Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Stunning accommodations!!
We stayed at the Bel Air fro Feb 19-26 2017. Our room was absolutely amazing!! The food was waaaay too good but I was happy I only put on 10 lbs!! Never hit the gym on site but walked for an hour a day on a truly georgous beach that was covered in gold! (Fools gold). Carlos the CS Mgr was a true professional and helped me to retrieve my camera charger while the bus patiently waited! I swear the maid came running with it and I realized that this place goes above and beyond!! Efrain who works at t[... read more]he welcome desk was such an interesting guy!! He lugs his personal telescope to the resort to let the guests view Jupiter and her moons with an abundance of knowledge on all the stars and their orbits. We never had to rush to get a lounger on the beach which is a first for us!! We never saw even a hint of cloud in the sky!! With no cloud cover it gets quite chilly at night!! There was a 20 degree temperature change from day to night. Although that's great for sleeping, we didn't pack right for the chilly nights. I think the best description for this resort is intimate! Everything is right there. The pool is practically on the beach.
A few cons:
Everything is closed by 10:30 pm. No night life.
Checkout at noon and you lose your all inclusive privilege for the rest of you stay. We arrived at 8 pm on Sunday night and were told we would be charged for anything we ate after checkout. My wife was not having this and eventually we were given a chit that comped us. Basically we had lunch and a couple waters after checkout. Should be all inclusive until you leave!!! Our plane was leaving at 7:20.
We stayed in 3324 which had an ocean view and sunrise view. Separate bedroom, full kitchen, 2 smart tv's and a balcony.
Oh ya!! Almost forgot!!
Whales!!!!!!
Overall amazing vacation and highly recommended!!

Riu Santa Fe: Beautiful Resort
The resort grounds, buildings, structures, pools and central public square were all beautiful. The staff were fantastic. The entertainment was ok. Our room was really nice, but lacked an alarm clock and a coffee maker.
Where the resort fell short was with the restaurant services. For a resort of this size (905 rooms) there were only 4 a la carte restaurants, which did not take reservations, so guests had to line up and wait or show up at a later time and hope that the wait list had been taken c[... read more]are of. The service in the a la carte in a few restaurants were slow and the food was served cold... very disappointed. The buffet was very good.

Royal Solaris: Great Time!
We had a fantastic time at this resort. The grounds were beautiful and very well taken care of. The food for breakfast and lunch were amazing, but it seems that at dinner time most of the food was recycled. Needless to say we always found something delicious to eat. Also the pizza shack was such a treat for a mid afternoon snack. The drinks at this resort were great, never watered down, always delicious and so many options! The staff were amazing, always went above and beyond to please you.
Ma[... read more]ke sure you hop on the local Urbano bus(which picks you up right outside of the resort and only costs $1 USD) to check out the city centre of San Jose del Cabo and if you get a chance eat at Jazmin's! We also took the local transit to Cabo San Lucas (which you catch up by Le Combre and costs $3 USD) and I highly recommend it. Lots of shops and restaurants. We also took a water taxi for a tour of the Arch. $20 each got us snorkelling gear and a tour.
The only down side to the resort is you can't swim in the ocean due to the strong current and waves, but we were aware of this before we booked so we were not disappointed.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Great small resort
Location was conveniently located close to towns and directly on the beach. Our room and public areas were spotless, the staff were friendly and food was fine. I would highly recommend to those that prefer small resorts, where everything is close and you want to get to know the staff and fellow travelers. The only drawback is the beach is not safe for swimming. Otherwise, I would give it a 10 out of 10.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: First All Inclusive
Pro's: Service from wait staff, housekeeping, daily activity coordinators was great. The buffet food was awesome. Beach and pools were lovely. Small, adult orientated.
Cons: The transat staff who cordinated tours couldn't be less helpful when both our tours were cancelled after we paid. No attempt to regain funds was established, they were unapologetic and seemed more than aware this was a likely possibility however never informed us. Dreams Los Cabos: Excellent stay
Grounds are great and very well kept, beach is beautiful but with undertow there's no swimming in it. We thought the room (had a bed suite) was great and all have ocean views. Could have been at least one more ala carte restaurant but we really enjoyed the ones they have - ate at both the French and the Mediteranean restaurants twice we liked them so much.
Best of all as you will note from TripAdvisor, is the staff - wonderful staff, helpful, and extremely friendly.
This resort is not chea[... read more]p, but it is good value from start to finish.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Great Place
Nice resort in a great location. Staff very friendly, very well kept grounds and a beautiful beach. Enough of a variety at the buffet to keep everyone happy and there's a restaurant by the pool/beach with a different menu every night (reservations required). Felt quite comfortable wandering around the town of San Jose da Cabo and walking on the beach. A ride on the local bus is well worth the $1 fare. Warm and cool water pools sharing a swim up bar. Really nice adults only pool and bar on [... read more]top of the spa with a great view of the Sea of Cortez.

