Las Brisas Huatulco: Fun in the Sun!

Excellent Hotel, lots of activities. Very large resort, just be prepared to get some steps in. Nice staff, good food and lots of choices. Had a small issue with first room AC wasn’t pumping out cold enough air and quickly were changed to another room.

Cozumel Palace: wonderful resort

We loved Everything about this resort. The food, the location, but most of all the amazing staff. They are always happy and smiling and make this resort!! Great service all around. The shows were fun and the entertainment staff are great at getting folks involved.

Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres: Overall great, outstanding room!

While this hotel still has growing pains to settle, overall we had a great experience. ROOMS: amazing! We were in a loft suite and this was a game changer with a baby. We knew we would be spending allot of time there so having the 2 floors meant we could still enjoy the room while the baby was sleeping. The resport is really big, takeout wasn’t an option and we had a baby that needed to sleep. This lack of flexibility was super inconvenient. BEACH was good, never a problem getting chairs, waiter service was good as well. POOLS: baby loved the kids pool. It was the perfect size for her and she enjoyed the different jets. Water was warm as well. The beach pool was nice, quiet and warm. It was a nice depth as well. Again, good waiter service. Lots of chairs. SPA treatments were good and the healthy bar has good smoothies. OVERALL: we enjoyed the resort. It was new, clean, great personable staff. We did find the service quite inconsistent, at times rigid and a lack of communication amongst staff. For example, sometimes we could bring our stroller on the boat, sometimes not, laundry wasn’t picked up (night staff hadn’t communicated), we weren’t given the imperial club perks until we asked and even then, we were told diff things as to how to apply them. When we arrived just after after 11pm with a young child they told us of we wanted to eat we had to walk or take the golf cart 10 mins away for a sit down meal. No room service, no snacks and no takeout. Seemed very rigid. We were also promised a room change on day 3 when it was available but it was then given to someone else. The boat and golf cart services were also not reliable and consistent. Some nights there were mosquitoes so bug spray is useful. These were all pretty minor inconveniences but meant we spent more time at reception than we wanted. Overall, great resort!

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Ultimate Comfort and Care

Having stayed in several hotels of this category in the Riviera Maya region, I can confirm that Secrets Maroma offers the best service. The staff are extremely caring, pleasant and always ready to help. They pay a lot of attention to little things, which makes all the difference. The rooms are immaculate, comfortable and very large. The food in the specialty restaurants is excellent. Excellent variety also at the breakfast and lunch buffet. The beach is magnificent, the most beautiful in the reg [... read more]ion, no rocks, powdery white sand, with lounge chairs equipped with cushions and palapas for all. Evening entertainment is worthy of note, each evening a show is offered and sometimes a show and a small intimate concert by the sea the same evening! In brief, if you are looking for a place to be pampered in ultimate comfort, I recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Fabulous experience

Just returned from a fabulous week spent at the Riu Palace Isla Mujeres in Cancun...it was a trip that we will never forget, the hotel was fabulous, ultra modern, so clean... The staff work tirelessly keeping it spotless, hotel amenities all wonderful, food was spectacular, staff friendly, a very relaxing wonderful resort for young and old....highly recommend this resort, beaches were fabulous and the bar service at the pools and beach were wonderful

Krystal Puerto Vallarta: Great Resort!

The grounds are fabulous, hard-working staff keeps it that way. We found the staff very obliging and friendly. The food was good, lots of variety, loved morning omelettes cooked fresh on the grill. I particularly liked our accommodation in Bldg #9, right on the ocean! Looking out at the beach from the patio, seeing the parachutes landing on the sand, watching all the boats coming and going, the lighted boat shooting fireworks nightly, was a wonderful routine. They did have good entertainment, but they didn’t list them on the activity board.

