Palma Real: Good Resort

Grounds, facilities and pools were all very well kept. Although the beach wasn't on the resort, it was very close and there was a snack bar there for the guests which was nice. Food was very bland and there wasn't a great deal of variety. As a vegetarian I found it difficult to find things to eat.

Memories Jibacoa: Handy and convenient, Not much walking.

Arrived well before noon on April 13/17 and did not have a room until after 4 p.m. Most of the food is either lukewarm or cold unless you want to stand in line while they cook it fresh for you. Had problems with Air in the room 3 nights in a row, woke up in a sweat. Took 3 complaints to finally have it repaired properly. Had cramps and diarrhea after each of 3 different a-la-carte restaurants and still suffering today, April 24/17. We booked a tour of Havana with Sunwing rep. and after wait [... read more]ing over 45 min. for the bus, it arrived at least half an our late and was so packed, we could not get 2 seats together and had to cancel.

Palma Real: Great vacation

I found the atmosphere to be very friendly .l thought the buffet was adequate and the coffee bar was amazing. This was my second stay at this resort and l would go again! I may use this resort as a vacation in October.

Memories Jibacoa: A Great Return Trip to Memories Jibacoa April 2017

This was our third time staying at Memories Jibacoa. We had wanted to return because of the great snorkelling just off the beach and we really liked the location of the resort, it is not In a strip of hotels, but more isolated and quiet. We were very pleased with a number of developments at the hotel. The food is much better, especially in the buffet. The Cuban restaurant was the best of the three reservation restaurants. We received two calls during our stay ask if our room was okay or if there was anything that could be done to make our stay better. When we arrived, our Oceanview room was spotless. The furniture is getting a bit dated, but there are new towels and shower curtains, which were very nice. The air conditioner in our room sounded like a 747 about to take off and we asked if could be fixed and it was that same day. The hotel has also improved the wines it has for sale and the prices are reasonable. The one problem that we had during our stay was the weather. It was very windy for the whole week and that limited the amount of snorkelling we could do.

Club Kawama: Great Trip

We had a great experience at Club Kawama, the resort itself is older but very clean and the staff are very friendly. The food was good, air conditioning great and lots of hot water. The beaches are stunning and lots to do.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Very nice resort

The Paradisus Princesas Del Mar was a very nice and clean resort, the rooms were well kept and in very good condition. There is a great number of restaurant on the resorts which offer a good variety of food which was good overall. The evening entertainment was great but during the day it la is a little and was pretty quiet. The resort is adult only and very quiet until approximately 9-10 am. Overall a great place but We would have to say that the service was very poor and not uncommon to sit the [... read more]re and wait for about 20 Minutes just to be acknowledged prior anyone coming over to take your order. If something could be improved that is definitely it the service for sure. If you are someone that puts a lot of emphasis on having internet access well there is no free wifi and the internet service is very poor. Overall we had a great vacation, the weather was not the greatest for the beach with high winds so it was more of a pool week.

Paradisus Varadero: Awesome beachfront

We had a little trouble at the beginning,the room was dirty,the bed inadequate,etc. The hôtel management then switched us to an ocean view room and everything went well from there. I suggest sakura and fuego for the a la carte restaurant.

Playa Caleta: Nice resort!

Good value for your buck! Nice clean resort, friendly staff, food was good, beach right there, 24 hour drinks, maid service was great, clean towels, new toilet paper & clean room everyday. Hot water everyday. Only downfalls to this resort, fridge & safe didn't work in our room but they offered to fix asap. The resort was a little far from downtown, we took a cab, bus & horse & bug to downtown they all cost about the same with the bus being the cheaper option at 5 cuc per person both ways but the [... read more]y stop running at 6pm so cab & horse from downtown cost approx. 15 cuc.

Club Kawama: Well worth the cost

Pleasantly surprised by the overall resort. Beautiful beach,,,best in Cuba for sure and the pool area was quite nice. Yes the rooms were just ok,,,but are you going for the room. The buffet was...a buffet,,,,and any buffet gets a bit stale after 10 or 15 visits,,,but i am very picky and i was able to find enough to eat with no problem. Every place has someone who seems miserable,,,but we had a 6 year old with us and by midweek the restaurant staff were inviting us to sit in there area. Los Delfines: Great Location

