Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great time

hotel was nice, big resort and organized well. food was awesome, and tripcentral made sure everything was good for our trip! Missed out flight to get home but we’re well taken care of by air canada.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Good to book it!

Hola! I travelled in September to Grand Bahia Principe Aquamarine which is low season and prices were good and occupancy low so I found it not busy. Some observations on some key areas are as follows: Check in/checkout Met with a cool coconut/mint/frozen ice drink. Once in the room, which was the correct high floor pool side view room, they called after about 10 min to make sure everything with it was okay - which was a very nice follow up. Checkout is at a different location than the  [... read more]check in, which is different than the check in, and the process is very smooth and efficient. Room: Was well appointed. Personal items such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, dental kit i.e. toothbrush, and shower cap all provided. Tv is mainly Spanish but has a few English channels including CBS, NBC, ABC, FX, TNT, CNN. Cleanliness and upkeep by the maid was good. Pool and beach: Loungers were abundant and did not have to be reserved with a pool towel like most resorts but this was likely because it was low season. Pool guests seemed to have a great time at the bar and with the music playing. Beach has lots of space for guests. Water and waves I found was a bit stronger than in Cuba or Mexico. Food: Restaurant reservations were easy and could be done via a mobile app with the free wifi. It could also be done via a traditional way of speaking to someone or using a reservation system in the lobby. Restaurants I tried that were all very good were the Limbo (French), MEAT, Maiko (Japanese Tepanyaki). Portofini (Italian) was a bit bland for my taste. Aquamarine Buffet for dinner was good. It was moved from the regular buffet restaurant location to a different venue in part to low season. Sports Bar at Ambar, which you have access to, is a great place before or after dinner before evening entertainment. Entertainment is standard to other resorts with evening shows at a theatre venue. The additional surprise was the even better entertainment in the hotel lobby at night. All in all this was a great resort that I found was constantly being maintained around the property. I would recommend it if you are considering it!

Blau Natura Park Resort: A nature paradise

Beautiful grounds. Amazing view from our room looking over a pond. Full of tropical birds and wildlife. Food was delicious and there was great variety. Entertainment staff were very friendly and put on a great show every night. Hats off to Anna for always keeping us entertained. Hotel staff friendly and professional. Looking forward to my next stay.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Second times a charm!

We came to this resort last year around the same time because how much we loved it. Food was okay this time... there was always a couple restaurants closed every night which left us with only a couple to go to... the Asian one took forever... not as many options as last time for sure. The beach was well kept! Water was kind a rocky but that’s beyond their control. We loved how quite and peaceful it was. Staff were friendly. Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: very nice hotel

very good hotel...room are very clean....food quality is good...and the location is very close to the city for those who like sport , they have a lot of activate..like volley ball and more in fact I am planning to go in the end of octber for tow weeks..back to baradise running away from the cold weather of quebec

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Cofresi is an amazing resort

Everything Bout the resort was amazing.. People were great...food was great...really friendly....id love to go back.... I didnt like the Airlines but not everything can be perfect...but all in all was a trip to remember

Whala Bayahibe: Great value!

Pros: amazing infinity pools, clean and renovated rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Cons: none really. Minor thing is that food wasn’t that great in both variety and quality. There is no beach in the hotel but there’s a bus that will take you to the public beach that comes every half an hour and takes about 5 mins to get to the beach. You can also rent a scooter or a car or walk for about half an hour.

Occidental Caribe: Party central ?

Great hotel , beach front. Food was lacking quality. Friday to Sunday is a pure party, locals and all. Definitely recommend but you’ll need to get a room away from poolside to be able to sleep nice and tight

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Amazing resort !

Barcelo Bavaro Beach is an adult only hotel part from the Barcelo Bavaro Palace .It has all the options and you can enjoy both hotels and their amenities .The grounds are beautifully maintained, service and staff very friendly, beautiful beach shallow water ideal for swimming.Our experience for the 5 time beautiful as usual.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Newly renovated rooms!

It's my second time staying here at Bahia Principe. It has been newly renovated with new rooms and facilities like the gym and sports bar. Service is amazing. The staff still remember me from 2 years ago!

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Home Away From Home

My 4th time here. Very good and love it..only issues we had were no a/c in the bathroom, housekeeper stalked very low quantity of water; 4 bottles, per dayfor two people. No coffee maker in room. Couldn't get more water when calling guest services 3 times. Balcony was in a corner that blocked the fresh breeze and no view. Asked for ocean view room and were denied. Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Great resort!

Location was beautiful, we love the animation group! They were full of joy and very energetic! Our room was upgraded for a better one for our honeymoon, which was ok, not as good as we taught but we never really stayed in there! Only thing for us that was negative was the lack of respect of visitors, garbage was thrown on side of hotel walk ways. Other than this , it was paradise! Great food at the Japanese restaurant!!

