Azul Ixtapa Resort: Another great visit

Our third trip here. Nothing to disappoint. Excellent room, food, drinks staff. The Mediterranean restaurant is so beautiful with fancy food to rival anything in Canada. Only glitch wAs a Canadian with a very overtired crying baby who decided to get the most of her experience including Spanish coffee. This a la carte should be adults only. We will return

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great Resort

A little on the older side, but clean and comfortable. Lots of pools, bars and restaurants - no waiting for anything. Close walk to Bucerias for great restaurants, entertainment, beach bars and more

Grand Oasis Cancun: Gorgeous resort

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and huge, all areas are clean and with lots of attractions like exotic birds, lizards and fish. It’s huge and surrounded by a 1 km pool with many bridges to cross to the other side. Even though our room was nice and clean I regret not having a dresser and a combination safe. The weather didn’t allow us to enjoy the beach though. The staff was very courteous and customer service was good. Our favourite dining was at Tul Kun buffette

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: One of the prettiest hotels I’ve been too!

The grounds and nature reserve are beautiful and make this hotel worth staying at. The staff were very friendly and took care of all our requests very quickly. I don’t usually go to all inclusive hotels because I don’t like crowded beach and pool areas with not enough lounges and shade. I would highly recommend upgrading to the Prestige Package, it’s worth the extra money. We had a very exclusive experience, no shortage of chairs, shade and great service! Camino Real Zaashila: Second Visit, great vacation

Just returned from a one week stay at Camino. Great weather, great service, relaxing and enjoyable. We expected nothing less having stayed at Camino previously two years ago and we were not disappointed the second time around. One thing did change however, there is no dinner buffet available now. You have two choices for dinner, the a la carte restaurant (one of two that alternate every night) or order room service (at no extra cost). Personally, I found the menu choices nutritious but the sauces are a bit bland. That would be my recommendation to the resort, find a sauce chef to upgrade the dishes. The grounds on the resort are spectacular, do yourself a favour and take the time to walk around the resort...up on the hill, and the east side and enjoy the beautiful flowering shrubs, birds, iguanas. etc. We saw Chacalacas, parakeets, orioles etc. Don't just hang around the pool and beach, cause you will miss out on the true beauty of the resort. Of course I can't forget to mention the beautiful beach and pool. The quality beach towels are plentiful as are the availability of palapalas. For lunch you can order at the beach at your palapala or take a seat in the beach side restaurant. The shrimp tacos are our favourite dish...very tasty, You cant beat the location , the seaweed free beaches , the reliable weather (sunny and between 30- 32 C) the scenery ...etc. when you book a Huatulco vacation. and Camino Real is a choice that wont disappoint. Grand Palladium Kantenah: Great Resort! Second Time Back

This is our 2nd time back to Grand Palladium! The layout of the hotel is beautiful. We loved dining in the restaurants, all delicious. The hotel does a good job of having entertainment and activities for guests of all ages. Very friendly and attentive staff. Would go back again!

Grand Palladium Select White Sand: 7th trip back!

Love this resort! Clean, beautiful and excellent food, restaurants, entertainment! Pools and beach are spectacular! Family friendly and great customer service. They know how to treat people. I love their Spa as well. I have brought many family and friends to this resort and now they are all repeats as well!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Clean good food curtious staff

Arrived Jan 8 via Air Transat was due to land at 4 landed at 5. Got to the Hotel at 630 checked in by 830 We were starving. First mesl at the Steak place was amazing. Room was renovated. Bed was super comfy. Staff was great, especially Bell Boy and Golf Cart drivers, but ask 2 or 3 staff about the same thing and You will get 3 different answers. Barcelo Maya Palace: Amazing vacation!

Overall this resort is a perfect all-inclusive get-away and what you’d expect from a Barcelo property. The location was beautiful, the facilities were well cared for and the food was really good. I love the attention to detail and throughout the resort, there were many beautiful spaces created to help make your moments richer. For the most part, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The unfortunate exception was the person who checked us in. Not friendly or helpful. Didn’t exp [... read more]lain anything nor did she offer a beverage like all of the other families received. I believe she was new - perhaps a manager or trainer should have stayed close by. It was a negative introduction to the property that fortunately was short-lived. And really from that point forward it only got better. Our room was as it looked in the brochures and housekeeping did a great job maintaining it. With 6 resorts all-together, there was always something new to discover. And the restaurant variety was like most 5star resorts. Good food -great variety. The pools and the beach were immaculately taken care of and I felt very safe. Loved the mix of reef and beach for exploring. It was a wonderful week away for my girls and I. I would highly recommend this resort.

The Sens Riviera: great vacation

The hotel itself is definately not new. it is however clean. staff are great . service excellent and minimal wait times at the resaurants despite soe of the other reviews. the beach is amazing and many beautiful pools. food is average. We travelled with kids who loved the kids club and dinoland. would go again

Dreams Huatulco: Just Okay

POSITIVES: A great location, as it’s right down on the beach, unlike many other hotels in the area which are higher up on hills. Excellent staff, particularly the housecleaning staff, Irlanda in the Mezcalaria bar, and Daniela who is part of the concierge team. The hotel is clean, airy & well kept. Pools, grounds, and restaurants are extremely well maintained. We liked the room, bed, bathroom & spaciousness. NEGATIVES: The food. Not good. It’s not what we have experienced in other resorts of this rating. Bland, dull and not much variety each day in the buffets. Entertainment: No cultural Mexican entertainment whatsoever! We've come for a Mexican experience. A rock band by the pool played LOUD music which caused us to leave the hotel. Nightly shows are a bit dated. Not much variety. This is a party hotel. It’s very noisy at night. There isn’t anywhere to go in the evenings inside the hotel that is quiet. On weekends there are weddings, karaoke in the lobby/bar, and loud bands playing in the lobby bar. No feeling of tranquility here. Note to the Management: There are clients who vacation who want peace & tranquility. Please consider us too!

