Barcelo Maya Colonial: Best Resort I've been to!!!!!

Everything was perfect, from the option plus flight to the hotel. Our room was great with a nice view, cleaned and restocked every day, the pools and the beach were amazing and beautiful. The food and service was excellent. We had the time of our lives and would love to go back :)

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Loved It!

Room was beautiful, newly renovated and so clean ! Service at this hotel is like none other . Each and every staff was a pleasure to deal with and went out of their way to accommodate. Food was good , lots of choices at buffet . Italian restaurant was best! Beach was good but a bit rocky . Location location location is what we loved , minutes from any and everything you want in Playa. Always felt safe .

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great resort

Had a wonderful stay at the hideaway royalton riviera cancun. Great service .Awesome room . Great food . A special thanks to Raul our beach waiter. Enjoyed the adult only pool area and beach. The choice of restaurants were great.

The Sian Ka'an at Grand Tulum: Not Bad

I just want to say that the The Sian Ka'an at Grand Tulum resort is a nice resort but it is far from an adults only. The only place for adults to eat without a reservation is the buffet on the family side. The adults only beach is a small roped off area of the main beach. we were charged for a bottle of wine by a restaurant that we didn't go to almost mist our shuttle because of this. my suggestion if you want to go to this resort go to the family side as it is cheaper and you get pretty much th [... read more]e same .

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Good resort

We arrived late 10 Pm due air plane problem, but the restaurant was still open with nice and good food selection. The room was dark, night table missing, we ask other room (41403) the room identical with the previous but the night table was there. Light bulb burnt out curtain dirty and not hang properly. .We left Do not disturb sign outside the door, but housekeeping wake us up for 3 nights at 8.30 AM. The ground was very nicely kept, the restaurants was peasant with extremely good, nicely prepared in the buffets and restaurants. The staff extremely helpful and friendly Pools, transportations wery good between properties. We have good time except the room can be in better shape.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Huge but great resort

The resort was huge and far from the airport and play del Carmen. getting around was fairly painless with the amount of shuttles available but usually have to wait 10 min or more. Rooms were great but far from the beach. Service was average, food was decent. The pool was large and very cold. The beach was nice sand and made for swimming with the ugly sand bags.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Almost 5 star but overall great

Beautiful property, pretty good food, very friendly and accommodating staff. Small issues we’re addressed right away. Weather during the week was pretty bad. Strong winds, cloudy and rainy all week long but we made the best of it. Evening entertainment was the best of any other hotel we have stayed at. Done by hired groups and professionals, not the usual hotel entertainment staff that are jack of all trades. Elvis show was the worst but overall the rest were great. Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Don't Think Twice!

A very comforting and relaxing resort to unwind and be young again. The room was very safe warming and welcoming, a bathrobe and house shoes to add comfort along with a coffee machine, water, drinks in the mini fridge and a television, also a very clean washroom and comfortable shower add to the happiness of the room. No need to bring soaps, shampoos or other items, it is all there for you to unwind with at the end of the day or in the warm sunny caress of the morning start. There are many safe shuttle vehicles that will never leave you lost or astray, the resort is very safe there is no need to feel uncomfortable as the staff is very respectful and courtious and there are many security cameras to ensure your safety 24 hours a day. The grounds are exceptional and clean, a family with children will be very happy with the resort as there are children safe play areas, you won't find party animals being excessive and annoying. The food variety and quality is amazing, I gained 10 pounds while being there, seafood, steak, vegetables and fruit will make you very happy and healthy along with great selections of expresso's and coffee's and fresh juices. The bars at all clean and friendly pools are awsome the bartenders go the extra mile with quality beverages and service, Sebastion at the Seafood Pool Bar is a very professional bartender and can amaze your thirst desires, quite nice martini's. The main beach zone is wonderful and the staff at the restaurants and bars will make your day relaxing while you take time to unwind and suntan and swim in safe waters, a Fantastic way to spend an entire day, you have everything there. You won't be bored or disappointed taking this resort as your choice, I spoke with many people while being there and found none with a complaint, there is value here.

Catalonia Yucatan: Everything we expected and more!!

