Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Very nice resort maybe a 4 star

I loved the size of the resort. Easy to get around never missed anything. Wasn't fussy for any of the restaurants. Buffet was very good all the time. Service was very good no problems. Room was average no nicer then a med rate hotel. Bathroom was very dated and tired. No bathtub. Minimum clothes storage.

The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana: Short & Sweet Review

Our week-long stay was too short; our overall experience was ultra sweet! Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Beautiful Resort!

The resort is beautiful! The rooms are very big, the coffee shop is fabulous, premium bar is amazing! There are many options for food- the Sports Bar was great and the Steak House is beautiful! The ability to go to th other 2 properties is fantastic. Definitely recommend!

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Chic Punta cana

We had a great time. Amazing location. Resort was not too big. Great daily fitness classes and variety. Culinary experience was really fun and worth it if your a foodie. Steak house was delicious! Great couples getaway.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Good resort

Very good Resort staff was excellent. A lot bigger than Resorts I am used to. Very busy with people. If looking for peace and quiet dont stay here. Was told there were 4000 people on the whole property while we were there. Good place just wish it wasnt so busy.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: The good heavily outweighed by the Bad (Stolen $)

Cons ----- Con #1. I'll start with the cash taken out of my spouse and I's room, along with another couple we travelled with. One of the couples we travelled with had a $100 canadian bill stolen, pretty easy to keep track of. They were on the same floor as us. The next night (I count my money twice a day) I noticed my bag had been tipped over and my wallet was moved inside my bag, where I was missing specific bills I never touch. My spouse had her purse riffled through and wallet opened [... read more] where she kept her money. Did I mention none of the safes work at all? Upon our complaint to the front desk, we had "security" come and inspect our room only to tell us they can do nothing. They urged us "this is not common" yet they had PAGES of reports in their paperwork with the same issues. They offered to rummage through our room to help us "find the missing money" which we obviously declined. They then suggested we fill out a generic report, which had questions SPECIFICALLY laid out relating to theft. After spending a few hours explaining what happened (they were extremely rude and didn't care) we met with the head of security the next day, where he showed us the entry history into our room, confirming it was the maid being the only and last one in the room since the money was missing. Since they have no proof of her actually taking the money, they can't do anything. Which means no repercussions for future theft. We were given a gift card for one of the shops, which is better than nothing. After speaking with some of the employees we were friendly with, they re-affirmed that the amount stolen was "not that much" and that "wouldn't we want the money to go to someone who needs it?", their mentality is completely different than ours. Con #2 Upon arriving at the resort after 14 hours of travel, we were attempted to be upsold by the most rude and condescending front desk person I've ever encountered on vacation. It was obvious they had an entire sales pitch to get more money out of us. After finally declining for 20 minutes and sweating with our luggage, they gave us our rooms (which was the furthest building away from the beach). Not a great view at all, but unless you want to pay an extra $600+ U.S for a week, you have to deal with it. Con #3 The seafood gave four out of six of us diarrhea for at least a day. DO NOT EAT IT Con #4 Mold in the room made all of us sick by the end of the week, you could hear everyone coughing on the beach by the last day. Three out of six of us had to call in sick the following week at least one day it was that bad. A doctor confirmed it was a type of flu, for myself personally it feels like bronchitis. The shower had tiles coming out. Con #5 Don't expect much service at all at buffets, they might offer you a coffee then never come back. When we went to get our own, they would come and give us dirty looks and tell us they can get us one. Pros ------- Pro #1 Food was absolutely fantastic (don't eat the seafood), beach bbq was great, a la cartes were awesome, buffets were great. Pro #2 High-end liquor with mobile bartenders was a highlight. I don't drink often at all, but it was nice to have a higher quality drink, bartenders were very professional and great to interact with. Pro #3 Beach was very nice, lots of seating (hard to reserve though) Pro #4 Tons of events going on all day by the pool and by the beach, always something to do. Pro #5 Very close to the airport, was a great quick ride Pro #6 the gym was awesome, very small but good enough. (wish I wasn't so sick I could've gone more) Overall : I would not return to Dominican let alone Dreams Palm Beach due to the money stolen, the food poisoning and the mold in the room that got most of us sick. The customer service we received was mostly abysmal when we needed it. They all look down on us as entitled and will do anything to squeeze more money out of their tourists. Pay the extra money and go somewhere else, I definitely will. (Wait for a generic response from the resort claiming I'm not a victim with a condescending tone addressing none of the issues I outlined). Hope this helps someone with their decision out there.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Another Excellent Holiday

Our 4th time at the Ambar. First time in the Green Section. Grounds were beautiful, food was excellent, we had an wonderful room overlooking the pool. Staff were very friendly and always offering to help. Sony our Butler, Maura, Lorenzo and Yohan at the restaurants were exceptional. Great vacation experience.

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Riu Palace Punta Cana

I selected this resort as had been to one in Jamaica as was pleased. While the hotel is older it was majestic. The rooms were older looking but everything was very clean. The first room was musty but moved to another room facing pool and was happy with that. The Jacuzzi didnt work but with in minutes of mentioning this to Sunwing rep it was repaired immediately. Pool small but spent most time on beach. Ocean rough most days but the beach spectacular. Food was great and presentation amazing. [... read more] Never got sick. Lots of choices. Only down side too much salt used in everything. I would definitely book with Riu again. Perhaps next time adults only. When looking at other hotels I think this was by far one of the best choices and other guests agreed.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great stay.

