Wonderful Holiday!

The resort was beautiful and very big. So big that my husband and I had trouble finding our way the first day or 2. The food was delicious and there was quite a variety. We also enjoyed the 4 a la cartes as well. While the room was lovely and very clean, it was very musty smelling. As a matter of fact, I had to wash our winter coats a few times and then hang them outside to get the smell out. The staff were friendly and very helpful at all times.

Fantastic resort

we loved our stay at the grand bahia principe coba, the grounds were beautiful well kept and well designed. the rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. there was a great selection of very good food and drinks

Treated Very Well - Love Mexico

Fourth Visit - The resort is big, keep very clean, and I would go back. Lots of families with children - didn't bother me. The food was fine, but they did have alot of their pre-book restaurants closed this time and the 24 hour bar also closed.......

The best all inclusive i have been to

This is our go to resort. The staff are amazing and one of the managers is always there to answer your questions or hear of any problems you may have. Room requests are handled promptly with a follow up call to insure that your requests were taken care of. There is a trolley service hat you can use to get from one place to another as it is a large complex but we were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to be. the beach is beautiful and the entertainment staff try to keep you active or y [... read more]ou can just relax. You are allowed a certain number of gourmet restaurant's depending on your booking and I suggest don't this in advance and if you prefer the buffet is great. This is our go to place in Mexico

Won't go back

This was once a great property however it has gone downhill over the last year. The air conditioning in the room was intermittent with no dehumidifier so the room was extremely damp, the sheets as night were cold and damp, there was an infestation of mosquitos. I have so many bites I had to go to the doctor. The beach had seaweed a foot high and 3' deep from the water. We were in the Golden Club with a priority exclusive check in, when we arrived we were left standing out in from of the main lob [... read more]by for 20 minutes with no explanation. They were waiting for a trolley to take us to the Golden Club, it should have been there waiting for us, our arrival was expected. The trolleys run with no apparent organization and the drivers don't speak English so getting around is extremely difficult. The 24 hour room service consisted of a snack bar that is open 24hours, no getting morning coffee & juice. When I asked I was told there is a coffee machine in the room with coffee mate, and I could get juice at the buffet, this is unacceptable for advertised 24 hour room service. The adult quiet pool by our room, had a bar open but they closed it and told us we could walk down to the snack bar for drinks, because no one was there the adults only was not enforced and we soon ended up with a lot of small children. The staff try very hard and are extremely friendly but very few speak English. The spa was one of the bright lights, it is very good. The food at the buffet has a good selection but the hours are difficult unless you are an early riser which I am not on vacation. It closed breakfast at 10:30am and didn't reopen until 12:30 for lunch with the only option being the snack bar in between. I'm not interested in eating a hamburger or hotdog for breakfast. They also have a very high pressure sales team for the Prestige Club located right outside the washrooms in the lobby, they are very aggressive and unrelenting. After saying no to the 90 minute presentation which was actually over 3 hours as we heard from several people who did attend, we had a note left at our room and calls to the room. I would not ever go to this resort again and I would no recommend it to anyone. It is operating at a 3 star level, not the 5 star as advertised

This is the best resort we have ever been to. Cannot get over the cleanliness of the washrooms, buffet, ala carte restaurants and of course our room. The staff work non stop to keep everything so clean, it is amazing. The staff could not be more friendly or do enough for you, and the management went over and above while we were there to make our Anniversary a special day. We were disappointed in the beach, rocky with lots of seaweed but that is nature, not the fault of the resort.

Great Resort for Kids

I know other travelers like to pick at little things to be dissatisfied with. The only unfortunate thing during our stay was that the beaches were too wavy too swim with our little ones and there was a lot of seaweed on the beaches each day. But we just stayed and played in the pools. The waterpark was simply amazing for our 2 year-old. She had so much fun on the slides everyday. Staff even went out of there way to bring us carton of milk for the little one's bottles. The food at the al a cartes were absolutely excellent. I had some of the best flank steak I've ever had at the Tequila (Mexican) one and at the Brazilian, the meat just kept coming until you flipped the card to red. The resorts grounds were clean and our room was as well. No bugs, no mold that other people have complained about. The resort is just really really big. Be prepared to take their tram buses everywhere, especially to the beach. Staff were always friendly and accommodating. Overall I would definitely consider returning to this resort if we travel again with our little one. If we travel alone, I might consider the Tulum resort or Akumal just to be closer to the beach and a little quieter.

nothing particular, 4 star hotel sold for 5 stars. Rooms need update, service is good, hotel is clean, food is good.beach is very unpleasant and distant, you have to take e a trolley to travel. take golden option, if possible.

