Secrets Aura Cozumel: CHIC Punta Cana

Great service in the restaurants and bars! New years Eve entertainment was the best ever! Great entertainment throughout the day and evening. No standing in line for restaurant reservations, they give you the pager and you can go to the bar for a glass of wine and they page you when your table is ready. Great diversity of a al carte restaurants with no limit on how many you can go to! Hotel is very clean and the maid service is excellent.

Allegro Cozumel: Great people!

Overall it was a good resort. Some hot water issues but the staff made it all worth it. New Year's Eve was awesome!!! Everything pretty much shut down by 11:00 pm. The Snorkelling was fantastic. Definitely go to the reefs!!

Occidental Cozumel: Beautiful resort

I would recommend this resort to anyone-Its a nice small hotel with great food beautiful beaches, and friendly staff. The only downsides were the mattresses were very hard, but after a couple of days you get use to them-Rooms were nice and clean!!

Occidental Cozumel: AVEARAGE RESORT NEEDS EXTENSIVE MAINTENANCE

nice settings a lot of , green however very small resort with no entertainment ,old buildings which need renovation. rooms outdated with poor bedding,staff very helpful friendly and working hard to make tourists happy.Cleaning is almost not noticeable because everything is old and needs repairs.Reservations impossible to make at the 2 a la carte restaurants as they are short staffed and cannot accomodate.Buffet does not have enough staff, huge lines in the evenings of 40 minute waiting periods t [... read more]o get in and be seated.The buffet needs a chef who knows how to organize menus. Poor choices and not enough fruits and vegetables .The restaurant on the beach has a poor selection of the same food each day.Tourists from outside were buying day passes. on the weekend creating huge lines at the beach restaurants and no lounges or spots on the beach. Definetely a 3 star resort with kind nice people who want to do their best but impossible due the age of the place.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Amazing Resort

We had a fabulous time at the Grand Park Royal Cozumel (Dec 2015). It turns out we picked the perfect week to go because they had just opened a new Caribbean restaurant in addition to their Mexican and Italian as well as added room service and a new cafe where they serve cappucinos and ice cream. The resort was extremely clean from our room to the grounds. The beds were very comfortable (we were in an end unit with a king sized bed and our teenage children were in an adjoining room. They also had daily volleyball games and nightly entertainment. Overall we had a very relaxing and enjoyable time which was the reason we went to an all inclusive.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Great Resort for Food and Staff

The staff and food were excellent. Yes there were some renovations going on causing some daytime noise but the resort made up for it big time with the staff and food quality. This was our second time there and we would come back for sure.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Terrific Resort

This resort was beautiful and wonderfully maintained. The food was great with lots of choices. The Steak House by the beach served the most tender steaks. All of the staff was supper friendly and eager to assist with anything. Really enjoyed our time. The only problem was the weather, as we had five days of rain.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Ultra Relaxing

If you want to relax this is the place, we picked from multiple chairs daily, no rush to get them. Towels just grab them no card to trade in. As far as the construction it was non invasive. We always grabbed a couple chairs under the palms just past the front desk in front of the ocean. Surreal relaxing spot, wish I was still there. But the Shrimp ceviche at Oceana was incredible to be honest I think I ate it at minimum 4 times I couldn't get enough of it. The liquor selection cannot be beat. Everyone one top to bottom, minus the jerk at the front desk that refused to give us a late check out or courtesy suite although others on the same flight got this even though they asked after us. That was the only draw back. Go enjoy the crystal clear waters, and relax. OH bring water shoes, a definite must.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: just ok friendly staff

The resort itself had pros and cons it is set in a jungle setting a lot of foliage but not flowers and color we didn't get one mosquito bite they do fog at night i expected to see more iguanas laying around but only saw one as well as a wild pig one night . they have peacocks wondering around but only one male they did have flamingos, turtles and iguanas in front of the buffet the room was disappointing it reminded me of something the flintstones would live in although colourful and clean it ha [... read more]d stucco walls the maid did and excellent job they had free wifi in the room with no signin screen the tv had mostly spanish channels but some english there are serious issues with hot water it gets scalding hot and the taps are not in english the "C" is for hot and the "F" is for cold. what we did eventually was to turn the hot and cold on full and then turn back the hot until it got reasonable the food in the buffet was good and lots of varieties a lot of food did not have signage we ate in the ala carte steak house once the food was above average and the reservation was not hard to get. the steak house is the beach buffet in the afternoon the other alternative is the tex mex restaurant its basically ala carte with no reservations. the food and size of the portions was a nice change. however it was loud and bright because it had no windows the beach was excellent and calm. we never had a sand flea bite. the sunsets were perfect with steel grey water. the cruise ships went by the one day at sunset. nice picture but the wife had the camera with her the beach bar made excellent mojitos if you walk to the right on the beach past albertos you can walk forever on the beach and in the water we never went to use the pool and didn't do any activities the shows at night in the theater and beach party was good but starts way to late at 9:30??? i dove at dressel divers, onsite, which were very well organized and i met alot of nice people the only issue is that it's a bit pricey especially with the canadian $ being what it is the reefs were only a short distance from the resort and alot of the divers i spoke with said that's why they keep returning there are so many places to see in the world so i'm not sure i'd return unless it was with a dive group or the price was right

