Paradisus Varadero: older structre, beautiful grounds/beach

Nicest beach in that area. Other nearby resorts are separated from the beach by a strip of vegetation (wood) therefore blocking the view to the beach. Great view from Paradisus even from inside lobby.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: All around amazing

We stayed at the paradises d'oro in January during a week of miserable. This was not the hotels fault. Even the weather was not good we had an amazing vacation. We upgrading into the bungalows with outside showers. Worth every penny. Our first stay in Cuba and because of the five star service and all around value for your money we will be returning. Staff are wonderful. Food is fabulous.

Melia Marina Varadero: excellent, staff was so accomodating

Grounds were really clean, beach was great, food was excellent at buffet al a carte restaurant was not as good, we would reccomend this resort, and we plan to attend this resort again, We stayed in the marina apartments, but they were too far from pool and buffet

Melia Marina Varadero: Relaxing holiday

We recently stayed at the Melia Marina Varadero. The hotel is still fairly new (less than a year old) so it was quite nice. It had a nautical theme through out. Our room was located on the 4th floor and overlooked the marina....which was nice. I also thought the view from the pool side was very nice. The rooms were clean and spacious and had a very large separate shower! Because the hotel was new, the grounds weren't quite as lush as most places we have visited...but they were working on them. I [... read more]'m sure in a couple of years the vegetation will have grown quite a bit. The pool was very large with a kiddie (shallow) area at one end and the swim up bar on the other side. We actually stayed at the beach most of the day. The beach was absolutely stunning!! Loved the calm, crystal clear warm water. We always found a palapa to sit under...but the hotel was not full to capacity during our stay. I have to say the food was my biggest negative....and at the buffet it was never hot. We did try a couple of a la carte restaurants which were definitely better than the buffet. Overall I thought the hotel was nice and would probably recommend it to people if they improved on the food.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: a great time

the hotel was great .amazing big and not crazy busy for most of the trip .weather was great beach was great .and the service amazing. we were tended to every 10 minutes max.the rooms were clean and see inviting . my favorite part was free coconuts in the morning .

Melia Cayo Coco: loved this resort

Food selection was great as was the food quality. Grounds were clean and beautiful. Loved going for walks..... staff were very helpful and always pleasant. Plenty of activities day and night. Never a dull moment.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Old but beautiful

Spent two weeks there apon arrival was upset with transit there plane issue an spent 6 hours in air port an 4 hours on bus was not happy with room when arrived but was quickly fixed by our rep Jorge with air transit had an amazing two weeks there people were wonderful William in the buffet hall is an amazing server an yanara cooked the best eggs an chicken at the grill all in all I was there two weeks an didn't want to leave when time come would recommend this place to anyone .

Paradisus Punta Cana: Outstanding

We found this resort to be outstanding. Check out the little Casino it pays.We would go back to Paradisus Punta Cana as the value was surely there.We stayed there in March and had fabulous weather.Not having to mark beach chairs is a plus at this fine resort.

Melia Las Dunas: Beautiful Resort

This was our first trip to Cuba and we were anxious on what to expect. This resort surpassed our expectations. It was beautiful, clean, and grounds well maintained. All the staff were friendly, easy to talk with and helpful, esp the first day finding our way around. It is a large resort so expect to do some walking. Walking did not bother us because we were on holidays and in no rush to go anywhere. The pools were big and lots of chairs so finding a place to sit was not a problem. The bars were  [... read more]always close by to top up our drinks. The food was good and we enjoyed our 'a la carte '. They have the best cappuccino ! We had no problem with anything in the room, and no bugs. A couple things we were a bit disappointed in was that the resort was down a long causeway and mopeds were not allowed off the causeway. We also thought the excursions were a bit pricey for what we got. It was a relaxing holiday and would go back. Thank you to staff and management at Melia Las Dunas.

Memories Cayo Largo: Loved it!

Absolutely the best place we have stayed in Cuba. The resort was great - easy to get to being 5 minutes from the airport. Beach was fantastic (a little choppy at times). Surprisingly the food was good too with lots of choice. Definitely go back there.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Fabulous resort!

Been to the Dominican several times and the Melia Caribe is the best so far! The grounds are lush with tropical birds everywhere and the service was outstanding. There were a variety of restaurants, and food was delicious! And best of all, close to the airport! Would absolutely recommend this resort!

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: A Resort on the way up

This was the third time we visited this resort. We noticed this time there have been some major changes. The grounds are improving with more care of the landscape. The rooms are improved with a better quality of beds and a lot of painting has taken place. The staff has maintained its friendliness but there are many new faces. The front desk is very helpful and courteous. The beach has been kept clean and the the palm trees are being maintained. Great value for our Canadian dollar.

Sol Cayo Santa Maria: Nice Resort!

Nice stay at this resort, simple, small & intimate resort. The staff at this resort is what makes your stay so special. The food was so so but then again it is Cuba. We didn't get sick which is the main important thing. The beach absolutely amazing!

Melia Buenavista: Amazing Vacation

This was our first time to Cuba and Melia Buenavista and it was more than we expected! Food was fantastic, staff are so friendly and resort itself was perfect! We are planning on going back this year!

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great Beach

Resort was undergoing construction & our room was quite near the mess, but it should be finished by now. Lovely beach, good food, good entertainment, nice pools and activities - we enjoyed our stay very much, despite construction noise.

Melia Marina Varadero: Best Resort in Cuba

The resort was very beautiful, large, bright, fresh flowers and very clean. The grounds were well kept, the pool was good size and the hot tub. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food at the buffet had a great selection and was very tasteful.

Melia Las Dunas: great resort for sun, sand and entertainment

Great first time experience at this ocean side resort. Went solo and everything went very well. Room, service and amenities were all great and value was unbeatable. Lots to choose from for food although a bit down in quality at times.

Melia Las Antillas: Beautiful resort, not so good food

My boyfriend and I stayed at melia las antillas from May 13-20. The resort itself and beach were beautiful, and we upgraded our room which was very nice. However, we felt pressured by the staff to tip in order to be served and the food caused my boyfriend to be sick for 3 days :( Overall I would not return to this resort because food is a very important aspect of a vacation for me.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Fantastic Experience!

The grounds of the resort were immaculate! Staff took much pride in keeping this slice of paradise beautiful. The staff were attentive and service was always with a smile. We took the tour to Havana and experienced the Tropicana....I recommend this tour if you like to immerse yourself in the culture and history of places travelled. One day wasn't enough. Next time we would love to participate in a travel duo and split out vacation between two resorts in Cuba. We would return to the Melia Peninsu [... read more]la for sure!!

Melia Las Antillas: great time

had an amazing time there. The staff as always were personable and pleasant and I will come back again and again. I have been here 3 times and have recommended the Melia Las Antilles to friends and co-workers.
