Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Beautiful resort.

Stayed at this resort for 3 weeks. Very clean. Continually sanitizing. Beautiful grounds, pool and beach. We thought the food was great. The staff was amazing. Guest services was so helpful. Katia our housekeeper was the very best. Was a pleasure to see Lisandra and Yusanvni.(Sorry about spelling.) as our severs in the buffet, so welcoming everyday. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: I won't be visiting this place or anywhere in Cuba!

Where shall I start....yes, the bed bugs. I was covered head to toe - literally. They sprayed the bed twice, changed my pillow and eventually changed my mattress. Toilet in our room did not flush. I had to manually reset the pump each time. Power went out twice with no generator back up. No running water anywhere one morning. There was only one functioning toilet on the resort at each of the nearby restaurants. The other stalls either didn't flush or you couldn't close the door for privac [... read more]y. The hinges didn't line up! Bring a screwdriver if you plan on visiting so you can easily fix the alignment because the maintenance crew are incapable of doing that simple task. WIFI was dodgy. Only accessible in the lobby. If you veered 10 feet from there, you lost connection and had to sign it again. It was mayhem when the weather was bad (it was cold - 2 days 17 degrees C - and raining - beyond their control) everyone was in the lobby using their devices, connectivity was definitely overstretched. Food was actually tasty (they finally had salt shipped in!) when you could get it. They ran out of everything. The al a cart restaurants would ask you to take a picture of their menu, but when it came time to order, they didn't have what was on the menu. What's the point of that!!?? Just tell us what you have when you take our order. The wait staff were rude. They should learn how to speak english as most of the guests speak it!! We upgraded to Diamond Club, paying extra for upgrades they ran out of!! No premium drinks were to be found at any bar. VIP service - right!! I still had to wait in line at the reception desk just like everyone else. I'm not saying I'm more important, but when you pay for a service, you expect to receive it. Private beach was fine. The private bar on the beach didn't have premium drinks and neither did the Diamond Club restaurant. All I wanted was a good scotch! Not one bar tender was capable of making a decent margarita - and that's not a premium drink!! The hotel needs a complete renovation. The grounds are nicely kept - but I don't sleep outside!. The rooms are clean but need a serious update. The lobby needs new furniture. The fake leather couches are ripped, torn, cracked and have cigarette burns. The pictures on the website were taken when the hotel was built and nowhere near what the place looks like now.

Roc Arenas Doradas: Amazing Resort

This resort is #1 as far as I am concerned. I have returned to this resort almost 30 times so that it speaks volumes. The rooms are clean. Some rooms have been renovated. The grounds are kept up. The staff are amazing! The food is good! You will never go hungry! It is a smaller resort so it is easy to get around.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Relaxing vacation, amazing beach, great staff

Hotel was much better than what I expected. Grounds were well kept, staff is cleaning and sanitizing on regular basis. Service was surprisingly quick. Selection of food was limited, but we never went hungry. Show time was amazing every night. Live music at the beach restaurant and in the lobby. Beach is stunning! Club Kawama: Love the Kawama hotel and the staff is amazing

The Kawama hotel is awesome and over the years I have made many friends there, they always make me feel welcome and a special thank you to Leida Fernandez I can always count on her to make my stay more pleasant, if I have a problem she is more than happy to help me....the only thing I have a complaint about is they really have to improve on the hot water, I only had hot water once in my room in the two weeks I stayed there

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beyond our expectations

We upgraded to the Royal Service and it was the best thing we have ever done. The service, food, drinks and attention to covid protocols were fantastic. Beach and Pools were relaxing and clean Our travel times were long, 11 hours going and 12 hours coming back so nervous flyers would not due well to travel during covid. Melia Las Americas: Great Resort - Highly recommend the Level

Hotel is great - we upgraded to the Level and were really glad we did. The bungalows were spacious and well maintained. Our housekeeper Barby did an exceptional job. We really enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Limoncello - the al la Carte's were good as well. A little disappointed with the main buffet, didn't seem to have the same great selection as 2 years ago. Social distancing and covid protocols were being followed too - so it felt quite safe even during these times. We did not golf - although 3 days of golf are included when you stay at this resort. Overall a great vacation!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: A Peaceful Retreat

The staff at the Iberostar Daiquiri are excellent. They wear masks for their entire shift and remain pleasant. I know this is not the easiest thing, and I appreciate that they have such great care for their guests health and safety. The resort had just recently re-opened. Although all of the usual amenities and services weren't always available, we were well taken care of. The room was refreshed; everything worked and we had a lovely view of the ocean. The beach was excellent as usual. We took our own chalk and played pickleball on the tennis courts. The bicycles were in great shape and the riding was the safest it has ever been. They have finished building all of the hotels on the Cayo Guillermo strip, so the roads didn't have all the construction trucks we had become used to. Thank you, Iberostar Daiquiri. Playa Vista Azul: Amazing resort like always

This was our second time at the resort and look forward to going again soon. The only thing that was disappointing was the mini fridge was never restocked and we never received our bottle of champagne in the room like others have. Other than that it was awesome

Club Kawama: 19th Time at Club Kawama!

