Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Unique smaller resort with access to more within the Bahia complex!
The Sian Ka'an is a smaller adults only resort, that's not on the Ocean. They have a trolley service that takes you to the other resorts, that are on the Ocean. You also have the option to book a la cartes at the other resorts as well. This resort is in need of upgrading, but is still comfortable. The buffet really needs to offer more dishes, as it gets very repetitive. I really expected more from a Bahia Principe resort. The staff were great, with the exception of a couple of servers. Posada Real Los Cabos: Amazing Resort: Posada Real Los Cabos
Our recent stay at Posada Real was more than we had hoped for. This resort is older but very well maintained, very clean and a true authentic Mexican experience. We cannot say enough positive things about the staff. They were attentive and gracious. We were in the all-inclusive package and the meals and refreshments were top notch. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool area was very nice and the resort is right on the ocean with a beautiful, sandy beach access. We will be going again a [... read more]
Ocean Riviera Paradise: Absolute Paradise !!!
This resort is amazing. We checked in seamlessly and received a free upgrade without asking. We booked a junior and received a premium room with swim up pool. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The resort was spotless and the food amazing and endless. Tons to do and lots of live entertainment etc. Would definitely recommend this beauty for a luxury vacation at an affordable budget!!
Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Great resort!
We just loved it! Everything about this place is great for a nice vacation. The beach, gardens, pool, food, room etc were all great! Staff were very nice and helpful, all service was great. The cherry on top were the birds and animals in the gardens, which we enjoyed a lot! Can’t wait to go back!
Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres: Ocean Allure vacation Feb 18-25, 2026
Lovely hotel, rooms were well appointed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Had a few challenges trying to making reservations for dinner. The French restaurant was amazing as well as the beach restaurant. There was great areas to sit around the pools. All in all it was a fantastic vacation.
Riu Ventura: Beautiful new resort
We recently stayed as a group at Riu Ventura. Resort is brand new. Rooms are beautiful and clean. The food, drinks and service are great. The beach is beautiful however the water is pretty rough. Our kids loved it but they are older. May not be a great choice for little ones. There is quite a lot of noise from traffic in the evening. Upon arrival there was a strong sewage odour outside the front of the Hotel that lasted the first couple days but never smelled after that. You don't smell it insid [... read more]
Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: PV a at its best Sheraton Bougainvillea
This resort more than met our expectations. There was nothing we to complain about. The location to the Malecon is walkable, food excellent, staff friendly and efficient. We swam early every morning. Received good advice re tours. We had never been to PV and will return to this hotel next year. I have already recommended it to a friend.
Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Good all around All inclusive
Firstly the area and property of the resort and its surroundings is beautiful with mountains and jungle. The resort itself is very clean and about a 45-1hour drive from the airport. The staff is very pleasant and aim to please, David and Moses were stand outs. The reins are very large and more than you will ever need. Don’t waste your money on the upgraded prestige package it provides very little for the money. The resort is close to snorkelling and other boat tours so no need to head into PV. T [... read more]
Riu Ventura: Worse Resort ever!!! star rating 2.5 to 3 the most
Seeing that I paid over $6,000 for a week my expectations were high seeing this is suppose to be a 5 star and equivalent to a Dreams resort. What went wrong 1. Food poisoning that my husband got from the sport bar (chicken wings) 2. Cancun is known for high winds, they choose the cheaper way and only put out umbrellas. Due to high winds, we only were able to sit on the beach 2 days as they advised that the umbrellas will fly away. They should have installed permanent Palapas. 3. No ent [... read more]
Secrets Huatulco: Amazing views and staff!
We had an amazing time at this resort, however it needs some updating. The views were exceptional and staff went above and beyond! Especially Carlo from Buffett! The drinks were wonderful and entertainment was top notch. They had various bands playing at the bar and the shows were fantastic.
Barcelo Maya Colonial: Barceló
We enjoyed our stay at the Barcelo The food was awesome and we enjoyed the à la carts. Our room was kept very clean but we had difficulty adjusting the air conditioner and found the sheets very damp due to the excess humidity. We did not enjoy the towel game. There were not enough loungers available due to people from other areas ie Tropical etc using the beach front in front of the Colonial The staff was excellent
Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay: Beautiful landscape
The hotel was nice and clean but had a musty smell and is outdated, could use updating, grounds are beautiful also pools very nice and clean and staff was all great Could also use 1 or 2 more restaurants, not many choices also no night life at all, great for older people who dont want night entertainment
Barcelo Maya Tropical: Great Resort!
We had a great week. Beautiful sunny week with nice temperatures. Lots of fun doing activities on resort and one outing with Transat. The staff were nice and a special thanks to Armin Morales for making our week by greeting us in the mornings with a beautiful smile and just having us laugh which made a great way to start a day. The room was okay but the bathroom can be renovated. The food was delicious. All in all we had a great week!! Monique & Brian.
Riu Latino: It’s ok, not great.
This hotel is not 5 stars it’s 3 on a good day. My boyfriend and I arrived late that we missed dinner on the first night. So our option was the 24 hour snack bar, you know what we had to choose from, ham and cheese sandwiches and ice cold hot dogs that we were told to microwave. So 0 star on that. The beach was fantastic! It looks like a Cuba beach which is amazing, however if you want drinks on the beach you better be ready to wave down only 2 servers that serve the beach or participate in a lo [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Love this place
Our second time here and it was as good as the first. Good food, XX Beer, nice beach. Staff were great. PGA Golf course on the property is a bonus. We had a swim up room and it was refreshing after playing in the waves for till 2pm. Best vacation ever.
Grand Oasis Cancun: Amazing but way to big
Excellent hotel beautiful beach and pools. But with the booking we where not able to eat in the restaurants as they where booked for the week and there level that we where booked with was last if there was a space. Never offered the upper levels. So you ate at the buffet for the week. House keeping and bar replenishments where non existent for the week we had to run and ask daily to get towels and water The best part of the vacation was the weather
Crown Paradise Golden: Great experience!
People were wonderful, weather was impeccable. Not the nicest resort I’ve been to but the workers were amazing with the events that happened in Puerto Vallarta. Rooftop pool was my favourite place to be!
Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Relaxing Resort
The rooms are great everything clean. The food and staff are amazing. Downside is the walk to the beach. Because that is what I go on vacation for. But if you like to stay at the pool, I would recommend this for you. The pool is heated you can go in early in the morning and in the evening.
Samba Vallarta: A delightful holiday
I found the grounds to be beautifully landscaped and extremely well maintained. The property was always clean and tidy. The buffet room and 2 ala carte restaurants were always spotless and food presentation excellent. My room was cleaned thoroughly everyday. Every staff member I interacted with showed me 100% great service. Their concierge, Rafael Oviedo provided top notch service to me when I approached him a few times during my stay.
Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: 3 Star at best
This hotel is a 3 star at best. After check in the time was around 10pm and there was absolutely nothing to eat. We were tired and hungry but when trying to ask no staff could speak English. When we got to our room (7106) the smell hit us like a ton of bricks. The smell of rotten cabbage and sewage was horrible. Not only the smell but we were missing a hairdryer, hangers, clean sheets and an extra cot that was ordered months in advance. I called the front desk right away and and was told we [... read more]