The hotel is right in town so it is easy to walk anywhere. It was different from our usual jaunt to a resort where you are somewhat isolated and stuck on the resort for the duration of your stay unless you take excursions. Here you can walk off the resort and you are in town where there is lots to see and clubs, shops and restaurants you can go to. Many people staying there do not eat at the resort because there are so many reasonable restaurants in walking distance. If you don't want to wa [... read more]lk there are other options. We took a horse and buggy ride which was fun (10 CUC half hour). The buggy driver gave us some good tips on places to eat. Because so many of the guests are out and about, the lines at the bars and buffet are mostly nonexistent (April). We had the basic room on the third floor (nice view). The room was small but met our needs. The room was clean and the maid did a good job. It appeared to be newly renovated with fresh paint and tile. The balcony was only about 2 ' by 3'. If you want a room with a larger balcony with chairs etc. let them know when you book. They have them, depends on what building you stay in. The food was ok - about what one would expect for a three star resort in Cuba. The a-la-cart restaurant was very good. It is not easy to get booked in, so see to that as soon as possible. The beach was nice. Cool, white sand that goes way out in the water. No rock or coral. Water was comfortable temp in April. It was windy most days so there were waves and the non-motorized water sports were not running most days. The only criticism I have is the lack of shade. They have too few palapas at the beach and shade for about six at the pool. People have to drop their towels on chairs very early in the morning to try to reserve chairs with shade. Some are putting their towels there late at night. There were arguments over this practice between guests. It shouldn't be necessary. They could put more palapas's up at the beach, and umbrellas at the pool. Overall it was a good week.

Palma Real: Great hotel for the price

This was my first time in varadero and it was wonderful. The resort was walking distance to fantastic restaurants and night life. Rooms were well kept, pools were beautiful. The beach was amazing - the resort even had a beach bar and snack bar!

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Fun In The Sun

Nice resort. Rooms very nice and clean. Lots of variety at the Buffet. Beautiful sandy beach with plenty of lounge chairs. Pools very clean and lots of lounge chairs. Beach towel service would have been nice but we had to use our same towel all week as there were no clean ones available any day. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Riding the double decker bus into Varadero was lots of fun and very convenient. Thank you for recommending this resort.

Palma Real: A pleasant stay

Rooms were infested with flies. The condition of suites not he greatest Not enough towels per occupants Toilet flushing very poor Curtains could be refreshed Some new paint could be applied Close to ocean and city might life Mostly friendly staff

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Awesome Resort

I went with a group of 5 girlfriends, as we go to Cuba every year and try out a new Resort and we were totally impressed! Although there was a long distance from our room to the main building/lobby our room was like paradise over the ocean and you got a chance to wear off the food lol. Room was reasonable although a few issues that were never dealt with the oceanview made up for it. Powerful nice shower but it flooded the floor each time used, phone was not connected but who needs a phone! F [... read more]ood was good, as Cuban food is lol. The entertainment was great. And of course, what can you say about the ocean!!!! We all noticed all the work going on to continue with improving the resort.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Laguna azul iberostar Cuba

The hotel lobby was great very clean and well serviced staff , the room were cleaned on time and kept very neat. I would add the beds were rather hard and blankets could be upgraded .Bathrooms around the resort did however lack toilet paper even in the women's washrooms and male washrooms were often closed for unknown reasons making the female washrooms unisex. The food was great just harder to access the buffet when the hotel was fully booked which it was , I'd say more walking room is needed i [... read more]n between the buffet sections. The pool areas were all great and the snack bars were a reliable source of drink and food during the day. There is a real lack of washrooms in between the hotel and the beach , as a male I got by but I think females would find this a problem. The night life at Laguna azul is probably better then most resorts , the entertainment night shows were well put together and worth seeing every night. The a la carts had great service and food. The staff overall at Laguna was very friendly even if you didn't tip them every single time you seen them. I can't say I'd go back mainly only because I don't like going to same place twice for all inclusive however I would recommend it to anyone going to Cuba 🇨🇺

Playa Vista Azul: Amazing resort

Awesome resort, not to big so everything was within a short walking distance. Staff very friendly and a lot spoke English, beach beautiful but a bit small but everyone got a lounger that wanted one, restaurant right at the beach overlooking ocean was a nice touch. Will be our resort of choice when we return to Cuba ❤️

Muthu Playa Varadero: Resort is outstanding! Staff are amazing! Love it there.

Food is good, staff try to accommodate in every way to make your stay memorable. That's why this was my 15th visit to this resort. All staff remember you from year to year.The beach is amazing! I would not vacation anywhere else!

Muthu Playa Varadero: Third visit. Sure to be a fourth !

This was our third visit to this resort. I found they had more flavour and spices in their food this time. Room was clean. Pool was clean. Beach still beautiful. Never went hungry. Service consistently good. Come to Cuba to experience their lifestyle not expect them to change to suit yours and your sure to have a great vacation

Muthu Playa Varadero: Very satisfed

Starfish Varadero: Okay Resort

We asked to be closer to downtown Varadero and we ended up at a different starfish resort so we were disappointed and every other resort was booked .So we made the best of our vacation .We will make sure next time that we are at the right location .Our travel guide was awesome and we will book with her again .We always deal with trip central and will continue to do so .
