Ok. Don’t go here. Security steals your stuff, staff is not helpful our request for help for mobility issue, for a member of our group, was dealt with exact opposite, they put us at top of hill, he had to do 76 steps down to eat 76 up after eating. 30 + trips down south for us this is second bad review ....

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Fantastic spot and hotel

We have absolutely no complaints. The hotel, grounds beach food and staff are unbelievable. The weather during our visit was a steady 87c with only an occasional spotty cloud . Great for tanning. Montego Bay is a friendly area with everyone willing to make your stay more enjoyable. We would return in a wink.

very large..food ok ..rooms need some tlc...staff friendly enough..lots of pools ..not enough shelters at beach..not enough english entertaintment ...glad we went would we return not likely...but been there done that time to go some where different

Grand Decameron Panama: Better than I remembered

I was here several years and loved it. This trip was even better! You can be as busy or quiet as you like. No hassles on the beach and lots of chairs on the beach as well as the pools. Buffets are good and al a cart fabulous. I had one of the best massages I've ever had and I get them regularly. The resort is clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. Met several people there for the first time and all will be back! Me sooner than later.

Grand Decameron Panama: A Great Vacation

We had a great time at the Royal Decameron in Rio Hato, Panama! We really enjoyed the resort. The only negative I’d have is that the resort was very spread out. It required a lot of walking - especially uphill.

Check in was quick and smooth done at the airport , our room had an actual key lock not swipe card . You can get a second key with a $15 deposit which you get back when you hand in the key . Safety deposit box costs $25 for a week . Free wifi in lobbies - very slow early morning or late night best signal strengths can purchase internet for your room for $16 for 24 hours which as long as you log in and out your 24 hour lasts . Ocean view rooms were nice , dated but they were ok , cold a/c worked well Pools were kept clean , and had life guards which was nice Good quality liquor at bars , food was less then appealing to us however if you like seafood then this resort is for you Water sports most of the equipment was in bad shape and the staff were less than enthusiastic for you to use any of it Staff not overly accommodating polite but not overly happy to help

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Amazing resort

The resort was great, the room was big and clean, beds were very comfy and made daily, received clean towels daily and the little fridge was always filled with water,pop and beer. We had a private beach which was clean daily but the only thing that bothered me was the rocks but once u past them it was clear . The food was amazing, enough said on that subject. The grounds were clean and the view from are balcony was beautiful . All in all it was worth it .

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: So-So

This hotel was much older than what I was expecting and could do with a few upgrades/improvements. I'd like to see a fridge in the rooms as well as some updates. There were 2 beds, one TV cabinet and a desk with two chairs. We lived out of our suitcases that were stored on the floor for 2 weeks, because there was no place to unpack and no place to put our suitcases off the floor. There needs to be a fan in the bathroom. Best part of the hotel. Those ladies and gents were fantastic. I would never say anything deliberately bad, but I likely would not return.

Grand Decameron Panama: Great Resort!

The pools, rooms, & grounds were clean. The food was good and the staff was friendly. There was security and lifeguards. No issues while we were there. The Disco can get a little loud. We had a great experience there.

grounds are well maintained and spacious. several pools and water slides. buffet dinners and a la carte restaurants were all good. Plenty to do including neighbouring golf and casino. Rooms were quite comfortable. We had a great time and it was great value.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Nice resort

The ocean view from our fourth floor balcony was amazing. The grounds were well maintained. The pool was long enough to do lengths. There’s no shortage of beach chairs. The buffet restaurant was good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I enjoyed a lot of the Jamaican food they introduced . Most of the staff members were very accommodating. The animation team was very friendly and lots of fun. Snorkeling off the beach was good when the ocean was calm. We enjoyed our stay. Grand Decameron Panama: Very nice nice resort

This was a first experience for us and we really liked it....it was awesome..took us a few days to adjust but felt like family afterwards....so many choices of restaurant and bars, the organized activities were all top notch....although the ocean is not the greatest but the amount of pools available sure makes up for it...we loved it

