Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Perfect

Check in, the food, the room, the drinks, the beach, housekeeping, the entertainment crew, all of it was perfect. The resort was well kept and I felt safe walking around. There was plenty to do to keep me busy.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Palladium Kantenah/Colonial Relaxing

We requested a resort with good food, beach and entertainment. Grand Palladium is truly grand meaning it’s huge. I knew it was going to be a large complex but was not prepared how big. Upon arrival we where greeted with a refreshment and checked in. We decided to switch hotels from the Kantenah to the Colonial. Room was a good size. The beds where extremely soft and a little uncomfortable for our liking. Dinning rooms where very well decorated. Staff very tentative. A La Carte restaurants where good. No reservation was required but we did have to wait for 20 min to get a table. We mostly ate breakfast and lunch at the buffet. Unfortunately, we noticed that the food was the same everyday. The selection did not rotate much. Also, we found that the food at the buffet was cold. I was expecting the food to be much better. We found it was equal to the food we had in the Dominican Republic last year. We booked “Room Deluxe Imperial Club”. We don’t remember what we where suppose to get with that. We did receive the $1250 coupon book but the deals where better at each location. For example: the coupon book had a $30 coupon at the spa. We received half price from a spa representative on the beach. We did get a bottle of sparking wine in our room. It was fun to see the pink flamingos in the lobby and the crocodile cage. Lots of iguanas and weasel like animals in the mangroves. Unfortunately, mother nature did not provide sunshine but that was no fault of the resort. It was very cloudy and cold the week we where there. Had a little sunshine on our last day. We would not go back to this hotel.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Spa

Exceeded all my expectations, not sure I would ever try another resort because it wouldn't compare! Beautiful resort ,excellent food, drinks & staff, enjoyed yoga with Hiram and spinning with Christopher.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Love the Valentin Imperial Maya:)

We stayed at the VIM for our 3rd time from Jan 19-26,2018. We had our honeymoon here in 2012 and still love it! The property is huge and well maintained..gives the feeling of not being full or crowded even if fully booked. The staff are fantastic and we've never had problems with poor/rude service. We spent time at the quiet pool as well as the beach..both are great! The beach is beautiful sand and swimming is awesome. The food and restaurants are one of the best things about this resort...even  [... read more]though you don't leave the resort it feels like you're getting dressed up and "going out":) If you're looking for an anniversary or honeymoon vacation..without kids..this is one of the best places to go! The basics suites are really nice (building 3 & 4 are great locations) and we upgraded to quiet pool swim up suite this time...we loved it!! (building 8). Pretty close ( 25 mins) from Cancun airport as well which is a bonus.

Riu Playacar: could not of picked a better place for our 2nd anniversary

The room was spacious, the food unbelievable, the staff so courteous, the facilities exemplary. The site was very clean. Mini bar refilled with more water and soda than we could consume. I'm so glad we went to the Riu Playacar and will never forget this trip.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Awesome!!!

We just returned from the Barcelo Maya Colonial resort and had an amazing week. The rooms are very clean, the food is wonderful and the pool area is huge. There is a wonderful kids pool as well. The beach is beautiful and although rocky in spots, you can find areas that are not rocky. You can also snorkel right from the beach. You also NEVER have to fight for a lounge chair at the beach or the pool which is so nice. The staff is lovely and helpful and the amenities are good. Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun: one of our favorite resorts

The grounds were clean and well groomed, the pool was clean and the rooms spacious. The food was not the best we have had, but the people made up for that. All of the employees are so friendly. They could not do more for you. The beach is not great as the seaweed is thick, but they are working at keeping it as clean as possible all day long. I gave pool/beach a five star because the pool was fantastic.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Fantastic!

It was my first time to a destination wedding and it was a wonderful experience. The resort was beautiful, spotless and the food was great. The wedding was beautifully organized, the wedding planner made sure that all of the guests were taken care of. I highly recommend this resort and would go back in a minute.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Mostly up to expectation

The beach was not usable, full of seawed.The water activities advertised, were non-existant. The resort was isolated,surrounded by swamp (they called it a "mangrove").Very long , narrow driveway to the entrance.(maybe a mile). Although the general design was interesting and elegant "open concept", the workmanship was poor. Food and .Service good..10 differnt restaurants to choose from, All but one, excellent. Will be niosy in the future. If you choose a room overlooking the "mangrove" expect an ugly view and odor of sewers. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great Resort!!

