Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Small, easy to get about hotel.

The hotel is my special Dominican Resort. I have stayed at hotels on the North shore, south, and many along the eastern coast of the island since 1984. Dreams Palm Beach is a hotel I have stayed at 24 times since 2009. My booked vacation in December 2019 will mark my 25th stay. Imagine. I do not own a cottage, but I can imagine going back to a cottage year after year would be as remarkable as me returning to my Dreams Hotel, without taking care of the property. Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Somewhat disappointed..

My partner and I came to Sirenis for a much needed, delayed honeymoon trip. The following is a breakdown of our balanced review of Sirenis. OVERALL AMENITIES: We liked our junior suite. The decor was nice and the room was fairly clean upon arrival. We were hoping for a tub, but the open concept rain shower was great. We were also very surprised that the room lacked basic amenities lik [... read more]e lotion or conditioner. The resort is large and we loved that it fronted right onto the beach. We also really enjoyed the water park, which was a unique feature of the hotel. One disappointing feature was an evident lack of bathrooms around the pool and beach area. The closest bathroom was the one attached to the Tex Mex restaurant, and everyday only two stalls were unlocked for guests. The other ones were either locked, full of cleaning products or broken toilets. Considering the size of the resort and number of guests, this is a design flaw. FOOD: The food was hit or miss, though there was a good variety of options. In comparison to some of the all-inclusive resorts we’ve been to in Mexico, we were not as happy with the food at this resort. There were two exceptions: the turkey club and fries from the room service was phenomenal and we frequently ordered that with fruit platters instead of going to the buffet. We also LOVED the donuts at the coffee bar. CUSTOMER SERVICE: We were extremely disappointed with the customer service. We were not the only guests who noticed that Spanish-speaking guests were receiving obvious preferential treatment over English-speakers. We were shocked by the lack of smiles from the people serving us, from the servers, to the lobby employees, to the bartenders. At the very least, we expected a smile, if not polite and friendly service....but even that we did not get at Sirenis. The exceptions are our concierge, Ethel, who was very lovely and helpful, and the two bartenders we befriended at the beach bar. To make matters worse, I had my new phone stolen in the lobby area on the first day. We were shuffled around to various different people who had varying different responses to how our problem would be dealt with. No one seemed very interested in helping us. We told the lost and found manager where the phone was taken, and were told they would “check the surveillance”. We had to make constant inquiries about whether that was done. Then, we were finally told that nothing was seen on the surveillance and that I “must have left it somewhere else”. I reminded him that my spouse and I were 100% certain that this was not the case, and exactly where my phone was taken. We believe there was a cover-up for an employee who had taken the phone. We had approached the woman who appeared to be in charge of fluffing the pillows on the couch where I left the phone momentarily, and her demeanor told us everything we needed to know. This carelessness and lack of interest effectively ruined the start of our trip. Had the customer service been better, we may have been able to have a good time. Based on this unfortunate experience, I would not recommend this resort to friends or family, and we were disappointed to spend our honeymoon there.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Tremendous experience

As soon as we arrived, I was extremely pleased. The entrance/lobby were luxurious and the staff made check-in a breeze. Our Butler, Frankly was very pleasant and professional, and was a great help throughout the week. Our suite was beautiful, the pool, beach, restaurants and bars were great. All staff were extremely attentive and a pleasure to be around. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great resort wonderful vacation

Great and beautiful resort, really well kept, nice staff, great entertaining crew, good options for kids - waterpark, lazy river, kid's club and also live shows for kids. The only thing we were not happy about was with the pushy up selling of their Diamond club, I bit annoying after a while. Overall experience was great and the amazing staff was always very nice.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Amazing time

We stayed at the VH Gran Ventana .We have been there a few times now and had a great time every time the beach was great the food was ok the service was great! The flight there and back was a breeze and going through customs was so efficient and fast

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Awesome Resort

Let's just say my family and I had a wonderful time during our stay. We stayed Diamond Club...worth every penny. The rooms were very clean and very spacious. The restaurants and the food was great. The staff at the restaurants were fantastic. The grounds were well taken care of as were the pool and restroom areas. All staff were polite and willing to help with all of your needs. Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Definit vacation spot.

