Ocean Blue and Sand: It was good

The resort has a nice layout and interesting and fun things to do. The staff in the restaurants and bars were efficient and very friendly. We had issue with our door keys but they were fairly quick to rectify. The luggage took a while to get to our room even though the recetion/check-in area was not. We received face cloths on only 1 day and the last day we had zero towels, zero. The rest of our issues were with Sunwing.

Ocean El Faro: Hotel

Hotel was good, staff weren’t friendly some of the waitresses in the food court were so depressed I couldn’t enjoy food, even I always tip them they didn’t give smile. The beach was terrible. The room was good the furniture was broken.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Nice resort

If you want a simple small resort this is good to go to. Very nice resort layout and rooms. Beach not all great but once in the water it’s great. Very good staff. Entertainment for a small resort was fantastic. Two pools were fantastic and warm. Excellent pools.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Fun girls trip!

I loved this resort! The entire resort and rooms are very beautiful and clean. The staff was very friendly. I really enjoyed the food as well especially the tepanyaki restaurant and the steakhouse. I was unfortunately not able to try the Italian because it was closed most nights I was there but you can definitely find other places to eat and they were all delicious. The pool was a bit warm but very nice and clean. Overall I would absolutely recommend this resort and come back to it.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Beautiful huge resort

The food was amazing although we were only there a short time for business so we ate at the buffet. Room service was excellent and prices were very reasonable All the staff were very polite and professional, from lobby to security The grounds are beautifully manicured and well kept The room was an amazing surprise for the size and decor. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Wonderful resort

Was very real looked after, food was amazing. The only thing l didn’t like was the fact it was so far from anything & the nitely entertainment was not anything to be excited about & not a lot of activities to do in the day time! The staff was very friendly.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Worth the wait!

After two and a half years of waiting to feel safe enough to travel we finally made it to Mexico once again! Upon arriving at Cancun airport we were pleased to see a small transfer van which took us directly to Ocean Coral & Turquesa Hotel. Room was on ground floor which was perfect as one of our trio has mobility issues and the elevator does not work that well. Once you figure out the reservation system on the app (you still have to call guest services for reservation code?? ) all four a la carte restaurants were great, especially liked the Italian and Japanese cuisine. Because the beaches were not walkable and the ocean devastated by the Sargassum seaweed in most of this area we never saw anyone on the beach and only a few brave souls in the water. They work so hard to try to manage this but afraid it is a losing battle. We so wanted to see the beautiful crystal clear turquoise water this area is famous for that we booked a tour via Sunwing rep to visit Isle Mujeres. This was one of the most professionally run tours and beautiful ways to see the island; catamaran trip and snorkling then to private beach & restaurant. The water was clear and pristine and lovely. Most staff at the hotel were so helpful and accommodating - maid service terrific. The bartender at the pool bar clearly could use help as he was doing his best to keep up with the party crowds requests that he just ignored anyone else at the bar. Always felt safe and comfortable at this hotel and for the first time in over 2 years didn't worry about Covid concerns.

Ocean El Faro: Amazing resort

We were there as a group of 8 & I personally don't have any complaints. We had the swim out rooms & they were fantastic, highly recommended. Service by all staff was very good & accommodating. All of the restraunts & spa/ gym, store are on the main strip as soon as you come out of the beautiful lobby area. You don't have to go searching for any of the restaurants or services, it's all right there. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Ocean Coral and Turquesa good resort

Resort was very good. Pool side entertainment was great. Buffet was good. Italian dinner good, Japanese was very good and entering. Route 66 excellent burgers, great onions rings good fries. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean resort. Only downfall was the seaweed. It was horrible you could not go in the Ocean and we love the Ocean. We made do with the pools.. had a great time.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Absolute Paradise!!

An AMAZING resort!! Grounds: It is so airy and fresh and clean. The grounds are immaculately kept. The main lobby is beautiful and the air conditioning is perfect. There was no garbage anywhere. And the restrooms were always clean. Staff: The staff are so friendly- always smiling. William, Lily, Leo, Santi, many bartenders, Pablo, Daniella. We ate at La Loncanda, Steakhouse, Sakura, Privilege Lounge, and the buffet Amaranto, and the ice cream parlour. So happy with the variety and our butler made our reservations so we didn’t have to wait (Privilege Service). Beach: The sargassum (seaweed) sucks. But they tried their best with having people cleaning up as best they could. That’s a nature thing. But we did go in the water still. The ocean water is still awesome. Pools & Entertainment: We loved the Privilege pool since it wasn’t rowdy. Very relaxing. The pool itself is nice. There was always something going on at the other pools. It seemed that everyone was having fun. If you wanted to relax, you could. If you wanted activity, you got it. Overall: I highly, HIGHLY recommend this resort. It was so clean and the service was exceptional. I appreciate how the staff still wore masks and there was still a sense of vigilance in keeping the place clean. But we didn’t feel like we were restricted in any way. I can’t wait to go back.

Very disappointed with this property Elevators didn't work They tried to put us on 4th floor in a room in dire need of updating which I changed Requested a king bed. Not available No A/C in Buffet all week Service was mediocre at best Never go back

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort!

This resort is starting to get dated, but still offered all the amenities and good service to make our stay a memorable one. The worst part would have to be the beach as it was overtaken by seaweed. I thought that all resorts in the Mayan Riviera had the same issue but saw photos of family and friends that stayed at different resorts which were able to clean the beach to make it swimmable. Luckily my kids were more focused on the swimming pools…

Ocean El Faro: Terrible resort , need better management

Very nice hotel but this only good about this place. Food is terrible, service is terrible. Have experienced rudeness at the beach barcause letters on bracelet wear off , towel person gave us look.. like what is it that we want from her? , then food is always cold ,quality of meat terrible,stakes is very oily.beach is very rocky. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

Very nice resort. I understand pushing hotels clubs and times shares but pretending my brothers room was not ready in order for us to stay through a discussion on the hotel club was a big turn off. The not enough chairs around pool and beach was crazy unless you got up at 5:30 and saved chairs you were pretty much out of luck for the day. Now the worst is the seaweed. So much seaweed I know its not the hotels fault but using the tractor to clean some of it during the day caused the worst smell  [... read more]ever. Ocean El Faro: Great resort!

