Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing Trip

Resort was amazing good food, good entertainment amazing pool and beach. Village market and stores were convenient for shopping. I would love to go back. Recommendation is more English speaking staff.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Good Resort

Rooms were clean need to be renovated but ok, food buffet it was good, I recommend El Pescador restaurant. Beach super nice, we also visited Las Terrenas Town, very nice place in general we had a excellent vacations

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful resort

I stay at Luxury Bahia Prinicipe Esmerdale resort in Punta Cana.. Food is good ,clean and amazing taste with nice service by its employee at the resort restaurant. Room are clean and well kept. I will give A plus.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Very Nice Resort. But Not Without Some Flaws

My husband and I stayed at the Ambar on August 5th-15 in a swim - up room. Here is an overview of a bit of everything : Room: We loved the swim up room. It was clean and comfortable and well the interior design was beautiful Con: The bathroom had only one sink with limited counter space. There was also nowhere to hang anything in the bathroom so trying to hang up make up cases or wet bathing suits had to be put over the shower walls. The pool for the swim up was cleaned constantly a [... read more]nd spacious. We enjoyed it every day. Ice Machine: This we found odd. There was no ice machine for guests to use. In order to get ice we had to call room service. They did bring it but in such hot climates guests tend to use a lot of ice and waiting each time was a bit silly. Con: The room service menu is very limited especially for anyone who's vegetarian. Con: There were only about 3 English speaking tv channels and they played marathons of the same shows most of the time. This may seem like not a big deal but it's something to consider if you're stuck indoors due to illness or if the weather is inclement and you're indoors. Butler Service : Our butlers were Jean and Greydin. There were excellent. If you can request them we highly recommend it. There were knowledgeable, thoughtful and wonderful. They added a quality to our vacation that was fantastic. The Grounds: The landscaping and grounds were immaculate. Restaurants : We went to Portfino's Italian restaurant and loved it. The service and food were excellent. We went twice while we were there. The Buffet : It had many options and themed nights which was nice. A big issue for myself was the labelling of the food. I do not eat meat except fish and many food items were not labelled to explain what was in it. For example there would be a dish that appeared as it could be fish or another meat without saying what meat was in it. When I inquired the staff didn't understand which was frustrating. We even found out how to ask if there was meat in Spanish and they were still confused or told us there was no meat when there was. Other foods were labelled as if they were vegetarian but weren't. Example "Chickpea vegetable soup" Which after I took a bowl of, I discovered that there was ham in it. I'm glad I noticed before eating it. This happened frequently. It is a simple fix that on the label it could simply say words like " Beef" or "Pork" because people could get ill. We also found that many of the food items were extremely salty. Also a bit of frustration occurred if we wanted to take our food and eat outside of the restaurant on the patio portion. Some staff said yes and others said no. At one point I wasn't very mobile and had to stay in my room and my husband was not permitted to bring me some food from the Buffet to our room. And yet if I were to order room service there was nothing I could eat. The Coffee Shop : It was clean and had a lot of options for coffee and dessert lovers. We enjoyed sitting outside and having a coffee or tea every day. And the desserts were beautiful and delicious. The Lobby : The Lobby was clean and immaculate. In the Lobby there is a desk where there are people trying to sign you up for their rewards program is. We received an invite in our room to learn about it and ignored it. It is a waste of time and money and we've seen it in other resorts. One staff member at that desk was pushy to the point he basically told us " This is how I make a living. I just need you to go to the meeting and I'll get paid." We did not go on our vacation to help him earn his paycheck. And no one wants to go on their vacation only to have on day two people trying to sign you up for something you've already declined. If you see this desk or they approach you, we suggest you politely decline and keep moving. The Lobby Store: If you like munchies like sweet or salty snacks we suggest you stock up at Duty Free. The Lobby store has items for purchase and they are very expensive. E.g one very small snack size package of M&Ms was $3.00 USD The Beach: Beautiful and well maintained. There were many chairs and tables available. Entertainment : There was a variety of entertainment . It was really enjoyable. The bands were fantastic. The dance shows were also beautifully choreographed. A few guests on the resort had mentioned to us a confusion about alcohol. Apparently there were alcoholic beverages that you actually had to pay for. We never ran into that problem but they told us upon trying to order a Corona at the Sports bar the server told them it would be $5.00 USD yet it's supposed to be an all inclusive and on the website it states that all alcohol including premium is included. The Sports Bar also boasts pool tables and yet you have to buy tokens to play which is ridiculous. Overall it was a pleasant trip. I think if the above mentioned issues were resolved it would be more likely that we would return.

I had an amazing time at Fantasia. My daughter and family love the resort.Beach was beautiful especially sanoa island...most beautiful island. Al cart restuarant were great especially Japanese restaurant. Servic was good but Pool needs to be more cleaner and should be cleaned more often.Everything was amazing !!