This was my first time south and it didn't disappoint. The food was amazing especially at the a la cartes. Buffet was a miss only once. The pools were clean, cool and refreshing. Staff there were friendly and courteous. Beach was okay, ocean a bit wild but lots of places to sit. Only downsides were the H10 reps trying to sell their travel package, mini fridge wasn't stocked a couple of days and we had to find a maid for some beverages, Wi-Fi didn't always work and the room needed some attention.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Amazing Family Resort

We stayed over New Years Eve !! Had a wonderful time. The grounds were very well kept, and because it was the holidays mini lights and Christmas lights were strung in every hedge and palm tree. The staff made sure we had a good time. Great Iberostar in the DR.......as always.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Family Vacation

We are four families (8 adults 6 children) who just came back from the Now Onyx. The resort was everything we hoped it would be and more. It is not too big so easy to get around. There are several pools and the most beautiful pristine beach! Our grandkids (ages 2 to 7) loved the kiddie pool which was nice and warm. The buffet is fine and the three ala cartes we tried were very good. The staff are amazing and so eager to please. Occidental Caribe: Simply Loved It!

This resort had such a warm and friendly environment. We stayed in the Ocean Front Superior room. So clean. The buffet area is beautiful and the food is great, We certainly did not go hungry. The pool area for the kids was amazing and the bigger pool was fantastic. Our favorite al a Carte was the Italian. My husband is Italian and a very picky eater. We went twice. Loved it. We cannot say enough about the staff. They were very attentive and polite. I highly would recommend this resort.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Very Good Value!!

The hotel was well taken care of, despite the age of the facility. Great service, good food, and lots of entertainment! There was lots of staff at the restaurants, bars, beach, etc. My only complaint was that the a-la-carte restaurants were almost completely booked when we arrived, so we couldn't get into the restaurants we wanted...besides that, a very good resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Still a Nice Resort but if you pay for Luxury then it needs to always be top end!!

We have stayed at Bahia Principe Hotels on about 15 occasions ( at least 10 at what is now called Luxury Bahia Prinicpe Ambar), we have always spoken highly about this resort and the people who work here, and nothing has changed, still beautiful and the staff are amazing. We decided to come at a different time of year and this time (as always) we sent an email ahead of time to get a room in one of the buidlings that we like to stay in and book our dinners, none of this was done our room is right [... read more] next to what sounds like a night club ( as I am listening to right now) and nothing was booked as requested. I don't mind paying extra for an amazing place to stay but the new place next door ( Royalton Bavaro) looks really amazing , so maybe it is time to give it a try, we are going over for a tour tomorrow. Sorry Bahia , but upping the game is how to keep a top notch place word by word of mouth.

Riu Republica: Ok

The resort was new,large with many pools and restaurants. It was very clean and the food was good. Seems like we were there during Spring Break as majority of the people were 18-25. Several people Had to be removed from the pools in wheelchairs as they could not walk. We tried Asian and Italian restaurants, both were great. We walked out of Indian and Steak. Buffet was good.

This was our second visit to this resort, the first visit was at the Blue and the second at the Green. The hotel was great and the food was better than good. The hotel room was clean and the grounds always tidy. The employees at this this resort were always happy and helpful. My wife and I cannot find one thing to complain about during our one week stay. One employee named Alexander always has a smile on his face and always yells, " I Love My Job", is an honest and down to earth guy that really does love his job and the vacationers. Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Absolutely AMAZING place !!!

Everything about this resort was fantastic !! The level of service was the best we have ever had . There was always somebody asking if you needed a drink , how you were doing , and if everything was ok . The cleanliness of the resort was astonishing . Staff were always seen cleaning and tidying around the pools/bars/lounges etc . Even the pool side bathrooms were always immaculate (which is rare at resorts).The food choices at the buffets were more than ample . The food was always hot and fresh  [... read more]. The nice thing about the buffets was that the the food service was in an air conditioned sectioned off room and not in the open air seating area . The a la carte restaurants were easy to access and the food options were amazing . The adult side was very quiet and relaxing with many activities to participate in . The Palace side was just as appealing with a massive theatre and disco (bigger and more modern than we have ever seen in the islands . It was much more lively at this side , if thats what you are looking for . The fact that you could walk over to this side of the resort in 10 minutes (under a covered path the whole way ) was a great alternative . There is also a shuttle train that runs between resorts. Overall , this resort had everything we needed or wanted to have a memorable holiday . It is obviously well managed as all staff we met were more than helpful and courteous , and all parts of the facility were exceptionally clean .

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Awesome time!

This hotel was amazing. The staff were very nice, everywhere was very well kept and food was awesome. The pool bar was where we spent most of our time to relax as well as the beach. They have servers come up to you on the beach to take drink orders which is very convenient. I would recommend this hotel to families and couples of all ages!

Excellence El Carmen: Fantastic resort !!!

One of the best all-inclusive hotels we ever stayed in. 5 stars ratting is truly well deserved and earned. Modern, immaculate, beautifully designed grounds and rooms. Wonderful dinning options. Top notch nightly entertainment. Friendly and attentive staff. We would definitely go back for another vacation.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Amazing resort!

Resort was perfect - beautiful landscaping, pools and beach were great. Rooms and all public areas were impeccably clean. Food was excellent and all service was good. The entertainment staff were really enthusiastic and great fun. Would not hesitate to return there and recommend to friends.
