Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Great resort

This resort was awesome. Very clean, very friendly people. Lots of food options. The restaurants were great. The room was the nicest room i have ever stayed in. It was definitely one of the cleanest resorts I have seen. My only complaint in the size of the whole resort. But they had shuttles to take you to the different places. Would have been nice to have things more within walking distance though. Other than that, i have zero complaints about this resort.

TRS Turquesa: Live like royalty!!

We absolutely loved our stay at TRS Turquesa! Very clean and well maintained resort. Staff were amazing and food was made with love. Everything was well organized and detailed so we felt comfortable and confident with our entire stay. This was our first trip down south so we didn't know what to expect however our trip advisor with Trip central always clarified with us. We would book with trip central again.

Whala Boca Chica: Beautiful Beaches, Differing Opinions

I personally love this resort and would return. However, the opinions of the other six people in my party vary greatly. If you’re looking to be pampered in luxury this is not the resort for you. If you’re looking for a beautiful beach and to be immersed in the local Dominican culture this resort could be what you are looking for. The local population comes to this resort on their vacations. It’s a small cove with a natural barrier, very calm and peaceful. Sand was nice to walk in, and the water was warm and clear. The local shops are plentiful. I loved being able to walk off hotel and go to shops, though I would recommend going down the road as the two immediately outside were both expensive and pushy. We brought a little USD but changed our Canadian at a Western Union beside the hotel at a fair rate. I would recommend bringing enough USD to tip on our way down and pay your $20 to leave. The rest we paid in pesos. The food was adequate, not great not terrible. The accommodations are the same — adequate. The staff was friendly and helpful. Practice common sense, don’t go off on our own. You are not on a secluded resort! We did two off-resort excursions: Blue Lagoon and a trip to Santo Domingo. The Blue Lagoon was sold as a family friendly, handicap accessible adventure and I wouldn’t consider it either. The boat ride was loud and the liquor flowed freely.. culminating with a half mile walk up a rough beach. The staff was helpful when they were informed of our limitations but it never should have been sold to us given the difficulty for all involved (staff included). The Santo Domingo tour required a decent amount of walking but was sold as such. We opted for a private tour in which we could pick and choose where to visit. The driver didn’t speak English but we picked up a tour guide in SD who did. The guide was very knowledgeable and It was an enjoyable experience. Overall, while we all enjoyed the hotel and experience, some will prefer a more traditional resort experience and should avoid this hotel. However if you want to immerse yourself in the culture and see some of the most beautiful beach in the country, I would highly recommend this property.

Ocean El Faro: GARBAGE

Never again... other than the fact that we were promised PREMIUM BAR is one of the reasons we chose this resort instead of Hard Rock....This hotel is OBVIOUSLY new as it shows with how the workers take care of things. I am now missing over $300 USD from the maid's in the room, my engagement ring as well as other jewellery Items. When we brought it to the attention of the hotel they said "Sorry sir we cannot do anything as we are not responsible" and then said "None of our staff entered your  [... read more]room"... so then who cleaned it? Thats just the start...if you don't tip GOODLUCK on getting a drink... our friend had just arrived the next day and it took him over 30 minutes to get a drink when he first checked in and the hotel was DEAD. We were okay on getting drinks cause we have already tipped over $40 USD. Half the restaurants were closed when they were being promoted as being open... on your first full day they will lie to you (the buggy drivers) and say we will take you to the beach and you end up at a lighthouse where they try up selling vacations to you... then guess what? You never see that buggy guy again (gets his commission then f***s off) Horrible experience for my birthday and I regret every dollar I spent on this place. Servers were SUPER disrespectful even at the "24 Hour Diner" that hever had no food. You feel like you asked for a million dollars when you ask for french fries. On our last night we wanted to get a snack after their shitty disco and the guy said no food left but then the chef called us over privately and asked what we would like to eat.... I can keep going on about this place but there's no point. They dont respect you or your money. They need another 10 years of building..... And be CAREFUL on the "private beach" that they promote

Occidental Caribe: Great value

Rooms are good Ocean view beautiful. Food was fantastic although at nicer restaurants could wait up to 45 min between courses. Beach and pool areas beautiful and most staff were lovely. Wish there had been some variety of music by pool. Same stuff over and over. All boom boom boom Alcohol not very high standards but I suppose that is the same for most all Inclisives. Grounds very clean. On the whole a good resort for the price!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Amazing resort!

Everything was great! Food is delicious and rooms are spacious and clean! Variety of activities for everyone, kids enjoyed their stay so much. A la carte restaurants are amazing and the overall service is great!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Will definitely go back!

The level of service from the front desk to the house keeping ..dinning staff and beach bar was phenomenal... it was our first visit to Dominican and this hotel blew our expectations right out of the water!! The resort is beautifully manicured and so clean.. the food was exceptional and the beach was beautiful.. can’t wait to take our children back next year! Thank you to all the amazing staff at the grand Bahia Principe for making our week!! See you soon

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great staff, clean pools

I enjoyed the resort, it was very relaxing. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and the staff was very hospitable. I would definitely return. The only thing i did not like was the amount of people ON the resort that approached me to sell goods and were very persistent to the point of me feeling harassed. Other than that it was a nice trip

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: great resort with very welcome staff

We loved our large and clean room. The resort was perfect - beautiful beach and pool . We celebrate our son birthday and the staff were absolute amazing with all the room decorations . At the french restaurant they really make our evening memorable . We would love to return for a longer stay.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Great resort