Grand Decameron Panama: a solid 3 star resort

The beach, pools and grounds , location - not to mention the weather were great. The hotel itself was dated and a bit wore out. This is all about expectations of a 4 1/2 star hotel. this hotel is a solid 3 star. The small 'extras' that we have come to associate with a great resort are not there.... no coffee maker, a mini fridge is there but empty, you have to pay for a safe in your room, there is a deposit required for a second key to your room etc. The shower in our room leaked so much that [... read more] we had a 'stream' of water through the bathroom that went out the front door. This is especially dangerous because of the tile floor- easy to slip and fall. The food was 'good' but for the most part,it was average - but there was lots of it at the buffet restaurants. The specialty restaurants were not really that special. We went to the ' steakhouse' but they had no steak - you could get beef kebobs. At the italian restaurant it was hit and miss for the pasta, but they had good pizza. The 'beach' restaurant served pizza at lunch but it wasn't the same - it was more like frozen pizza. This is really what the resort is all about- inconsistency. Some meals were really good -one of us had sea bass one night - fabulous - another one of us had the chicken, but it tasted like it had been frozen. The 'fruit' juice at the breakfast buffet was ' pasteurized' ( which to me meant it came from a tetra pak container) -it was not fresh. There were not enough 'beach umbrellas ' for the number of guests. This is a big beach (i heard it was 1.5 km!). There were horse rides on the beach. I don't know much about horses but it can't be very humane to have horses standing in the blazing sun all day with no water or sun shelter - we wouldn't stand for that here The staff were mostly friendly and responsive. The attitude puzzled me a bit. When we first arrived in our room the balcony door would not close properly. I called the front desk and they sent someone up right away- so far so good - but when he opened the balcony door a screw fell out of the latch and all the repairman did was screw it back in and left - the door never did close properly... and security is an issue. So all in all - if you are looking for great weather, great beach and lots of sun - this is the place for you.... but if you are looking for more than that- upgraded food, premium drinks, upgraded rooms etc - then you might want to look elsewhere.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Clean yet small

This resort was very small with limited activities and dining opportunities. One al-a-cart restaurant which had to be booked daily. The weather dictated whether this al-a cart restaurant would open as it was the "beach grill" converted into a restaurant in the evening. Unfortunately, the weather was not ideal during my time. Some staff were very friendly however, some of the staff at reception were "stand offish" and not welcoming of guests questions. This resort was situated very close to th [... read more]e main road in Montego Bay and I prefer to be further back from traffic. On the plus side, all rooms had an ocean view and you did not hear the traffic from the main road. The beach was not cleared of ocean debris on a daily basis discouraging time at the beach. The buffet did not have authentic Jamaican food yet they attempted to do so.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Pretty pleased...

Food was good and its nice that its fairly close to shopping and restaurants etc...Service is excellent and they are very quick to respond to requests. The only real complaint that we have is that the room cleaning was below par...

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Great resort

Hotel is new and showing no ware, The rooms all have a ocean view and a good one not partial. The food was always good with a lot of choices. The employees are pleasant and always busy doing something. The beds were comfortable with decent linens. Bathroom was nice with big shower and lots of hot water. Beach was beautiful but short. Hotel is only 5 minutes form airport.

Resort overall looks beautiful- grounds well kept, pools clean, great beach. But rooms are in need of updating and issues with housekeeping. We had mold in the bathroom, shower leaked and friends couldn't get towels or toilet paper. Other things we were surprised by was that you had to pay for the key to in room safe and while there was a mini fridge if was not stocked at all - you could pay $10 us per person daily for that. Also no coffee makers in room - disappointing features we've had at o [... read more]ther resorts. Food is hit and miss- had some very good meals and so not great. Meat tends to be horribly overcooked. Buffets have a good selection of fruit and fresh baked goods. Lots of people complained about the stairs and walking distances but we were aware of that. May recommend the resort but with reservation and disclosure of extras. Weather was fantastic!

