Everything about this Resort is great, it is always clean, the staff is friendly, the food is however mediocre at best. But what is NOT up to par is the wine. The wine that they serve at the buffet, as well as all the specialty restaurants tastes like petroleum......absolutely the worse wine I have ever had, it is COMPLETELY UNDRINKABLE. When we asked for another wine, that would be better than the first one they gave us they came back with the exact wine, different bottle. I think there should [... read more]be at least 3-4 different wines to choose from. This made us go out of the resort for dinner instead of having to endure this horrible horrible beverage they call wine. Will probably NOT stay here again due to this very reason

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Great stay- April 5-12 2017
Hotel is clean and all amenities are very close to one another. Upon arrival, we were given a room facing directly towards another building: I was expecting Oceanfront as per our booking. We were moved the next day a few doors down with a slightly better view. Overall, it was a great vacation. Great food, friendly staff, nice beach and would probably go back.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Great time
Loved the hotel and staff. I think they should include the safe for free and internet. Pretty cheesy to have to pay 3$ a day for the safe in the room. Also 10$ a day for internet Otherwise great place !!

Posada Real Los Cabos: Fabulous, friendly and fun
A small and amazing place, the best kept secret in Cabo this was not our first time at the posada real and it won't be our last. We actually went there to meet friends that we had met the first time and we had a ball, met some new friends too.
The staff are amazing, hard working and friendly, the chambermaids did a fantastic job on our room, every day it was a pleasure to go back to the room after they had finished. The waiters and bar men were extreamly knowledgeable, courteous and helpful, [... read more]Esteban, Benito and Francisco to name three. All in all a great holiday at the Posada

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: good value
Conveniently located with easy walk to major supermarket, la comier (mega), and the towns main square and local stores.
The hotel itself was adequate and functional although a bit dated. Rooms were clean and cleaned everyday although sometimes late in the day. Staff were always friendly and willing to help. The only negative with the room was that we had no kleenex for 3 days. The food was good with a good variety each day, including a wide range of fruits.
The beach was not suitable for swim[... read more]ming due to constant undercurrent but it was great to watch the waves
The pools were very good with a separate one for adults only away from the noisy children and activity ones

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Went for a wedding
Resort is small but well maintained. Drink service around pool was good. Wait staff at Breakfast and Lunch always great especially Elvis and Karen. Food at Buffets and a la cartes were really good with a lot of choice. Supper wait staff were good until you were in a group of 8 or more. They couldn't handle the drink orders or any other requests for extra utensils, glasses, etc. One person in the group got their beer 45 minutes after ordering it. In small groups, the service was great. Ro[... read more]oms were basic. The view from our room was of 2 buildings made of concrete with a view of the ocean between. We hadn't ordered an oceanview room so weren't too concerned. One tip is to make sure you request a king bed before going if you need one. Those that didn't got 2 doubles. Beach was nice for walking but no swimming allowed. The under tow was horrible. That didn't stop some guests from risking their lives even though a black flag (Do Not Swim for risk of death) by swimming well out from shore. Saw whales breaching from shore and sting rays jumping out of the water. Check in and out was quick and efficient.
The outdoor wedding went off without a hitch except for the pesky seagull that pooped on one of the guests. That wasn't the hotel's fault though. Food and dancing after was great on another outdoor patio. Had to be done around 10:30pm so we didn't disturb any of the guests with rooms right above it. The rest of the group headed for the Sky Lounge. We didn't as we knew if was extremely loud and we had to leave the next morning.
Biggest complaint I have has nothing to do with the resort. We were in line for 2 1/2 hours at the airport waiting to get through immigration when we got there. We heard every Saturday is like that. The airport has to do something about that. I guess it made the drink when we got to the resort that much better. Also on the way back, had to sit on the tarmac for an extra hour while they found a fuel truck. Overall, airport was disorganized. I don't think they know how to handle all those people. It was obviously never built to handle that many people and airplanes coming in or leaving. To those people that decided to go around to get right in front of the person handling a wheelchair down the ramps...get out of the way. You have no idea how hard it is to maneuver one of those down a ramp going backwards so the wheelchair doesn't get away from them. Just be patient. You got no further by going around and in fact risked your own life or limb (mainly a foot). Please people, use your brains or what's left of them after a week of heavy drinking and eating.

Riu Santa Fe: Awesome Pools and Tacos
I went with my parents so I was just looking to have a relaxing time at the beach/pool, read a book, work on my tan, and eat some good Mexican food. Overall, this resort ticked all those boxes!
The resort is large so you can walk around and hang out in different areas. The beach isn't that great because it's right on the Pacific Ocean, so the water is too choppy to swim and the sand is coarse. (I've only been to one all-inclusive resort before in Cancun, and I prefer the beaches there.) B[... read more]ut the pools were awesome so it made up for this. And it was nice to have one pool that is quieter and good for families and another pool further away that's more for the party-goers.
I actually thought the buffet restaurants were better than the a la carte restaurants. They offer more variety, and the a la carte restaurants serve the appetizers and desserts buffet-style anyway. The Asian and Italian restaurants left something to be desired. The lunch restaurant had a grill that served tacos and there's a taco stand in the main courtyard in the evening, and these were awesome!
The rooms were nice and clean. The only downside was that you couldn't get a hot shower from 5pm onwards, probably because everyone's taking a shower at that time.
Overall, I had a great time and would come back if returning to Cabo.

Riu Santa Fe: Great resort
The Riu Santa fe is a great resort with a lage ground and beautiful gardens, all areas in the Resort is very well kept, staffs are very friendly, we had a great stay. Food at the buffet was very good but did not change much from day to day, we all think the food in the Asian restaurant is bed, still self serving for most food except entree which only have a few choose.