Atelier Playa Mujeres: Very Nice Resort

Having read earlier reviews we were concerned about long restaurant line-ups and difficulty finding loungers at the pool. Fortunately for us neither issue was a problem. This may be partly due to a relatively low occupancy rate (roughly 35% during our week stay in late January). The resort is absolutely beautiful and very tastefully decorated. Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great Vacation

Resort was great! There are monkey's roaming around which is cool. The rooms were very good, modern, spacious. There are 5 pools - party pools, quiet pool, kids pool etc. Something for everyone. Liked the layout, very easy to get around the resort. Beach area was crowded so get up early if you want a chair by the beach area. Japanese restaurant was awesome!!!! Nightly entertainment was good, overall had nothing to complain about. There was also mixed messages about what you get - one guy said discounts on outings, other said no. Supposed to get top shelf liquor but asked one guy for grey goose and he said you would have to pay for that??? Would probably do a swim up vs whirlpool on balcony as you have to fill them and the water pressure is slow, we only used it once so was not really worth it but still cool. We also had one in the room so it wasn't really necessary to have one outside. Food was good, but make sure to go earlier than when you want to eat as sometimes it takes up to an hour for a table, especially for a larger group. Although we went to one at 7 and got right in, so depends on the night, Italian seemed to be very popular, always a line up. Buffet was good, had no issues finding anything to eat. Overall - really loved it, would go back!

Krystal Puerto Vallarta: Krystal Vallarta - Nice beach and nice staff

The grounds were always very well kept and very clean. We enjoyed walking on the different paths leading to the beach and the beach restaurant. The beach is quite big so nere is no crowding. The staff is very nice, very attentive to our needs and always ready to please their customers. The rooms in the Hotel Tower2 are very modern and the ocean view was quite a sight. Overall, we had a very nice stay at this hotel.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico: Amazing grounds, rooms, food and drink!

Going to keep the review specific. As someone who looks at so many reviews before travelling, I like to hit the highlights! 1. Before going: I got in touch with guest services (via email) to book my restaurant and tour reservations 3 weeks prior to arriving. I read many reviews that said many restaurants were booked up when they arrived, and this completely eliminated all worries. 2. Rooms: beautiful, adequately supplied...beer, soda, water, nespresso pods, snacks of all kinds, tooth [... read more]brushes, toothpaste, shaving kit, magnifying mirror, slippers, beach tote...truly all the things you would ever hope for. Rooms were cleaned twice a day and stocked every day without fail. 3. Restaurants: buffet was great...we make it a habit to try not to eat at the buffets, but this one was an exception. The buffet area is large with multiple stations...always fresh fruit, salads, raw bar, charcuterie station (great meats, cheeses and bread along with all accompaniments), Mexican favourites of all sorts, grilling station, ice cream and desert bar, smoothie bar, tequila and mescal station...and other changes daily. Las Playas beach restaurant and bar...fantastic for lunch...lobster tostadas, tuna tartar, casear salads, fresh fish and ceviches, as well as burgers and ribs. great cocktail list as well. Come late at night and swing at the bar with a cocktail, scotch or beer. CANTINA LOS FAROLES, Mexican steak house is more funky Mexican fusion and great bar that turns into a dance club at 11pm. Las Cuevas, gorgeous ambiance for a brazilian style steakhouse (meat on skewers passed around)...service was great, but the food was only ok. Good to go for the experience. La Trajinera...supposed to be the seafood restaurant, but we went for breakfast lunch and dinner and were not impressed. Food was bland. XIN-GAO...went for the Teppanyaki and the fusion menu...both were amazing. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service was exceptional. For the fusion menu, order a little of everything as the portions are small. TEATRO DEL RíO; went to the Caribbean and Mexican shows...the food is OK but the service was inconsistent. We did not visit any other restaurants. Overall the food is very good, but the service, however good, was not personable or seemed genuine. BARS: Lobby bar, open all day, serves all the usual suspects as well as top notch cocktails, scotches and even specialty coffee drinks. The have a piano player around 6:45pm, then a jazz or rock group that plays till about 11pm. Pool bar, I think there are at least 4 of these, but we only went to the one in the main infinity pool. It gets pretty crazy in the afternoon as you would expect. We typically would have our 1st drink of the day there, hang in the pool for a while, then take off to the beach. Las Playas: attached to the restaurant, is also a stand alone bar. Igunas: pop up bar by the beach chairs. Shout out to Viktor, who made us some amazing cocktails out of his limited supply of ingredients. he definitely provided the best bar "experience" CANTINA LOS FAROLES; there is an upstairs "sports bar", but it is a bit dingy. The best place to be late night is downstairs under the lanterns. The guys work pretty hard here keeping everyone in beverages. There are also pop up bars in various places throughout the resort. POOL: get there early to get a spot with sun for the day. Only one corner seems to get sun, and the water is very cold. It is a pretty pool, but poorly designed for maximum usage. BEACH: a lot of people complained about the beach, and that there was none...there are 3 beaches, with turquoise water and soft sand. There is also full bar service to all chairs. The water can be dangerous at times, so be careful when going in. Lagoon: perfect if you want to stare at turquoise water, jungle foliage and waterfalls while getting served tasty drinks, only feet away from all amenities of the hotel. The wind stays of the lagoon for a calm, serene experience. Be sure to wander around for cave hammocks, hidden alcoves, paddle boards and kayaks. One thing would help: MORE WASHROOMS!!! Good luck if you really gotta go!!