This resort had everything a family needs from the waterpark to the beaches nightly entertainment kids and teen clubs where a hit with the kids the pools had entertainment all day long would like to of had some music in the diamond club pool it was to quite.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Incredible place to be

We absolutely loved the resort! There was tons of different things to do on the grounds, rooms were beautiful and staff was great. The food at the buffet, pool bars, room service and a la carts were all delicious and there was a wide variety of alcoholic options.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Perfect Vacation

The entire vacation was amazing. The diamond club experience was perfect and the staff went above and beyond to treat us like special guests. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Punta Cana

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Great Small but Fun Adults Only Resort

Love this resort. Small compact resort on a great beach. Visited with my mom who has mobility issues. Everything is so close. She had no issues getting around between pool, restaurants and room. Entertainment crew are fabulous! Our second time here and will definitely be back!!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

we stayed in the junior suite with a swim pool; the rooms were a good size; the washroom was a bit tight; the beach was very nice; the weather was decent; not a lot of rain; the alacartes were amazing; we went to most of them; steak house, Brazilian, Korean; the buffet both at breakfast and lunch had plenty of choices and were very good; the staff were friendly; the hotel was very clean; overall we had a great experience and I would recommend it;

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Gone downhill since our last visit

Staff was great, buffet and a la carts were amazing! The grounds are always perfectly kept. We were here about 5 years ago and it felt more “5 star” then. They no longer have robes in the rooms, which was just such a lovely thing to have, never had our mini bar stocked once during our stay, they leave 2 beers and 2 pop in your fridge, and that’s it. Coffee machine didn’t work and it was like pulling teeth to get a working one, phone in the room worked occasionally and was so staticky you [... read more] could barely hear, tv was of poor sound/picture quality. House keeping was minimal as well. It’s a beautiful place but definitely more of a “3 star” feeling.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Such an amazing place

The hotel staff are so outgoing and helpful. The grounds are beautifully keep and clean. The room was clean and cleaned every day. The ocean shore line and swimming area keep gorgeous. The swimming pools are pristine and alot of them. The is great and alot of choose from. A Beautiful place overall . Thanks Wendy 5 *

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Awesome Time at Majestic Colonial

We had heard great reviews about this resort from our friends. After spending a week here October 21-28, I can see why they love it so much. We had booked in the Colonial Club (Adults Only) section of the resort. When we arrived we were whisked away to a private room for check in where were served champagne and a selection of snacks. Our suite wasn’t ready until 3PM so our Butler, David, took us to the Colonial Club Lounge in the Colonial Club section of the resort. There were change ro [... read more]oms, washrooms, food, water, pop drinks and and area for us to relax or get ready to head to the pool or beach. When we got to our suite, we were pleased. Well appointed with all the amenities. From time to time during our stay there was an unpleasant smell in our suite but when we addressed it with our Butler, her had it tended to right away. The food at the resort was good/great but not outstanding. Nothing that leaves a lasting impressions. We did not get sick at all. Although at our last meal at the buffet, my husbands chicken was not fully cooked, so make sure to check for that. The beach is among the best we have ever been to. Nice beach for a long walk. This resort seems to be know for it’s weddings. There were several while we were there. The service is what sets this resort apart from the others. Nothing was ever too much to ask. Every worker you encountered from the groundskeepers to our Butler were very friendly and accommodating. Even when we registered at the buffet some morning, the hostess would ask if there was anything we needed in our room. Service is above and beyond. I would definitely recommend this resort and would love to return someday.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing Trip!

Such an amazing place! The weather was beautiful; the beach and pool were fantastic! The food was some of the best i've ever had. The restaurant MEAT had the best steak I think i've ever eaten in my life. The service was great as well, the longest you had to wait for a drink, even on a busy night, was maybe 5 minutes. You were also served on the beach and at the lobby tables by the awesome staff. The staff were the best! Derlin and Marlon to name names. Would definitely go again.

Riu Republica: Amazing Resort & Amazing Service!

My boyfriend and myself have been to this same resort twice already because we loved it so much!! We have never had a problem there as the service is always great, rooms are cleaned everyday, beach is amazing, and they have amazing food and entertainment there with the every night shows! Always something to do, water slides, ping pong, volley ball, you name it! Riu Republica has it all!!

Secrets Cap Cana: Enjoyable Stay

We really enjoyed a relaxing week and met some incredible staff.The highlight of this resort is the beach and is where the majority of our day was spent. The restaurants were great with one waiter in particular Jorge at the Seaside Grill at lunch was outstanding and ESTHER in the Coco Cafe and of course our concierge Eduar. Overall the resort met our expectations with one exception. We choose the Secrets chain as we enjoy having A la carte dinners, getting dressed up and enjoying the upscale atm [... read more]osphere. Secrets Cap Cana failed to enforce the dress code during our stay and were allowing shorts and flip flops to be worn and enter the restaurants for Dinner putting a blemish on the reputation , unfortunate but true. We would still visit again however it may impact the optics of being upscale if this continues.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Breathless left me speechless!

Immaculate upkeep. Wonderful staff. Felt extremely secure. Staff found my cell phone I left at the pool and I recovered it easily. Lifesavers! Within 5 minutes of telling someone my mini fridge broke they had installed a new one! Shout outs to Melvin at the pool bar and DJ Lex who killed it everyday!

Occidental Punta Cana: Not what we Expected!

Grounds beautiful.beach beautiful.bars horrible no consistency.availability also terrible at the beach. Would not recommend or return to this resort. Not a 4 Star. Cannot use 200 letters to describe an overpriced and low quality experience.