Posada Real Los Cabos: Planning a return visit!
We really liked the size of this resort - small and personal. We met tons of really friendly people and the staff was amazing - so friendly, attentive and hard-working. The rooms were clean, not very soundproof, but then people weren't really loud for the most part so wasn't a problem for me. We enjoyed the food, great to have lunch brought to you on the beach! A good variety of alcohol and I found they did not skimp on the pouring. Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Fabulous resort
Enjoyed the stay for a second time. 3 years ago was amazing, my only complaint this trip was the entertainment staff, they were very friendly but not much going on. I think they can improve on different events to keep all entertained.

Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos: Did Not Disappoint!
Sandos Los Cabos did not disappoint! We were upgraded to a king room overlooking the harbour. The room was spacious, clean and more than what we expected! The only issue was the nightly entertainment. Our room was over the Cupcake deli and closeby the stage for nightly entertainment...volume was so loud with no indication of decrease that on the fourth night we talked to management. They were quick to respond and the following evening the music was somewhat quieter...Be aware if booking a marina[... read more] room that you will get traffic sounds (sirens) during Friday and Saturday nights and hungry sea lions in the evening hours (1pm and 4pm).Rooms in other areas would have avoided this however we enjoyed the lovely room and spectacular views. Perhaps the entertainment crew can temper the volume. It was unnecessary as the venue was small and intimate.
By far the pluses were the staff! I have traveled to many resorts and the people at Sandos were by far the best!! They were warm, welcoming and made you feel valued and comfortable. Any issues were dealt with promptly and politely. Kudos to management! Although we read on line that it was a time share resort, we were not bothered, nor were we treated like "second class citizens". There were a few things we could not access but it was no big deal...
Food was also very good....all in all this was a lovely property...even nicer than the room, the property, the amenities, was the staff!! They got it right!

