Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Good

Be Live I think is a little like a hidden gem. Upgrading to VIP is essential...they treat you like royalty. Service was great at the bars, service at the restaurants could have been better. The time share salesmen are a bit much but we just kept saying “no thank you”. The Mediterranean restaurant was great as well as the Mexican. The steakhouse was not good....I think being Canadian we get used to AAA beef. The pools are beautiful. The beach was not the nicest but a short walk up the  [... read more]coast and the beach was amazing. The rooms are beautiful....especially the Adult Master Suite...doubles sinks, jet tub, huge walk in shower....really nice. Room service was exceptional.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Very nice resort

This was the second time to Memories Splash. My family enjoyed the pools, water park and the beach was amazing. We knew going down that the floors are slippery so be careful. The service and food were good however the service and food at Royalton(which we paid extra for) was excellent. I would go back to this resort but would stay at the Royalton as everything seems better there. The value at Memories is very good.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Fantastic Resort

My wife an I really enjoyed our time at this resort. The staff was friendly and very helpful for anything you needed. The rooms were in very good condition and kept very clean by the staff. The food was some of the best I have had at a resort and I really liked there no reservation policy it made it very easy to have dinner at the specialty restaurants. Overall it was one of our more enjoyable vacations.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Needs improvement

The hotel is a great size. Everything is close and there is no need for shuttles which is nice. We had a Diamond club swim out room that was nice. The swim out pools were much colder than the regular pool for some reason. Many guests didn’t stay in them long for that reason. The swim out rooms are not maintained well. Things are worn. They are spacious though. Our Butler was not the greatest. Could have done without him all he did was book us dinners. We found out later that there were many [... read more] other things we were entitled to and did not know. Probably would not go diamond club next time if we went back. Paid a lot for someone to book me dinners. We were in the diamond club lounge and asked for a liquor. It did not taste right. Asked the server to get a new bottle to compare, we were surprised to fine the new bottle that was opened in front of us tasted as it should, the other bottle had been refilled with a cheaper liquor that was not the premium liquor we expected. We spoke to the bar supervisor and he confirmed the taste difference but had no answers. Simply apologized. It is a scam hoping guests don’t know. It happened with a few different liquors. Bad business!

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Beautiful resort and great service!

Loved the grounds, buildings and rooms in the Mirage section of the resort. We stayed in the adult section but had to move buildings as our first room was beside the family section but they obliged and moved us to the building near the ocean with a great view. We had the Skyview room on the 4th floor which came with its own private roof top terrace with huge Jacuzzi, sun bed, outdoor shower and table and chairs. I would not say the best but then I was spoiled by the food we had when we went to the Royalton in Cancun last year. There was a good variety though with 2 buffets and 4 ala carts. The staff tries to please and make sure you are happy. Bavaro beach is spectacular and our resort had lots of beach chairs and palapas but the ones near the water were always reserved by the early birds. The great thing was the abundance of Bali beds, although many were reserved, we could always find one when needed. Also lots of loungers and bali beds by the beautiful pools. All in all was a great vacation.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: VERY FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT

The resort itself is pretty decent. The room are fairly clean. I just think that the room upgrade is very expensive. The staff though were very kind, friendly and thoughtful. We had to move to a different shoreline because the beach area of the resort is close to the reef which makes it very hard to enjoy the waves. It was very rocky and u can see fish swimming. Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Nice resort but has issues.

Hotel is connected with sister resorts in a large complex and as a result there is a lot to see and do with larger regular evening shows at the main theatre and smaller events within each hotel. Grounds well kept and maid service good. Food was fine. Front desk and other services need improvement. Upon arrival no one was available to check us in. Then once checked in had to be moved due to constant noise outside of suite and a shower that only had hot water. As only one other suite was availabl [... read more]e which was smaller and in bad condition, ended up taking an offer to move into their sister resort Esmeralda. Although closer to the beach, Esmeralda was a lower grade hotel and this was evident in the buffet food quality and selection. There were also repeated issues with the key cards not working so had issues using the in-room safe and accessing our rooms. Finally had the issue fixed but took 4 attempts and a lot of wasted time. For the price the resort was okay but disappointed with all the issues.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Wonderful Resort

It was awesome! I will go again - I had 2 issues - one with the Air Transat rep Connie who insisted we had free LD calling to Nort hAmerica from our room. and the 2nd was I wish we were given proper directions to find our room the first night.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda

My husband and I took a trip together in January 2018. Hotel grounds and pools are beautiful! The staff is very helpful. Our butler Ruth went out of her way to make our stay more enjoyable. She was fantastic, friendly and wanted to help us in any way possible. Our main complaint would be the size of the resort. It was far too big and overwhelming. Requiring to jump on a trolley to get to the main lobby only stopped us from going more often. The beach was so packed we couldn't even enjoy  [... read more]any chairs close to the water. My recommendation would be to stay at Ambar Blue if travelling without kids. We booked most of our A La Carte restaurants there. Found the food and atmosphere more to our liking.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

Good size resort - not too big, not too small. Nicer beach than the resorts up the beach. They have a VIP club you can pay to join to get better beach loungers, service etc. Big kids club, with a kids pool and play ground out front, sports area has tennis courts, basketball, trampoline with harness, rock climbing wall. There is a small Casino on site and a big buffet restaurant and 6 a la carte restaurants. Nightly entertainment was great and the Spa is amazing. one big pool runs between  [... read more]the room buildings and there are lots of floating mats to use. Staff was super friendly, we had a great time. it's about 30-40 minutes by bus from the airport.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Very nice resort

The hotel is very well maintained. The pool was clean the pool bar service was great. The food was decent. The staff were friendly. The entertainment was ok. The hotel shuttle services were very good.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Great resort but......

