Playa Caleta: Great time

The grounds are beautiful and the people working in the hotel are very friendly. The only thing that was disappointing this year was there was no Pina Colada's in the hotel. We had to go into town to get this drink. Last year when we were there, the bar had the frozen pina colada mix available. We did take a look through the sister property that was still under construction when we were there last year....this hotel is beautiful and hope that the same renovations will take place at Bellevue Pu [... read more]ntarena. This year our hotel rooms faced the ocean and it was wonderful to wake up to that view and listen to the waves at night....really worth the extra money to have that view.

Melia Marina Varadero: Awesome hotel

We stayed at the Melia Marina Varadero April 21-28, 2017, the resort is beautiful although needs a bit of repair. The food was good at the Level but the buffet was not as good, food was often cold. The staff was awesome. We will return for sure. The entertainment could be reviewed for sure but overall it was a very nice vacation.

Memories Jibacoa: Best vacation ever

Nice rooms, smiling employees, very good restaurants, great buffet, quiet place, amazing and outstanding reef with direct access from the beach. More different kind of ocean wild life than your eyes can see. So beautiful and colorfull. Snorkling at his best. We will return next year for sure.

Palma Real: Good time!

Very nice, the room was as we expected and the pools were nice. The area and the beach were both great. The Cuban people were very nice, and did their best to help us with what we needed during our trip.

Very nice resort. The food was great but not always hot. It was nice having two pools to choose. Most of the staff was nice but their was a few who where really bad. For the price it was worth it and I would recommend it to friends.

Palma Real: Hotel Palma Real

Having stayed last year at this resort we loved it , then we return this year to new owners & would not recommend it. The staff is not happy, the food is the same each day with a little tweak if not for the a la carte restaurants it would be really disgusting. Will not be returning to this hotel.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: A+ Amazing Resort! Great time!

This Resort was lovely! The rooms were clean and spacious with a filled mini-bar everyday. Lots of bars (beach bar, lobby bar, pool bar, coffee bar and more!) and restaurants all around the resort (which were fabulous). The "snack" restaurant by the pool was convenient and yummy for a quick pick me up. The restaurant by the ocean was amazing! Highly recommend! The staff at this resort were friendly and hard working! They held different events every night which were nice for entertainment. Friendly shuttle bus to and from the resort with great hosts! Barcelo Solymar: Our amazing paradise that we look forward to visit.

We love everything about it . The security, the lack of vendors in the beach. The people trying to do their best for our comfort, their friendliness and caring is unbelievable! They make you feel among friends.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Good resort

The grounds and beach were absolutely gorgeous. The food was not so good. The service was pretty good but a good value for the price. Would say this is a party resort and needs some updating to the rooms.

Melia Marina Varadero: Very nice resort ... but

Everything was lovely from this resort. The hotel is new and of quality. The beach was hot and clean. The only thing that we did not like was the food at the resort. I would go to other resorts in varadero and Cuba, and my conclusion is that the food was sub par when compared to other 5 star resorts.

Roc Arenas Doradas: Disappointed

We found this resort tired and in need of updates. Some of the employees are friendly and some not at all. We all had stomach issues at this resort. The food was very repetitive. The resort is very well kept however and some staff try very hard.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Great resort

This was are third time at this resort It still has its small resort charm .clean .Very friendly staff. food is great.the beach is beautiful and close .Will be going back for are forth visit next year

Resonance Blu Varadero: It was nice experience .

Very nice and clean hotel . Resort is amazing and beach and shells ? Just wow . Not far from Havana [only 2 hours by taxi ] . Amazing people . Would do it all over again . Food was ok and so were drinks and entertainment .

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Mosquetoe Blau Marina Resort should be the title and for added fun (sand fleas)

