Hotel Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort: Amazing resort and staff!!

Hotel was amazing, pool area and cliff jumping was awesome for the kids. Highlight of the kids trip was our butler Eduardo 😃He was amazing and the kids just loved him! We were in platinum building 14 with an amazing ocean view and huge room.

El Dorado Maroma: Quiet, intimate resort.

This is a lovely, intimate resort. Even when it's full, it feels deserted. What a beach! Miles of fine, white sand to run or walk along. Food, as in any Karisma resort is great, although usually only three restaurants are open. Evening entertainment is pretty lame but they try. Great resort to just veg at.

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Beautiful Beach!

The beach is beautiful, after they clean it up. The amount of plastic that washes up is disgusting. Probably most from the cruise ships. I don’t know why that can’t have one person to walk up and down the beach cleaning it. With the money pumped in, I’m sure they could afford. Rooms are nice. Food was better last year. Great staff!

Tukan Hotel Playa Del Carmen: Mixed feelings

The best thing about this hotel is its location; right on 5th Ave at the centre of the action. However, multiple things are problematic: 1) our room was located right by the cleaning crew's storage room which meant very loud and inconsiderate conversations at 6am and 11pm. 2) although our room was cleaned daily, we had to ask for basic things like hand towels and for the shower head to be fixed. Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Fantastic resort

We loved our vacation at Secret Silver Sands. The food was especially impressive. The service, whether at any restaurant, at the pool or at the beach was very attentive and friendly. 15 to 20 minutes from the airport which cut down on travel time to and from the airport.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing resort, wonderful resort, excellent

The best resort we’ve been for everything we rate 100%. Excellent for everything :dining,cleanliness,beach,pool etc. We were very happy and had a wonderful vacation and holiday at Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal Don Pablo Colection

Grand Oasis Riviera: Beautiful Resort/Room Issues

Resort was beautiful , loved the clean pools , food was awesome , buffet carried huge collection. Coming to room , we were not that lucky, first room we got was balcony as promised by my agent , but that room had a leaky washroom and they did not upgrade us instead shifted us to a smaller room. Whose shower broke very second day ,had choked Wash basin which never got fixed, then we had faulty AC which hardly got fixed . Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Great Resort!

Hotel was clean and high quality. Staff were accommodating, highly energetic, and polite. Food variety was better than other hotels and quality was good. Activities offered were nice - dolphins were on site and affordable so that was also a plus. Only potentially negative point is that the resort is about an hour and a half from the airport. This could also be considered a plus as it means you are contained to the hotel once you arrive and avoid spending additional money :)

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Amazing Resort

Awesome Resort! The foods are great and had different variety. The staffs are friendly. The resort are clean. No mosquitos and bugs during day time especially in the night. The facility and the beach are very cleaned.

Grand Sunset Princess: Fantastic trip

The staff were friendly the resort was clean loved my room with jacuzzi and swim up room who could ask for more the drinks were strong unlike Cuba my only complaint was the food not a big enough selection nothing special but was ok

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Sandos Caracol Eco Resort - very good

The hotel is very nice, and the eco-friendly features are a plus. On the minus side, 1) always big lineups at the reception and long waiting times (we waited a bit over 1 hour to check in) 2) killer mosquitos in the evening but there are mosquito repellent dispensers free to use throughout the resort. But other than these, no complaints, everything was excellent. Pools, wild life, bike trail on which you can run too, food, friendly staff, clean amenities and rooms. Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: WARNING!! Mexico is DANGEROUS!

I travelled with my 22 yr old daughter to Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda from Dec.24-29. On our second last day she was drugged and taken from our room in the middle of the night! I woke up and she was gone. I believe hotel security tried to cover it up and offered no help. The USA government has posted warning for tourists but the Canadian Government has not. Trip Advisor removes posted reviews that reflect any of the tainted alcohol and drugging incidents. Stay safe and avoid this count [... read more]ry! The drug cartels run the country and law enforcement, so you have no protection. We were lucky and made it out alive and now how safe. I will never travel to Mexico again.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Amazing place!

Needs to up date the rooms and the grounds! It has been well used! Need to add a bar over at the quiet pool and more bathrooms! More help at the out door restaurant staff very pleasant and helpful! Need more rides to hotels had to wait for everyone to get to the van and they the driver packed the very tight.. we where over 3 hours before getting to hotel!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: It was AMAZING!!!!!

The people, the service, the amenities, the food, the drinks everything was incredible.You really got to experience the 5-star treatment and felt like royalty. I will definitely be planning a return trip soon I hope...

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Excellent Resort!

Nice all inclusive resort with excellent service and amenities. - Kids club for ages 4 and above: the staff was very reliable and the kids enjoyed it tremendously with both indoor and outdoor activities! - weather was great - splash pad and pool were excellent - buffet was pretty extensive. However, need to provide more options for vegetarians and vegans.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing resort but terrible food

Resort facilities are nice. Workers do smile and responsive to visitors requests. Good kids club. Good shows. Good water park. However terrible food. Lacks variety and vegetarian options are a joke. If you don’t eat meat, get ready to feel starved.

Sunwing was great english. others not so good... Just wanna say that this is my first time ever going away for Christmas in 30 years . The one thing that really upset me was when I was trying to check out and leave. I did a "50 min" spa which i was told it was 70$ CDN that was to be charged to my room. ( which I thought would of been to my visa I used to book the trip. ) when i went to check out, they told me i had to pay in cash or i wasn't able to check out and be boarded on the bus b [... read more]ack to the airport. I didn't have cash on me, forced me to use a ATM, $6 sur charge fee just to use it. then when i went to go pay my 70$ bill, for some reason it came out to be 85$ CDN, and when i gave a 100$ CDN bill, they gave me back PESOS and told me tough luck, here's your check out papers, and be on my way pretty much. I would not recommend this place to someone whose looking for stress free vacation.. and for what i paid to go on this trip... you think i would have gotten a little better service.

Catalonia Yucatan: Very Relaxing Resort!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Catalonia Mayan Riviera. I had a fantastic oceanfront room with 3 balconies (incredible!) and I could not have been more comfortable. They kept my room stocked with bottled water and soft drinks, etc. so after a day outside, always came back to a clean and well-serviced room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating at all the restaurants, bars and spa locations. There was great variety at all the restaurants and good food as well. Friendly, accommodation acting staff. Every meal was like a work of art. Tastes and chooses excellent. The room was emasculate and fridge was consistently stocked. If there were more than 5 stars, they would get it. THe best part was the care and expertise given by Deb O Donnel of Trip Central.
