Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Superb resort for families

Amazing hotel for families with young children like ours. With two waterparks and great food and drinks you will all enjoy your stay. Great pools and nightly shows to top it all off as well. The only downside is sea weed at the beach.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Caution with this resort

Just to put context on me and my family, I have been working 2-3 jobs to pay for this lifetime vacation for me and my family (wife and 2 kids 16years old boy and 19 years old girl). First everything went well with airport and flights. The problem started with arriving at the Hotel Bahia Principe Grand. First deception is that none of the request I made for room were granted – Close to Beach – upper floor - at least 1 room with 2 beds. NONE of this was given we were really far from beach and [... read more] put on the first floor and my son 6foot 1inch had to sleep on a rollaway bed for the first night. This was a real letdown; I know request for rooms are not guaranteed but none of the 3 request is a big big disappointment. After the first night my son told me the rollaway bed he did not sleep well, so I decide to go to the lobby and demand another room. THIS IS WHERE THING WENT SOUR AND WERE I WAS PROBABLY TRICK, EXPLOITED, CHEATED OUT OF 450$ US DOLLARS BY BAHIA PRINCIPE FRONT DESK STAFF. When I ask for another room, I was told it was not possible except rooms in the newly renovated room called Premium room. I ask the person at the front desk is these room right beside construction site because I notice on the first day that there was lots of construction on the first day, the person at the front desk told me and assured me it was not, so I trusted him and paid the 450 dollars for the room upgrade so my son would not have to sleep in a rollaway bed. Once we arrived at the room 3112 in Villa 3. I saw that I was lied to and deceived by person at front desk, this room was the closest from construction there was and my kids (Teenagers) who like to sleep in the morning were not able because of screaming construction employees at 7h30AM and heavy construction starting at 8hAM every morning. Also, my son made me notice that they had small ants in the room. The 3rd day my son told me, Dad this vacation was supposed to be to relax, rest and fun. This made me very frustrated, so I went to the front desk again because I paid for this not acceptable upgrade and lost 2hours on day 2 to move all our stuff, I ask the front desk to find us other rooms and they said resort was full!!!!!!! So I demanded my 450$ back and they said it was not possible. So at this point I was very upset and try very hard to not let this ruined our vacation but this was not the last story of these room from HELL…… 3rd night 11hpm Room 3110 my wife goes to toilet and then I ear screams, big big insect cockroach in the bathroom I try to kill it and could not it lodge itself under the toilet, I call front desk and finally at 1h30AM someone show up with a can of Raid, spays under the toilet and leaves. 4 day we notice a refrigerator is not working called front desk but never got repaired all 8days we were their also we notice really bad smell in room that’s when I notice bad stains of MOLD all over our selling in the room….Also the air conditioning in our room was barely working I had to hop in the shower 2 times a night and take a cold shower so I could sleep!!!! At this point if it would a been possible to leave this resort I would been out off their in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, this story is not over. When had visit from cockroaches for the next 4 nights, again my wife went to the bathroom at 1ham et another cockroach so I called front desk they said someone would come, 2ham nobody shows up, so I had to go cockroach hunting at 2ham after I that I did not call front desk anymore and killed every cockroach we had in room. I went back to front desk but was not taken seriously for bugs in room, bad smell and mold also they told us old refrigerator and air conditioning is normal , which was not because my kids room was so cool and refrigerator too. I did try to reach by email TripCentral to the person that I had as email contact when I purchase my vacation but like the resort, they had my money and where not interested in helping me. I that time I just gave up with front desk and TripCentral to recuperate my money 450$ because I was trying to enjoy my vacation. Is there anyway I get my 450$ US dollars back and some kind of compensation from tripcentral for leaving me there and not respond to my emails. I HOPE A GET A RESPOND FROM THIS

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Bad resort. I don't recommend!

We stayed at the BahiaPrincipe Grand la Romana resort in Dominican from June 7 to June 14 and it was a bad experience. Initially, we were upset that it was impossible to swim in the sea. There are a lot of wasps on the beach. There is almost no entertainment for children, only one small pool and a playground that was often closed. The staff barely speaks English. My son somehow jumped back very quickly and we were lucky. When I tried to find out what kind of snake it was, whether it was poisonous or not, and whether there were many of them here, they ignored me with smiles. Near the pool, someone took one of our towels, and when I came to the reception desk about this, the woman standing there in a rude and dissatisfied manner said that it was our responsibility to take care of the towel and wanted us to pay for it. But in the end, she was very dissatisfied and gave us a new card. In the bars, the bartenders also spoke almost no English and always had dissatisfied faces. We often had to wait a long time for our drink or sometimes were simply ignored. The day before departure, we went to the reception to find out when they would come for us, but there they told us that they didn’t know anything and it was our concern and they told us to find out for ourselves. As a result, on the day of departure, in a panic, we began to look for someone to take us to the airport and were ready to take a taxi, but thanks to Belboy, thank you very much, we found our driver. We spent a lot of nerves. And the worst thing is that our children, 4 and 2 years old, contracted scabies there. We had to immediately rush to the hospital upon arriving home. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone and will not go there again.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great Experience!

Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal is a great resort! Stay at one, play at four and having visited the other three, it was clear we made the right choice. Deluxe rooms are the most updated and closer to the Adult only pool and daytime restaurant. Staff were fantastic and met our needs. Food was excellent, with 17 a la cartes. We enjoyed the 6 we booked...we used the app and you must book them the day you arrive, once you get your room # as fill fast. Some restaurants are outside so no A/C obviously and sports bar at neither hotel has A/C, which proved uncomfortable in the evening, when so humid! Exit visa - did not ask us to pay anything. Advised by our Air Transat Rep that they are removing that in a few weeks to best not to pay....fortunately we didn't do before we left.

The resort was amazing, everything was really good, best vacation ever The rooms was properly cleaned every day, the good amazing and the shows spectacular I'll be there again as soon as I can Thanks guys

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great resort

Food was good in all spots. The resort was a lot of fun. The bartender and service around the resort was very easy for us top notch. They made Canadian Ceasar drinks. Maybe only issue there were a lot of kids and big groups maybe not for all but it didn't bother us.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Room annoyance

The resort overall was very beautiful, a lot of places to dine, beach on the grand side did not have rocks in the water. My biggest disappointment was when checking in. After making note that we wanted 2 double beds we were given a king for 3 adult women. We were told that a cot would be delivered to the room. After a long travel day we checked in and went to dinner, enjoyed the musician in the lobby before returning to the room. Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Family vacation

We had a good experience in this hotel, great food and amazing staff. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean and excellent service. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Negative: jellyfish in the beach

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Nice resort

The resort is small and some of the rooms are dated but we preferred to be closer to the beach rather than having a new room. Lots of mosquitoes but it is Caribbean after all. Food was very good . The beach is beautiful and all personal very nice and attentive. Good value for the money.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Holiday

We stayed at this resort in June 2024. Overall worth the cost. The grounds were well maintained. Abundance of food and options for all. Staff were kind and tried their best to help when needed. The resort is quite old with some issues which required attention like room updates, leaking ceiling, appliance not functioning but were fixed for us. No room service available. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this resort. The staff was so warm and polite. The room was comfortable and clean. The food offered was full of variety and was simply the best. We loved the beach. The water was not too deep band was clean and clear.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing adult resort

We spend a week at the Bahia Principe luxury Bougainville resort. Very nice well kept resort. Buffet food was 3 times a day unbelievable. Even my favourite bagels, cream cheese and lox. The a La carte restaurants are very good and the French restaurant is a big 10. We had lamb chops there, unbelievable. The room with a fully stock and refilled fridge was great. Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Great resort for family

The grounds are well maintained. The main restaurant and the steak house serve a variety of delicious food. Service in the main restaurant is exceptionally good and the place is constantly being cleaned! My grandkids really enjoyed the beach, swimming pool, water parks, the mini golf and the magic show. Good price for a family vacation!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Room for improvement

Hotel looks exactly like pictures. Is it a 5 stars hotel? More like a 3 stars. When we first arrived (hour drive from the cancun airport) they welcomed us with champagne glasses. We then told them we asked for a bigger room via email before we arrived, on the email they told us we were in the new renovated villas. But at the desk, they told us it's not available and we have villa 53 (old). We said please we have a daughter that has a breathing condition and we'd like for things to be clean and s [... read more]pacious. Then they said for the renovated villas it will be a charge of US$1,300 EXTRA. which is weird because they just said the room was not available. Anyway, we did not upgrade. Our room was small, first floor, everyone was passing by our balcony, so no privacy. It was also dirty, the walls in the bathroom was not clean (there were drops of things all over) and we got but by fire ants in the room. They sent the exterminator 3 days later though. We got approached by the privileged club and they told us they will treat us better if we sign up with them and that's how they treat people that book through an agency. They obviously told that to the wrong person because I right away said if they think we will come back after this hahaha. Food was okay, got food poisoning from the buffet, but a la carte restaurants were nice most of them. I would give 5 stars for the entertainment ans the kids club 100% those people are amazing and they were the ones that made our trip bearable! Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Room for Improvements after Renovations

If looking for the Luxury Experience perhaps one day it will be Esmeralda but for now it does not stand up to the experiences I have had both at Ambar and Fantasia. A portion of the staff certainly lacked experience. Guest experience for example could not be found at their designated station set up at the building entrance any of the numerous times we passed by. At the beginning of the stay a rep. was outside the breakfast buffet, noted a few requests we had (essential oil scented room and slip [... read more]pers) but never happened. On the last day met another rep. told him of this but by then too late. Another inconsistency was with the kid's club night entertainment. Timing of anything for the kids was a miss most nights. However, during the day the ladies were very good to look after the children. I would recommend Esmeralda but not to expect the luxury experience.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing resort

I would definitely go back to this resort. The service was excellent from all staff members at the bahai principe luxury akumal. Food wow tones to choose from at the buffet. They need to put in some A/C in some of there restaurants,very warm well waiting for dinner. The rooms are very clean . The entertainment at night time was excellent. Mayan experience massage was excellent at the spa. There is always something to do at the resorts.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Nice resort

The environment is beautiful, the room is spacious, the foods in the restaurants is good. The resort (Luxury Bahia) hard to swim on the beach, it is too much rocks & seaweeds, we had to walk to other side (Grand Bahia resort) to swim.