We had a really great time at the Now Oynx, Punta Cana. The hotel and pools were clean and the food was amazing. A few things.... We were pulled into a sales pitch for the Unlimited Vacation club that took over 2 HOURS. We were promised a $200 voucher for the spa so we stayed but it was terrible. It involved at least 6 different sales people (why so many people?). I come from a sales background and the whole presentation seemed confusing and just too long. The Spa, is super expensive! I pai [... read more]d for a deep tissue massage at it felt like she just rubbed lotion on me for 80 mins, don't bother. Everything else was great. Amazing staff, cold drinks and beautiful hotel.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Very impressed

The resort is beautiful, lots to do food and service is great!!! We will definitely go back. Two small things wish they played more island music around the pool instead of music we can hear at home. The people on the beach with animals to have your pic taken with - wish they would be upfront with price and do only what u ask. We just wanted pic of me with monkey they put all these animals on my husband and then monkey on me took pics with my husbands phone then they wanted 80 dollars 20 doll [... read more]ars for each animal. Everything else was amazing!!!

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: A week in the sun with CHFI

10 out of 10! We really had a glorious time at the Dreams Punta Cana resort and to top it off, we got to hang out with Darren & Mo from CHFI's radio station along with Ian, Alex and Jen because we were amongst 25 contestants who won a trip. The hotel staff was unbelievable as they worked long hours to keep all the guests satisfied. One of their favourite lines was 'happy happy'....and this came after making sure that was how we were feeling. The other phrase that could be heard was 'excellent [... read more]e' as a staff member would ask 'how are things' and before you had a chance to respond, they would ask, 'excellente'? And sure enough, everything was beyond excellent. A BIG THANKS to the Entertainment crew - Very Happy, Happy Happy, Sandy, Benjamin Franklin, Scoobie Doo and every single staff member on the premises. Each of them went out of their way to accommodate to us, whether in the spa, the restaurant, at the pool or in the lobby. Their positive energy shined as bright as their smiles and we would recommend this report to our family and friends with no hesitation.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

Grounds were meticulously groomed, it was spreadout, and you could choose quiet areas or busy areas. Beach was beautiful and wide. lots of courteous staff, Rooms were clean. the variety of food at the buffet was incredible with 11 stations that were changing everyday., as well as themed a la carte restaurants, and reservations were not required! lots of variety, food, snacks, activities, and entertainment.

Excellence Punta Cana: Fabulous resort

Just returned home from a great 10 day vacation at the Punta Cana Excellence Resort. From check in to check out the staff were outstanding with their customer service. The spa is definitely worth a visit and you can be assured that the whole experience will be one to remember. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Clean rooms, excellent dining options and a beach that needs to be seen to truly enjoy its beauty. Recreation staff were upbeat and friendly. Johnathon, Felix, Rosia we’re  [... read more]attentive and made our group feel special. Bartenders and wait staff were also great and knew your drink of choice within the first day. Thank you to Danny, Geoffrey and Juan. This resort offers lots to do, from relaxing to excellent shows at night. They know your name and make you feel at home!

Occidental Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

All the public areas were kept in imacculate condition. The whole experience at the Occidental was 5 star. All the wait staff were a joy to be around. The nightly shows were very well executed and high energy. All the entertainment team worked very hard and their enthusiasam was infectious.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Fantastic Resort

An excellent overall experience- Amazing dining options, Friendly and helpful staff, Fantastic pool area, Beautiful tropical setting and Great nightly entertainment. Looking forward to my next visit !

Ocean Blue and Sand: I was very pleased

The rooms were very clean and very well kept up. The grounds were very neat and tidy. Shuttle buggies ran around resort continuously which was handy. The drinks were very good , bar staff very funny and quick . The food was very good and not crowded at buffets or al acartes. Entertainment was pretty good. Pools very clean with lots of activities. The beach had large sandbags to save the beach. You could still swim no problem . I was quite impressed with this resort and would go again.

Excellence Punta Cana: Excellente Resort

The Excellence Punta Cana has beautiful grounds with lush greenery and flowers.The room was great with a comfortable bed and a large jacuzzi tub. The balcony had a nice view of palm trees and flowers. The bathroom was more than adequate with a large shower and two sinks. The food was very good, a little bland at times, but quality. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Only downfalls were: an unexpected $22 charge for a two minute local call, and the Excellence website lists a 30 [... read more] minute included horse back ride, which no longer exists. Overall a 4.5 out of five for us!
