Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: CHFI Dreams Punta Cana Trip

The hotel grounds are beautiful. This is the first resort we have been to which has brief, interesting descriptions about the plants, flamingos and gold fish. A very nice touch. Jesus, reception staff, was very helpful and courteous. Once checked in and in our room I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call telling us our luggage was on the way. The lounge itself was great in that it served as a quite place to relax outside of the hotel room. Wait staff were friendly. Emilia Reyes, housekeeping, always had a big smile and a hello. We certainly have no complaints as far as the cleanliness of our room is concerned. The food was good. We had some exceptional meals; sea bass at lunch at Oceania, Japanese and Portifino, where the sommelier was helpful with our wine selection.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Family Friendly Hotel

The people here are friendly, helpful and very accommodating to kids. Resort is a little older but kept very clean. The food was very good and lots of kid foods that children like. Loved the free WIFI throughout the hotel. The pools were a lot of fun. The water park looked like fun but that ended up being the biggest disappointment for us. We brought two grandchildren, both girls, one eight and the other six years old. The sisters are very close and always play together. When we arrived at the w [... read more]ater park we were told the eight year old could only use the adult side of the water park and the younger could only use the toddler area. It was based on a height requirement. They would not let them stay together even when I very nicely asked if they could be together on either side. We were refused. That was unfortunate as the water park was one of the biggest reasons we chose this resort.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Awesome Resort!!

The grounds are immaculate and extremely well Kept; they are mowing and racking on a daily basis; the room was clean and well kept; they even turn you bed down at night (that was nice). Oh my Gosh the Staff; (awesome, extremely friendly staff) we were well catered too; (Loved the attention and service received) it was service with a bid hearty smite. Staff was very attentive. Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Amazing resort!

The grounds were just beautiful and our room was so much more than we expected! The outside Jacuzzi and bed were a nice addition to our stay and everything was very clean. We were lucky to be close to the beach and we took advantage of the Seaside Restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The two dinners we had there were also excellent. We were not impressed with the Main Buffet or the Italian Restaurant. However the Japanese Restaurant was great! We did the Teppanyaki and our chef Alex was th [... read more]e best! A side note, I would advise anyone with severe allergies to be very careful as it seemed the restaurant staff was sometimes confused with the paper we gave them regarding my nut allergy. That made me feel a bit uneasy. Overall, we would definitely recommend this resort! We miss it already!

Riu Republica: Beautiful Hotel but not 5 Star status

- The room we had was not in the first complex so we did have to do quite a bit of walking, which was unfortunate. We were grateful that they had elevators - Our room was quite large and cleaned regularly. - The hotel is certainly gorgeous in regards to decor - The food was standard of an all inclusive. One unfortunate thing was everywhere we went the dishes were dirty. I had to continually look through the stacks to find clean ones, some of the cups were chipped, tables were not wiped  [... read more]off, etc. - The resort is obviously understaffed in regards to the dining aspects - This resort seemed to be more geared to "very young adults" as their drunkenness was out of control. One young adult threw up in one of the pools while others could barely stand. - The beach is not a private beach. It was extremely small and dirty. Since it is the Atlantic there were high waves (the red flag was up for quite a few days), you could not swim in it, nor snorkel in it so we stayed by one of the quieter pools for our trip. Many people we spoke to suffered from injuries from the waves, many had back braces, arms in slings, knee braces, etc. The undertow was very strong and dangerous. - Smoking was certainly an issue especially in the lounge and show areas. We could not sit out on our balcony either because we had smokers on each side of us - The shows were very good - the best that I have seen at an all inclusive - The staff were very friendly and helpful While we did have a lovely time, we won't consider visiting this resort again in the future. We would prefer a smaller more intimate resort with good walk ability, a better beach and one that is for couples to ensure that we are not surrounded by a younger partying crowd. While the decor is certainly 5 star, we felt that the overall resort was a 4 - 4.5 star.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Beautiful resort

Great place. It's still developing but they have made it awesome. They try to up sell the package there but you can say no. Great value for what it is. We went downtown. It was safe. People are friendly. Walked the beach. Again friendly people.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Wonderful resort, airport and air transat terrible

Beautiful resort! Friendly service! Fun spots and lots of quiet relaxing areas too! Rooms were comfortable and clean. Unfortunately extremely long lineups at the airport would influence our decision to go back.

Grand Palladium Palace: Hard to get service

Language barrier was a huge issue throughout the whole stay. Went for a friends wedding. There wasn't enough chairs at the reception. At the restaurant after the wedding there wasn't enough chairs as well. Very hard to communicate due to very little English of the staff to get anything fixed. It was hard to get a coffee in the morning at breakfast. When the rooms were cleaned it really varied for what they restocked you with. One day they refilled the facecloths, the next they would replace the  [... read more]bath towels, but they would take away all of the dirty linen so you would be left without face towels until whenever they decided to put them in your room next. Knowing French will help you at this location as you get further with French then with English.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Fantastic People and Place

I just wanted to start off this review by mentioning the fact that this was my wife and I’s first ever all-inclusive vacation at a southern resort. We were very impressed by how the grounds were maintained and with the overall appearance of the resort. The dedication and professionalism of the staff had a considerable influence on our overall experience. The entire staff was very friendly and extremely courteous, which resulted in exceptional service. We would like to make mention of a few mem [... read more]bers who stood out during our stay… we were never left wanting for something at the buffet thanks to our server Emilio; Carlos from pool maintenance went out of his way to find us lounge chairs, a table and umbrella and set them up for us at our location of choice near the pool everyday; Super Luis from the entertainment team always kept us well informed of what was going on and we shared many laughs with him during our time at the resort; and lastly Eliezer from VIP services who made us feel welcome at the resort and ensured we were continuously enjoying our stay. The food was great; we ate at a different a la carte restaurant each night and even revisited a couple that we particularly enjoyed (Seaside Grill & Portofino). We had breakfast at the buffet everyday and were very impressed with the endless food options. The evening shows put on by the entertainment team were very enjoyable and some were even outstanding. The only complaint my wife and I had was that the quality of and view from our room in building 9 was lackluster. I wanted to add, the service we received from our travel agent Marnie Slavic was excellent. She took care of everything for us and gladly answered the many questions we had as first-time vacationers. We would highly recommend this resort and would visit again.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Great Resort but needs a little love!

