Grand Palladium Vallarta: Beyond amazing!

It was in my estimation one of the best hotel/resort I have ever stayed in. Clean, easy access to all the venues...friendly staff...wonderful food and great programs.I would certainly return in a year or so - God willing.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Great service, good food, OK snorkeling

Everyone was so friendly at the resort, we became good friends with many people. Snorkeling was good - the reef is quite small, but plenty of fish, urchins, eels, and other marine life. I highly recommend the A La Carte restaurants and late-night entertainment. Sunscreen prices were obscene, bring your own ($28 USD for a tiny bottle?).

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Great staff

The rooms were nice, there were a couple times fridges weren't stocked and trying to get refills was almost impossible. Pools were warm, food was great but the menu didn't really change. The steakhouse was really great! Our experience at the Mexican restaurant was less favourable and I would not go back. Lots of entertainment throughout the day with water games, towel folding, bull riding, sports, yoga etc. We had an amazing server who saved seats for us every single morning and remembered our o [... read more]rders - we came with a large group of 20 and remembered most of our names and most of our preferred drinks!

Grand Palladium Palace: Fantastic Trip

Before I start my review, I want to thank Diane Wick at Tripcentral. With her help, our trip was amazing with only one small hiccup (see below under rooms) but overall it was a great vacation. As for the resort, it was gorgeous. The grounds are beautiful and carefully tended to by the Staff. We enjoyed the sports area but wished very much for some overhead shade for the chess and ping pong tables. We really liked the signs naming the vegetation. Stay off the grass to avoid being hit by falling coconuts which you will see on the ground from time to time. The rooms are modern and always very clean. I love how the USB ports are built into the outlets (makes phone/tablet charging so easy!). I also really liked the free minibar (restocked daily with 4 flavours of pop/soda, 2 large bottles of water and sometimes a small bag of peanuts). The sole hiccup during the trip was with the room. Despite emailing prior to our trip to request a room with two beds my daughter and me, we ended-up with a room with only one bed. Since they apparently had no rooms available in our category with two beds, we had to pay to upgrade to a loft style room which, in the end, was even better since it gave us both a little space to relax and maybe have a siesta. As for the food, of the 17 restaurants on site, my daughter only ever wanted to eat at the buffet nearest the Palace. I didn't mind since the food overall was good (the Mexican items were made particularly well) and the Servers were nice. It's a large buffet with good variety which they change through the week. I really enjoyed sampling local dishes and the tropical fruit. We did order room service once which wasn't great. They only got half the order correct, the portions were small and you cannot order additional drinks or snacks. On the plus side, the service was prompt, the presentation was nice and the Server was very pleasant. The Resort is right on the beach, which is great. The beach has Security and Lifeguards during the day and we found our time at the beach to be enjoyable (and cooler) although we spent most of our swimming hours in the pool. For those who do not wish to venture into town to shop, they allow a few vendors to set-up small tables near the beach (and one near the casino). The vendors are friendly (and persistent). Haggling is expected which I think is fun but I can understand why some do not enjoy it. The Resort itself has shops which have some essentials and decent souvenirs but you will pay for the convenience. Transfers from/to the airport were included and easy to figure out. I went to the Front Desk on our last night to pay any outstanding amount which made checkout the next morning very easy. Upon checkout, you get a card which you must give the driver or he will not take you from the Resort. I took only U.S. dollars which worked out fine. I do recommend taking at least $40 in small bills for tipping although the Front Desk will break larger bills into smaller denominations for you.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Hot days in paridise

We had a great room in the lady Hamilton wing, Schuttle service was excellent. Really like the covered walk ways. Rained daily, dranage was also excellent. Liked the beach choices, nice and clean ....loved the adult retreat Totally happy with those who served drinks ...in the bars and at the beach. Visited many resterant for supper...all of my choices were great...my husband complained about his steak, although we are from Alberta and rave about our beef. The week we were there the appitser [... read more] menu did not seem to be available, they were offering a salad bar only. One of the breakfast buffet location had trouble with their air conditioning.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Grand Palladium Jamaica

This is our second visit at the Grand Palladium Jamaica and this time we came with the whole family. The beach was clean, white soft sand. It was raked every morning by 7:00am. The ocean was crystal clear. The sunsets spectacular. The grounds were well maintained and the hidden coves were so beautiful and tropical. Entertainment was great. They have a fantastic clean well designed sports bar - great fish tacos served there! The service was very good. Thank you to Patrina who fulfilled our dinner [... read more] reservations request. Her service was excellent. We had ocean view rooms which were spacious and clean . The bathroom fixtures could use some updating but everything worked fine. We hired a driver in the hotel lobby. His name is Darius. He took us to Ricks cafe in Negril, and took us to smokey joes authentic street style jerk chicken. Great guy!! Their coffee is amazing - Blue Mountain coffee. You may pay a bit more for Jamaica but well worth it.

Amazing resort for family and couples! Food is great - 5 different pools to choose from. Friendly staff and plenty of excursions available. Would highly recommend this resort to anyone - would definately come back!!

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Beautiful resort!

Well kept hotel rooms and grounds. Lots of things to do (pools,kids water slides, excursions etc.) great gift shops (a bit overpriced) friendly staff, great buffet selection, most amazing Italian a la carte restaurant!