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Amazing Food and Resort

Travel dates July 24-31 2019- 2 Adults and 3 children aged 2, 8, 10. Beach was nice did have seaweed but kids don't care, they loved playing in the sand. We really enjoyed ourselves at this resort. Lots of food to choose from and delicious and my picky boys were able to find something to eat. We were able to book in at Spacewalk, food was very good here, kids had a blast. We also visited Verdello- great pasta next we tried Wok Wok it was ok not great. Fresco best taco's ever, Mac and Cheese was good. Aqua Bite in the waterpark was good really enjoyed my flatbread, hubby loved the wings. Waterpark was great for the kids, loved it. They did get bored of the slides but loved the pool and went around in the lazy river. It is a 10 min walk from hotel to waterpark but there is a shuttle that runs every 15 mins. Staff at the waterpark are great with the kids. We did miss out on the "ORANGE CARPET" it looked fun, lots of food - buffet style, would totally recommend going to it. Go early to get a sit for this event. Hotel was nice and clean found the staff to be friendly.We fit fine in the "standard" room it was large enough with large balcony. One down fall was the time share they were trying to sell us. If we told the first person we weren't interested what makes you think the 5th person you bring to us that we will change our minds?? Doppio the coffee bar, only spot I didn't like, went one morning and no one was there, so left empty handed. Items on the resort are pricy especially the Sponge Bob gear/items. Do recommend kids have swim shirts, its hot and saved us from dealing with sunburned kids. Did enjoy our stay with the kids looking forward to the new one opening in Mexico.

Impressive Punta Cana: it was good, other than the beach!

the beach was not crystal blue water you might be thinking of. there were lots of seaweed and the water was murky. pools were nice and cold. foods were decent in the buffet. however, japanese restaurant was a complete disappointment. the room was nice.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Amazing Trip at the VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort

We were a group of 5 ranging from ages 13-62. Upon our early arrival at 11am we were told the rooms may not be ready until 1pm or 3pm. The staff was accommodating to provide our 3 rooms as close as possible unfortunately that meant 2 of our rooms weren't ready until 3pm. This is understood though that this is check in time and we proceeded into the hotel to check out the grounds. From here on out I will break this review down. Grounds/Pools/Rooms The grounds were immaculate. I did n [... read more]ot see a cup/ straw/ cigarettes/ paper plate anywhere. The ground looked swept and mopped at all times. The hotel uses hard plastic reusable cups and there are no plastic straws, cups, plates that can be easily littered. I like this aspect as it's better for our environment. There was always a lounger by the main pool and the quiet pool was a nice break from the crowd. Rooms was kept clean and the maid service was impeccable. They attempted to clean rooms if it was inconvenient for you well into the afternoon. I have one suggestions for those that like an afternoon "siesta" the beverage guy came a little late and would wake my Mom up during her nap but through the week he accommodated her as well! 5 stars Food/Entertainment/Beverage The food options were amazing. We had not one complaint from our group and we had a strict Vegetarian travelling with us. She was able to find something at every meal. The buffet was never a let down. The A la Cartes, we only indulged in the Octopus and the Italian as they booked up very quickly. The Italian was fantastic we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. As for the Octopus this restaurant did not have much in way of Vegetarian options aside from the "cheese sticks" and my Sister indulged in about 8 of them, they were to die for! I ordered the Lobster at an additional cost of 35US but I received 3 lobster halves, potatoes, garlic butter, medley of vegetables. I barely finished the plate and it was a sight to see! There is a VIP bar if you upgrade that is airconditioned and inside we didn't choose this option but you can go up and charge a drink to your room if you're craving a Bailey's after dinner. The Entertainment was okay the staff work hard but I've seen most of the kind of shows that they put on at resorts. There were pool tables and ping pong as well. We opted to play cards most of the time after dinner as a group. The Bars close at midnight and there is no Disco which for me was a bit of a disappointment as the drinks at the off site disco were very high. About $10 Canadian for a Corona so if you're looking for a "club" night be prepared with cash. Conclusion Although this is a calmer/smaller resort than what I am used to it was a breath of fresh air. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this resort, the customer service is by far some of the best I have experienced and you can tell they enjoy their job when you try to speak Spanish with them. It's the small things that help when visiting someone else's country so a little effort goes a long way. I have no complaints about the VH Gran Ventana and will return one day.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Excellent Resort!

My sister, three teenaged kids and I spent a week at the Bahia Principe Esmeralda this August. The resort, including the other Bahia Prinicipecresirts attaches, was really nice. The beach is beautiful, and you can walk forever. There are plenty of palapas for shade. Unfortunately, there was a bit of algae in the sea, especially on our first day, but it didn’t stop any of us from enjoying the beautiful, warm, turquoise water. We didn’t use the pool much, but it was large, clean an [... read more]d lively. There is also a quieter pool for those who don’t want to be part of the activities. The rooms are large and well-equipped, though they could be a little cleaner. A screen door would be useful so that we could allow fresh air into the room. Food was plentiful and there was always something we could each enjoy at every meal. The adults in the group loved going to the coffee shop at the neighbouring Ámbar, which is a beautiful, newly renovated adults-only resort. Service was always excellent.