Grand Decameron Panama: Fair Resort

The grounds were really good and they are constantly keeping up on maintenance. The air in my room was not working properly and never did get fixed although they tried. Most of the food at the buffets is cold and not that great but we did have some good meals at the restaurants. Beach is nice but snorkeling is not at this bay and watch for the undertow. Pools are nice. If you are wanting to stay away from kids then a room up by the adult pool is a good idea. If I were to go back that would be wh [... read more]ere I would stay. Good service but English is not good with the workers.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Very Relaxing Place to Stay

We stayed at the Royal Decameron Complex in Bucerias from Feb 3 to 14, 2018. We had been to the area once before but never stayed here. I must admit that the resort is much larger than I thought. I would rank this hotel as a solid 3.5 star. In my opinion, the positive things about this resort: The Staff: everyone is extremely pleasant, helpful, and works very hard. From the ladies who clean the rooms, to the bar tenders, to the front desk and guest relations, they are all very kind, [... read more] patient and go above and beyond. Most of the staff speak some English, and try very hard to make communication easy. The Layout and Grounds: The resort is spread out, yet easy to get around (once you get your bearings - much easier to do in the daylight). It appears that every room has a terrace or balcony, which looks onto lovely manicured grounds and each building has it's own pool, restaurant and bar. There are 2 towel stations, 2 main buffets and 6 a la carte restaurants. If you want quiet, the adult only pool in Block 5 is wonderful. The people respect the rules of quiet, no loud music or pool games allowed, just lounging, floating, reading, sipping a drink and visiting with neighbors. It was heaven. If you want the entertainment, games and kids pools, those are available as well. The areas that I think could use improvement: Rooms: They are in need of some updating, especially the air conditioning units, which tend to be quite loud. Although the rooms are very clean, there is no fridge/mini-bar, which was a disappointment for us. You get one warm bottle of water each day. This can be overcome by walking a couple of blocks to the Chedraui store and buy a cheap styrofoam cooler. The bar tenders are happy to provide you with ice for your cooler, just bring your own bag. There is also a shortage of hot water, especially in the later afternoons, and even at non-peak hours the pressure was low and the hot water was hit and miss. The beds are also very hard, again, only my opinion. The charge for an in-room safe is also an extra charge - for us it was over 400 pesos for 10 days. In my opinion, that should be an included charge, but I also acknowledge that this seems to be a Decameron policy across the board. Check-In Process: We have been at over 15 resorts in Mexico, Caribbean, Cuba and DR. I don't think I have ever been sent to find my own room, in the dark. I asked if someone could show us our room, and were told the bus boy would, and then we were told that he would just meet us there. Given that our block was across the street and about 2 blocks away, we were pretty frustrated, having to stop people on the street and in the bars to find our room. However, the check-out process was easy, quick and painless. The Food: We tried all but one of the a la carte's (did not try the Mexican) and there was not one that stood out as better than any of the others, but they were better than the buffet foods. I am commenting on the food at dinner only, as we found the breakfast and lunch buffets were quite good, especially in the Block 5 restaurant. We found the food at the dinner buffets to be lacking in flavour and choice. In fact, one night we went to the largest buffet because of a long line up at the smaller one. We found out why - there was so very little selection, and what was there was not good. We ended up eating bread and salad. The last night of our vacation we were at the buffet and I ended up with what I believe to be food poisoning, being up sick all night before having to fly home. The beach here is average, but colder than some of the more southern locations in Mexico. The waves were bigger than I like while we were there, so we kept to the pools, which is a first for us. We are beach people, but we found it to be less ideal for our liking. There are a lot of vendors on the beach, but they are not pushy, and very polite. The town and market at Bucerias are an easy walk down the beach or down the lateral, where you will find a ton of little shops and restaurants. I would recommend at least one stroll down the first street. If you are looking for tours off of the resort, I would recommend JD Tours, which is about 4 blocks from the resort, an easy stroll. If you are looking for a party resort with a lot of young single folks, this is not your place. It was great for us because we aren't into the loud party scene and late night entertainment. If you are not picky about food, but enjoy a quiet space with a lot of very friendly returning guests, you will enjoy this resort.

Grand Decameron Panama: Mediocre

Old hotel, below average room, food was not that good but beach was great. Would not recommend as there are much better places to visit in panama. Also we expected the food to be a lot better but it was comparable to a place like Cuba.