The resort is awesome, really enjoyed that it was located inside a gated community which allowed us free range to so many various activities without having to plan and excursion. Amazing food, great staff and the entertainment was impressive. Rooms are great quality, the only downside we experience was the maid service. We travelled with a group and their service seemed fine yet our room was only cleaned at times. We always left a tip so we knew it wasn’t because of that. Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Great for the Family

Just got back from a week at La Esmeralda with family & friends. The resort has a nice modern look but still feels like home. Rooms are very nice and kept very clean. The food was amazing, never ate at the same place twice. The beach is nice & clean and its close to a natural fresh water spring which the kids had fun playing in. My only complaint is the temperature of the pools. You shouldn't have to upgrade to family concierge to be able to enjoy the heated pool.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Paradise in Mexico 🇲🇽

The Bahia Principe Sian Ka’an was outstanding. Our Air Transat guides from Manuela who helped book the place to Evelyn and Antonia - all three were very informative and helpful in arranging our stay in the Mayan Riviera. Our room and the gardens were immaculate! Jorge gave us directions to the other beautiful resorts on the beach and topped it by having Ivan our butler decoratie our bed with rose petals and a bottle of wine! El Dorado Casitas Royale: They spoiled us

This is my third time to the Mayan Riviera & the second time to the Eldorado Royale. This time we stayed in a swim up Casita. The room was huge & had an indoor & outdoor shower. The grounds are beautiful and the staff are very attentive. The food is excellent and the spa is very relaxing.

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Excellence Riviera Cancun 4th visit

This was our 4th visit to ERC. We liked it as much as we have in the past, hence the repeat visit. We met many repeat travelers and that is always a good sign. One complaint. I emailed 2 months ahead to request building 6 for our swim out room and emailed again 1 month before as well. When we arrived, we were placed in building 5 swim out - absolutely no sun at all at the room. As a result, we were up with others, seeking out loungers... we did not use the swim out room area at all. I woul [... read more]d never get a swim out room at this resort. Many of the buildings have shade part to most of the day. Swim out here is not worth it. (unless you get ocean facing excellence club swim out rooms) Food was fine, everything else was consistent to previous visits. Lovely place, just do not waste your money on a swim out room. Great location, not far from the airport. Beautiful beach. Lots of pool to go around. One heated pool. Friendly staff. Good service.

Grand Sunset Princess: Beautiful Resort

Very well maintained. Beautiful walkways. Nice rooms, however our room was very smelly and I got a bad headache the first night I stayed. I think it was a mold problem. Also, the air conditioning was not adjustable and was very cold. When we turned off the air conditioning, there was a bad sewer smell in the room. Our friends did not have this problem in their rooms so it might be an isolated problem. The other issue we had was 3 of us booked back in July, 2017 and we were not placed tog [... read more]ether. Our rooms were quite far apart which made it hard to contact each other. Also, the WIFI connection was bad and kept kicking us out. Needed to sign in all the time. If not for our bad room, I thought the resort was lovely.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun: Family Vacation

The best part of this hotel for us was the room. We had a one bedroom jacuzzi pool view that enabled us to lay my son down in his crib in the bedroom, and still have use of the room and large balcony. There was also a zero entry pool that was great for him to splash around and play with a few toys at. We even had a visit from some monkeys one day! Grand Sunset Princess: Huge Resort

Beautiful resort. Food was mediocre. Not enough variety of fruit. Our room smelled musty, and I’ve got a chest infection now as a result. The wait staff, cleaning staff were phenomenal. Wish there were more stores in the hotel.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Wonderfull resort set in a mangrove forest.

Grand Palladium Kantenah is one of three Grand Palladium hotels all within walking distance from each other with access to all three at all times. They share 9 great restaurants plus a few buffets. I would consider the buffet to be very standard and most of the restaurants were very good. Staff always friendly and helpful. The thing we loved most about this resort is that there are no highrise hotels. All rooms are in 3 storey villas spread out in a gorgeous mangrove forest. We were there in early January and did not see any insects or bugs which surprised me considering we were in a forest. I would not recommend this resort for anyone with mobility issues as there is a lot of walking to do. They do offer transportation via golf carts/trains but we found these to be inconvenient and prefer walking.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Amazing Couples Vacation

Our entire experience at the Royal Playa del Carmen was fantastic. The resort was smaller, so everything was a short walk away. The resort provided options to be as active or relaxed as a guest would like to be. We enjoyed walking the beach at sunrise, as well as going to the 5th Avenue shopping in the afternoons just a few blocks from the resort. Within the resort, the restaurants, bars and cafes serve wide range of premium choices. Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: I will be back!

Unfortunately for us the weather wasn't the best for us during our stay, but that being said all the amenities at the resort helped keep us active and able to enjoy our week. Having the hotel amongst the jungle gave us the opportunity to see the monkeys and other native species. The room that we stayed in was one of the older rooms and could probably use a little face lift but the staff kept it clean and comfortable for us. Tukan Hotel Playa Del Carmen: Second visit for us. Quite happy with resort location and helpful and courteous staff

I will be returning again in May. Despite poor reviews we have been very satisfied with our stays at the Tukan. Grounds are kept very clean. Public washrooms also very clean. Staff at reception and other staff we encountered were all pleasant. Room was great. Good size and comfortable. Plumbing and hot water worked well. A/C and TV were fine. Our ground floor room was steps away from lounge chairs and the pool. Music from a bar was somewhat loud but stopped at a reasonable hour. Great value a [... read more]nd location for the money.
