Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beatiful Resort

No complaints about the food. There appeared to be something to please everyone. Plus, the specialty restaurants provided even more variety. The grounds were daily cleared of fallen plant material. Not quite as much attention was paid to human garbage that occasionally littered the gardens and waterfront. I enjoy snorkelling and I had read a very good review of the possibilities. However, we had a big wind and rain storm while I was there which made the ocean very rough. I was unable to  [... read more]kayak and some snorkelling areas were too silty and/or had too strong a current. These big storms seem to be more common. Therefore, snorkelling and kayaking are not reliable activities. Because the resort area is so large, walking from one end to another is a good distance. There are multiple beaches also, if one tires of an area. The swimming areas of mostly very shallow. They have the longest pool that I have seen at a resort.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Awesome Resort

Everything about this Riu is top notch from staff , restaurants , buffet and beach. The resort is clean and rooms beautiful , who eats lobster 4 times out of 7 !!! Beef tenderloin was also top notch. We will come here again.

Ocean Eden Bay: An Excellent Resort

My husband and I had an excellent vacation at Ocean Eden Bay. Having the Coral Springs side to also experience at the same time added to the value of the resort. We felt it was extremely good value at the price point that we paid for an ocean view room (without privilege service). What stood out for us were the rooms were spacious, well laid and the beds were extremely comfortable. The balcony was also a nice size with decent chairs and a side table. We especially enjoyed the Steakhouse, Marlin, Sense's Dinner Theatre, and Bluemoon (confusing but menu was at Marlin certain nights) for dinners. Marlin for breakfast. Captain's Table for lunch. The pool was great but too noisy with music and games for our liking so we mostly stayed at the beach. It was small but adequate. Really for us, the only negative was we like a bigger beach to walk along. In other reviews, people complained about the service from staff. Our experience was that all staff members were extremely helpful and pleasant.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Welcome home motto!!

This was my second time at this resort and I really like the smaller set up of the grounds, the people, and the availability of being able to snorkel everyday and eat ice cream! However that is not to say this hotel does not need some TLC, our room a deluxe ocean view room was musty smelling, and no ventilation at all in the bathroom to clear steam or smell, we were on a two week stay, not sure how 4 people would of managed we were only 2. We did not go to watch TV but again being their two [... read more] weeks we were not out every evening but maybe 2 or 3 channels that's it. Not one hanger in a huge closet with no way too put anything in. Most of the staff is wonderful but Customer Service staff does not seem happy, several times we needed to speak to them and yes they provided what was asked but with very little enthusiasm. The food in this hotel and the ala carts is very very good ?..the Jerk hut and ice cream stand also very good. Grounds are very well taken care of and the hot tubs worked!! We will go back, and hopefully some upgrades are made. ?

Riu Montego Bay: Good Resort

Hotel was large had all emmebties required. Food was good nobody got sick. Stafg where friendly at most. Sinwing reps all horrible at resort. Flight delayed almost 3 hours an d still took us to airport at scheduled time only to sit at airport for 5 hours. Good pools.5 in total. Beach good .ocean not very good. Muddly sand with algae. Nightly shows good.ecept 2 adjacent rui resorts party at night at our rui montego. Would rate a 4 out 5.

Riu Reggae: AMAZING RESORT

If you are looking for an entertaining resort then look no further than RIU Reggae. Very friendly staff, great food with plenty of options, nightly entertainment and the ability to also visit RIU Montego Bay, made this trip very enjoyable. Would recommend an ocean view room during your stay. Booking through trip central was easy and stress free. I would definitely recommend! 5+ stars for sure!

Riu Palace Jamaica: Amazing staff and service

The Rui Palace is a wonderful almost boutique like hotel with the best service and staff of any hotel I have stayed. The rooms are newly renovated and alway clean and welcoming. The food is delicious and diverse to satisfy different palettes and appetites. Only downside is the beach is not good and the airplanes noise from the airport is annoying at times .

great place. good food. good people. nice pool. beach was ok...I will return. the jerk chicken at the beach is the best. entertainment in the evening always had talented artists. .rooms are comfortable'. no complaints.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great vacation

This was our 2 time here and as usual it was a great vacation. Food was absolutely delicious especially at the Don Pablo and The Knife’s. The buffet had great food the 3 night we went many choices to choose from for everyone. We were lucky and got one of the newly renovated room. Only downside was our room was in building 18 which was directly across from the Wedding Reception Hall area and we had to listed to the music every night until 10:00 pm which was ok with us but not so much if you h [... read more]ave kids with you and wanted quietness. The beaches were nice the one by the kids pool was the best the other ones were ok. Lots of music at the pool which was great entertainment , the entertainment staff did a great job with the entertainment. The Jerk restaurant at the pool was amazing with great food. You definitely will need bug spray we got gotten several times thank goodness I had lotion with me for the bites after reading reviews. We did have a foul smell in our room which was the water it was bad at times but manageable. Overall we had a great time Don’t pay attention to the winers they are always trying to find anything to complain about, go there and enjoy

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica

The resort was a fantastic location. Clean facilities, the grounds were impeccable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The only fault I had was the beach immediately in front of the resort. While very clean and amazing views, the sand was quit rocky and difficult to walk on. Other then that, I would return in a second to this place and recommend it to anyone.

