Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful resort!

After a few minor hiccups to start, we had an amazing vacation! The resort is stunning...paradise!! The rooms are huge and comfortable. The staff is mostly friendly and polite. The food is outstanding. Overall...highly recommended!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Misinformes

The hotel lounge and grounds were very nice. It was listed as a 5 star, But today's standards are far different then before when this hotel was built. Rooms were not equal to rating. We booked thinking we were going to recieve Royal treatment as we were informed by our agent, but this was not the case. We were not able to visit other Bahia resorts, however the accompanying resorts were able to come to ours which was slightly bigger, Because of all the other guest. It was always packed. We weren' [... read more]t able to even get a chair to lay and tan a few days. They really made it seem that the other resorts were better. I was sadly mislead by my agent and some of the print on their web site. Being a part of the royal golden club did not give us any advantages. It was embarassing. We turned our bracelets over... I actually saw lots Of ppl do the same. The tub was yellow:( If you speak the language it helps. The people do not seem to want to go over and beyond. Basic help at best. Except for the preformers. You can tell they train hard. They seem to enjoy what they do. We payed almost $3000. I don't have a money tree!! I spoke to the manager, she did help us. After lots of work on our part. We paid to relax not to discuss our room and other situations not worth mentioning. I guess I really expected 5 star. It felt like.... 2 star in a 3.5 star resort. With a 4.5 star lobby. the food was very good,the pools were very nice yet a little scummy on the bottom,the grounds were kept very nice but there was always noise from the construction,the service around the pools and in the resturaunts was terrible.The Bahia could learn something from the Riu properties

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: A beautiful trip!

Recently turned into a "luxury" hotel. I agree. The grounds, impeccable, the food wonderful and the staff genuinely happy, friendly and accommodating. All our needs were met. I will be going back for New Years Eve 2015!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful Resort

Recently my husband and I traveled for our honeymoon, the resort is absolutely beautiful, well maintained and very clean. The room are a good size and comfortable. The staff all very pleasant and make you feel very welcomed, we didn't really spend time at the beach as the waves were very high so couldn't swim and we personally prefer the pool area. Watch out for ppl trying to sell you on the privledge club, it's very annoying and unless you want a second mortgage you won't want this. We were dis [... read more]appointed that nothing was done by the resort special for our honeymoon but I think that could be a disadvantage from it being so large is you get lost in the shuffle unless your ready to make a fuss to get what you want, not worth it at that point. Overall I'd recommend this resort as long as you don't mind the size of it, it truly is beautiful.

Great pools, beach a little far from rooms, food plenty of variety but nothing amazing, not the cleanest room service, Not too many beach chairs, watch privilege club for a $11,000 offer might be really pushy. Pricy over all

The resort was very well kept. Accommodations were excellent and clean. Good service everywhere.The grounds are beautiful, and maintained daily.The food was very good. We ate at some of the special restaurants as well, and found them very good. The beach and restaurants there were clean and the food was of good quality.

Amazing amenities. Clean, beautiful rooms. Grounds were impecable! Wide variety of food at buffets. Loved the theme approach. Excellent à la carte restaurants. Friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our stay as easy, simple and relaxing as possible.

Was a good resort.Very busy on the beach and at the pool. Hard to get a chair. Service in the restaurant was sporadic. Sometimes had to prompt the servers as they wouldn't come to your table with something to drink

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Overall great value!

Despite a slight inconvenience with the new building being developed adjacent to the Don Pablo Collection (we asked to be moved and were quickly accommodated) the site was beautiful: lots of different places to hang out around a long pool meandering through the grounds. The beach, although not large, was quite pleasant and quiet. Service throughout our stay was very prompt and courteous. The lunches were superb down near the beach - the best jerk chicken ever! Dinners were very good, 4 out of 5  [... read more]stars generally, and again great, friendly service. Evening entertainment was the best and most varied we've experienced in several Caribbean visits.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Huge resort!

