Awesome!!

The grounds, service, hospitality - top notch! Best in Cuba by far!! - This was my 2nd time staying at the resort, but never had the Royal Service the first time. I would take Royal Service again in a heart beat. My mom and I went for mother's day and staff were very helpful with her getting around the resort. Always someone there offering my mom a ride. No waits for restaurant tables, pool chairs, etc. No getting up at 5am to put a towel on your chair - absolutely wonderful!!

Beautiful resort

Very friendly staff, bent over backwards to fulfil every request. Snack bar, buffett, al la cart restaurants, all great. The wine served is awesome. The waiters and waitresses were so friendly. Great to be able to cash money daily at the hotel

Great honeymoon

The resort was very nice, we had an ocean view room, very nice people, great service! The beach was excellent but very windy, the only problem we had was that there were not enough chairs to sit unless you got one early enough.

Beyond Expectations!

Very pretty and well maintained resort. Food was very good and lot's of choices. Beaches were specatacular. Service was great as were the bartenders and maids. Only complaint was the bathroom off the main foyer entrance often had no paper and should be cleaned more often as it's a very busy thoroughfare. The entertainment was amazing!

Excellent resort with friendly staff

Strongly reccomended. Amazing beach. Royal Service. Excellent a-la-cart restaurants. Excellent music bands at the beach restaurant for lunch. Outstanding customer service: Ms. Odima, Ms. Nidia, and Mr. Felix.

One of the best!!!

This is one of the best resort we have been at and was definitely worth the extra compared to other resort in Cuba and the food was really good. Everyone went the extra mile to provide excellent service. First resort that I see plenty of chairs, so not need to rush to the beach to save a spot. We had a late evening flight, so the concierge even arranged for an a la carte diner before we left. Truly a worry free vacation!! Beautiful Resort

Clean, well maintained, nice pool & great beach. Disappointed with the food - Most of the food at buffet wasn't marked as to what it was. Service in one a la carte was NOT acceptable (2 hours). Staff was very helpful & friendly. Entertainment was good.

A great get away

The resort was really enjoyable - the food was great, the staff were lovely and the accommodations were good (poor water pressure in the showers was the biggest complaint) I would return to this resort in a heart beat

Excellent relaxing vacation

the resort was clean including all activities. the staff was very attentative and the food was very good for the most part. The beach was outstanding and it was a very relaxing vacation. resort had everything but was small enough to get everywhere quickly

Spontaneous vacay * success. Ready 4 my next trip!

Beach is quite a walk from the room. This resort is quieter. Ud hear music only whn theres beach aerobics.or pool aerobics. I say this is perfect for a more mature crowd. No drunks or rowdy crowds. The pool is clean and well maintained.you will only geTa pool lounge chair if u reserve early morn otherwise. No good seat for u. The majic show and the cuban show are the best. The ROOMS are clean and spacious. Somewhat stale smell at first..the furniture need an upgrade ..all older style. Were overlooking a tennis court. Nothing grandeur. The extra tours are a must . Unless ur content staying in the hotel with your partner all day just eating n sitting by pool or inside bedroòm. This hotel is almost at the end of strip so ud be first to be pick up n last drop off. The GYM . They basically have everything. U can work out and feel less guilty eating. Its a pleasant stay overall. If u like younger party crowd. Ud find this place tooo quiet .if u like peaceful 7 days . you're in the right place

Fabulous resort!

Outperformed our expectations! The resort is very clean, the pool area is very relaxing, the beach was awesome........the a la cartes are amazing, the main buffet always had a somewhat different approach every day...would go back in a heartbeat.

