Sunscape Splash: Great Family Fun!!

Thank you so much tripcentral-there were no hiccups and everything worked out accordingly!! A BIG shout out to all the staff at the Sunscape Splash, you were all absolutely amazing..We found the staff friendly, energetic and always willing to go out of there way to help. The grounds were immaculate and the food was tasty!! We loved the Portofino a la carte -the food was just delicious! The water park equipped with a lazy river was fun for the whole family but the kids especially loved this add [... read more]ed bliss. The snorkeling was outstanding! We brought our own equipment and spent hours looking/seeing all sorts of fish. There's alot of seeweed so bring your water shoes. Everything was kinda perfect. We'll definitely return! Sunscape Curacao Resort: Sunscape resort spa and casino curaçao

Just returned from sunscape curaçao had no complaints everything was great from food to weather to hotel staff very friendly safe resort any request was taken care of in timely manner. Evening and afternoon activities were very good. First time being at a resort that had no reservations for dinner but gave pagers when it was our turn. Would return to this resort again

excellent family resort, amazing kids club. great food. we had no hot water but quickly got upgraded to an ocean view at no extra expense. The place is wonderful no one bothers you on the beach. The beach is a little rocky and lots of sea weed. great selections of pools for all different ages. extremely clean and friendly place to stay

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Fabulous week - great resort!

I just returned from a glorious week at the Sunscape Puerto Plata. I have enjoyed this resort in the past under the previous ownership but the recent renovations have made a great resort even better. The food is fabulous - we mostly ate at the buffet, but also went to the Italian twice and the Grill. All of the food venues offered great quality and service. Having a coffee maker in the rooms is a nice addition as is the TV. (Any chance of getting CNN in English?). It was great not having the ann [... read more]oyance of wristbands and needing advanced reservations at the a la cartes - smart move! I am always touched by how sincere the Dominican staff are and how hard they try to accommodate your every need. They are incredible and really make the vacation! The gym is a great addition as are the Zumba and dance sessions at the end of the afternoon. LOVED the CoCo coffee lounge - staff are lovely as are the products!! We also loved your music choice throughout the resort - keep that for sure. You're doing a great job Sunscape. See you next year! Sunscape Splash: Great time!

We had a wonderful time at the resort. The MOD was very accommodating and all the staff was very pleasant. The kids loved the pool and the grounds were very clean so we're the rooms. I would definitely recommend this resort to families.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: great beach

beach is a highlight if that is important. to get a beach hut / umbrella have a get to the beach early in the morning. Not to many on the beach....... a must if you like the shade. No shade around the pools.

Sunscape Splash: You get what you pay for

The hotel view was nice, however the hallway had a mouldy smell, there were bugs in my bathroom so we showered in the other room we had. Most of the staff were nice except the person who refills your beverage he was quite rude. Food was ok, lots of things to choose from. It's an old hotel but if you're looking for a basic family vacation then you should go. I wouldn't go back, I'd rather pay a bit more for cleaner bug free accommodations.

Sunscape Splash: Loads of fun

When we first arrived, we were quite disappointed with the room, was tiny, and really not much to look at, we ended up upgrading to a suite and were extremely happy. The resort was very clean and very well maintained. Food was good, although, the food at the buffet was always the same. The à la cart restaurants were fanulous

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Do not stay here – for many reasons

1. Staff do not care, they are there to collect a paycheck only 2. Out of the entire week, we had our minibar stocked once and it should be daily 3. No restaurant reservations are allowed – first come first serve 4. Grounds need A LOT of work, especially the pools 5. Food is ok, not great 6. Room service – terrible, and that’s putting it nicely 7. Seems like no one wants to help you, they send you to someone else to figure out 8. The only time they called us, was the day we were che [... read more]cking out “When can we pick up your bags?” Spend your money at another resort, if I was the owner of this establishment I would be ashamed and embarrassed.