Riu Palace Jamaica: ENTERTAINMENT VERY GOOD

What an amazing week! Entertainment & Staff 20/10, this is the best part of this resort! Spider-Man, Bravo, Sparkie, Dr fun fun, starfire and even our pool bar bartender Paul absolutely made our week. Some even sit and chat with you and really make you feel welcome while creating a true friendship. Drinks 10/10. Food 8/10, didn’t try too many of the al a carte restaurants but the buffet was still great. Beach 8/10, not crystal clear but still nice. Rooms 8/10, nothing fancy but still nice with e [... read more]verything you need and a balcony in every room! Would recommend if you’re looking for a great time with friends or a partner. Being able to go to the neighbouring RIUs beside us was a huge plus but honestly we stayed at our resort most of the time because we loved it! The waterpark and club at the montego were great and some of the shows at the reggae were great. It’s great because you can go to their resort but they can’t come to the Palace. Go see my man Spider-Man and tell him somersault Paige sent you!

Riu Montego Bay: Pure dead magic

was there in October and back again in January, that's how much we loved the place. the rooms were large and very clean. the pools were great, the bars and restaurants had great selections of food. and drink. beach was good, plenty of room. finally the staff were fantastic. special mention to Chevelle and Patricia in the main dining room in the morning. both were great and had our table for us every morning ready with coffee and mimosas. Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Great time at Sandals Ochi

Beautiful grounds, awesome staff, good food. The first room we had was a bit run down and needed a reno. We mentioned this to the concierge and we were promptly moved to a renovated villa. The beach was gorgeous - a word of warning, take water shoes as the beach is very rocky and not kind to your feet.

Definitely go back to this resort friendly staff, great food, clean rooms Having five pools was amazing. You had your choice of quiet or busy great fun and entertainment every day. Check in and check out was a breeze!

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Grandiose resort

Well maintained 16 yr old building with all the amenities. I believe it is the 2nd largest resort in Jamaica. Picture shows the adult pool which has access to a rather little private beach where we came across a friendly barracuda. No end of other beach or pools. The 1,000 units are spread over the vast area and so the shuttle buses respond immediately to your beck and call if you need them. The 7 ala carte restaurants are excellent and the buffet is always there. The 1,600 member staff ho [... read more]vers over you for anything you desire. It is a 45 min ride from the airport but the traffic can add a 1/2 hr at times. Only complaint, the TV could not stream NetFlix or others and the Stingray audio did not come through. Much of the accommodations are 3 storey and we enjoyed our quiet and clean one.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Had an enjoyable time!

Had an enjoyable vacation at Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica. The rooms were clean and our requests for additional items was met. There was a variety of foods at the buffet and the a la cartes were great too. Had no difficulty booking a la carte meals. The grounds were really nice and well maintained. Nothing negative to mention about this resort

Ocean Eden Bay: It's Complicated

Hotel 9 out of 10 Food 7 out of 10 Evening entertainment.... in multiple locations Room Service great Beach --------- minus 1 ( rocks, tiny, not a lot of shady spots ) Most of the YouTube documentation don't show the beach, and for a good reason.

SeaGarden Beach Resort: Exactly as pictured

This resort was lovely and great value. The room was spacious and clean. Water in the shower needed to be run for a while to get hot water. The staff was friendly. Angie was stellar and her friendly face every morning greeting us at breakfast was a great way to start the day. The beach is pristine and the water was the perfect temp. Music played on the beach [... read more] made for a really fun and relaxing environment. The steel drum band was a highlight of the trip for me! I didn't use the pool at all because the beach is so perfect. It has a roped off cove that makes the whole beach have a very intimate feel. It looks exactly like the promo photos! You have to cross a small dead end road to get to the beach but there is a crossing guard, not that one is really necessary. I was concerned about this before going but I think it was a blessing in disguise having the beach separate from the rest of the resort. The food at the buffet is mostly Jamaican (jerk chicken, stewed beef, curried goat, fried white fish) and it was delicious but they do also have some American options like mac'n'cheese. The food on the beach was excellent and they served jerk chicken, cheeseburgers, fries, and some other options I didn't try. The jerk chicken on the beach was so tender and delicious! Best chicken I've had in recent memory. For breakfast there is also an omlette option and it served the best omlette I've ever had custom made in front of the guests. The disco/nightclub is small, which isn't a problem but the music was SO loud. Too loud. One night they had great music but then other nights the music was out of touch with the vibe of the guests. The drinks are made very strongly. I personally like some coke in my rum and cokes so I was a little put off, but I'm sure this would be a good thing for some people. The hotel coffee is terrible. Luckily the resort is only a 10 minute walk from a Starbucks at a brisk pace. Overall I had a very positive stay here and I would come back in a heartbeat!

Azul Beach Resort Negril: Resort was okay

The room that we had was very nice (honeymoon suite). Grounds were well taken care of and overall cleanliness was good. The majority of the staff were nice and always willing to help. We did, however, have an unpleasant experience when we checked in. After a 5 hour bus ride from the airport that was supposed to be only 2, the front desk person who checked us in was very rude and unwelcoming. She spelt our last name wrong and when I pointed it out to her, she grabbed the tablet away from me. Not  [... read more]a very good first impression of the property - that's for sure. We tried all 3 of the specialty restaurants and the food was not what we would have expected at a 5-star resort. The dinner buffet was hit and miss - some times good and other times, not so good. They had roast beef on the buffet one night and it was so tough, you couldn't cut it with a knife. The wait staff were great - no issues there. The breakfast buffet was good as well as the lunch BBQ on the beach. We were disappointed that there weren't enough lounges for everyone on the beach. You had to get up at 6:30 am to put a towel on a lounge - again, something I wouldn't expect at a 5-star resort. Also, staff were allowing guests to reserve more lounges and sunbeds then they needed. For example, we saw a couple using a large sunbed as well as 2 lounges and an umbrella when there were other guests who couldn't find anywhere to sit. I read comments on FaceBook that people were giving staff money to hold chairs for them - definitely a practice that needs to be addressed by management. Experience with bars okay overall.
