Riu Republica: Riu Republica

The resort was very clean, every evening was entertainment for 2hrs, clean beach, plenty of beverages, food variety was phenomenal, friendly staff (Broken English). First room location wasn't desirable, talked with reception, they provided us with a better room location.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Excellent family resort

This resort was amazing,staff were great ,cleanliness was amazing.definitely a 5 star resort! Looking forward to returning for another family trip. Lots to do with access to the other resorts around. So many dining options,

Caribe Deluxe Princess: The Resort was beautiful and very well maintained

Meals were great, staff was awesome and very accommodating, the beaches were nice, pools area were well maintained. The nightly entertainment was only ok, rooms were a good size and very clean. The drinks and bars were very well stocked.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Big Resort

Very clean grounds. Beach excellent. Dining and service great. Rooms a little tired we were put in older area Lighting poor. Air conditioner kept dripping water. Told them at front desk to fix and was fixed for a day or two, then started dripping again. Did this three times. Telephone did not work. Overall great holiday.

Secrets Cap Cana: Our new favorite

We went for a short three night stay and were very happy with this resort. Usually when we go away, and we’ve been to many resorts in several countries, we feel like to always give up something. Either we don’t like the beach or the pool or the food or the commute from the airport or the service. At Secrets we were happy enough with all of these areas. The only thing we could complain about was that the hallways were quite noisy sometimes from the room and we had to put towels and pillows at the base of the door to block out the noise. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

TRS Cap Cana Hotel: Amazing location

Hotel is not 4.5 * nor more then 3.5 *, food is acceptable not much choice , stuff is very kind , trying to help you , the best waitress in pool is Alba, always nice , kind , with a beautiful smile . The beach is very small and to go to another one not always available with a navette

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Not quite what it used to be, but still okay

Cleanliness has declined: 1. We had a small leak in the bathroom ceiling, which was quickly attended to. However, a fair bit of material from inside the ceiling fell onto the bathroom floor during the repair. This debris remained on the bathroom floor for the next 3 days (the remainder of our stay), even though the maid was in to clean the room daily. Clearly, the bathroom was never swept or mopped. 2. The phone receiver smelled like it had been used for a colon exam. 3. Bed sheets were no [... read more]t changed regularly. I spilled some lotion on the bed, which again, remained for days. The grounds were very well-maintained. Staff were okay. Some very nice and friendly, some not so much. Food was good. Something for everyone and a good selection. Free internet - the worst I've ever experienced. Extremely slow, when working. Not adequate for FaceTime.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Vacation of a lifetime

My wife and I just spent a week in Paradise. We went to celebrate our 49 wedding anniversary. At Bahai Principle Green. On our arrival, there was a banner on the door signalling our anniversary and a bottle of bubbly with two glasses near by. And it only got better Will definitely return

Riu Palace Macao: Will Be Back- But Only If It Gets An Update!

We visited two years ago and just loved it so much we decided to travel there again. We spent one week at the Hotel Riu Macao from Dec 1st to 8th, 2017. 1. This hotel is looking tired. Even though there were some upgrades last year (new pool, two new buildings closer to the water, new eating terrace adjacent to the main buffet) the building as a whole is beginning to show it's age. 2. Our Room: The sliding doors to the balcony in our room were not working properly as the sensor on the [... read more] doors were responsible for the air conditioning. If the sensors did not meet the air would not come on. Housekeeping was great, our linens and towels changed regularly but in general the room looked a bit unkept. eg. The garbage can was unclean, the floors under the bed and dressers were not cleaned well. The room was t and if you caught the "drink guy" on his rounds to refill your fridge you were good to go. The mattress in our room was very hard and uncomfortable. We found that the average couple by age to be older than my husband and I and I'm sure if there were more mattresses as ours there would be some very unhappy travellers trying to have a relaxing and comfortable night's sleep. 3. Service: In general the service was great but there were a few servers (particularly around the pool) that felt they were "entitled to a tip" otherwise they would bee line it away from you the rest of the day. The servers on the beach side were fabulous and had quite a trek to fetch your drinks. They were always there with a smile and never missed a drive by without asking if you needed something. The lunch and dinner services at the buffet and the restaurants, again in general, were also excellent! I have to also mention new this year, no reservations were required! Show up and if they are full they will send you away with a beeper to let you know when your table is ready! psst- the lamb at the Italian restaurant and fillet at the Steakhouse were Ah-mazing! The omelettes at the breakfast buffet and awesome selection of lunch salads, cheeses and other goodies.... the hamburger at the fusion restaurant Krystal is to die for at lunch. 4. This property is so beautiful and once they have done a major overhaul it will really be amazing. It is small and intimate and we will return one day once they have made these changes. Riu Republica: Great new and modern facility

