Secrets Huatulco: Contemporary Resort with Guaranteed Warm Weather

The resort is relatively new & very modern, in keeping with the Secrets tradition. Spacious rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable and every room has a view of the ocean, which you can't say that for many other resorts! Staff are friendly and welcoming, although the bar service (hotel & pool area) and pool-side beverage wait staff needs improvements. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. Secrets Huatulco: Stayed at many hotels.......this one ROCKS

The resort was beautiful,staff went above and beyond...Rooms were awesome!, All rooms were oceanfront. Very relaxed hotel to be staying at . Total enjoyment. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to experience this resort!

Secrets Huatulco: Pretty much paradise!

We travelled to Secrets Huatulco from April 11-18, 2015. We arrived and were treated to cool towels to freshen up and a nice cold drink. I would say that their check in process may need to be re-vamped but alas we had arrived. Our room was on the second floor and had a great view of the ocean. The room was exceptionally clean and very spacious. The room amenities were great even without opting for the preferred guest package. (although there's not much privacy when using the toilet) The restaurants were fantastic and we especially loved the fact that no reservations were required unless you want the teppanyaki at Spice. One factor to consider os that there isn't much discretion on their dress code. They will serve you, however, if the guys try to go with nice sandals or some nice shorts, the staff will sit you for dinner on the terrace. (No A/C haha). The beach is breath-taking and extremely private, although the sand is very coarse and gets brutally hot. The views are amazing. Take the time and get to the spa, the hydrotherapy session booked along with a couples massage, you walk out feeling like a puddle, so relaxing. This resort is not recommended for anyone with mobility issues since it's built basically on the side of a cliff, there is a lot of walking. The beach and pools are a long way from the main lobby and restaurants if mobility is a concern. All the staff were very friendly and attentive, the resort should be proud of their staff members. Although we may not be back to this resort, as I think we'd like to visit other Secrets, I would still recommend it, but I'll never say never. The place felt like a little piece of paradise.

Secrets Huatulco: They treat you like a rockstar!

Everything about the experience at Secrets Huatulco was incredible from the rooms to the food to the service to the pools and the service provided by all the staff! They treat you like a rockstar! The Japanese a la carte restaurant was incredible. The fact that you don't have to prebook the a la carte restaurants gives you the flexibility to go where you want when you feel like it. A truly relaxing vacation experience.

Barcelo Huatulco: GOOD HOTEL DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU PAY FOR A WEEKS

Grounds and rooms are well kept.our room was cleaned in the morning and towels replaced every night and bed turned This Hotel has it good points. easy access to beach and pool. ala carte restaurants are very good. buffet is also good food for every ones taste.The sushi is surprisingly very goodf.

Dreams Huatulco: Great resort

We loved this resort, we came back a second time. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are clean but showing some wear and tear. The beach and pool areas are great, maybe some more adult only areas. We were disappointed in the food this time, especially at night.

Camino Real Zaashila: Disappointing!!

Unfortunately, our resort was not all inclusive, our package was. We had to sign for everything we ate and drank. Part of our vacation experience at an all inclusive resort is not having to do this. The food choices were very poor and it was difficult to find staff who understood English - the resort is mainly for Mexicans on holidays. To top things off, we both got sick - we suspect from the ice in our drinks.

Dreams Huatulco: Mediocre in general, grounds & people beautiful

We stayed for two weeks and were disappointed by the food. There is much improvement to be done there. The Japanese restaurant, the buffet & the seaside grill were all we would recommend. The worst factor we found was the lack of the shade palapas on the beach and too few chairs & umbrellas by the pools. Of course, like everyone else who actually like to sleep in a bit while on vacation (go figure!!) we found the chair/towel game to be exceedingly stupid!! The rooms were beautiful & comfortable & kept very clean. The ocean view was amazing. The people were lovely and very helpful. The town of le crucecita was very cool. Take a taxi & go walk around yourself & make sure you see the church. The catamaran tour was excellent. They will go out of their way to find whales for you. All in all 3 1/2 star.

Marina Park Plaza Condo Hotel: Amazing Place to Stay

Lovely condo hotel. Rooms were absolutely beautiful. First class staff and security. Very clean rooms and grounds. Met a few guest/owners who were very nice and invited us to activities such as sailing.

Secrets Huatulco: Outstanding Resort

Food, service, rooms and scenery are excellent. Lots of restaurants and choice with excellent menus and no reservations. Beach is not great for walking and lots of steps throughout the resort. Only 2 elevators were working and they were slow. We often used the stairs instead. All the rooms face the ocean and have wonderful views. Would highly recommend the resort as excellent value.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Awesome Week!

My husband and I travelled to Las Brisas in Huatulco for the first time in March. We thought the resort was outstanding. Loved the grounds and the beaches. Lots to do if you like to be busy. Offered many activites daily. The food was great and all the staff were very friendly. We hope to get back to Las Brisas next year.