Sunscape Cove: Only good if have kids

The hotel was ok for kids, if you like to do things on your own and not much organization in events and no music in most parts so you hear the guy chipping concrete on the pool deck all day. Rooms ok, nothing special. Food horrible at Buffett but good at al a cartes. Jerk chicken on the beach and drinks were the highlight. Don't stay here if you want a nice beach! Very rocky and seaweed. Good on a budget.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great Place

Sunscape in Puerto Plata was wonderful. Foam Party every Saturday...SO MUCH FUN!! Evelyn at the Explorers Club was amazing and treated our daughter like her own child! We stayed on the first floor of building 10. I loved it! Came right out to pool, bar, food and close to entertainment. Very nice beach to walk on!...but not clear or good for swimming. Food at buffet was good..not great. Italian restaurant was excellent! Entertainment area was always packed and easy to socialize. Drinks were fine, [... read more] nothing special. Small resort, so not great for long strolls..but good for being close to everything the resort had to offer. Paid $20 CDN outside the front entrance for a horse/carriage ride down the street towards the mountain and to an outdoor market..was a small journey but a beautiful view! Would rate the resort 3.5 stars.

Sunscape Dominican Beach: Awesome spot & highly recommend!

Great food! Loved the variety of salad offered at the restaurants & burgers, steak or chicken. Pizza Shop always available & drinks at poolside were most delicious. Rooms were very lovely, great king bed in our room as well as bar fridge stocked at no extra charge. Air conditioning worked awesome and could be adjusted easily. Lovely balcony to relax on in evening should you wish to. ✔️😊😊👍🏽

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Excellent

I enjoyed the resort. It was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The main downside was the fact that you could not make diner arrangements ahead of times. Having to wait in line every night hoping to get a table before 9hoo was frustrating. Also the nighttime entertainment could have been more exciting.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Amazing Resort

Great Spot, very friendly staff, Helpful....Everyone spoke English my safe had to be reset and my phone was not working. within five minutes one gent came to my room and fixed the phone as well another fellow fixed my safe. very clean, nice rooms, shopping, restaurants, bars, clubs, casino literally across the street. walk down the beach seafood restaurants, massage tents, would recommend it great value

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Sunscape week

The hotel is older but well taken care of. The service is outstanding. It's so nice not to have to book for the a la carte dining rooms. Nice shopping mall in the building. The weather was just what we ordered!

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Needs work

grounds were beautiful; beach and water were breath taking. Food was okay; 6 of the 9 people in our group developed food poisoning to which the hotel staff were less then kind about. The rooms were disgusting!!!!

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Good resort. Good value

Sunscape is a solid value for the money. The rooms are clean and well looked after. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. There is not a great variety of food but it was good quality. The beach is basically a lagoon which is wonderful for small children. The town is a short bus ride away (or hotel shuttle) which is very nice.Overall I would rate Sunscape as a solid 3.5 to 4 star resort.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Wonderful Christmas Escape

Friendly staff most of whom speak excellent English. This is an older resort but they are always working to maintain it. Unfortunately, the roof of the buffet leaked the day we arrived which resulted in it being closed for several days with food being prepared and served on the pool deck. Rooms were clean but basic. Our room had an air conditioning unit that was either on or off with no temperature controls. Apparently this is not the case in every room. Good variety of food, but somewhat  [... read more]limited options for vegan. While there are not supposed to be reservations at any of the a la-carte restaurants, one night at the Bluewater Grill there was a number of tables that had been reserved through the lobby and this resulted in a number of people being turned away. When we requested to speak with a manager, a few tables were freed up. This is a definite inconsistency in policy. As well on both Christmas and New Year's Eve they were encouraging people to purchase bottles of wine which then meant that they would reserve a table for you.

I was at the resort in December with my family. It was a great resort. Small but friendly. The beach was clean and the rooms were a good size. I would definitely recommend this resort to others and I would come back again!

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Favourite family holiday!

This is a fairly small resort, so you really get to know the staff. They definitely go above and beyond, to make you feel happy! The rooms were large and comfortable. There is enough variety in the food to please everybody. It rained everyday, but only for a few minutes. There is great shopping within walking distance at Mambo beach. Also the aquarium, is only a ten minute walk away from the resort. Sunscape also provides free shuttles to Willamstead. A must see is the swinging bridge!! Th [... read more]e beach was our favourite part! The water is crystal clear! The snorkeling equipment is free, and very good quality. The variety of fish you see is breath taking! We were a group of eight, family and friends. Our ages ranged from 19 to 56. We all had a fantastic time at Sunscape!