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Great Resort!

This massive new resort had only been open 3 weeks. Everything at the resort was bright and clean. The staff were great - everyone was friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to an ocean front swim out room which was beautiful! The food was excellent at all the restaurants! The service was wonderful!! There are 4 a al cartes in this section plus the buffet. The buffet is not open for dinners, so we needed to make reservations at the other restaurants or go to the buffet in one of the othe [... read more]r sections. You have access to all the facilities and restaurants in the other 5 sections. There are double decker buses to take you to the other sections or you can walk to them along the beach on wide walk ways that take you from one end of the Barcelo to the other, about 2 kms. The decor was very modern. The colours were light and muted. The halls and rooms are large. We did not feel crowded anywhere. Even the beds are oversized! There were lots of chairs and shade at the pools. The pools were a bit cold the first couple days we were there, but when the weather warmed up, the pools warmed up. There are lots of chairs at the beach, but the swimming is better over in front of the other sections. There is a massive new convention centre which hosts large groups. While we were there 2 groups came through - one of 700 and one of 1,000 delegates. The large group swamped the buffet for lunch. The other group we barely saw except in the lobby bar at night. Overall, we had a good vacation and would highly recommend this resort.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Good resort-did not like the layout with the restaurants so far away that you had to take golf carts.

Nice beach, appreciates that there were no vendors on it. Very windy so the surf was rough which’s apparently Accor to the staff is common for December and January. As a result swimming and snorkelling was not possible. The catamaran excursion was not as enjoyable either as there was no snorkelling. I would not recommend this resort to friends although I would recommend Dreams to people with children just not in December or January.

The Sens Riviera: Great vacation

Jan. 7, 2020, Grandma, mom, and two children stayed at the Sunscape Akumal spa and resort for a wonderful week...I have no idea why this resort is getting so many poor reviews...we had a sun club room with a balcony overlooking the pool, and had no complaints....until the third day there was a bathroom issue in the suite...after reporting it, the manager escorted us to a new room......the presidential suite..he sent a bottle of Champaign to our room and special treats for the kids as well as cho [... read more]colate covered strawberries for all, and upon the last day checkout is 12 noon, and he told us just to stay as late as we needed. The beach was beautiful, green, clean and full of beautiful tropical fish..dinosaur land was great for the kids and they loved going to kids club...plenty of food, and drinks, I think this is one of the most kid friendly resorts I have been to even prior to the room upgrade

Iberostar Waves Tucan: Amazing family vacation

Beautiful lush grounds with so many beautiful animals all around. We had such an amazing family vacation. Beautiful beach and tons of chairs at pool area. Friendly staff and close to shopping. Would definitely recommend.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Another super Bahia stay!

We favor the Bahia Resorts and have been to ones in Mexico, D.R. and Jamaica. No matter which one you are at they will solve your problem whether it be the AC, phone or hair dryer very promptly and correctly. Always very pleasant and try hard to go above and beyond to please you. This trip we stayed at the Luxury Akumal and had an Oceanview room near the infinity pool. So good! Food is available I noticed for gluten free and sugar reduced dieters too. All areas are very clean at all times. Entertainment was average but enjoyable. If you what to take the guessing out of a resort just book a Bahia resort. We have never had a bad experience with them.

Moon Palace Cancun: Decent vacation

We had a pretty good time at this resort. Overall not a bad vacation but we were missing some things to make it amazing. Pros: nice resort, good drinks, lots of space around the pools, decent food at the restaurants, 24hr room service + bistro. Access to the grand with a day pass was also a great experience to use their facilities such as the day club + water park. Cons: terrible service at most of the a la carte restaurants - dinner one night took almost 3 hrs from start to finish with 1/2  [... read more]hr to 45 mins in between courses, resort was very busy and at times the bars were so busy the bartenders wouldn’t even acknowledge you until you were waiting for 10-15 mins, many areas of the resort need maintenance - cracks in the paint in the rooms, cracked and missing tiles in the pools, small things that haven’t been maintained over time, the beach was probably the worst part of this resort. I know this area has a problem with seaweed that renders the beach unusable, it does have a strong smell and when we made our way down within 30 seconds we were covered head to toe in sand fleas, not a great experience there. There is also not great night life and it gets very boring at points. If I were to go back I would spend the extra money to stay at the grand side, where the facilities are better maintained and there is more to do.

Grand Sunset Princess: Love this resort !

From the welcoming to our departure, all was great. Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful and clean grounds and rooms. The food was great, entertainment every night was fun. We also booked a special romantic dinner on the beach....out of this world !! Staff made us feel extra special, took care of us as if we were superstars, the setting was perfect, the food was incredible. Also Sunwing rep Miguel was great, knowledgeble and helpful. Moon Palace Cancun: A True 5 Star

Moon Palace is the place to be if you want to be treated like royalty. The staff go above and beyond to take cate if their guests. The food, grounds, pools, entertainment and service was the best my family and I have ever seen. We highly recommend Moon Palace. Fingers crossed we will make it back one day.

Tesoro Los Cabos: Best Location in Cabo

Great location for restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Very nice pool. If you’re going to plan on eating and drinking at many places, you can’t beat the location. I would definitely go back. ***They’ll try to sell you a vacation club membership. We unplugged our room phones and skipped the appointment***