Ocean El Faro: Great trip overall

Great clean facility with a lot to do on the resort. shout out to Jose at Mikes coffee, Carlos and Ana entertainment team members, Franklin at the pool bar, and Richard at margaritas restaurant. Blue moon, buffet and margarita the best. Tips: Go early for dinner so you can get faster service. We will come again

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Exceeds expectations

Though rated at four and a half stars on some websites, I fail to find what this resort could do to improve anything to reach five stars. As in most reviews, the Dominican staff is friendly, outgoing, and extremely professional and attentive. Due to the conglomeration of four hotels into one complex, there’s a huge choice of pools, restaurants, and activities for every member of the family, and the combined resort has the longest stretch of beach in Punta Cana. Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Fabulous stay with friends

My friend and I stayed at the cofresi palm beach resort by lifestyle, it was a fantastic stay. The room was not so great but we only slept there so we didn't care. We got fresh towels and toilet paper and clean room so we were good. The beach is I believe man made so it's not the prettiest. BUT all the pools were great and the place is HUGE so we had lots of options. You do have to shuttle a lot of places but there are shortcuts you can take to get to the restaurants. Every night is a different theme so the food is not repetitive.I have read many reviews and they all said there are a lot of stairs and a lot of walking and they weren't kidding so if you're not prepared to upgrade to VIP to use the golf carts there's going to be a lot of walking. The people were amazing they treated us like Queens, if you stay at the cofresi there is a VIP bar it's called the sports bar and the bartenders are awesome it's has AC and the drinks are delicious I definitely recommend it. All in all it was a great stay.

Riu Republica: Beautiful large clean resort

The riu republica was a beautiful large resort. Rooms were nice and clean as well. Our AC brook near the end on our floor but was not to hot as the fan still worked and I think some cold air still came out. The food was amazing, had everything I could think of with lots of flavour. Many restaurants that are all walk in, no reservations. The beach was AMAZING! Never had trouble finding laydown chair or shade. The beach water was clean and not rocky at all. No special snorkeling ability on Th [... read more]e beach but easy trip to plan. On the beach there was kayaks and those wind sail boats to use free of Charge. Never used the pools but was very pretty. Great resort if you like to party. The hotel takes you off the resort to pool parties that were the best parties according to my 3 male friends. The staff were super friendly and always in a good mood. At night there was a disco that was always full. The shows were a 7 out of 10 when I compare to what I’ve seen ( I never expect much from the shows) One thing a really liked about the bar is that they Had a drink menu so it was easy to try many new things at a busy bar. Great resort! I would totally go back 😄

Blau Natura Park Resort: Good resort, but book the select rooms.

When we were first given our room it was old and unimpressive. We up graded to a select room, which was better, but still old (phone didn't work properly, bathroom door came of the track). However they did come to fix these things when asked. Resort grounds were beautiful. Beach and pool were nice and had lots of seating and bar. Food in buffets was great, booked 2 specialty restaurants and they were mediocre. Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: amazing place!!

Hello!! The resort is amazing.There are still some employees (like Oscar) who were vey rude to us since day one upon arrival.He incisted on my (autistic) son to wear the wrist band.We have been to several destinations in the carebean and no one has ever asked us to forcehim to wear it!!! The food was very good at the buffet. The rooms were big but a little off style,could take a renovation...the extra bed built in the wall is too small for anyone to sleep in... in general,the trip was great!! The only really negative point I have to talk about is the trip on our way back on west jet flight.The attendant was really uninformed about my son's diagnosis and uninformed about their policies.There were 2 seats empty on the premium class and I asked her if my son could sit on one of them and my husband because my son is not independant.She totally refused and eventhough I gave her my son's disbalitity case number on westjet,she totally refused.Her name is Virginie.I have never seen a person so mean and arrogant in my life!!

Whala Bayahibe: Awful service

The service is awful, they do not provide the towel change on time and you can use your towel for a couple of days. The safety boxes are not for free and you will have to pay $3 US dollars for every day. The food is very simple and you will eat the same all days staying in the resort. They do not provide you with the water in the fridge. For beach towels you will have to make a deposit of $10 US dollars. I would never recommend this resort to my friends and will never go there again.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: The Hard Rock resort rocks!!

Fabulous resort with something for everyone. Great food and service, amazing beach, 13 pools, lots to do. Thanks Nicolle Kirk for the great suggestion for this resort, we absolutely loved it and highly recommend it for anyone with families.
