Grand Sunset Princess: Great Resort, Highly recommend

This hotel is amazing, the size is so big that you don't realize how busy it is. We had a swim out room which was private, and the pool associated with this area was literally empty. The entertainment amazing, drinks and food as well. The staff was very friendly, attentive and welcoming. I would return to this resort in a heartbeat. Selection Riviera Cancun: Kid friendly resort

It is so nice hotel for big family , very generous room size, Nice Kid's swimming pool, and kid's play room, Fun entertainment for kid also. Very easy to get soft sand beach to walk This resort seems Very well organized All of our family had enjoyed very much

Zel Cozumel: Great Small Resort

Enjoyed variety of activities and even though 2 adults travelling, still liked family pool. Food lacked variety, but there was always something to find. Liked the grill for lunches. Rooms are a little outdated, but clean and met our needs.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Good bang for your buck

Booking the rooftop room at the privilege section was worth the money. The restaurants had a good variety. The Mexican was our favourite and the least favourite the steakhouse. Great addition was the coffee shop and ice cream shop. The lobby and lobby bar were not so inviting because the ceiling is so high and the noise goes around. Great that there are 5 big pools including a nice kids water park. The beach is nice. There was no seaweed but I advise to bring water shoes because if the big roc [... read more]ks in the water. Great waiter service at the beach. Downside are the people that try to get you in the H10 membership. To be a member for 25 year the want you to pay almost $40,000 Canadian. Payable in 5 years with a down payment of 35% at 13% or 50% down at 8%. Than you gave a free stay for one, two or three weeks a year but you “only” need to pay for the all inclusive and service. That will be between $40 and $199 per person per day. Mid January which is low season the day price was $140. When you go for two weeks as a couple you pay $3920. Add on your flights and transfers and when you do the 35% at 13% interest is $565 per month is $6780 for the first 5 years. Conclusion: your vacation will cost you at least over 10K for the first 5 years. Don’t get fooled.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: It was a great vacation

The resort is very big, but it and our room and the public areas were beautiful and sparkling clean. I did not see a single plastic straw the whole time I was there, and the hotel is to be commended in using washable plastic glasses in the pool areas. It was great to see this really positive effort to reduce the use of single-use plastics. We are two seniors - not good walkers - but the buggies that patrolled the pathways were frequent enough to be a real help to us. I think because the Bahia Principe Tulum was not close to any major city, and because there was a lot of security people around the hotel there were no incidents and I felt perfectly safe. The food was excellent, the pool areas beautiful, the beach everything one could hope for in a Caribbean setting - and the pelicans diving for their food endlessly entertaining. I'll vote for a return visit next year!

The Sens Riviera: This resort rocks!!!

Don’t hesitate! Book today!! This resort is everything and more! We upgraded to the sun club and were blown away! The staff was so accommodating and friendly. The resort was clean, inviting and better than we could ever imagine. The food was another story. It was very fresh and exceptionally prepared and presented. Very high end quality overall!

Grand Riviera Princess: Good family resort

The resort offered a lot of amenities for families. They signed out strollers, bottle warmers, monitors and a few other things when available. We were there at about 50% capacity but it felt quite full so I'm not sure what it would look like at full capacity. The food was absolutely amazing. we were with a small group and nobody had any issues. The ala carte restaurants did a fantastic job with their specialty foods. Yes there are some rocks in certain parts of the beach but there is plenty of entrance that had no rocks at all and you did not need water shoes.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Awesome vacation spot

The Fives is a beautiful resort. A bit of a jungle with monkeys and a great boardwalk which is then lined with beautiful gardens to lead you to the beach. Lots of great restaurants and food was very good. We enjoyed our stay.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Horrible Resort

Honestly this was my worst vacation ever. I want to first off say it has nothing to do with the employees. They were all very nice but the quality of this resort is beyond horrible. The food was the worst I’ve ever had and made me not want to eat at all. No flavour just bland overall and the same things everyday. The alcohol selection was extremely basis for a 4 star and all the expensive bottles were filled with water to make it look like they had expensive stuff but they didn’t. The checki [... read more]n process took over 1hr with only one person working the checkin desk and multiple employees walking around. I would never recommend anyone to go and stay at this resort. My friends and I would never go back and are extremely disappointed on how this hotel is rated as a 4 star but is barely even qualified for a 2 star. You really need to re-evaluate the rating of this resort.