When I first arrived it was late and had to wait for my room at 10 pm at night. I was hungry so was told to go to the Light house open 24 hours. I was told I could get a hamburger or a tuna sandwhich.I took the tuna with fries on the side this was ok. Missed the buffet lunch one day, having too good a time at the beach. So to the light house for a club sandwich it was a tiny piece of chicken, and some tomatoes and shredded ham and cheese and tomatoes,not good. Started to rain so more bugs.To get [... read more] to the light house and the discoteca you crossed a tiny bridge that was over a swamp like pond and very smelly. Hence the mosquitoes. Then taken to my room, 2nd floor junior suite, it seemed fine but the patio door would not lock had to get someone to fix it, but still had problems locking it. So once I got it locked never went out there, too many mosquitoes anyway. Everything looked nice.The main lobby you could not sit in to enjoy a beverage and chat with other guests unless you had insect repellent. You had to be constantly shooing them away. The entertainment was good but again had to fend off mosquitoes. Another guest had brought insect repellent and was glad to give me some. But still bitten. Another guest was bitten so bad had to go to the hospital. The Buffet restaurant food was good, some too salty avoided those had to tell the chef no salt constantly and few mosquitoes but birds were flying around another guest sitting next to my table had a bird shit on his shoulder. Couldn't book the special rest. for your time just what was available and I did this next morning able to book two of the 5 most already fully booked, ate mostly at the buffet. Some guests complained about the food but it depends on your taste. The staff was most courteous however some were extremely slow to render their service. Called a few times to get picked up and took too long after 10 min. decided to walk. I have health problems and lost a lot of time waiting to get taken to the restaurants and the beach. Was never able to exchange my beach towel always told not today or later but even when you came back same story no towels or later. Animators for the beach and pool were good but often waiting for more people to join or went to get them, so events started late or were cut short. Weather was bad at first some rain and more mosquitoes, but cleared up.Too windy to do water sports 1st few days then calmed down was able to get the paddle boat and the catamaran. Luckily, it booked up fast and only took you out for 20 min and 1/2 hour for paddle boat. Discoteca was great did a lot of dancing . Did a day outing interacting with the dolphins, some snorkeling, lunch at cayo coco, our catamaran was the last to arrive, so most of the food for our lunch was cold and they had no utensils we had to wait to get them before we could eat. not impressed. Last day had to be out of the room by noon and store luggage had to return towel then too, but I did't bring a towel and had to make a fuss to keep mine until my departure. They give you a room to change and shower before you leave, so I was booked at 4:30 and bus was coming at 5:15 pm. Got to the room other peoples towels were on the floor and no clean towels for me called the desk said would send right away 15 min later arrived had time to take a 5 min shower , good thing because knock, knock time to go hadn't dried my hair or gone to the toilet. So I figure I would go on the bus, BIG MISTAKE the bus toilet was out of order. So the tour boy suggested at the next hotel I could go but then stopped at a gas station where I was attacked by sand fleas all over my ankles and feet while walking to the bathroom and in the washroom it was the most disgusting thing but had to relieve my self didn't sit on the toilet but had to fend off mosquitoes again before I could go. returning to the buss more flea bites. Luckily a guest on the bus had antihistamine to relieve the itch. Had to see my doctor. But I must say the staff for the most part were good and apologetic about the bugs always courteous and smiling all the time and most willing to do whatever they were capable to do for a guest. I would not recommend this place because of the Bug problem. Other people on our day out said their hotel had no mosquito problems so I guess Blau hotel & resorts should clear up this problem at this resort. Another guest a french woman a widow, was so upset and glad I could speak french to her, she wanted to leave but told me I have 6 more days and had been bitten by sand fleas, I advised her to contact her agency and talk to the hotel management. She too,as have I, had been to Cuba before but never encountered this problem. I went to clear up my psoriasis and did but these bites will become psoriasis and went to dance and I did. Because of the bugs ONLY, I would not recommend this to a friend. Again the staff was good but also slow. Again a friend picked this not my travel agency that helped me book this so I could join my friends.Their son 8 yrs old asked me to go into the pool ,at the baby and mini club pool,with him and i got sick lost my voice from swallowing the water when I came down the water slide. Blau should check out the water more often for germs. Thumbs down for this resort.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Just ... wow.

Fantastic time! Beach was gorgeous, staff was hospitable, room was amazing and the Transat excursion tours were safe and addordable ways to get out and see the rest of Cuba. Would recommend this hotel to a couples or families.

Palma Real: Better then expected

There were bad reviews so we were a bit worried at first. But to our surprise it was quite nice. We stayed in building three which was centered around Everything. You could tell alot of work has been done to fix this resort up. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were delayed leaving and had no room for twelve hours. They stored our luggage and let us keep our bracelet so we could still come and go as we pleased, which was nice as this resort is downtown....lots to do off r [... read more]esort and very safe. We weren't crazy about the food, but my hubby is really fussy. We ate off the resort quite often.....had no stomach problems what so ever. I would go back to this resort and recommend it to anyone who likes exploring off their resort and is looking for a budget friendly vacation. P.S. the air conditioning was awesome!

Starfish Jibacoa: Beautiful!

My husband and I stayed at this resort from April 12-19. I was so excited when we walked out of the lobby and the ocean right there. We stayed in a bungalow room with the beach right in front of us. Even though the resort is spread out it was a short walk to anywhere. It was nice going to the beach and not have to fight for a chair. It was serene, beautiful. the food was good. Melia Las Antillas: great getaway

We had a great vacation the resort was beautiful .Being an older resort it was very clean and comfortable . The staff were amazing. The food was good lots to choose from and the fresh cooked fish was excellent. We had the best Pina Coladas ever. We took 2 day trips and enjoyed these .The entertainment was great .It was just what we needed.
