Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Fantastic!

The Royalton was an incredible place for some relaxing R&R. My wife and I went for our anniversary and we absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay. The Royalton is a smaller and quieter resort, which was exactly what we were looking for. The service was exceptional, and the beach/pool is to die for.

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Great resort!

Overall great experience. Travelled with kids for the first time and couldn’t have picked a better place. The outdoor dining options were amazing and particularly appealing from a covid perspective. The distance from beach/pool to room to dining was all within a short walk, we actually never used our stroller/wagon as we had originally planned with having toddlers with us. Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Go to place!

Our second time visiting this resort. Still enjoyed it immensely. The staff are amazing. They are very attentive, and engage guests on a personal level. The gardens are well manicured by very hard working men who give a smile and wave to all. The food is great. Well presented with options for everyone. The rooms are spacious and cleaned meticulously daily by very cheerful people. Sliding doors could use some maintenance as difficult to open and close and main door needed new weather stripping.  [... read more]The pools and areas were clean. The beach was well maintained as well. Loved the service at the beach. The staff that help arrange chairs and the bartenders who served us right at our seats. What more could you ask for? Ask your butler. Javier and Alexis were so helpful and friendly. The people really make the difference here.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Good escape from Toronto

We overall had a really good time, but want to highlight some areas below that prevented this from being 5/5. The beach was unfortunately seaweedy and not clear as advertised. We thought we booked the swim out pool but got a garden view of smelly swamps instead. There were many kids running around the resort, especially in restaurants despite us thinking we booked an adult only experience at the Hideaway as advertised. For us the beach, food & service will make or break the experience. We had hoped to get all three considering we spent 2.3k per person.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Royalton punta cana

Was very disappointed with young kids that they put us in a room outside the outdoor disco with music blaring late into the night. Also a lot of stairs. People at the resort weren’t as friendly as I was used to before Covid. Maybe they are tired of people being rude too

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: None Diamond Club

Our vacation was fun but if I had to do it again I would not go to the same resort. Food variety is poor. They did not even have hot chocolate because they had no chocolate powder 5 days out of 7. No Ice cream most of the days at the buffet. No tropical drinks or anything to do with fruits. No hot tub and if you want anything that can be close to hot water ,not hot, you have to pay $150 for a warm little pool. Even though You paid for the hotel you are not allow to enjoy the entire hotel becau [... read more]se you cannot access the whole resort as a “diamond club” option make you and your family feel like a second class citizen. Most staff was still very friend and the service was good. Watch out of the rooms with a very intense smell. Make sure to switch right away although they might give you the run around. That awful smell won’t go away. Trip Central was amazing to deal with and will be booking my trips with them in the future. Cancun was fun and if you have the time do the catamaran tour.. WOW!

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Wonderful resort and holiday

By Cuba standards I would definitely say this is a 5 star. Please remember where you have come to visit. Food was very good, especially the soups and quesadilla's. Resort is extremely clean and grounds are exceptionally well kept. Staff are very attentive and friendly. The assistant manager and manager were always visible and checking in to ensure your needs were taken care of. There are some staff that went out of their way to make you feel like you truly matter. A shout out to Omar and Michele [... read more] our butlers. Dialya (not sure if I have her name correct) from the lobby bar was the sweetest, as was Natalie our server at the Sunset. The negatives would be lack of hot water and clean beach towels available to trade in. We enjoyed our stay here immensely and look forward to returning.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Family Paradise!

What a great place for families. The lazy river and pools were amazing. Nightly entertainment was top notch. Great food and drink variety and quality. The staff were friendly - especially Angela at the buffet reception - and the grounds were well maintained. If you have a family, especially with little kids, this is a perfect getaway.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Will not go back

Would not recommend this resort if you want to relax. The constant LOUD music was horrible. It was so loud we had to shout at each other to hear ourselves. The food was great, as was the service but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. A very big resort with line ups for the ala carts so the only availability was for 9:30 pm and afterwards.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Lovely resort

This was our second time at the Royalton, Cayo Santa Mari (Adults only) resort. We enjoyed it so much the first time we decided to gift our adult children the vacation for Christmas. We were 8 and were well served by all. Received a nice beverage when we rolled in Michel our butler took care of it all. It was great from day 1 to day 7, convenient late check-out and everything in between. Our room was wonderful, clean, and fresh towels everyday (p.s. they do not have face cloths) This is a charming (small) resort, with well kept grounds due to the hardworking gardeners but my favorite was Luis he would bring me flowers and say hello every day. This site is lovely, has two pools, one for relaxing and the other were you will meet the entertainment team, Lis is the best and has a contagious smile, loves music . But it all gets more breathtaking when you see the white sanded beach and crystal-clear water. Every day José was at the beach, he set us up with a beach chairs, swept off the sand, placed my towel and table under a palapas. Another, service I didn’t expect. He ran back and forth, providing as many guests as possible with the same A+ treatment and yet again, another employee with a contagious smile. The food is very good. The beach bar and grill made great quesadillas, Enrique/Norge served up fantastic drinks, the sunset grill was our breakfast spot (open 24 hrs), with the sweetest waitresses Beatrice and Marysol. The cuban grill spagetti bolognaise and the fish and chips were my fav. There are two other a la carte restaurants that we visited for our supper which had equally great food, with tasty soups and mains. Overall, we had a great group experience , its an excellent small, clean and perfect to celebrate a quiet, relaxing family vacation. The staff at the Royalton are all great and the General Manager Alejandro is very present, welcoming and ensuring that he spoke to guests daily.