Royal Solaris: Royal Solaris
The Royal Solaris is in a lovely setting and the grounds are well maintained. We had a corner oceanview room with a king size bed. We had asked for two double beds and twice they showed us different rooms, still with a king size bed, so something got lost in the translation and we stuck with the first room. If you want to hear the ocean, you'll need an oceanfront room. The air conditioning unit was faulty, it had an incessant drip that kept us awake most of the night, so once it was drained[... read more], we never put it on again. We were disappointed about several things. We were told by our agent that you should/could make your 3 dinner reservations at the time of checking in. That is not the case. You have to make them after 9:00 each morning of the day that specialty dinner was scheduled. We waited 1/2 hour to get through, only to be told that we could get the 8:00 or 9:00 sitting; when we mentioned the name of one of the managers, Danny, they said they could 'squeeze us in' for the 7:00 slot. What was odd was that the restuarant was only 3/4 full. We then found out that, if you paid a special visit to Nathalie, a service clerk, she could make a reservation for the following night. Other guests have since told us that, if you slip a little extra cash to the host/ess, you might just get lucky and get in on the spot. When we checked in, we were not given an information sheet that detailed the current week's events and featured food nights. Three days into our stay, we had to ask for a copy at the front desk. I raised this point with Nathalie and she seemed puzzled as to why we hadn't got it because it was supposed to be standard procedure upon check in We continued to tell new guests to ask for it. Because we did not have that dinner/events list, some Members Only signage, and misunderstandings with staff, we had no idea that there was a dedicated pavillion/cabana for sit-down lunches; we only went to the snack stations. We also did not like the 'members' only functions, they seemed to be 'in your face' and flaunted. WIFI was not available in our room unless you paid extra for i while other guests told us they were getting free WIFI in their rooms -- either from the hotel next door or because they just got lucky, who knows. We were given the wrong information about the cost of taking a taxi into Cabo San Lucas so thinking it was a little rich for our liking, we never went there. Another misunderstanding. Two couples who were 'timeshare/club' members told us about a marked decline in the quality of the food and service. They will not be returning; neither will we. Our rating: 2 out of 5.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Beautiful resort
This was fourth Secrets resort for us and it is not the best one. I am not very picky about anything but for the money we paid it would be nice to get better service and food. I am not saying it was bad just not the best. I think we have been spoiled with our first Secrets Silversand.
All I can say about this resort itself is beautiful, rooms are awesome, grounds are amazing but that is all. Front desk service was good but cleaning service was bad and we have to ask for maid to come and clean [... read more]our room because it would not be clean properly. Maid would just come and make our bed, put clean towels and that was it. The floor was not clean and you can see dust everywhere for a few days until I ask for it and they have respond to it.
The pool is great, infinity pool very nice and quite but beach is not swimable at all.
Also our Nexus representative was seen only when we arrived and we have not seen her again, she was not showing up at hotel whole week so we had to find out everything by ourself including excursion we have done and which we would recommend, glass bottom boat, awesome.
I would recommend this resort but would never pay the same money for it because it is not worth it. Saying that if you get seven days for $1700 go for it but more that that is not worth it.
I have to say that buffet restoraunt was the best for the service and Italian for the food and services. The entertainment was very good, they do not have a stage like every other resort instead it is done on the terrace of the buffet restaurant and it was really nice set up so you can have a supper and watch show. The magic fire was awesome and something I have not seen yet, they have done a great job all dudes to them.

Riu Santa Fe: Riu Santa Fe
We just came back from Riu Santa Fe.
here is straight forward what I think and you can count on it.
Service excellent everywhere in the Hotel. From the front desk, pool, bars, restaurant, cleaning staff, this feature sets them apart from many hotels.
Food is good not the greatest, could use some more spices, appears to be finding a neutral taste so appeals to everybody. I prefer the cooking to be as traditional to its cuisine and not an international version.
Cleanliness. Amaz[... read more]ingly clean everywhere you go. The place is spotless. I was delighted to find this.
Entertainment. Good but could be better if they use proper sound equipment. The entertainment area is very large and the speakers are not powerful enough to bring clean sound, and because of it , it takes away from the good showmanship and entertainment performances. Riu really you can afford a much better sound system. I am completely sure, the artists will be so happy and so will the people enjoying their performances.
A negative for some may be that people do get loud at night and through the night, so be prepared to be woken up and not be able to sleep fully because of the loud shouting having fun at night. I fixed this by ordering more pillows and simply covered by ears at night. The Hotel may be find useful to purchase noise strips that are place on the frame of the doors and keep away the outside noise. I used this for my basement at home where I blast my surround sound cinema hideaway, and no one upstairs can hear anything. What is best is that the strip is pretty cheap but does great work. This would be a good thing for Riu to do to take care of this problem.
All in All, we had a great time at this Hotel and we would definitively go back again. Other than these minors constructive criticisms, I highly recommend this Hotel.

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Average
First of all, there are two "Cabos". Cabo San Lucas, which is near downtown, marina, and all they have to offer. San Jose del Cabo is up the coastline, and $40. USD cab ride to go back to Cabo San Lucas (or two bus rides for about $4. USD). What you want to do on your vacation should determine which area you stay.
The Barcelo is fine if you want to sit around at the resort / beach all day. Except the music is for teenagers, and the entertainment is fair at best - both night and day. One guy pul[... read more]led out his ghetto blaster, and was playing better tunes than the DJ. The staff is great, and hard working.
We paid extra for a Superior Ocean view room. It was neither a superior room, nor a superior ocean view. Housekeeping was late, and forgetting to stock things like towels, snacks, and beverages.
