Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing resort!

I really liked the hotel. It was 7 pleasant days. I just did not like the excess of seaweed in the sea, it made me uncomfortable. The service with rare exceptions, was great. The room was the best that I have ever stayed in. All areas of the resort are well cleaned and the gardens are very well maintained.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Terrific staff and service

I stayed at Amber resort, actually transferred there from aquamarine. I found aquamarine to be better suited for the young 20’s vacationers and I wanted something quieter. Amber was awesome! Staff were amazing, friendly, and very accommodating! I felt very safe and worry free!

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Great Resort!

Awesome and clean resort with nice luxury touches in rooms. Great food options and friendly staff. Small pools and nice beach area. Yoga near the beach and small but fine gym near the lobby. Love the cafe and dessert bar in the Lobby.

Occidental Punta Cana: Treated like Royalty

My husband and I just spent 10 days at The Occidental Punta Cana in the Royal section. We got private check in and out, and access to all the Royal ammenaties. The good, service, grounds and beach were amazing!!! Our only issues were with Air Transat, if we can book with a different airline, we will return again for sure!!

Ocean El Faro: Nice hotel, but lacking service and high pressure time share situations

We recently returned from our stay at Ocean El Faro . The hotel was very pretty and the décor felt luxurious . The layout of the whole location was done well - for such a large facility . Having said this ,I was surprised to find that there was as much wear and tare on the facility , as we seen , including a broken shower door in our room - and missing handles on the patio doors for entrance . Unfortunately , until the hotel improves their service , I believe the return rate customer rate will be very low. General discussion with other vacationers confirmed this same sentiment . With the lack of service - , I would pass on this hotel ( hotel chain ) for any future bookings . It was very evident that because we did not speak Spanish , we did not get the same service, as some other visitors. We did experience a day at the buffet for breakfast that was missing plates , all drinks, glasses , many empty trays , along with long line ups for items. They do need to learn how to staff accordingly , which I expect is a learning curve of a new hotel . My suggestion to trip central - that there should be a notation made on the booking site - that this is a time share facility. There was a lot of constant pressure to attend meetings and tours , even with declining the invitation . It made it uncomfortable , trying to avoid different areas of the resort .

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Very Nice Resort with tons of Potential

We were very skeptical about going to this resort as the reviews right up until our stay were very mixed. Despite not being totally finished, this resort will be beautiful when finished, the boulevard is not yet complete which meant there was not a lot to do in the evenings - they are getting there. They still need to do some work with service levels, it took over six hours to get our room, when we finally did get our room we entered it only to find out it was occupied, they moved us to anothe [... read more]r room. We asked for an iron to be sent to the room every day and kept being told they will send it over to us - they never did. All-in-all we managed. I think the reps at Tripcentral should be better informed when it comes to newer hotels, it would have been nice to have a little more information from the rep in order to help make a decision - not their fault. In speaking to some people that booked through Sunwing, they were made aware of what stage the hotel was at as well as some of the negetive press the Dominican Republic has recently been getting and where given the choice to continue on with their vacation to Lopesan Bavaro or change it to another destination - this was not part of any insurance plan. Overall it was a very nice resort, very nice pools, great decor, food was excellent and most importantly the weather was great. We would definately consider returning to this resort in a couple of years when it is all done.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Great vacation

I recently vacationed at the Be Live Marien resort in Puerto Plata, DR with my 16 year old twins. I went into a Trip Centrallocation in Ottawa and Amanda helped book this family vacation. I cant say enough about the service Amanda provided me. She was always there if I had any questions or concerns. Would highly recommend her to all. We had a fantastic time. Casa Marina Reef Resort: Casa Marina Reef

Good place to enjoy. Little resort with amazing staff. Clean and the food is good. Not the choice you have in bigger hotel but good enough. A lot of Europeans which interesting. The beach is not big but kind of private and very clean. The restaurant à la carte are ok but the wine is not to be taken although the beer is very good. Overall very good value.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Awesome people, food and accommodations

This adult only resort was quiet, relaxing and just what we needed. The staff are amazing and the resort is beautifully maintained. The only drawback was the seaweed on the beach! Nothing the resort can control but as a result we chose to hang out at one of the 3 options of pools. (2 on the royal side and 1 in the family side) we also had upgraded to a swim out with our room so we had plenty of choices to cool down. The food was top notch and portions were perfect!