Well managed resort

Beautiful complex with attention paid to cleanliness and great hospitality. We felt well taken care of by courteous staff and appreciated the food quality and variety offered each and every day at the buffet.

Restful, relaxing vacation... just what I needed!

I can't say enough about this resort! The staff were helpful and courteous at all times. We were always greeted with smile. The grounds were lovely and well kept and the rooms were clean and well maintained.

Huge resort

First time in Mexico. We loved it! Resort was huge! Everything was extremely clean, rooms grounds, etc. Staff were excellent! It is quite a way to the beach (five minute drive) but shuttles are excellent. We mainly hung out by the pool. They were never crowded and we never had any trouble getting a lounge chair. Also enjoyed the food. Ate at the coba main buffet and also the other resort tullum main buffet. A la cartes were also great:)

Fun Vacation at Coba

The Coba is the lesser of the four resorts in the Bahia complex and by staying there we did not have access to the luxury Akumal. The staff was great, food good, kids activities plentiful but the Coba pool was very crowded, the beach area we were confined to was inferior, and the rooms were tired. Fun but not 5 stars.

Money well spent

We just returned from this resort and would return as a couple. The grounds are very well kept and look lovely. The rooms are spacious suites - in very good condition. There is lots of variety in the food selection and quality was very good. Although we did not travel with children there did not appear to be much there for teens. Lots for children under age 10. Fantastic resort!!!

This resort was simply amazing. I went down with my boyfriend last week and I do not understand the people who gave the resort bad reviews.Every aspect was perfect! pools, beach, food, staff, we loved it all and can't wait to go back. This was our first trip to Mexico and it was one to remember.

Nice resort for the price

Nice resort, very clean rooms, good food. Weather was ok, could have been a touch warmer but good enough. Only complaint is that its far from airport, 2hr drive. Not ideal if travelling with kids. Otherwise the resort represents excellent value.

First Family Vacation

My husband has been to this resort twice, this being his third time, my first. We have a 7 month old son and were hesitant on how he would handle being out of routine. I must say I was completely blown away how the staff had went above and beyond to accommodate us. Everything from giving us a crib, to finding food that he could eat, giving us extra water bottles for formula and washing his bottles, playing with him and just being overall friendly. If I had to find a fault my ONLY thing would be that the beach area was a little rocky... But it wasn't anything a pair or sandals couldn't fix. We will definitely be going back next winter.

All around great trip!

We had a great stay at the bahia Coba. The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. The food was great. Our two daughters loved the waterpark and we spent time there everyday. My only complaint would be that the pools were very cold.

Amazing Resort

Everything was 5 star. Rooms were so clean and nice. Housekeeping made cool towel origami everyday. Food was 5 star in the buffet and the fine dining restaurants.Service was exceptional and super friendly. Lots of fun activities going on throughout the day. The breakwater allowed ocean swimming everyday and the reef out front had some beautiful fish and coral to see. Shopping in the hacienda was good. the trams run all the time so it was no problem getting around. The disco was good too. Good resort

This resort is large and has very good amenities, but the beach is quite far away and is on the rocky side. The pools are great with an activities pool and two swim up bar pools. There is also a whirlpool are separate from the rest. The restaurants are good with great ambiance. The buffet is terrific and has a great variety. The grounds are very well kept and the rooms are quite nice. The staff are helpful but the staff for entertainment are a bit quiet and sparse. Great vacation

Gran Bahia Principe Tulum is amazing place to stay, directly on Beach, grounds are immaculate and has atmosphere of small village. Very easy to walk around, Palm trees and flowers line them which give a tranquil feeling.
