Iberostar Selection Varadero: Wonderful as always
This was our second time staying here and everything was great from the staff to the resort grounds, etc. The night shows are something special and really well done. The actual property is very beautiful.
Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Resort was pretty
The food was terrible. What you had for lunch you get for dinner. No onions, tomatoes, lettuce, or bananas. Lots of delicious bread ! You had to ask for salt. Better to take your own salt, peanut butter ect. I know there is a food shortage for them but this is the worst we ever had.
Sanctuary White Sands: Meh! It was ok….
⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ (3/5) We just returned from White Sanctuary Sands in Cayo Cruz. Overall, the trip was fair but underwhelming compared to our visit a year ago. The rooms were clean but a bit musty — thankfully my diffuser helped. We had ongoing issues with our room key needing to be reprogrammed daily (sometimes twice!), which was frustrating. The safe was broken on arrival but fixed promptly, though our repeated requests to replace burnt-out lights were never addressed. The butler service was at [... read more]
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Could have been better
The hotel grounds were beautiful. The hotel was in a bad shape considering it’s only 8 years old. Our first room was awful, then l asked them to give me what l paid for, which was a king size bed and ocean view. We got that finally, but why the stress? All they had to do is give it to us in the first place. A nice room for Cuba. Water had to be asked even though it’s suppose to be in your room every day. Towels were not changed and l needed to let them know. Food was not the best. Always r [... read more]
Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Such a wonderful resort!
The grounds, room and service was amazing! We really enjoyed our stay! The people were so helpful! The entertainment was good as well! But the best of all was the beach! Amazing! The lobby bar was excellent. Definitely will return! We had so much fun!
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Bug Off
Awesome time at Memories Caribe well established resort with mature palm trees on the grounds and beach front. Trip was mid October and we only really had one rainy overcast day. But the standing water after the rain and the water features around the resort made a perfect mosquito / no see um breeding ground which made bug spray our friend. The resort tried with airplane crop sprayers to eliminate them but they still found us. Parts of the resort needed some repairs and was poorly lit at night b [... read more]
Club Tropical: Love this place!!
The hotel is just the right size. The staff is so amazing. They go above and beyond to make your stay amazing. Everything is very clean. Our favorite place to stay! It is located right in the middle of Veradero. You can walk anywhere.
Brisas Guardalavaca: Great week of Sun and fun
Just returned after a beautiful week of Sun and limited rain. Our ocean view room was dated but clean, the bed was very comfortable and our maid was outstanding. The staff go above and beyond, I found them to be very friendly and helpful. The food was a bit challenging but the drinks at the lobby bar were very good. It was our first time staying at this hotel, I did find that there were a lot of stairs, if you're not mobile they could be an issue. Otherwise all in all had a nice visit.
Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: A simplistic magical place
This was our second visit to this resort. The second time there was a shortage of some alcohols and food. But not the fault of the people or the hotel. However the beauty and the wonderful staff were so unbelievably family like I can see this almost as a second home. We are surely going back Beach is great - we had the swim up room which really makes a difference. Make sure to tip the staff as they really depend on our generosity- The absolutely love Canadians This is an adults only place [... read more]
Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Beautiful resort
This was second trip in 6 months to this resort! We loved it so much and made some new friendships with some staff members. All the staff that work at this resort are absolutely by far the kindest people we’ve ever met. I can’t say enough about the staff at Ibero star Esmeralda Coral. The rooms are beautiful and very clean and fully stocked daily. The swim up rooms are absolutely amazing to be able to sit on your patio and step into the water is so convenient and so lovely. Our butler was [... read more]
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Very good resort
Very clean resort, excellent service, nice view of the ocean, snack bars - one is open 24 hours, beach bar, Italian restaurant beside beach where you can have lunch instead of going to a classic buffet. Buffet space is air-conditioned, clean, choice of grilled fish, beef and pork. very nice resort. Planing to go back. I am rating this resort 4 and 1/2 stars.
Blau Varadero: Good resort
Hotel grounds are beautiful, really nice resort. Lobby bar needs more help , they are not fast and don't care even if u tip them well. They do not want to take there own currency, always asking for US dollars, then if u don't have a nice crispy US bill they won't take it. Air conditioner needs to be cleaned filters etc, that might stop the mold and bad smell in the rooms . Over all yes good place
Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Great resort for the value
We stayed here for 7 days and had an absolutely amazing experience. The people were incredibly nice and accommodating.. from the gardeners to the towel lady, servers, chefs, and kitchen staff, everyone made us feel like family. The resort truly feels like a hidden gem.... peaceful, relaxing, and beautifully maintained. The beach is stunning, with clear water and plenty of space. The food was very good and there were always great options to choose from, which was a pleasant surprise after hear [... read more]
Melia Trinidad Peninsula: Love this resort
Fabulous Hotel and Layout. Swim ups are amazing here, staff is some of the best. Food here was good for Cuba compared to a lot of the resorts. No shortage of water etc. Yes the power does go out but the generator kicked it quickly every time so no need to worry. For Cuba the beach directly on the hotel is rocky. you can go to the left of the hotel and there is a man made beach. Also a 20 minute walk will take you to a gorgeous beach with hotels and restaurants where you can enjoy the wate [... read more]
Playa Pesquero: Amazing hotel!
Nadejda and Valeri. We just returned home. This was our sixth visit to this hotel. As always, I'd like to highlight the wonderful attitude of all the staff towards guests; you feel like you're home among family. The beach is beautiful, the ocean is stunning. It rained a lot this season, so there were a lot of mosquitoes. We've never seen so many in Cuba. Cuba is a tropical country where you can grow many crops, but unfortunately, the hotel had a lot of meat dishes, but no fruit, only watermelo [... read more]
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Very Good Resort
The grounds were kept very exceptional and everything was easy to find. The pools and the beach were amazing. As far as the food goes the alacartes were very good but the buffets not so good (very little variety, no salads and no decent fruit). That being said the most exceptional part of the resort was the staff whose service was outstandingly and friendly.
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Over all Amazing! No complaints!
The Hotel is super clean and well maintained regardless that it is starting to show its age. Certain areas would need a refresher but overall not an issue. The ocean view & beach; just paradise! The staff is attentive and the service is excellent. I recommend & would return anytime!!
Resonance Musique Varadero: Bad experience
Reception was useless, no any respond for any requests. Bedbugs, cockroaches, even changing room. Food is ok, but the same everyday and service very bad. La Carta restaurant are the same gross food at buffet, nothing to do with special cuisine s.
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Happy fun times at Memories Flamenco.
Well located resort, within 15 minutes of the airport. The staff were awesome. The facilities are a bit older, but they get the job done. Food was plentiful if not very varied. Beach was great, but I would recommend water shoes, as a lot of coral and shells build up one the edge.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Quiet resort
The speciality dinners were great. Resort was very quiet, might be time of year-October. Food was okay. Only disappointing thing was the drinks, not much variety, basically just rum. We never received any replacement bathroom towels all week even though we asked for them everyday. Even the rum drinks were not great. Staff very friendly.