Dreams Huatulco: Pleasant and quiet - very relaxing

If you're looking for a quiet alternative to the Mayan or Cancun, then Haultulco might be a great option. My wife, 2 sons and I just returned from a week at the Dreams resort. Nestled on a bay in the south Pacific, the resort is friendly, small and quiet. Our family enjoyed the authenticity of a true Mexican vacation and would recommend this spot to families looking for a quiet alternative.

Barcelo Huatulco: A Piece of Paradise

It was an honour to travel to the Mountains and experience the true undisturbed beauty of the countryside. The village people were proud and welcoming to allow us to discover the paradise they live in and work so hard to sustain. The City of Santa Cruz is breathtaking. We felt very safe and welcomed as we walked about this picturesque wonderland. The shops and market were wonderful places to gather some souvenirs or handmade products or jewelry. The restaurants and bars were unique and inviting. The park square in the centre of the city was well groomed and a peaceful spot to reflect on the lovely vacation spot of Huatulco,Mexico! Our trip to the Barcelo Huatulco was wonderful and it was a pleasure to be able to share this piece of paradise with the proud, friendly and welcoming Mexican people of Huatulco. We will definitely return to the Barcelo Resort and anticipate discovering many more memories in this Piece of Paradise ,Huatulco

Dreams Huatulco: Exceeded expectations

My wife and I chose this location because of the assurance of good weather - low 30's and sunny each day proved this to be a good choice! We loved the area, which offered many activities both active and passive. We loved the Dreams Huatulco for all the right reasons: comfort, service, cleanliness, amenities, food, and location. The beach is wonderful, ocean temp at 28 deg. Just be careful of any little ones in the undertow. No restaurant reservations, no problem. Our longest wait was 25 minutes  [... read more]and that was only because we chose to wait, rather than go to a different venue. One complaint, but it needs to be mentioned. The towel service and pool/beach lounge furniture situation is out of control. Although the resort posts a 'no reserving' policy, the reality is quite the contrary. We actually overheard people discussing who was going to get up at 2:30am to go down to claim loungers. I also noticed people who would reserve multiple chairs - sun area and shade areas. I should note that this applies to the beach palapas and 3 prime pools. There are 3 other pools which have less 'pressure' and are very nice in their own right. I think towel cards and enforcement of the no-reserve policy are the only fair way to go as long as it's explained at check-in. Oh, and the spa? To die for!

Las Brisas Huatulco: Great resort

A wonderful resort. The staff was excellent, the food very good and the rooms were great. I would defiantly recommend this hotel. The beaches can accommodate every member of the family. This was a great hotel for every age group.

Barcelo Huatulco: Wonderful Stay

We went for a week March 3-10, and we really enjoyed it. One of my favorite things was being able to hear the waves crashing at night while drifting off to sleep. I loved the size of the resort, very intimate.

Secrets Huatulco: Perfect Vacation!

LOVED LOVED LOVED this resort. Perfect weather, perfect staff, perfect location. The spa was unreal. The food was great, I loved that there was a buffet option every night, I get tired of having to dress up every night and having a set menu. We spent the whole time at the pool which was well maintained and always activities going on. I can't say enough good things about this resort. We will be back next year.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Relaxing resort

This was our 5th stay in resort. We do like all layout. Grounds are well kept. Challenging aspect are stairs. They are a few. But you can always find a way to avoid stairs or use a "carts service" for free. Rooms are simple and and always clean. Food is good with enough choices. Also 5 alacarte restaurace available. Great ocean swimming and snorkeling. Good birding even on resort's grounds. Strongest asset of Las Brisas is staff. Very friendly, accommodating and always helpful.

Barcelo Huatulco: All round great resort!

We stayed one week from March10-17/2015 at the Barceló Beach Resort Huatulco. Have absolutely no complaints. Food was awesome...Beach fantastic...Weather out of this world. Only fault was we were in a room that was unrenevated and in obvious need of repair. We had no air conditioning for 2 days which made sleeping very uncomfortable. However the management was very accommodating and upgraded us to a newly renovated room with working air conditioner at no extra charge and because of this great s [... read more]ervice would be sure to return if we were given an upgraded room. The animation team we phenominal and keep our kids entertained. May just plan to return next winter!

Dreams Huatulco: Fabulous Resort.

We had a wonderful time at Dreams Hautulco, one of the cleanest resorts we have visited, amazing staff, nothing was to much trouble, loved the no wrist bands, no towel cards, no reservations for A' la carte restaurants, just show up, and even although the resort was busy, we only had to wait once to get in, liked the Japanese, and the Italian the most, our least favourite, I'm sorry to say was the Mexican, maybe I just ordered the wrong dish. The selection of alchohol was also amazing, they had  [... read more]all the top brands, frozen drinks were made fresh in the blender, not from a machine, loved that. The one let down for me personally, was the sand, very rough, and hard on your bare feet, the water was very clean, and not a bit of seaweed anywhere, six pools to choose from, always managed to find a chair with some shade. Took a taxi into the little town of La Crucecita, lovely, very safe, mostly souvenir shops and restaurants, very pleasant, lovely people. Lastly, and very important, the weather was perfect.