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Nice Resort

Great location, lots of activities for kids, service was good. Rooms could have been better. Pools were good. Liked the kids pool and mini club. Also liked the mini zoo at the resort. Food was okay...

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Amazing Experience!

This resort blew us away! It is absolutely stunning! Food was outstanding, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pools and beaches are lovely and well maintained. The resort was overall very clean which is really important to me. Make sure to check out the spa while you're there and get a massage!

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Excellent Service

This resort is well kept and the pools are excellent. My kids had a great time playing in the kids area. The rooms were a little small so upgrade if possible. However, the service of the staff was excellent. Enough can't be said about the staff (waiters, bartenders, lifeguards) and their attention to details. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing trip

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Nice resort, not the vibe we thought Jamaica would be though

The resort itself was nice. It was very large with lots of walking and things were spread out depending on where you wanted to go. Lots of stairs so I wouldn't recommend it to older people, or the easily winded. Shuttles didn't come around often to pick you up. The beaches were very small and not very impressive. The food and drinks were all good. The vibe we thought Jamaica would be, was not. Staff were not overly friendly and some servers bringing drinks didn't even give a simple hello. Tippin [... read more]g was not appreciated whatsoever even when in large quantities so we soon learned not to tip very much. Overall, we would not return to Jamaica because of the overall experience, not the hotel itself. It offered plenty of activities, even though the disco music was terrible, so the night life we were looking for was not overly exciting. The a la carte restaurants were all excellent.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Grand Palladium Bavaro

Hotel and rooms are tired, but were under renovations. Staff was very good and friendly. Beach was excellent, but too many vendors selling on it. It will be very nice after reno. Others in our party had some room issues.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Amazing experience!

This was our first time away south and I don't think I even want to waste my money traveling anywhere else! Everything was perfect! I want to bring my kids there! We will definitely be back! Absolutely beautiful resort, beautiful people, amazing food!

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Awesome resort

Wonderful place to stay at. The food is great the service is good. Grounds are well maintain. I would go back any time. The only down fall is all the iguanas everywhere but it is a resort in the jungle.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: 2nd time and even better!

This was our second time at the Grand Palladium, and we were very happy. The staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful, the food was really good and the grounds are beautiful. The rooms and the resort were really clean. The only issue was that the shallow end of the infinity pool was having work done so they had to drain part of the main pool so it didn't run into the area to be worked on. The pool itself is massive so space wasn't the issue, but with the water level lowered, it didn't rea [... read more]ch the skimmers so any debris just seems to collect in certain areas of the pool and by the end of the week, we ended up going to one of the smaller pools because it was cleaner. The staff were working tirelessly to keep the pool clean but with it being so big, it was difficult. As this was a fluke occurrence, we will definitely return to this resort again.

Grand Palladium Palace: Awesome Resort

We had an amazing time at the resort. Our first trip to the Dominican Republic. I would definitely recommend this resort to others. The staff was great. The rooms were nice and very clean. The food was so good too

Grand Palladium Palace: Our first Punta Cana trip

Hotel grounds were beautiful! The rooms were stunning....we got a loft close by the beach...not ocean view but we could see the ocean slightly. We had another room for my sons and the bathtub leaked incredibly with a terrible odour...so we asked to be moved which they did easily....the rooms were kept clean....the food was ok.....good but not great.....the drinks were really strong and fairly good...the options were good...the staff were friendly but did not speak much english so ordering a me [... read more]al was a challenge. Always could find seats on the beach and pool...down fall is the breakfast closed at 10 am which is too early...11 am seems more appropriate. ..finally we all got severly sick! Stomach nausea and diarrhea ...my friend for two days and in bed and my son in bed and my other son severly sick on the plane ride home.....severe dehydration and they nearly held us back for his safety.....we did not drink the water but stopped having ice in our drinks thinking the tap water was used and perhaps the water is not filtered as claimed. With speaking with a number of guests ...they too had suffered from this as well. But....the beach is gorgeous the gym was awesome! I will not return to this resort . But we still had fun... ..

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Clean, Relaxing, Lots of activities

The grounds and the rooms were very clean, floors were mopped daily. The pool area was also very clean. The restaurants rarely opened on time though, the staff took their time with their tasks but keep in mind everyone is on Caribbean Time! Check in was a long wait and there were only two people in front of me! Calling the front desk from the room phone, it rang exactly 23 times and was never answered so I hung up!! Again, Caribbean Time....the food was just okay, nothing to write home about but [... read more] there was plenty of it - the hotdogs were awful but most everything else is fine. Mostly the staff were polite and well organized.

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: The Grand is very Grand!

Staff service and friendliness, food presentation and quality, room/lobby decor, amenities, gardens/lighting, all-around cleanliness all excellent! However the Grand Palladium was just to big for our family of 4. We spent too much time walking everywhere. By the end of the week, we still could not figure out the train/cart system. The Thai, the Brazilian and the Spanish a la cartes were superb! The live bands during lunch and before the evening shows were great, as was the magician. There were many amenities we didn't get to enjoy as we preferred the ocean waters. We got to jump waves and get some snorkelling in. And yes the seaweed was annoying to say the least. There are no oceanfront rooms unless you are a Palladium family member. If being connected to your laptop/phone and want lots to do and like to walk a lot, in addition to many other wonderful features, you'll love it. For us, we like smaller, quieter, more intimate. For us from now on, less will be more....