Riu Santa Fe: Resort was decent
The resort is beautiful rooms are clean food isn't spectacular. Don't go during March the spring breakers are out of control we had one in our room at 3:30 in the morning somehow our sliding door got unlocked which we never kept it unlocked. People were falling over drunk and throwing up everywhere no matter where you were you could smell the drugs. I would recommend this place just not during March.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Fantastic - truly a 5 star resort!
We absolutely loved the Riu Palace resort in Los Cabos. There was so much choice in the buffet and the food was prepared perfectly. It was the first holiday resort where we actually preferred eating in the buffet restaurant vs a la carte! I particularly loved the breakfast, where you could get a variety of freshly made juices and smoothies. I had a different one everyday.
Service throughout the resort was top notch. The room was spacious and had all the amenities. The only negative comm[... read more]ent I have, is room cleaning, when done was fine, however they missed us for 2 days at the beginning of our holiday.
In future, I will make a point of choosing the Rui Palace wherever we travel if available.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Really nice resort. Both my wife and I really enjoyed the size of the resort being quite small.
The resort was extremely clean, the food was great and the weather even better. The entertainment was surprisingly good. The only negative thing that I could say is we got a little board by weeks end but we should have done an excursion.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Awesome Resort
The grounds were meticulously kept, our room and view was awesome and you could not pick a more picturesque spot to have breakfast than Oceana restaurant. The staff was always friendly and eager to help.
The romantic diner was spectacular, the food and view were great! By far the best food I've had at a resort!
The only disappointment was with the beach, the water was too rough to swim.
All in all a great experience.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Great week!
Had a great time! Small but cozy resort. Food was great. Buffet could be changed up more often and set up another a la carte restaurant but nothing major to mention - let's just say we did not loose any weight! Rooms were great! Lots of activities during the day and a short bus ride to town. Would highly recommend this resort!

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Best Mexican cuisine!
First and foremost the food was really good. Loved how they mixed it up nightly and it was always fresh and very flavorful at the buffet. The best was the food at the Mexican Restaurant. When traveling to Mexico it was a pleasure to eat Mexican cuisine at its finest without leaving the Resort. Hands down the best bartender we had the pleasure to be served by was Jaime at the Mexican Restaurant. He was efficient, warm and welcoming (despite how busy he was serving the restaurant staff).
The reso[... read more]rt was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful when asked.
The only disappointment was the housekeeping was hit and miss. When we arrived our room was not properly stocked. For the week we were there the inconsistency of stocking of the room was sub-par. On a few days we would not have coffee and/or cream/sugar restocked in our room. The next day face clothes/hand towels would not be restocked. Despite putting tip money out (hoping that this would entice them to take the time to properly due their job and service the room complete)
To be proactive with the coffee/cream issues I stocked up from the breakfast buffet and stored it in my purse/hand bag on the counter in the bathroom. When I returned late in the day the maids had removed all of the cream/sugar from my bag that was sitting on the bathroom counter. This was VERY concerning to me and was very upsetting. We enjoyed having coffee in the morning so we could sit on our patio enjoying the view before heading down with the masses to eat breakfast. Removing these items from my purse/bag was upsetting.
I believe the resort should have a "no leaving your towel unattended" at the poolside. I did not see one sign yet at 5:30-6:00 am most of the chairs were taken with towels and tables flipped upside down to reserve the seating yet there was not a sole around the pool. Even after going and eating in and around 8/9 am there still were no guests sitting in the loungers. We did speak with many guests who had the same frustration. We had many excursions outside of the hotel so this was was merely an annoyance if anything. Perhaps signs would be helpful.
This was my first resort experience (we usually take cruises) and despite the inconsistency of the maid services and the poolside towel issue I would recommend this resort (and have) to friends.

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Disappointing stay.
Upon arrival, the desk hesitated for quite some time, and didn't seem aware that I was booked.
I was put in a suite (unnecessary, since I was solo), in a building that was still under construction. During the daytime hours, there was constant loud drilling and hammering, which I could tolerate, at first, since I was outdoors during the day anyway. It eventually became unbearable.
The wall unit A/C in the kitchen/living room leaked water all over the kitchen counter and floor. This was never [... read more]repaired so I just shut it off.
The A/C in the bedroom started clanging loudly in the middle of the night, which lasted for a minute or so, (long enough to startle me awake), and spat small bits of ice onto the floor.
My second day there was no hot water for a shower. Technicians arrived and after several minutes I was told that in order to get hot water in the shower, I would first have to run the hot water in the kitchen.
My third day, there was no water at all. This was resolved within the hour, but, still....
This new building is stupidly designed, with the bedroom windows fronting an outside public walkway, and all of it maybe 100 feet from a four-lane highway.
I lost patience and was finally moved to another building with three days remaining in my trip. Even this room had noise problems: an intermittent thumping noise somewhere in the ceiling.
I wore earplugs during my entire stay in order to be able to get some sleep.
The food was mediocre at best.
The restaurant service was annoying: almost every day at breakfast, at least, (at least!) three different people would ask me if I wanted coffee. Can't they assign specific people to specific tables?
The pool area and the pool itself were annoying: the pool itself was no more than three feet deep; not conducive to any kind of 'swimming'; most of every day was devoted to loud and constant music blaring, and constant shouting from a 'social convenor' organizing and running various activities: trivia games, water aerobics, beach volleyball...pity people like me who only wanted some peace and quiet, to relax!
(And the picture accompanying this review page is misleading: that is another pool, which, I discovered embarrassingly, is restricted to condo owners and long-term renters only.)
I made my concerns known to some sort of manager, and on my last day, I returned to my room to find a letter of apology, an offer of an upgrade if I return, (which would only happen if I were offered a FREE stay), and...wait for it...a bowl of fruit.
At least the weather was ideal.