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Best Resort Ever

30 hours into my trip I acquired an injury to my right ankle while dancing at the night club. NELSON was absolutely amazing at making sure I was okay on a daily basis until I left 5 days later. He even supplied the wheelchair at NO cost. The staff was genuinely caring. Koodos to the reception desk as well. Thanks VENENCIA FAUSTO! I’ve definitely done my share of travelling but will always go back as this is my favourite resort by far. Clean, tidy and very friendly atmosphere.

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Good resort.

I visited in Sept 2019 as a single traveler and had a good stay. The resort is clean and well maintained. My room was also very clean with daily housekeeping and the fridge was stocked up every day (the small tips to the housekeeper worked). The buffet restaurant and Japanese restaurant are good - I loved both of them. Some of the other a-la-carta restaurant food is not so good (could have been better), but the buffet restaurant makes up for this where you could eat every day (it has plenty of [... read more] choices). Plenty of natural beauty and greenery at the resort with lots of bird life - good nature introduction for kids. I found all the staff very helpful and friendly and remember while traveling - a small amount of tips goes a long way!!! Overall - I would recommend and wouldn't mind visiting with my family.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Simply wonderful

Everything was exceptional, properly is well maintained, amazing room service, delicious food (lots of options) and fun entertainment program. It’s one of those times when expectations meet the reality. Also just wanted to point out - the resort is very very green, lots of palm trees and flowers, So enjoyable. Big thanks to the staff!

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Basic 3 Star

Beautiful resort , friendly staff, continental service. Do it yourself Upon arrival we were left alone to find our room which was assigned to someone else. Had to pay upgrade for a bed larger then a double. Whole resort under construction. The room next to us was under construction, because of that we had a large water leak flooded our bathroom. The next day toxic fumes because of the reconstruction of that room. We were told to stay in our room with both front and deck doors open to air out the [... read more] fumes. The staff at breakfast were only there to clear tables. Alot of staff there no one asking if you want coffee. It was all get it yourself. Very hard to get a drink at any meal. Bring your own from the bar before hand just water was put at table but not refilled Durning meal.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Nice and relaxing but beware of food

Summary: Pros: Small boutique hotel with good service and variety of wellness activities. Cons: Beware of buffet food, had food poisoning which tainted our vacation (hence 3/5 rating). Details: We stayed there at the end of August for one full week. We chose this hotel because of its small size and the fitness programs they offered. In general we enjoyed our stay. The hotel's occupancy was apparently at 40%. The benefits were that there were plenty of unoccupied beach and pool chairs. You  [... read more]often had the pool to yourself which we enjoyed. However their activity programs and restaurants were also understandably operating with reduced offerings. The beach itself is pretty and essentially private but rather small (not suitable for long walks along the beach). The team responsible for the fitness activities were very friendly and passionate. We enjoyed all their activities (yoga, paddle board yoga, paddle board aquafit, tai chi, functional training, GAP, martial fit, ...). The people who stood out from the team were Freddy and Nerfri. Their fitness facilities even had a punching bag, kettlebells, and pairs of fitness equipment (ellipticals, treadmills, bikes,...) to allow working out with your significant other. Ramon who worked at the pool bar and José who worked at the restaurants stood out. Their attitude, friendliness, and attentiveness were remarkable. My wife and I are vegetarians so the food selection at times was limited especially when it comes to getting some protein rich foods. However, the staff were usually accommodating about it. I did get food poisoning (in the middle of our vacation) after one of the buffet dinners. It was rather unpleasant and I had to spend a day confined to our room. The vacation wasn't the same afterwards but we tried to make the most out of it. The staff was shocked about the food poisoning incident but accommodated our requests for rather simple food to help with the recovery. Overall it took about two weeks to fully recover from it. A lot of the staff who were aware of it did ask about my well being several times which was nice and thoughtful. Anyway, the hotel and staff generally deserve their 5-star rating. The food poisoning was an unfortunate event and didn't allow us to take full advantage of our vacation. Overall it was a positive experience at Luxury Bahia Principe Samana, but the food poisoning and lengthy recovery only allow us to give it a 3/5 rating.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Recomanded destination!

This resort is great. No negative comments to think of . Great food. Great rooms. Butler service included. Access to all a la carte restaurant through an APP. I would recomand this resort to anyone. Couples or family. SCUBA Diving excursion was a great experience and of good value

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Mediocre resort

The hotel itself was half decent. The grounds are up kept very nicely. The room however did not have a working fridge in it, the bathtub/shower was falling apart and the mattress was far from comfortable. Though there was access to service 24/7, the quality of such service wasn’t always the greatest. Most concerns were brushed off and the staff were almost rude at times. Pools and beach well maintained. Buffets could use more variety of foods from day to day.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: very bad service - managers were useless

there is a restriction of 3 restaurants . bad room service .. good beach and pools .. but bad service and customer service ... pay 100 more and stay at a different resort . u might be better. i was all stressed because of bad service