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Amazing Vacation

My boyfriend and I traveled as a couple to Iberostar for a week in mid November. The first night we arrived it was pouring rain and we had a leak in our closet - no one really came by to check it out when we called the front desk however it was late and I'm assuming there was nothing to be done about it. It rained in the evenings for 2 days after and didn't leak again. The resort is beautiful, individual bungalows made it feel like we were in the jungle. It was very humid when we went and the room had a damp feel but there's nothing you can do about it - we left the fan running all day to help with the airflow. There are also wild animals scattered throughout the resort. Flamingos, peacocks, parrots, iguanas (big and small) and we even saw wild pigs at night! The food is amazing! No complaints, we ate like royalty. While we were there, the Japanese restaurant was under renos so we only had the Tex Mex and steakhouse to choose for dinner other than the buffet. The staff did a good job keeping food choices at a variety each night at the buffet as well. The beach is rocky and you can't get in through the front. You have to go to the dock and climb in there, there's tons of fish to see so bring your snorkel gear! The staff was also amazing! They would remember your name, what you liked to drink and ask how your day was going. Even sit down and talk with you if you were having your lunch by the pool. Shoutout to Juan and Orlando who kept up with us all week long. Overall we loved this resort, if you get a chance to rent a jeep and drive around the island I'd suggest doing it. We also went to the main land through the ferry to shop at "fifth avenue" in Playa del Carmen and downtown Cozumel you can see all the cruise ships docked. Downtown is busy, lots of vendors, especially when there are ships. Make sure you take the tequila tour! I would definitely back!

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Great Place

Hotel was under construction they were upgrading and adding new rooms. Our room had not been done yet but was clean and everything worked. The Staff was AMAZING they made the trip for us. Food was fantastic and drinks were good. All around nice place I would go back.

Some disappointments that were not expected for 5 star resort 1. No hot water all week 2.poor bar service 3. Poor service at windows restaurant and served raw pork 4. Rooftop bar closed due to construction 5. Slippery floors everywhere huge falls risk

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Good resort

Very clean and the staff was very friendly. The pools and beach were awesome. The beach is a little small but I really didn't mind that. Easy to snorkel right off the beach. Not great snorkeling but some neat fish and definitely something to do for an hour or so. I will say that the food wasn't great. The breakfast was always luke warm to cold. Zel Cozumel: Great resort!

Loved this resort-although not our first trip to Cozumel, it was our first time at Melia. Stayed in the Gardenview building, on the 4th floor and loved the view of the ocean and also the view across the island from our front door. Loved that there are two pools-one for the adults and a great pool area for the kids. Ate at the buffet the whole stay and had no complaints-enough of a variety to keep us happy. And if you talk sweetly to your very friendly servers, they may even get you a bowl of Ice [... read more] cream for dessert even if you ask for it everynight!! Loved the beach and the friendly atmosphere of all of the staff. Definitely would consider coming back to this resort.

Allegro Cozumel: Occidental Allegro Cozumel Mexico

Actual hotel and lobby very clean but room was very uncomfortable. Beds were hard as a rock. Showers did not have consistent hot water. Also the room was very small. Beach was very wavy. Hard to swim and sand was very coarse.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Good Resort

We enjoyed our stay at the Iberostar April 25-29. Staff were friendly and food was great. Rooms were a bit dated. If you are really fussy it's not the resort for you. Enjoyed my mornings on the porch drinking coffee in the hammock. lots of activities going on if you want to join in. Beach in front of this resort Is rocky. You have to walk out on the dock and go into the water from there to swim.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Better than Expected

We found this resort to be more than acceptable in almost all areas. The food was very good with a wide selection, the snorkelling off the shore was excellent and the swimming was fairly good. Sometimes it seemed like the front desk staff should have had more information about their own resort i.e. times of restaurants, policy re: extending room stay. Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Fantastic vacation!

This hotel was absolutely amazing from the time we stepped into the front foyer until the time we left. From the immaculate landscaping to the wild life that was made completely a part of the experience. It was incredibly clean, the service was outstanding, never once feeling the pressure to tip and always getting the best they had to offer. Iberostar Waves Cozumel: superb resort

This resort was very well maintained, staff was outstanding, clean, and our needs were exceeded. Great place to stay. The snorkeling was amazing and our guides for that excursion were fantastic. Pool was in great condition and Beach was good as well. Of course this is a coral beach area so water shoes are a good idea. Knowing that is important.