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Wonderful and Relaxing Resort - You couldn’t ask for more!

This was our second trip to this wonderful resort and we are considering returning next fall for our third. It has everything you could desire. You can exercise daily, relax by the pool or beach, participate in yoga, volleyball, Pilates, spa, pool exercises, paddle boards, snorkel, etc. It’s your choice to do whatever you want. Occidental Cozumel: Not bad

The resort is beautiful, nice and small and the rooms were very nice, it's clean and the beach is beautiful too...the food was not the best and it was very repetitive ....most of the staff were very nice but I found the lady who checked us in was cold and unhelpful and the whole time we were there she was always the same , cold and unhelpful...the other thing is it was extremely hard to have our money exchanged, we had bigger peso bills or US dollars w us but the resort hardly ever had smaller b [... read more]ills of pesos...also the fact that there was no wifi unless we paid a lot of money for it made it almost impossible to keep in touch w family at home...my husband and I still managed to enjoy ourselves as the weather was beautiful but we would not go back or recommend it to family and friends. Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Amazing Resort!

This is the second time to Iberostar Paraiso Beach and I will definitely be back. My wife and I visited in April 2019 and January 2020. Buffet was great, ala carte restaurants were great, pools are huge and fun, or relaxing depends on what pool you are at. The grounds are large but easy to get around with the golf carts that pick you up. 15 minutes to Playa Del Carmen

Riu Caribe Cancun: beautiful resort

we had a great time at the Riu couldn't ask for anything better the rooms were very spacious and the whole resort was spotless the food was outstanding and the beach was beautiful the only disappointment was the balcony we had an oceanview room and the balconies are very small triangular shaped, but the outstanding view made up for it would I come back to this resort? any time

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Great staff

Had a great time, the staff was amazing, knowledgable and helpful. special kudos to Ignazia at the front desk. The buffet could have offered more vegetarian choices besides salads, potatoes, rice and beans. the grounds were kept spotless as was the pool area and beach. The servers were all so pleasant and attentive.

Crown Paradise Club: Great resort for families

This resort was wonderful for families. Lots of amenities for the kids including waterpark, playground, pools, beach access. It was very easy to get into town and explore what else Puerto Vallarta offers by bus or taxi. Staff was always very friendly and helpful with any of our needs or requests/questions. They offer a family room with bunk beds for children. These rooms are more costly but aren't any bigger. In fact, the bunk bed area is taken from the space where the balcony would norma [... read more]lly be so there's only a very small balcony. Also all family rooms are facing a street which can get noisy. The regular rooms have larger balconies and a lot of them face the gardens or pools. If I was returning, I would put my two kids in a regular room and have them share one of the double beds. We were stuck eating at the buffet all week which didn't have the greatest food. The a la carte restaurants have restrictions for when or if kids can join and all require nice clothing.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Awesome resort

Beautiful, clean hotel. Rooms a generous size. Staff very accommodating. Food very good. Al a carte restaurants good. Service staff excellent but time to get good a little slow. Nice to have the shopping adjacent to the hotel. Highly recommend this resort