Le Sivory: Exactly what we needed!

This beautiful little gem of a resort offers peaceful, tranquil days and pleasant quiet evenings, surrounded by beauty and the sound of the waves. The food is excellent and the service is to notch. Highly recommend the ocean front rooms!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Paradise resort

This was by far the best place I’ve ever stayed at. It was so much fun. The people were amazing, funny, nice and helpful and the vibes were out of this world. I felt so safe and happy. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

I loved the fact that it was an adults only resort. Pool bar was fun. Well maintained grounds. Maintenance and cleaning done daily and nightly. Room was very nice. Staff were friendly. Food was great as well. Entertainment crew were super fun and enthusiastic.

Excellence El Carmen: Exceeded all expectations

Our first impression of this resort was "wow". Through the week it continued to exceed our expectations. This resort is definitely a couples resort. It is focused on creating a great couples experience. Dinner on the beach, swim out rooms, jacuzzi tubs, it is a great resort for quiet time for couples to do their own thing or to enjoy some entertainment through shows or the disco. We stayed in an ocean front swim out honey moon suite and I highly recommend it. We had our own pool area and the bar tender served us right to our pool! Be aware there is a new resort going in next door and the construction can be a little noisy. We Brough a bluetooth speaker and our music blocked the noise. Also because of the time of year there was seaweed on the beach however the staff did a great job keeping it under control. We loved the dinner restaurants, each one was great. You don't have to make reservations which is great because you don't have to commit ahead of time. The menus are on the TV so you can see your options before picking a restaurant. The beds are very comfortable and they supply a variety of pillow choices! There is a large selection of room service options. I can't say enough about the staff, they truly want to make sure you have everything you need and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. We loved everything about this resort and will definitely return!

Riu Republica: great trip

Went with 4 friends and had a great time. Rooms, water, and the hotel are very clean, people are very nice as well. Enjoyed the restaurants as well as buffet. Slides were fun. Decent amount of walking which I didn’t mind at all

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Average

The buffet was understaffed. We had to chase someone for water or coffee every morning. It was worse on the weekend when nationals came for 2 days. There was no extra staff and it was vastly over booked for the staff and restaurants that were there. One day we had to wait for plates, seats and glasses before getting our food. Food was average but only select sit down restaurants were available daily. Sunscape Puerto Plata: Sunscape Puerto Plata

We had a wonderful time at the resort. The service was 5 stars. The resort needs a renovation and update and the more variety in the food selection. Would return with my family. The daily activities was fun and entertaining.

Blau Natura Park Resort: Amazing experience

The resort grounds were life changing, very unique and beautiful. Dining spaces were perfect and always clean, the food was amazing every meal. I recommend the resort to anyone who is looking for something very natural and different.

Riu Republica: Best resort ever!

Ignore the negative reviews. They are just a bunch of miserable people who will never be satisfied. Great party resort with amazing entertainment, staff and food. Don’t. Miss the pool party if you end up going to this resort. The DJ killed it.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Un très bon hôtel, tout y est on a eu un séjour magnifique on va y retourner

Malgré tout ce qu'on entend sur la République Dominicaine on s'est sentis en sécurité et tout était excellent à cet hôtel. Je le recommande. Plage aussi très bien avec beaucoup des palapas mais un peut venteux. Du soleil toute la semaine passé mais pas sentie la chaleur il y avait une bonne brise. Et à souligner qu'il y a pas des moustiques très apprécié le soir.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Great resort

Food was good, room was very clean, and hotel staff was very helpful. Had a great time at the beach, it is a small resort but didn't mind since restaurants,pool, and beach were all close to our room!