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Amazing adults only!!

This brand new resort was absolutely amazing!! So clean and fresh. The food and drinks were amazing (and we have pretty high standards)! The hotel is very modern and the rooms and grounds were always kept very clean. The hotel is situated on a gorgeous beach front with no seaweed!! The service at the restaurants and bars were very good! Everyone was so friendly :). With booking this resort we had access to all of the barcelo resorts on this beach strip (there were 5) which was nice to walk ov [... read more]er for a change of scenery or have dinner elsewhere! The only downfall (which we didn’t mind since we go to bed early) is the nightlife was not very good! If you are a big partier that loves night life this resort probably isn’t for you... mind you we didn’t walk over to the other Barcelos at night which could have had better entertainment and been more lively ? Would strongly recommend!!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Beautiful Tropical Retreat

The Sian Caan is a lovely smaller resort. The pools are surrounded by beautiful trees, but lots of birds. Take cover if your chair is directly under a tree. We did have huge spiders and cockroaches in our room, so we kept out luggage closed. We know tropical surroundings are susceptible to bugs. We stayed on the main floor, but did find that a little concerning. Now for the food. AMAZING!! Sian Caan has amazing buffet meals. And the gala night with lobster was so good. We enjoyed the al a cart [... read more]e restaurants, but found getting decent reservation times a real challenge. We had many 9pm suppers. And that really is just too late. We did cancel one of the reservations because of that. This was my 2nd visit to Sian Caan. It did not have quite the charm the 2nd time. I am not so sure I will go again.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Amazing place!!

Travelled to this resort in Jan 2020 with 8 adults and 5 children ages from 8 months to 8 years. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this resort was!! Rooms were beautiful and clean. Grounds were well kept and clean. Multiple pools also impeccably clean. Kids water park was great. Buffet was good to very good. Restaurants were great. Staff were all so friendly and service was great. Beach was quite nice although some have said seaweed can get bad; we didn’t have any issues the week we w [... read more]ere there. Sand is so soft and water was pretty calm. I would definitely go back.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: excellent resort

We were there Jan 19th, 2020 and we had a amazing time The resort and the staff were amazing from the time we arrived until we left My daughter is vegan and the a la carte restaurant ensure that we was able to meet her needs I would go back again

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great Resort

This resort is beautiful... the facilities are all top notch. The restaurants were great (food occasionally not quite as hot as would have liked but overall very very good). The staff was terrific. We stayed in the hideaway section and it was really nice. There were two nights we were woken by couple who had partied to hard fighting in hall way. This isn’t really a complaint against the resort but be aware that there can be some party people there. I would definitely return and  [... read more]would stay in hideaway section again. I would bring my earplugs just in case tho!!

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: A very nice resort

Ladies and Gentlemen: This was our fourth - two week - visit to Valentine Imperial Maya. We obviously like the resort or we would not have returned for the fourth year in a row. We enjoy your restaurants, beautifully appointed lobby and grounds, our room was kept clean and fresh, staff at resort are friendly and helpful. We had an unfortunate situation when my husband had to pay a visit to your on-site doctor. The doctor diagnosed him with bacterial bronchitis, dispensed an injection, [... read more] antibiotics and cough syrup. The visit took no longer than 40 minutes and the bill came to $9,100.00 Pesos. Although my husband's condition improved greatly, we were quite shocked at the high cost - considering the time spent and the medication dispensed. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have private insurance at home. On our first two visits (4 weeks in total) we were not aware of the Loyalty program available. It certainly was not mentioned to us on check-in, check-out or during our stay. We only found out about it on our third visit (Jan/19) and were rewarded for that particular stay. Although we asked to be retroactively 'rewarded' for our previous four weeks with Valentine we were told that this would not be possible. Quite disappointing really since we have obviously been 'loyal' customers for all 4 of our stays and not only the last 2. BTW - after our first visit we recommended your resort to our friends and they have now visited your resort three times. If you publish this review please delete my email. Thank you. Eva.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Great Little Resort -