Wonderful Adults Only Resort to stay in Varadero

We have stayed at this resort 3 times and we love it! It is our favourite place to stay in Cuba. We have become friends with many of the amazing & hard working staff. We are upgraded to the new buildings and they are modern and are close to the beach. We were able to experience the new Royal Service on our last stay and ate at their restaurant and the food & service was wonderful! You cannot stay there without going to the teppanyaki restaurant (ask for Emedio). It is a ton of food but worth eve [... read more]ry morsel. So entertaining and interactive and makes for a fun night! You site with others so it is nice to meet new friends! Also visit the 24 hour snack bar for a great hamburger and Yicel's famous banana mamas.The resort is always clean but as with most visits to Cuba (no fault of the resorts) they can run out of supplies and certain types of food. The buffet is very good with a wide variety of dishes and theme nights. They could change things up a tad but there are many choices to select from. I have never had a bad food experience at this resort nor any of the other places in Cuba as we have been 7 times and are returning to the Paradisus Pricess Del Mar for a 3rd April in a row in 2015. The beach is beautiful with many spots and great for walking. You feel safe here but the security is not "in your face". It is almost at the end of all of the hotels along the beach so it is nice. If you want to venture into Varadero (highly recommended) it is easy to get an antique taxi and the great guys at the front will help out with that for you. The only downfall with this resort is the gym does not open until 7 am and I enjoy a very early work out so i can be on the beach early. I do participate in beach activities and my husband plays beach volleyball everyday.They do not have a large number of a la carte restauants and we only go to a few but the meals are always enjoyable. I can go on and on LOL. I always refer this resport to friends who want to visit Cuba and a few have gone and thanked me for sending them there. Overall if you are wanting to experience a wonderful adults only resort with amazing staff & service then you have to visit here.

A very relaxing, enjoyable stay.

This was our second time at the Paradisus Princess Del Mar. Our junior suite was located on the ground floor, and we enjoyed sitting on our patio drinking cuba libras. The room was spacious, and the shower was large enough for the two of us. It was perfect. The young woman who kept our room tidy was pleasant, and always ready to provide extra towels, glasses, etc. For a fee we could keep our room past the check-out time and enjoy the beach on that last day. Just before we left we could shower be [... read more]fore we went home. The Paradisus beach is quite wide, and we had a lot of space from the public area. This is also an adult resort, so there weren't any children . Food in at the buffet was abundant. My favorite was the ice cream, and home made bread. The best cappuccinos were made in the lobby bar, and the Rock House. The Rock house is open 24/7 and served pizza, club sandwiches as well as eggs in the morning. The staff were friendly and happy to serve us. The Club House was a 24/7 restaurant the last time we stayed at the Paradisus. now they serve Tapas,coffee and drinks. A nice place to sit and be served. The French a la carte restaurant served the best beef we had ever eaten in Cuba. We did take an excursion to the Bay of Pigs. We drove across Cuba and saw places we had not seen before. This included a tour of a crocodile farm. Lunch was included, and was excellent.

Not what we expected!

We were not impressed. The grounds were unkept and dirty. The rooms were also run down, mold, dead bugs on the walls and little bugs all over the bed and desk area. Called the front desk at 7:30 to complain about the bugs in the bed and was told to wait till 9 a.m. the chamber maids start only then.

Beautiful resort!

Very nice, quiet, friendly adults only, resort - Staff, very friendly and helpful. Lots of space to sit around in the shade, and read or swim - beach nearby - nice facilities to wash sand off the feet before returning to room.

Paradise!

This was my 4th trip to Cuba but my boyfriends first and we both loved the resort and location! we upgraded to Royal Service which we reommend, food great , people great. all around fantastic holiday!

Great Beach

Resort was undergoing construction & our room was quite near the mess, but it should be finished by now. Lovely beach, good food, good entertainment, nice pools and activities - we enjoyed our stay very much, despite construction noise.

Paradisus Princess Del Mar

First time to Cuba after numerous Caribbean and Mexican holidays, and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were lovely and clean and the food was amazing-- especially Cuban night when they served half lobsters on the grill! The pools and grounds were beautiful. One favorite thing about the resort was the talented entertainment in the evening. The people working were gracious and hospitable. The only complaint I can think of is the bathrooms off the lobby. Good time but staff needs an overhaul in attitude

The resort says and we paid for Ocean view, but it was fight to get once we were there . The staff do not smile or welcome you. Chairs are scarce around the pool and the beach. Only stay in the new #6 building. On the good side. Sunwing's staff was a great help. Food was excellent for Cuba. I wish people would learn some manners and etiquette on buffet manners. The trip to Havana was worth it. The show to Tropicana was not great for me but most enjoyed it. It was a long but good day. The beach is fantastic. We made many friends at this resort. I hope they upgrade their rooms , then i would go back . But with out improving the rooms, I would not. The price does not justify the run down rooms. The cigar bar and piano bar were good The line up for the al carts was just a waste of time. At an adult only resort you should be able to book these in a better fashion and not waste your valuable vacation time in lines.

Great Holiday

Hotel was very nice. Original room we were given was awful but we were put in a newer section after speaking with staff and that room was lovely. This was our first time to Cuba. The beach was amazing staff friendly and food was fine for us. We would go back again.