Lots of areas around resort for adults and children to be entertained. Clean bathrooms and lots of good food! Water park and arcade was just opening up when we arrived, excited to come back to see the resort fully complete.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Awesome resort and amazing staff

We stayed at a swim up room which was a fair size room and clean, I would suggest to stay facing main area for sun. Serive and staff where very friendly and helpful , can't say enough for our buttler Kelvin he was amazing.. already planing a trip back here very soon.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Disappointed

We are a family of 5, all adults (youngest 29 and oldest 72). I have to say we were a little disappointed, I would not say this is a 5 star resort and we travel a lot (15+ all inclusive resorts in the last 10 years). To start the resort was clean, and the grounds kept clean as well. The size of the resort was perfect, not too big and not too small, direct beach views from the pool, it’s all really close together which is nice to not have to walk for 20+ min to get somewhere. The beach is brown [... read more] sand, not white sand like promised and the waves very strong, most days not able to swim in the ocean (not the resorts fault - just mentioning it). Food was ok…. Not 5 stars, it was edible but not a lot of options and sometimes the labels didn’t match what they served. 3/5 members from my group had upset stomachs by day 5 and multiple guests we spoke to were experiencing the same thing. The Italian restaurant was AMAZING, very authentic and great flavors. Otherwise we had to eat at the buffet for all dinners because despite the resort claiming to be a reservation free hotel they prioritize reservations for diamond club members and then leave no room for the rest of the guests to eat until 8pm or later so we ended up at the buffet. We tried to make reso’s and we tried to just walk in at different times yet time and time again we couldn’t get in to the restaurants cause they were full (despite multiple empty tables). The entertainment was extremely poor, every night it was just 4 females dressed provocatively swaying their hips to music - this included their very poor NYE entertainment as well. Music was repetitive all day, into the evening, same in the club then repeated the next day as well. Despite being “all inclusive” the resort wouldn’t let you sit in certain cabana chairs unless you rented them, the chairs and beds sat empty majority of the week but they wouldn’t let you use them unless you paid minimum $120 usd. There was also a rooftop pool advertised to everyone but when you get there only certain guests can use it or you have to pay to use it (Mermaid Pool). They also tried to sell you NYE tickets to watch the show (the poor one I mentioned above), if you didn’t buy the tickets starting at $600usd for a booth (treated like booth and bottle service at a club) then you needed to sit over 50feet away from stage. Thank goodness we didn’t pay because we didn’t need to sit any closer to see how bad the entertainment was. Lastly the rooms, they were fine but very run down; shower door handle and air conditioning broken in one, door frame and table broken in another, and closet doors fell off the tracks in the third. The doors actually fell onto my Aunt and it took 30+ min for someone to come help. Many other guests were complaining about the rooms as well. Sometimes maids forgot to restock the fridge, leave towels and or other basics. However, it was clean and beds were typical. ALSO THERE ARE NO ELEVATORS FYI. Onto the positives: Meibi and Rosa who serve the pool areas made our trip! They were kind and greeted with a smile daily and were a pleasure to socialize with. Leo, Henry and Derrick who served us in the buffet were also very nice and provided some laughs. Miguel who I was a customer service representative (main lobby) was also so kind and lovely and chatted with us daily. The resort would be better if they upgraded the rooms, and maintained them more, switched to reservations at the restaurants or actually make it reservation free for everyone, and stop trying to sell you things like chairs and certain pools when we paid for all inclusive (would like to mention all these things they try to sell are different from the diamond club section) which is to expected. If we needed to pay extra we should have been told and it should be advertised as such on their website and through their bookings with the air carriers.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Lots of Pools

Overall a nice resort, but I wouldn't go back. It has lots of pools scattered throughout, and very big with a nice boardwalk with gorgeous hammocks. Rooms are spacious too. They don't have a good restaurant system, entertainment is lacking for the size of the resort, and good luck finding anything to eat after 10 pm, unless you order the very limited options from room service. Most mornings it was hit and miss getting coffee poured at the buffet, but buffet food was good.

Royalton Saint Lucia Resort and Spa: Beautiful Island

Island and hotel were beautiful. Freshwater pools were amazing however the beach appeared to be manmade and was rocky 20 feet from the shoreline. Trip from airport to hotel was 2 hours and makes for a long day .

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Another Excellent Experience

The hotel was in great shape and kept their promise of a quality, luxurious, and relaxing vacation experience. The restaurants had delicious and high quality food with great service, and reasonable wait lists. The bars had premium liquor choices and great service. Communications between us and the staff were effective and friendly. We had no complaints! The bartender Henri in the Hideaway Pool Bar was excellent and made this trip memorable for us :)

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Very Happy with Resort

The Royalton Bavaro met all expectations and more. The hotel is quite new, very clean, and the staff are all very friendly. Food was really good, although wait times in the restaurants can be long if the resort is busy. Shows were great, tons of stuff to do - beach is amazing. Great for all ages.

We stayed at the Royalton and found it to be exceptional in all ways . People who know Cuba can take a good message from this description of an all around great place . It excels in every way right down to the mojitos and yes mint !!!