The grounds were beautiful. Very well maintained. Family suite had tons of space. Lots of pools with lots of bars and places to eats. We loved the buffet. Probably the best buffet we've had at a resort. Lots of activities to do around the grounds. The gym was beautiful and the spa was excellent. We'd go back but with the kids next time!

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Family Vacation With Teens

Our first family vacation in a long time and expectations were high! We booked Run of the House but next time will book specific resort. We didn’t like the unknown factor as we couldn’t find out where we were staying until arriving at Cancun airport and speaking with Air Canada Rep. A family of four including my 18 & 13 year old sons. We booked this resort specifically for them. The size and amount of activities ensured they wouldn’t be bored and we were right. They kayaked, rented jet s [... read more]kis and we went on ATV/Cenote excursion right on resort which was priced right at $60/person (that was an unexpected find while walking around resort).Highly recommend! Gym was great and we used it most days. No line up for check in but as expected room wasn’t ready until 3pm so we went for lunch at buffet to fill the time. Rooms were only real disappointment. They were very tired especially bathroom. Public washrooms were more appealing by far!! I realize climate is humid but bed was damp and smelly regardless of turning air/fans on. Been to Riviera Maya before and did not experience this. Very hard to sleep and woke with smelly hair and pjs :( Grounds are beautiful, beach is amazing, pool is cold but refreshing! Resort is 1 hour 15 mins from airport which we were aware of and resigned to just enjoying scenery. Enjoyed convenience and location of lobby bar at Tropical (close to our rooms). Able to have early am coffee/cappuccino before buffet opened and pre dinner drink while waiting for others to dress for dinner. Coffee is amazing BTW! Buffet was good for breakfast but redundant for lunch/dinner. We went to 3 different ones to try and mix it up a little. A la carte restaurants: México Lindo our fav!! La Trattoria italian amazing HUGE portions!! Tokyo Japan fun experience, meal was ‘fine’. Santa Fe steak house least favourite but ‘fine’. Staff/servers were very friendly and helpful for the most part. Some grumpy bartenders at beach bar, and front desk. Overall great vacation and would return to Barcelo Maya again, for sure.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: sublime time

it was the best getaway after cold climates in Hamilton. the warmth and the sun on your skin, the palm trees, the food was fresh, the staff friendly, hotel was accommodating. the fruits were endless to eat. everything was clean.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing resort

What a great resort very clean. Amazing and friendly staff. We Defiently will be going again with the family. The food and shows where great. Lots of things to do with the kids. Cant wait to go again in the near future.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Finally the top resort

What a pleasant surprise. We just returned from Valentin Imperial Maya where we were for one week. I rate this resort a perfect 5 star. The accommodations, the grounds, the staff and yes the top quality food. This was the best vacation I have had in years.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great resort!

This resort is beautiful!! It's clean, the food was great, the staff was super friendly and helpful! There is lots to do right on the resort which was great! The pools are amazing! All over super impressed with this resort and I would definitely go back :)

Grand Sunset Princess: Amazing resort!

We loved the grounds, the rooms and the service was exellent! The beach has shadow, the water is great, however there are some rocks when entering the water, but easy to avoid.The evening entertainment vas great and we danced many evenings.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Fun fun fun

This holiday was so much fun for the kids. There was so much to do at the resort it kept them busy so we could do some relaxing. The rooms were large and comfortable. The pools were kept very clean. The snorkelling in the ocean was great. The food was fantastic. It was very close to many cool excursions as well. Like swimming with dolphins. Overall we all had a perfect vacation.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great service

Hotel was great. Very large! Bev did a great job at accommodating everyone in our group! Thanks for everything! It would be great to have more reservation options as we only got three. This would great!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Best of the best!

We stayed here Jan 21-28 and absolutely loved it!! Such fantastic staff. Amazing food and drinks. Nice quiet location and rooms. Everyone was so relaxed, happy and friendly. We have been to many five star resorts To compare and for the price, Sian Kaan beats them all!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Nothing not to like

Well maintained grounds, very clean with great food. Have visited this hotel before and nothing has changed, consistently good service. Very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble, they really want to please their guests. I would recommend this hotel for an all inclusive stay.