Found the staff extremely helpful and accommodating. Only draw back is that beach is vast but water extremely rough. Apparently because it is on the Atlantic side the waves are always strong...great if you surfboard etc., but for average swimmer under currents are too strong. Entertainment at night so so....and loud until around 11 pm, especially if you have a Court Yard room. Buffet was best deal for choice and quality..forget the fine dining restaurant but the best was the Steak House. Wild [... read more] dune buggy excursion fun as was zip lining. Quite a number of pools to choose from so you could be where there was a lot going on or others that were quiet and serene. All in all my whole family enjoyed the Riu Republic, and we have a lot of fond memories. Highly recommend accommodation.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Majestic Colonial Punta Cana

Just arrived back from 9 days at the Majestic Colonial Punta Cana. The resort itself is very clean, and the ground are very well maintained. Staff are quite friendly and for the most part very willing to help. The beach was fantastic, and again very well maintained by the hotel staff. Weather was just perfect!! We had booked the Adults only section c/w butler service etc. When we arrived on Dec 1st it was clear the renovations that had taken place for the past several months were not fini [... read more]shed, this resort never should have opened for at least another month. The VIP check in was not finished, room had no Wi Fi, phone not working ( big issue if you need a wake up call or have to contact your butler) TV did not work ( not a big deal for us) , mini fridge did not work. We were told, it's not supposed to keep the beverages cold, not sure what the purpose of the mini fridge was for then? Main buffet washrooms not ready, and a few mornings at breakfast they ran out of bottled water, the hand dryers did not work in several of the washrooms on the resort and also lacked toilet tissue on many occasions We were relocated to the Mirage which was a huge disappointment as our new room faced the construction of the new Royalton, and construction ran until midnight. Not an issue during the day as we spent our day at the beach, big issue at night time!! I'd like to make a special mention to several staff at the Colonial who helped make our trip memorable 1) Emmanuel our butler - the best ever !!! 2) Hector at the towel hut in the VIP section, 3) Oscar in the VIP lounge Also special mention to Miguelina our wonderful bar tender at the Majestic Mirage - and of course the beautiful Johanna who made the best martinis!!

Riu Republica: Riu Republica Punta Cana. Great Resort.

Grounds were clean and well kept. The beach was very nice. Large waves (a matter of preference - I like this) We booked an oceanview room and we were very happy with the view, the quality the size and the cleanliness of the room.

Now Garden Punta Cana: Great short stay

The Now Garden is a smaller atmosphere place. The check in was very informal and very quick. the check in staff, especially Eva M. was extremely proficient and friendly. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The Italian restaurant just off in the Lobby was excellent pasta foods and pizza's for dinner which also has the breakfast areas. Caroline was the door hostess who was a special treat with her exceptional kindness and friendliness. Luis at the little Lobby bar was also very friendly [... read more] and a pleasure to deal with. The other restaurants which is a short tram ride or about a 10 min walk over to the Lorimar were also good in regards to both food and service. The Lorimar's had nightly entertainment which keep the large gathering pleased with various much and a variety of entertainments. The disco that was upstairs and open air concept keep the after show crowd dancing and half open , half close concept is a nice concept with the night air blowing thru. They had a beach party with a bar on the beach and a very nice fire show. They did have some issues with continually running out of beer through out the days at the poolside bars which had many patrons unhappy. I found the beach area to be very large with plenty of available lounge chairs. One of the items that was confusing is that there are no wrist bands and there are VIP areas that are not clearly marked. I went to several areas the staff informed me that I was not VIP status and was not allowed there ( One bar and pool area and a restaurant by the beach). It would be a good Idea for the check in staff to advise of this . Overall very pleasant experience. Would consider a return visit.