The CHIC Punta Cana was a fun/entertaining type of resort. Always lively and the team works very hard for you. I really liked it. The food was top quality but apparently they changed management and the quality of service and level of alcohol that people were used to the previous year was not there. The service was slower than usual in the restaurants and bars.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Best Resort in Dominican for Couples

The hotel was gorgeous upon first stepping foot inside for our honeymoon, the service is topnotch and genuinely given by the wonderful staff which strive to make your visit that much more special and enjoyable. Rooms were always kept clean along with the facilities, every day our room was decorated with different arrangements to keep our stay welcoming along with the delicious chocolates and beverages in our mini fridge. The shampoo and other cleaning products were very nice for our hair and skin. The food was the least of our concerns during the whole vacation because of the great reviews my wife and I read before deciding, gluten free was an important aspect because she is Celiac which is a serious allergy to gluten so that kind of care and attention was vital. They delivered, she didn't seem to have any reactions or symptoms. Food was plentiful and delicious, the amenities like the pools and volleyball, ping pong, numerous open hut type areas where you could lay by the beach and enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean was wonderful. I highly recommend Iberostar, it's left such a good impression that we will choose this hotel establishment at other future destinations abroad.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing resort

The hotel was beautiful, clean, and spotless. The staff were very good and very helpful. The butler service was just amazing. We received turndown service most nights. They celebrate your special occasion with you and make you feel special. The pools are clean and well taken care of. The beach is okay for a man made beach.

We just returned home October 13th, we were a group of eight, five adults and three kids ages 3, 7, and 11. Beautiful detailed hotel, new fresh contemporary decor, the lobby is like a natural history museum with a giant whale skeleton and sharks and corals in picture boxes, also air conditioning, a first for us in the Caribbean. Check in was quick, efficient and we had all our requests granted, one minor room change done same day, just a bedding arrangement issue. The rooms are air conditioned n [... read more]icely and the bed was super comfortable. Everything worked well in all three rooms. Bar stocking was a minor issue, water and pop stocked but not always beer. Food was good and no reservations needed for a la cartes and lots to choose from, although in low season they rotate what is open, but there was always good food available. The coffee shop is a great touch, delicious coffees, lattes and cold drinks and desserts available. Bowling was fun, they even have a ramp for little kids. Lazy river and pools and kids waterpark were always clean. Lazy river was fun, sometimes a minute or two wait for tubes. Entertainment was just ok, sometimes planned events were not existent or cancelled. Sometimes in the buffet at breakfast it was near impossible to get service for coffee or drinks, thank goodness for self serve mimosa bar and juice. Staff was generally kind and would say hello when passing. We didn’t get hassled too much from the time share people. Beach was rough, beautiful golden sand and clean, lots of chairs but not really swimmable and was red flagged 5/7 days, there’s a lagoon to the left of the hotel beach which was calmer and good for a swim. We found service to be good 70% of the time, sometimes we got our meals at the a la cartes quick and efficient other times we felt completely ignored...all in all it was a great vacation and we felt completely safe. I’d go back again if the price was right. Jenn Black handled our group, our requests, our many phone calls, rectified an issue we had with air Canada vacations quickly and efficiently, put in for an upgrade for our group and it was honoured..we’ve used her services many times, and appreciate her knowledge and professionalism...we even booked another trip through her while poolside at this resort..the wifi worked well every where!!

Ocean El Faro: Great resort

Overall great hotel with lots to do for all ages. Pros: Wifi throughout, lazy river and pools, many restaurant options and spacious rooms. Cons: service was ok. Most days we got great service, but some room for improvement

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful resort.

Everything is so well maitained, the grounds, rooms. Pools and restaurants. We loved the staff as they are friendly and helpful. Lots to eat and drink and plenty to do I felt safe walking around the grounds but remained cautious when my husband was not with me.

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Not a 5* hotel

Food was decent, especially the Brazilian a la carte with all the different BBQ'd meats! The buffets were not air conditioned here so you're eating in the heat. The grounds were decent, but there are several dead trees that need to be cut down. All the different types of birds were a really nice touch! The beach has lots of rocks so bring water shoes. We walked two resorts down and the beach was amazing. The man made reef was great for snorkeling IF you have a clear day/water at the beach. [... read more] Lots of shade available at the beach. The rooms are only a 2*. They are sooooo outdated and bathtub was very dirty. No headboard, no pictures, tv extremely small, lamps had mold on them, air cond worked well though. There are also lots of mosquitoes here so bring bug spray, we won't return for this reason. The MJ show was excellent. Pool side entertainment was decent. Sunsets are great. The front lobby staff didn't even say bye or thanks for vacationing with us :(

Riu Republica: Great Resort

I booked this resort for my fiance’s Bday and she loved it.. the place is great. Its clean and the staff is super friendly. The entertainment staff makes a great effort to keep everybody entertained with amazing events. We loved the neon party and the pool party. They made special effort decorating our room. The only thing I would love to have improvement is the liqour brands which is still not a deal breaker.

Excellence El Carmen: Amazing resort!!

The resort was outstanding! Everything was so clean and well kept. The food & service were both great! We were there for our honeymoon and they took such great care of us. We highly recommend this resort and will definitely be going back.

TRS Turquesa: Nice resort Relaxing holiday

Hotel grounds beautiful and well maintained. We had a swim out room and loved it. Our room was clean but could use some paint, updating and had a few maintenance issues. Food to us was not the best but we always found something to eat. Italian and the steak house El Dorado were very disappointing. A large number of staff spoke english which was a plus.