The grounds were very well maintained at Dreams Punta Cana, including the public bathrooms. The employees work really hard to keep all food and toilet areas clean. The staff was very pleasant and worked hard too. From our perspective, the room we had was run down. The sliding door did not work properly, the shower head kept falling (did not stay upright) and the room could have been kept cleaner in the bathroom. The room looked tired and worn out. Needs updating and fixing. As well, we got [... read more] a room with an adjoining door. It felt like the other couple was in our room it was so loud.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: 5 star all the way

This was our first time in Punta Cana and I have to say that this resort was beyond amazing. The food in every restaurant was great. The staff here goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The Pool is the largest I have ever seen, it just keep going and going. The nightly shows where packed full all the time. Never a dull moment here. Each day it seemed like we found a new part of the resort. I would HIGHLY recommend Dreams Punta Cana to everyone (oh wait I have been)

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: chic punta cana!! Did not disappoint

hotel is very clean and modern, very upbeat hotel great staff!! Food is very good although buffet needs to offer more variety, unlimited sit down restaurants and no reservation required very nice perk food very good. Lobby bar is very happening during the evening all bartenders great!!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Excellent resort!

The service in this hotel is second to none. Many employees make an effort to remember guests and their preferences and we never waited for either food or drinks in any of the buffets in Esmeralda...although the buffet at the main lobby was a bit of a different story. The pools are immaculate and the groundskeepers work very hard to ensure everything looks pristine. The room was spacious and well stocked and the housekeeping staff took very good care of us. We did not eat at any a la carte r [... read more]estaurants because the quality and variety of foods at the buffets were awesome! The only drawback is that it is not right in town so we were not able to venture off the resort other than an excursion which did not allow much interaction with the local people.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: A Wonderful Week Away In The Sun!

Just back from our second trip to Now Onyx in Punta Cana. This resort is top shelf with excellent staff and service, amazing food and pristine beaches. Great for kids - especially the Explorer's Kids Club. Katy & Leidy are amazing with the children! Also wanted to recognize Estefani, Miguel and Danny for excellent pool side drink service! You won't be disappointed with this resort.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Beautiful resort

Third time a the Colonial. 2 weeks of excellent service and accommodations. We did the up-grade with butler service which was well worth the extra. Food is good. Recommend the French restaurant Le Gourmet. Superior cuisine. Mexican is also good. Entertainment average. But all in all a magnificent beach, lots of cheerful service. The pools are not over crowded and beautiful. The rooms clean, nicely maintained and comfortable. Special compliments to Jacob and Rinaldo our butlers over the 2 weeks.

Occidental Caribe: Do it your way

This was our second visit so we knew what to expect. If you are able to overlook some imperfections this is a good resort. The beach is great. We liked the layout of the resort with quite areas, and not so quite areas, day and night. There are lots of activities for all ages and lots of places just to relax. There are guests from all over, many families and kids. The food is good, no need to go hungry. Don't expect 5 star meals. If you have food allergies learn how to say so in Spanish. T [... read more]he hotel was good enough to let us change rooms twice. The first room was noisy on weekends from the live band in the lobby. The second was inundated with sounds from the restaurants. If you like to hit the sack before midnight you should arrange for a quiet place room when booking. The inconvenience of moving can be avoided. We needed some repairs in our washroom which they fixed promptly. All in all we like the resort. 3.5 to 4 stars

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: clean resort

Clean, friendly and helpful staff always smiling, awesome a la cartes! We had water damage in our room (ground floor and 2nd floor shower was draining into our room - shower/bathtub area, wall and hallway) the maintenance guy called the front desk to explain and put me on the phone with reception and they offered an upgraded suite for our last two days for the inconvenience which was very impressive. Two people that I would like to mention as part of the Entertainment team is Fanny and Hap [... read more]py, happy - they were both amazing, smiling all the time and worked long hours to include all guests and make us all feel welcome!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Resort, But lacking

Grounds, rooms, pool and beach were very well kept and clean. Most of the staff were very good. Friendly, courteous and maids did a great job cleaning the room. Because of the food, I, my wife and our co-travelers all agreed that the resort was definitely not deserving of a 5 star rating. I have been to 5 star resorts before and I could always choose a steak at evening dinner and give it to the cook at the buffet to cook or heat up. This was not available at this resort. On 2 occasions, there [... read more] was no bacon left by 09:30 and if there was some left on other days, there were only small pieces. There was no bottled water at the pool, beach or in the buffet. You were only given water in a cheap flimsy plastic glass. Because of the food, I would give this resort a 4 or 4.5 star at best.

Zoetry Agua Punta Cana: Amazing resort!

Zoetry is an amazing resort for anyone who wants to relax. It has a spa like atmosphere, with beautiful lush grounds dotted with thatched roof buildings. The rooms are beautiful and immaculate, the food is amazing and the staff are extremely accommodating. A 5 star experience in every way.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Wonderfull resort

The hotel was very clean, never missed a towel or anything. Food very good. The ground was very clean and the hotel staff were very nice and polite. It was very nice that we could also enjoy some of the facilities of the Royalton Hotel. Also it was so easy to get to the beach with the train transportation between both hotel.
