Melia Caribe Beach Resort: The Level is the way to go!
The service was fantastic. The resturant at the level had a great bar area and variety of food. The Golf course was across the street and the mall was very handy. The level area outside at night was peaceful and very relaxing.
Melia Las Antillas: Very very good!!!!
It has been our first trip to Cuba with my wife in May 2014. We had a wonderful time at this resort. Excellent food, clean rooms, lots of entertainment, and great food. I don't mind going back to this resort and I already recommended it to friends and to my extended family.
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beautiful resort.
This was our 4th stay at the Paradisus Rio De Oro and we were welcomed with a nice cool towel and cold drink. We stayed at the Royal Service . The food was as always delicious and the employees are all smiles and nothing is too much trouble for them. The Royal Service is very quiet and relaxing, if you like more entertainment then you are better of at the resort itself. We can't wait to go back and enjoy the friendliness of the Cuban people.
Melia Marina Varadero: Beautiful Resort
We stayed there over the Christmas Holiday. Loved it. New Beautiful resort. Excellent service! People were very nice. Food was good. We had a great time there. I would recommend this resort in Varadero.
Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Nice resort!
Enjoyed our stay at Melia. Disappointed that our flight was delayed over 2 hrs and we didn't get to Bahamas till after 1200 am. No taxis were around and had to get a transfer from one of the buses . We did not get all inclusive when booking our trip. When we did get to Melia we had to wait over 2 hrs in line to be checked in and then when we got our room we noticed in the bathroom there were lots of tiny little ant like bugs. I could not handle bugs crawling around my feet. Went to the front des [... read more]
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Great Stay!
We stayed at this resort March Break Break 2013. This was our first trip to Cuba and we were pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. The rooms were clean and spacious but in need of some updating and are in the process of doing so as we were told. Although people complain about the food in Cuba, we food everything to be decent. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the selection of fresh fruit. The beach was absolutely beautiful... It was a little windy the week we were th [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Great Getaway
This was mine and my husband's first stay at the Melia Hotels and our first time in Santa Maria. It was beautiful as is all of Cuba. I did find the drive to the resort a little long but there was enough entertainment on the bus ride there. I would have liked to have seen it in daytime as we arrived in the evening and also left in the evening so didn't see much of Santa Clara so maybe that's why it seemed like a long bus ride. On the first night we arrived, there was no power in our room but was [... read more]
Melia Buenavista: Recomemmended
The most expensive in Cuba, small, and an adult only resort. The money factor works as a screening filter - NO crowd, NO kids, NO unwanted socializing, etc. Longest beach in Cayo Santa Maria and maybe in Cuba. The island is isolated from main Cuba land so absolutely no locals.
Melia Las Dunas: Great Place to relax and lay back
Love to spend the evening in the lobby watching all the activities going on. Weather/Beach and pool all 1st class. Would like lemons with the grilled fish at the Beer gardens but it was not the end of the world. A side trip to Trinidad is worth sending a day to see a larger perspective of Cuban Life. Wish I would have brought a thermal mug for the cold drinks, a must. Will be returning to Cuba next year for a longer stay.
Tryp Cayo Coco: Nice Location But In Need Of TLC
Overall I think the place is OK. But the rooms are a bit run down and in need of a facelift. The beach is excellent and the food quality and choice are above average for Cuba. Most of the evening shows are well done. Annoying shortages at the bars at times like no beer or no mint for mojitos.
Melia Peninsula Varadero: amazing resort and staff
The overall surrounding of the hotel is very clean, the kitchen staff were really nice and friendly. Good food!!! The shows at night are very enjoyable, and the beach is spectacular. Way to go Melia Peninsula
Sol Varadero Beach: Beautiful Resort and wonderful people
Rooms were great/ dining was good /love the beach and all the assistance we received there...everything was awesome , there was always a surprise in our room upon return. Made alot of friends and saw some old ones .It's like going home when we get there.
Tryp Cayo Coco: Amazing beach, nice resort, poor food
This was my 3rd time at this hotel. The beach at Tryp Cayo Coco is BEAUTIFUL and this is why I love it so much. The hotel itself is nice... our first room wasn't great but we asked to switch and the 2nd room was lovely. Food was pretty bad, but edible. But I don't go to Cuba for the food... and to me that wasn't a big deal!
Melia Marina Varadero: Disappointment
Food was horrible and was the same thing the entire week Out of our group of 6, 3 ended up violently ill and ended up needing medical attention. Doctors said it was from either salmonella poisoning or rotten food. At the meat cooking stations they touched the raw meat before giving you your cooked meet with the same utensils. A la carts were worth than the buffet and we were only allowed 2 for the entire week. Beach was ok, no excitement Overall, very dissapointed. Not worth the money we spent a [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Excellent Resort
Very nice resort with good layout, very friendly people, and tasty food. Rooms were a little dated but about par to other resorts in Cuba. No bugs at all. Entertainment was okay but they tried their best.
Melia Las Dunas: Excellent
Best stay ever! Everything was amazing. The food was surprisingly good for Cuba. We particularly enjoyed the sushi bar. Also the beach was windy but gorgeous. It was always hard to find a beach beds but we took the sheets from the Room and attached them in between the cabanas for shade. Then just moved a few chairs. We get smarter as we get older. Lol. We went on many excursions. All were good.
Melia Las Dunas: I keep going back
4th time going there, and I do 2 week stays. Love the people that work there and got to know quite a few of them on a personal basis. Service is amazing, food is good, rooms are clean. I'll keep coming back
Melia Marina Varadero: Wonderful Relaxing Tim
First time to Varadero. Beautiful hotel, beautiful weather and I cannot wait to see the hotel when everything is completed. Alexei and Jennys were the best employees. I would come back to the hotel just to see them.
Memories Cayo Largo: Excellent place to relax and unwind
We stayed here July 2013. It was great to have an airport on the island and only on the bus about 10 minutes to the Resort. Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were very clean as well as the grounds on the resort. Food was very good, lots to choose from and something for everyone. It was awesome to sit on the beach all day and enjoy that gorgeous view. We had an awesome time there!
Hotel Vigia: great resort
Small resort, very well maintained. Stayed in a room with an ocean view. The food was good....amazing donuts made fresh each evening. The beach really nice with lots of kite boards. The pool clean with lots of chairs.