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Amazing Resort

We stayed recently at Iberostar Bavaro suits with another four couples and head great time. Grounds are beautiful; beach is big so we had no problems to find a place on the beach. We all love ocean and although was rough sea we were able to enjoy water and swim. Entertainment was good and weather nice. What to say about a food? It was plenty of food and large variety of dishes and also very nicely displayed. Rooms and all restaurants were very clean. We would definitively go back.

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Amaizing resort

Amazing resort, fantastic food and service, very nice beach, but lousy entertainment. Nice a la cart restaurants especially buffets and barbecue. Very nice holiday lights around whole area and decorations.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: WOW !!

Its only 3.5 hours to paradise !! Everything was amazing . We had much to learn as this was our first all inclusive getaway . The restaurants were top notch with amazing 5 course meals and very friendly staff .

Riu Republica: Great Resort

I read through the many reviews of this hotel as I usually do before leaving for my vacation to pick up tips about any essentials I need to pack. Most of the reviews were negative, complaining about the food, the beach, the air conditioning, etc., none of which I experienced at this great hotel. I have traveled to many all inclusive resorts and this one is my absolute favourite for entertainment. With so many pools and swim-up bars to choose from, each with a different vibe, you could always  [... read more]find just the right spot. There were chairs galore on the beach and at the pools and unlike most resorts, they didn't seem to be saved with unused towels all day by others who never showed up. There were exercise programs and games all day long scattered throughout this large resort. The entertainment staff were so friendly, always smiling and engaging, but not too pushy. The water slides were crazy fun and well managed. With 2 separate stages for entertainment in the evening and the disco afterwards for the late nighters, there was something for everyone. I loved the smaller stage that closed around 11pm each night as it was more interactive with the audience and there was lots of dancing. The larger stage actually had more professional acts than other resorts I've been to. This adults only resort does not have a Spring Break vibe, there were visitors young and old mixing together with no segregated areas where you felt out of place. If you are tired of the tired entertainment at other resorts, you gotta check it out!

The Level at Melia Caribe: A big disappointment

The room was beautiful. The beaches were beautiful. That’s about the only good thing of our trip. The food was terrible. The worst Iv had in the Caribbean. Our travel agent claimed it was the best she’s ever had. Guess I should recommend some places to her. The people non stop harass you to buy stuff. We avoided the beach because they constantly tried to sell us drugs and knick nacks. We did a dune buggy excursion which was basically a single file slow follow the leader to three different sp [... read more]ots where they try to sell you more stuff. It honestly felt like the whole resort revolves around trying to force the traveller to doll out as much cash for garbage as possible. The staff will spite you with poor service if you don’t tip on basically everything. I definitely would not come back.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Good Resort,

Hotel very nice. Adult pool just perfect for noise and games. Beach was good. food Good but Transat organization and check in was horrible and the hotel needed to somehow let people know about the theathre shows better. Lack or organization there too. Did not like the bar closing at 11:30 on the ambar blue and have to go all the way to the village. otherwise, the rooms, food and grounds were great.

I stayed at this resort dec 1-8. I have been to many resorts in cuba and mexico but this is the best resort I have ever been to. What stands out the most is how clean everything and every place in the resort was. Workers were so friendly. Nobody was trying to sell you a timeshare. The drinks were amazing. The food was excellent. Presentation of the food was unbelievable and every day on the buffet was different and such a huge selection. The beach was beautiful.