Really beautiful all around. Spectacular room, lobby, restaurants, beach, activities, and amenities. Waterpark for kids was NOT a disappointment. There is a soliciting/selling ruse going on there regarding their “privilege club” that put a downer in our stay when approached but thats the only negative aspect. The ladies that ran the kids club went above and beyond for the kids. The shows at night were a pretty big production and were EVERY night! It had a bar, was so much fun and lots of shade while you're in there so can go even when the sun is at its strongest.

Ocean Coral Spring: Not what we expected

Not a 5 star resort. We booked a privilege suite thinking it would enhance our experience and it seemed to make no difference other than being about to go to one of the only three restaurants we enjoyed. Privileged lounge, red snapper and sugar cane. The other restaurants were terrible and the service was so rude. We waited an hr and half at Route 66 only to get cold beef brisket with no sides. When I asked the on server at Route 66 about chicken nuggets she said it would take awhile of them to come out…. Kids should get served first no matter where you are. The kind server at sugar cane understood that and we super fast and even recommended chicken nuggets for my infant right away. Winston at the privilege lounge was excellent, everyone we came across in the privilege lounge was very nice and polite it felt like we were on a different resort. Same with the Red Snapper everyone was extremely polite and helpful. Anastacia our house keeper was amazing and very polite and friendly. She always did a wonderful job! Everything nice and clean and tidy. Especially with the two kids she was a big help. Malane is a wonderful bartender at the beach, great conversations and a kind person. To get a hold of someone seems almost impossible takes a minimum of 3mins for someone to answer the phone unless you call reception then they get mad you called them instead of who ever your trying to get a hold of. Running out of food items is a huge one here. Every restaurant we went to Atleast something off the menu we couldn’t have because they were out off. I think that’s more management then anything. The only reason this hotel is getting stars is because of those wonderful people mentioned above and the beautiful view. I must say the hotel is very clean and the life guards plus the blue group do an excellent job as well! Hopefully you can work on your customer service and food preparation. Also give what you promised a privilege guest.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: amazing resort

I was very please with this hotel the grounds are beautiful the beach not so much as there's loads of seaweed at the moment but still can go in .....the hotel has many restaurants and all the food I ate from room service to the restaurant and buffet are 10 out of 10 perfect dishs Flavor portions great I was in the elbso side adult's only I had swim out the swim out need a great clean but they did clean when there I used it all morning and afternoons in the pool I have to say I travel a lot and [... read more] the booze at this hotel is not watered down love it the rooms are clean and done twice a day I don't have one bad thing to say I definitely will go back 😀

Ocean Blue and Sand: Nothing extraordinary

To say the least the hotel is ok. Nothing to write about that is out of the ordinary. Food is ok. There are variety of prepared meals for everyone. A la cart restaurants do not need reservation but wait in the evening could be long (1-2hours) so in my opinion it would be better to book restaurants so you can plan where and what to eat throughout week. The only restaurant that required reservation is Sensai (japanese). There were evenings that half of the restaurants were closed so you do not kno [... read more]w where you are going to end up for dinner. In all restaurants (closed spaces) masks are required and most people followed the rules. Staff wears masks everywhere even outside. Gloves were handed to guests at the entrance of the buffet so nothing was touched by bare hands. Staff was disinfecting tables and chairs after each person. One annoying thing about hotel was pool and beach chairs. People would reserve them early in the morning (leave towels on them) so if you come to pool or beach around 9,10 there is no free sunbed. It seemed that there is more hotel guests then available chairs. Room is clean but a few issues that we come across are : no hangers in the closet, safe was not operational, we got coffee pack and cups in the room but no coffee maker, no hair dryer ( only after 2 complains to different staff we got it). We also had to ask for towels to be replaced. Staff is friendly and helpful but some of them do not speak a word of English so no use of talking to them about issues. Pools and ground is well maintained All in all we had restfull vacation and I did not want to get upset over small things.

Amazing interior and exterior design of grounds , buildings and rooms.The white Birds nesting on the edge of the grounds is a huge highlight. Must experience the beautiful birds. Beach sand was always littered with Garbage and cigarette butts. Hot tub on the adult side wasn't working which was a huge disapointment. No where near enough shade or sheltar so sunburn and rain soak is inevitable unless you stay indoors. Don't pay extra for the Adults Only because children are still everywhere do [... read more]ing whatever they want. Perfect size resort to get around. Kid's swim amenities looked amazing. Food is served cold which for some dishes, borders on revolting. Restaurants proved to be a complicated 2 to 3 hour wait for equally unappetizing food. We were hungry most of the time. Staff range from cool and removed to completely irritated to have guests. Never heard so many blunt " No"s .The party staff at the adult pool were aggressive past the line of appropriate. They were actually physically pulling, pushing and shoving drinking people into things they don't want to do.. that looks like a disaster waiting to happen. The drinks were mysterious recipies of what seemed like left over cheap liqour. Never had a margarita, martini etc made out of whatever odd ingredients were laying around and never tasted the same twice. Beds were very comfy and the huge showers are very luxurious at the end of the day. Check in and out were smooth and orderly. There are no extras, no welcome drinks or greetings, no smiling service, nothing friendly and nothing to add any special feel or interest.
