Ocean Coral by H10: Decent resort

I had big hopes for this resort after reading so many great reviews. It was a good resort, but not amazing. The good: the rooms were nice. Our room even had a dehumidifier which was nice since the floors get slippery with the humidity. The staff are all very friendly and most speak good English making it easy to order Very close to the airport which is great after a long day of traveling. The bad: The food is mediocre at best. Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Gorgeous resort and amazing holiday!

What an amazing hotel to take our family our vacation to! From the beautiful rooms and pools, to the delicious food and drinks! All the restaurants including the buffet were able to accommodate my gluten free diet! Thank you so much to the wonderful staff! We were made to feel like royalty at the Royalton!!

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: First time in the sun!

Staff were AMAZING. The grounds were NICE. The rooms were OK. Only OK because the dresser is very old and we had to ask for it to be fixed cause one of the drawers wouldn't open. Geared to families with children. There were fun activities but a heads up there is NO adult swim bar. Most excursions are close BUT cab fare is not reasonable. Occidental Cozumel: Good value

We did a one week stay with 8 adults. Resort is good value for the cost. Rooms are spacious, well appointed. Food is average. Booking the a la carte restaurants was far more complicated and frustrating than it should have been. It should not take almost one hour of wheeling and dealing to book a sitting for what we were minimally entitled to and paid for. Pool was adequate. No swim up bar for the adults. If you are looking for peace and quiet, beware. Rooms are not soundproof and main villa vestibule area echo all sound. If one is looking for some sun and on a budget consider this facility.

Riu Flamingos: Excellent Value

Krystal Grand Cancun: 100% Perfect

As a frequent traveler I have never wanted to return to a resort until I arrived at Reflect in Cancun. This place is amazing. Food, beach, pool, night shows, sunrises. I had everything I wanted and will definitely be returning for my next vacation. Not one single thing let me down.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Average Resort - Super Friendly Staff, Clean Resort

This resort is newer and in great shape. The staff were super attentive and very friendly, food was good for the most part. We received a "raw" hamburger - super rare/red - so be sure to request how you want your meat cooked. The resort was not very full when we were there (went with my husband) making it very easy to get a good location at any pool or beach and no line up to enter any restaurants (a bonus)! They h [... read more]ad a few odd restrictions, we found strange they wouldn't let you turn the chairs in the pool areas to face the sun, even if you were not blocking anyone, baffled me (told at the Xhale pool). We were told it was upper management rules. They also have a fairly large section blocked off (1/3rd of the pool) in the Xcelerated pool at the end of the resort that is reserved for anyone who will pay for champagne (minimum bottle was over $100 US increasing to $4,000), nuts!! I only saw a few people in that section throughout the week. It was explained that it was to bring in more profits for the resort. The entertainment/DJ is in that area, if want to be in that section buy a bottle of champagne or you have to remain in the pool, very odd. Seemed to be more than half ages 18-35 but there were some more our age which is 45-55 when we were there! If you have been to a Dreams or another Breathless you can expect the same type of resort and service. We've been to a few and find them very similar though not the crazy rules/restrictions. We travel 3-4 times over each winter. Overall it is a nice resort, read all reviews before deciding, this was just mine opinion.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Wonderful holiday - Great hotel!

When we arrived we were treated to a drink & given a key to our room to see if we liked it. We loved it! Ocean view, large room 2 beds for 2 ladies & a couch. Spotless clean washroom too. All we would need for our week. The staff, polite & easy to make our stay a fantastic one! The pools were clean. Food was delish! We were down at the ocean many times swimming & it was cleaned daily in front. The only problem was that early in the morning, towels were being put on chairs & left all day wit nobo [... read more]dy there! Irritating! The area was very safe for 2 ladies to walk & go shopping in the village. We loved it. 5 stars from me & I will be back!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: poor service

When we got there most of the people at the front desk did not speak enough english to be able to understand us. When we had problems there was no "leader" who could be found to truly help us. Many of the times there were places without staff for the problem (ie for the shuttle to the airport)

Catalonia Yucatan: Fantastic Resort

The hotel was a smaller style resort, the design of which we loved because it felt truly authentic. The service was AMAZING and truly made our trip. The food was also exceptional. If you're looking for a truly relaxing vacation look no further.

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Some challenges

Beautiful hotel. Aged, but charming. The water treatment was really quite smelly but that is life, can't be helped. Our rooms were late to move into, that was disappointing but then again, it happens. Very disappointed to not get the rooms that we requested which were the partition walls in each room. We travelled as a family of twelve, so were thrilled that the kids with children got large rooms with the tubs on the balcony. This however didn't make up for the fact that the grandparents couldn' [... read more]t babysit the kids in their room because there were no partitions. The children got kids tv channels, we requested to have our tv fixed but it didn't happen. First room we had the air conditioner was extremely loud, I couldn't sleep. We were able to move the next day but still not the room we requested. They said at the desk that we requested a room with two double beds, no way is that true. Our travel agent said that we would get the same rooms, with the partitioned doors, so why the miscommunication? upsetting, but this did not ruin our vacation. Food was good. We had a lovely family time together.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Recommend

It was very good service, clean, staff were nice and on top of things.but one thing never agree on zero level hotel rooms cause all restaurants are on first floor, every time a chair is moved you hear it till morning. Our first night was a nightmare, but then we asked for different room , the ride from airport to hotel was 1 hour the agent told me 20 minutes only!!!. And make sure check the weather....also no privacy when taking shower.