A group of us purchased the VIP Plus package with the Royal Decameron in Los Cabos and paid an additional cost for this (I believe it was $300). This "plus" was to include the following: - mini bar wit sodas and beers with daily replenishment - breakfast served in exclusive area of Luna restaurant - unlimited premium beverages available at the bar at the adult pool - wifi service in all areas of the hotel - access to adults only pool - welcome fruit plate and bottle of wine We liked the [... read more] idea of the VIP/Plus service and all 8 of us booked for the additional cost. However. Once we checked in, we found that there was NO VIP/Plus service at all. We did receive a small bottle of wine in the room, but no corkscrew and we were not able to locate one at the hotel, and we all left the wine behind. The wifi was available to ALL hotel guests free of charge, this was not exclusive for VIP guests. The rooftop lounge/pool/bar was not exclusive to VIP guests, this was open to anyone and everyone at the hotel. It did not matter that we paid the additional cost and wore the "Gold" bracelets. Our mini fridge was not replenished every day, we had to request this each day, and even after requesting, we received only 2 small 500ml bottles of water per day. This is not enough water for 2 people. There was no breakfast served in the Luna restaurant. The unlimited premium beverages was available to every hotel guest. Also, the spa/gym/fitness centre was permanently closed due to a roof leak caused by the roof top pool. This was not communicated. I have stayed at this resort twice before (when there was no VIP/Plus option available) and have always had a great experience. We enjoyed our time here last week as well, however, we were all very disappointed in this new VIP/plus which we paid for and did not receive. There is NO VIP/Plus at this resort at all, and I feel that this was falsely advertised.

Krystal Puerto Vallarta: GREAT VACATION!

The hotel is in an excellent location. We were able to walk to the Malecon, Walmart - should you want anything for your room - altho we had everything you could think of on site. The staff was great and very friendly. Buffet had lots of options and the staff was always willing to make anything you didn't see. (like bacon wasn't always out at breakfast but they would bring it to you if you asked) Always lots of fresh fruit and salad items. We ended up in a main floor suite facing the ocean. It  [... read more]was wonderful to hear the sound of the waves. And the entertainment in the evening was great -- 4/5 times we went. All in all...THUMBS UP!!!

Riu Palace Baja California: Impressive Resort

Excellent facilities and design with beautiful rooms, 5pools, 2 swim up pool bars and 3 others, 4 A La Carte restaurants plus outstanding Buffet restaurant. Food overall is excellent. Unfortunately, I had $400 cash stolen from my room by housekeeping staff and even though the security investigation pointed clearly to 1 housekeeper, the hotel management did nothing to recover the money or compensate me for the loss. Excellent free shuttle service to and from the airport.

Costa Club Punta Arena: Totally enjoyable

We really enjoyed our stay at the Costa Club. Staff were all friendly and accommodating, the food was predictably amazing. It does not matter what your taste buds like you will find something. The complex is well looked after with some of the most hard working staff I have ever saw in my 20 +years of visiting Mexico. The pillows could stand to be replaced but that is the only part of the room that was uncomfortable. I want very impressed with the dress code of the ala carte Italian Restaurant. Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Stunning resort!

Beautiful resort with *incredible* and friendly, attentive (without being intrusive) service. Immaculate grounds and picturesque public areas. Lots of unique seating all over resort for relaxing in. Room was perfect, large and modern with in room stocked fridge. Pools were lovely with lots of chairs available at all times (we were there end of January) both on adult and family sides of resort. Bars served wide variety of fun cocktails and staff were friendly and welcoming. The buffets at lunch and breakfast were outstanding with wide variety. Last but not least the beach was amazing, white sand, clean and well maintained with a lifeguard, washrooms and a bar. Would most definitely recommend and will be coming back ourselves!