We continue to return to Club Kawama year after year for the amazing beach and the beautiful staff. The resort was much quieter than usual due to the pandemic. The protocols in place to ensure a safe and clean environment were top notch. In particular, the food and drinks in the dining room and bars were carefully covered and distributed only by staff. We like this resort because it is mainly two or three story buildings rather than a modern high rise of 15 plus floors. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Healing Holiday

The management and staff at PRDO were so kind,attentive and cheerful during my stay from January 3-26, 2022. Our bungalow was so peaceful with beautiful views of the palm trees and distant mountains. I loved being able to watch the night sky from the outdoor shower. I enjoyed my daily walks on the grounds amongst the colourful flowers, banana and mango trees to the cool shady botanical garden. We just got back from one week at this resort..love the place..people..and beach..want to go back in march for two weeks and bringing more family..also hopefully for New Year and hubby birthday..pools were great..24 hours food..

The staff could of been more helpful, not a lot of people spoke English which was frustrating, the food was awful and the locals were treated better than the tourists . They were cooking meat with the same spatula meaning they were flipping cooked meat with the same fork as they were picking up raw meat . I complained and saw it happen the next day . Brisas Del Caribe: Amazing Resort

We just got back from Cuba after a 2 week vacation and had a wonderful time. The staff is the best they go out of their way to do anything they can for you and are the friendliest people. The room was great and kept very clean. They have Covid measures in effect. Tables, chairs and public areas are sanitized regularly, the staff all wear masks and are fully vaccinated. Lots of hand sanitizer all over the resort. Mind you some of the guests did not think that mask wearing applied to th [... read more]em. We felt safer in Cuba during Covid then we do at home. The grounds and the pool are well maintained and the beach is beautiful. No shortages of food and it was good. Always had lots of beer and Rum no shortages there. We are thinking of returning in May.as we loved it there.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Lovely place

Spacious rooms, well landscaped grounds, 2 pools, white sand beach. Great restaurant, and 3 a la carte serving good food. 5 bars well stocked, friendly staff all around. Generally quiet, except around main pool and stage area where loud music and people congregate, mainly local visitors. Coffee alas was substandard. Warm brown water with watery milk. Bring your own. Nevertheless, we are going back there again soon, for the colors, gardens, beach and sunny skies.

Gran Muthu Imperial: So much fun!!

The resort was absolutely beautiful, the beach was a a little far from the rest of the resort but the walk was nice. They always had something going on around the pool, and everyone was so friendly. Went on two excursions, the Sea Tour and Ciego De Avila. They were so much fun and definitely recommend these excursions. Had an ocean view room with a huge king size bed. Thank you trip central for the help booking this trip!

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Amazing not!!

Nice beach and pools. Beautiful large room. Food was ok. Friendly staff. 1 BIG NEGATIVE ISSUE….Although it is the hotel policy that everyone wear masks indoors unless seated, There are many Russian guests indoors…in lines at the buffet… walking around the buffet.. hovering over the food… at the bar etc.. either not wearing masks or are wearing them as chin straps below their nose and mouth.. management confronts them.. They snicker or completely ignore them and management gives up and w [... read more]alks away. MANAGEMENT IS UNABLE TO ENFORCE THE COVID HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS.

Sol Varadero Beach: Fantastic time at Sol Varadero Beach

The rooms were very nice The beach was fantastic snd the pool was beautiful. The food was good for Cuba and the service was excellent. Works definitely recommend this hotel. The location was great and can walk to Varadero on the beach.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Terrible customer service, moldy room and mosquitos bites.

My experience here was a very bad one. I was assigned an moldy room and had to live in few days before moving to another. Second room was on the third floor and we did not have shower water during pick time. We were bitten by the sand fly or mosquitos and it turned out I was allergic but as the medic at the resort said "Cuba pharmacy is poor, no medication". For $20 I was applied a cream from an opened bottle, to release the itch, and let go. Everything in other places you get , here was gold. Y [... read more]ou had to go to the reception to get water in the room and towels. At the buffet you had to ask for a glass of water, wine or coffee. Seconds, were very hard to get. The meet was hard like an shoe's sole even at "A la carte". Cockroach were marching freely in the kitchen and everyone were touching the plates in a search for a clean one. All this put Cuba last on the list of vacation's destination.

Club Kawama: Very nice resort

This is a well- kept resort. The staff is very busy cleaning and keeping the resort looking nice in all areas. The dining room is very comfortable and the staff go out of their way to help visitors. There was a large selection for food, and I always enjoyed my meals in the buffet. I also liked the burgers that were served near the pool. I was very satisfied with the resort and staff.