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Excellent resort

Overall a great resort with friendly staff and excellent service. Enjoyed the proximity to the beach. The food was fantastic and always fresh. I would return and would recommend to my friends. Only criticism I have is from other guests slamming room doors at all hours of the night, but hey we’re on vacation so it’s not a huge issue.

Occidental Cozumel: Great resort

The resort was very clean. Rooms very nice. Food quite good. Only negative was that check in took quite a long time. Also the reservations for the a la carte restaurants was very frustrating. We were told the only time left was thursday at 9pm. Upon further review we eventually got a reservation in all 3 restaurants and every time there were a lot of empty tables. Overall this is a very nice resort.

Krystal Grand Cancun: Great Resort

Very clean smaller resort, with great pools. absolutely wonderful beach, all just outside the door. Rooms were perfect. Staff amazing, very attentive. 24hr room service. Smaller type of entertainment each evening as well. Very well coordinated check in and out. The only negative was the food in the buffet . Breakfast was great, but for other meals- choices were very limited. The menu didn't change much each day either. I absolutely loved all of the 4 restaurants. The food was wonderful. Love [... read more]ly 5 course meals, and the best part was that you didn't have to dine at the buffet, you could go to the restaurants every day and most of them did not require reservations. On another note, while we were there the two elevators were not operating well, we got stuck inside one day. But, it appeared that installation of two more newer elevators was commencing in another location. All in all, a great place to relax and enjoy the sun.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Great value for money

My boyfriend and I just came back from our week away and it was great value for our money. We were on the south side garden view room which is in the renovated section and I had no complaints but wasn't anything extravagant.It was on the first floor but we still had a clear view of the ocean. Some people we talked to did not know/ read the card and were upset that they were not getting their sheets and towels changed. We ate at the a la carte every night and it was great and had no complaints and would highly recommend. You do have to get up around 7:30 for a reservation but we wanted to make sure we got up early anyways (you can nap on the beach later!). The breakfast in the restaurant was amazing as well and lunch at the buffet was good but you can also ask for the menu and they were more than happy to do that too. Drink of the days were great. Pools were cold. Snorkeling was amazing and water was crystal clear. Staff was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcomed. There is not too much night life so if you're coming to party this is not the place. The down town by the cruise port is beautiful and just 200 pesos (round trip). I did not feel unsafe at all throughout my time downtown. We had a great time, played mini putting, tennis, ping pong and life size chess (lots of things to entertain yourself). We really enjoyed our time here. This is not a boujie hotel but it is great for what you pay for! It was an awesome vacation.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Great resort

Hotel overall was good. Food was good and service was great. I found the weather during January to be quite windy, which was the real only negative thing. Pools were clean and well kept. The ocean was extremely wavy, but that was due to the weather.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Beautiful Resort to Celebrate Our Honeymoon

My husband and I traveled to El Dorado Seaside Suites to celebrate our honeymoon in early January 2020. For the most part, I would say it was fantastic and we cannot wait to return. - The facilities and resort grounds are kept up impeccably. Other than that there is tons of variety and the staff is extremely attentive to dietary restrictions - The pools are wonderful and they provide lots of options for relaxing around the water. We never had an issues finding a place to put our towels and enjoy some reading - The beach is a bit disappointing... They block off the water (probably for safety purposes, so that is appreciated) but you can really only go "swimming" at a wading level. Plus it's not the best beach to walk up and down (lots of rocks and the sand isn't soft). This isn't a break or break for us but it could be for some people - Concierge adds a nice touch to your stay but I would say some are more attentive than others to their guests - AMAZING entertainment. No matter what there's always something going on and it is really great quality Thank you so much to all of the people that work so hard at the resort for their guests! You truly gave us a wonderful time and we are very grateful.

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Good resort too quiet and boring

This resort is small, quiet,they do not play music on the beach except for an hour a day when they do water arobics....there is a bar in the main lobby tucked away in the corner with no patio to sit on no music playing except at night when they have either a violinist or a guitar player...ect ect The beach front at this resort is beautiful ...not many trees for shade no palapas on the beach...the beach is very close to a bar and the pool..... The buffet was okay nothing great not a huge selection lunch was better than dinner.... you have a choice to go to all restaurants for dinner, no reservations... Except the beloved restaurant which is for upgrade only,did not upgrade so cannot comment, the rooms were really nice nothing fancy but updated and clean the walkway is in middle of a rainforest setting on either side only 6 bldgs 3 on each side There is a little animal called a coati (racoon family) very friendly will be roaming around when people walk by especially when fed, (you are not suppose to feed) they can bite The resort is just about in the middle of the 2 cities Tulum and Playa Del Carmen you can take the collectivo too both places.... Distance from airport to resort is approximately 50-60 min The steak house was very good The photographers were really annoying constantly trying to take pictures of you One night during the week the resort has a few vendors in selling on the pathway They also have a store at the pool and in the lobby .

Riu Flamingos: Great Beach!

We went there as a family of 5 the first week of January. It was a busy time at the resort but everything run smoothly and was perfect. A bit noisy at time where our suite was located but our suite itself for family was just what we were looking for so we do not complaint. The beach was perfect and the sea was warmer than the pool. Buffet was good but speciality restaurant were not worth it though. I would still recommend the Riu Jalisco, for the quality-price, it is certainly the best.
