles,pancakes, etc. I have to say if I would recommend this hotel to friends in check box below. I am answering "yes" with caveats - food and vicious biting bugs that leave oozing bites day and night, inside and out. USE BUG SPRAY!

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: A great resort!

The hotel was fantastic! Great food, rooms very clean and spacious, polite staff and great beach. A definite recommendation for anyone looking for a nice quiet getaway. Note though that it is a fair drive from the Punta Cana airport but it does give you a great opportunity to see a little bit of the Dominican country side.

The grounds were imaculant...the rooms were big and spacious ,clean every time.food was great variety is my conclusion ...ride a little long 1 hr 17 minutes from punta Cana ...beach because of the river near by little murky ..and most of all the staff fantastic .....especially Manuel, adolfina, Joel, Jordanro, Alexsander, my god there are endless names,,, Fransico the consierge WoW paid attention to small detail,,,, highly recommend this resort

Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach: A Wonderful Vacation

I had a wonderful vacation at this resort. The entertainment was outstanding and the food was consistently excellent. The staff were very friendly and polite. On top of it all, the beach is amazing. I had a great time at Isla Saona and would definitely recommend this resort to others. El Capitano will be back!

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Great resort and the adults only area was lovely.

Only real disappoinment was the ocean-while clean it wasn't that beautiful clear carribean sea that you come to expect due to the massive amounts of dredging of sand for surrounding residential development. But food, service, accommodations and people were lovely and there were amazing caves less than 10 minutes by taxi that are like a hidden treasure.

This holiday was a wonderful experience, from the greeting when we arrived at the resort to the room overlooking the garden grounds to the meals served. All employees were happy and looked after us. Completely happy!

The resort was beautiful. The grounds were spectacular. The staff were very friendly. Great service everywhere you went. We enjoyed our stay at this resort very much and would definitely go back. The food was great with a great variety.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Just what the doctor ordered! Very relaxing.

This resort was just what I needed.Booked into the Don Pablo collection, this 5*, Adults only resort was perfect. The room was beautiful, turn-down service every night, mini bar fully stocked, coconut room-scented oil, bathrobes and slippers and pillow menu appreciated. Bar service on beach from 10 am on....uncrowded beach and many loungers and palapas for the taking. French ala carte was incredible, but the others weren't up to 5* quality. More like 4*. I would definitely recommend to friends and family, and would go back if I could fly into La Romana instead of Punta Cana and take the 1 1/2 hr bus ride. I believe this is done during the busy times of the year. Nightly entertainment in the theatre next door, could use a jolt of creativity, but who doesn't like Michael Jackson. I am very happy to have come here for my week's vacation. Thank you.

If you are tense from work, stressed out or even need to get away for a bit, this is the best location in the world to have fun and enjoy it as you are the king or queen! Amazing resort with tons of fun people!

Dreams La Romana: Just good

We stayed in Dreams for a week (Apr 29 -May 06 2015). Overall our experience are good with some drawbacks. To get a better picture I start with "not too good" aspects: Beach. Beach is small and overcrowded with loungers . Distance between loungers just few inches. We travel to many places in Caribbean region and never seen so crowded beach. Part of the beach has a thin layer of sand over some hard staff (stones or corrals don't know what it is) Beach floor is sandy with some corrals and seaweeds [... read more] (not many but easy to come across) I'd like you to understand me right ,you still be able to swim and enjoy the sun on the beach (what we did) if clear your mind and don't expect a lot. Food. We seen much better variety and quality. I'd give it 6 of 10. We never left restaurant hungry during our week of stay there. Resort start to show it's age. Our room was good and clean with everything working properly. No problem there. People who work at the resort are nice and hardworking. Never had any complains about service.10 of 10. Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Definitely a place of pros and cons

Hotel satisfactory, along with the food at the buffet and a la carte (Italian by far the best). Good location for excursions as Santa Domingo etc. is closer (priced better too). Tame water if you like that and thus good for the kayak and pedal boat. Chose this location solely to connect with friends.

Dreams La Romana: Perfect Vacation

Perfect! The food was great. Tried most of the a la cartres and enjoyed them all. The grounds were immaculate. Staff was helpful and friendly. Good snorkeling right on the resort. Will return for sure.

We just came back from Grand Bahia Principe La Romana 2 weeks ago. The vacation went well and smooth, in overall the hotel and beach was good, even not clear see water was not dramatically. We enjoined the beach and swimming in the see. There never was a bad day to swim, no matter wind see always was calm, no waives at all. Hotel is clean and well maintained, room service amazing, but service at the lobby bar, buffet and beach buffet was a huge disappointment. Does not matter tip or not we were  [... read more]ignored by staff most of the time. The only good service we got at the beach bar closest to the adults only part and at the bar next to lobby. Kelvin is the best barman in the entire hotel. I would say the hotel is a lot family oriented, all entertainments were shut down at 11 in the evening. Which is basically not bad thing. Royal golden club privileges are a big joke.

The ocean water not being clear and I wouldn't recommend it for that reason only. Everything else was very nice. Also it would be nice to land at La Romana airport instead of the long drive from Punta Cana.

For an older resort it is very well maintained and a lot of the rooms have been remodeled . They are always cleaning and fixing from the lobby right to the beach. You could not say enough about the staff, every one of them will say hello and they are always willing to help or find someone that can. The food is very good for an all inclusive resort. The a la carts are quite good and not needing a reservation is a big plus that many other resorts don't have. We would show up at between 7pm and 8pm [... read more] and would not have to wait and we went almost every night in our 14 night stay. There are a lot of activities going on both at the beach and the pool and often at the same time so there was always something to do if you have to keep busy. The beach is beautiful , there are palm trees everywhere so you really don't need a hut. If you want one you need to get up early . There is a man made reef just off shore so the water is always calm and you can snorkel all day long . There are many kinds of fish along the reef just bring a banana and you will see more than enough.

Great resort. Very well maintained. Very clean. Everyone was friendly, food was good especially a la cartes. Overall experience was excellent. Excursions a bit pricey. Did not like being bothered about going to meetings about future trip with the Bahi Principi group.