We stayed at this resort dec 31-jan 6, 2015. Overall it was a nice resort, lack of a beach was disappointing, but the shuttle to the Tulum beach was fast. The Tulum beach was nice, lots of beach chairs, but also lots of seaweed. Coba pools were great, but sadly lacking in the beach chairs, if you like to sleep in on your vacation, don't plan on getting a chair! However, the food and service was Outstanding!! For once on an all inclusive (and we've done at least 10), we never got tired of the foo [... read more]d! And there was flavor! We did 2 a la carte, and highly recommend Gran Tortuga! The Brazilian restaurant was great, and if you leave hungry, it isn't for their lack of trying! Jose at the buffet at Coba (breakfast and lunch) was great! After one day he remembered our drink order and made sure we were always taken care of. Don't waste your money upgrading to Golden Club, we didn't find any real benefits (unlike Catalonia resorts). Overall, a good vacation, but we will try somewhere else next year.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wonderful time

The resort is clean and lush. The people are attentive and friendly. The food at eh buffet is tasty with good variety... all amazing. I preferred the beach even though it is more pebblier than sandy. Wonderful time and sun!

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Beautiful, well run resort

nicely landscaped, surrounded by lush greenery and flowers. Well appointed public areas, easy to get around. Rooms are comfortable with balcony and sea view. Dining was exceptional, plenty of seafood, a good choice of everything, you certainly don't go hungry. Staff is very outgoing and helpful, always smiling. Close to town and yet away from all the hustle and bustle, situated on a hill, surrounded by beauty.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: great resort

Excellent value for the money paid. We were upgraded upon check in at no additional cost. Only downside is this is four resorts in one, and the size is a bit overwhelming. Made getting around a bit tough at times. Overall great resort tho, and spectacular golf course!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wonderful trip

Spent Christmas 2004 there. They made a special evening of it. Great food, beach, activities, etc. clean and spacious rooms. Front desk staff need a little heater, but otherwise everyone was very helpful.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fantastic Family Getaway!

We traveled to the Grand Bahia Principe Coba over the holidays and loved the resort, food and beach! Great for families and kids especially the pools which were not too deep and the waterpark area. Buffet was a huge hit with our children (4 & 7yrs) and the a la carte dinners were very accommodating to ensure our girls enjoyed (if your kids don't have adult palates they offer kids menus at the a la cartes). New Year's Eve buffet was out of this world (my DH would return just for this!) All the st [... read more]aff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and it is really clean. The only issue we had was that the bar refill (water, beer, snacks) which were included in the package were not done consistently everyday so we had to often ask for these items. That said they always brought them when asked and it definitely didn't hamper our fun. Weather was great (although, they have no control over that) and we would definitely go back to this resort

Staff was super friendly. They were very accommodating and the room was great. The food was great and the drinks were awesome. It was a lifestyle that I could get used to very quickly. Only two things were a little unusual. In the room, the bathroom had a gigantic transparent glass window that faced the main room. There was a curtain but it was still weird. I also travelled with 4 other friends. When we went to most of the restaurants it was fine. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice resort!

This resort was huge! It was my first time to Dominican Republic but my fiancé has been many times. We both had a great time aside from getting bitten by Mosquitos everywhere the day before we left and a couple of overcast days. We went with the royal golden package and I 100% recommend spending the bit extra. We had a beautiful view from are room and could see the ocean. The snack bars sucked but the buffet and restaurants were great. Service was okay but not spectacular. All in all the trip was amazing but if you're looking for something more romantic I wouldn't recommend the resort. Lots of families and kids and the pools and beach were always extremely crowded with very limited beach chairs. Make sure to take towels down to the pool/beach first thing in the morning to claim chairs or you won't find anywhere to lounge.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Great seclusion!

The grounds are impeccable. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. There is food for most here, even though I did experience an MSG attack from our late night snack when we first arrived. After that, I stuck to restaurants, room service and the beach buffet and was totally fine. They nicely posted each event they were hosting each day down by the beach which was nice if you wanted. Our only bad experience was with the sales people for the privilege club. But you don't have to sit down with anyone of you don't want to. If you are truly interested (as we were) then be prepared for a long meeting and for old sales tactics. Avoid the set-up meeting if this doesn't interest you.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: One week in Paradise

This is a wonderful hotel with all of it's gardens well manicured. My wife and I were there from Dec.28th to Jan. 4.All of the staff at the hotel were great. Had a couple of favorite waitresses Anna and Bianca always fun at the pool area, We ate at the Gourmet, Steak house, and Japanese restaurants, all very nice We played darts, bingo and participated in a few other activities.
